Lestatsgirl15- Thank you! I thought it was a cute factor too. =]
Guest- Ahaha thanks for your review! It warmed my heard! I think he needs to straighten up too. =D
I woke up as someone sat on my bed. The shorter stature and gravity defying hair told me it was Hiei.
"Hiei?" I asked, just to be sure.
He grunted and I smiled.
"I was wondering if you'd come back," I whispered.
"You're stupid," he said.
I felt like I had been slapped.
"What?"
"You're stupid for loving me, I can't give you what you want," he said, "So you should stop."
I sat up and glared at him.
"Hiei, you don't just stop loving someone like that, you'd have to do something horrible to me for me to stop loving you," I explained.
He went quiet and I sighed.
"I won't say it again if it makes it any better," I murmured.
"I want you as my mate, but just don't get the human emotions involved in it. I'm not like Kurama," he said.
"I know, that's why I love you both, you're so different," I replied.
He left the room without responding and I sat alone. Eventually my sadness got to me and I headed down the hall. Silently I entered Kurama's room and walked up to his bed. I gently climbed in and he stirred slightly. I cuddled up to him and he instantly curled up to me.
"Kisa," he whispered.
"What?" I replied.
"Why are you in here?"
"Hiei visited me," I answered.
He said nothing but kissed my shoulder.
"Sleep well Kisa," he said quietly.
I stretched and groaned, pushing back against someone. I jolted in surprise until I remembered I was in Kurama's room. I turned over and smiled as I saw his face. Worry free and slightly smiling, he looked so peaceful.
"Kurama, good morning," I whispered.
He stirred and as his eye met mine, he smiled.
"What a way to wake up," he murmured huskily.
I loved how deep his voice sounded in the morning.
"We should seriously consider moving into the same room," I said.
"Why's that?" he asked.
I shrugged and rolled myself off the bed, careful of my stomach. Suddenly the baby began moving.
"Kurama, wanna feel?" I asked.
He hurried over and placed his hand on my belly. His expression lit up when she moved under his hand.
"It's amazing," he mumbled.
"Imagine how I feel," I said, "It's like I feel every little movement."
"Does it ever hurt?"
"Not yet, I know it will eventually."
Out of nowhere there comes a knock on the door. I give Kurama a questioning look and he goes to answer it. To my surprise, Hiei stands there.
"We have to talk," he said.
I rose and he shook his head.
"Kurama."
Of course he didn't want to talk to me, why would he? Ugh. I reassured my happiness by feeling the baby move and smiled. Even if I only have Hiei as a mate, it was something right?
"What?!" I heard from the hall.
I rushed out in surprise and saw Kurama almost seething.
"We killed them," he stated.
"Apparently not," Hiei retorted.
"Who?" I asked.
They turned and I saw Kurama look worried.
"The society we finished off, apparently we didn't finish them all off."
My stomach dropped and I fell back.
"Still? They're after me still?!" I snapped.
He nodded and came forward.
"We'll protect you, don't worry."
I shot a withering glance at Hiei and snorted. Anger from the situation hit me hard and I knew it was going to come out bad. I tried to stop it but word vomit can't be stopped.
"I trust you Kurama, but with Hiei always being gone, it's hard to know when he's reliable," I snapped.
Kurama looked surprised and Hiei looked like he got slapped. I quickly walked past them and found Yusuke.
"Yusuke, spar with me, now," I demanded.
He dropped his controller, no questions asked, and followed me. I took my stance and he took his.
"You sure you wanna fight preggo?" he asked.
I nodded and pictured Hiei was across from me. I quickly jumped over and kicked him in the stomach. He grabbed my foot and threw me into the air, catching me moment from the ground.
"You're fighting too angry, you're going to make mistakes," he said.
"I don't care, I need to let off steam," I growled.
"Then run or something, I don't want to be the cause of your accident," he replied.
He grabbed my arm and we took off running. Around and around the property we ran until we dripped with sweat. When we finally stopped it was getting dark.
"Come on, I've got to shower and make dinner," I huffed.
He nodded and followed me inside. I hurried to the bathroom and dashed in. To my surprise I saw Hiei, only a towel around his waist.
"Oops," I whispered.
I started to grab the knob but was stopped. I felt his chest wet and warm against my back and shivered slightly.
"Just because I don't have those feelings you do, does not mean I don't want to be around you," he said.
I nodded and felt tears come to my eyes. Ugh, stupid emotions! Sometimes pregnancy kills me.
"Okay," I whispered.
"So you can stop avoiding me, you are still my mate," he said quieter.
"Alright, I'll stop, but can you let me go?" I asked.
"Why should I?" he replied.
"Because you're getting me wet and I smell to the high heavens," I answered.
"You smell fine," was all he said before attacking my neck.
