BANG!

Okiya sprang forward as Lupin shot the gun, and rushed at him the same way he had previously.

Lupin saw this coming, and repositioned the gun to where he was carrying the barrel, and managed to strike Okiya across the face. But Okiya took this opportunity to grab the gun once again, and take another shot at the thief.

BANG!

Lupin staggered back; the bullet went right through his coat's left shoulder pad, grazing his skin slightly. He ignored the pain and regained his balance.

Okiya glowered at the impudent man. It didn't matter to Lupin if the police found him or not, but if no one was in the Black Organization, how was he to change the world?! Seeing as how his opponent was still injured, he raised the gun to take another shot, but Lupin was ready.

"Sorry kid, but you ain't my first gun fight." Lupin reached into his pocket and pulled out a small mini-revolver. "Let's play Russian Roulette."

"As if I'd trust those odds with your reputation!" Okiya growled and started shooting at him frantically.

Lupin twirled around, letting the bullets zip right by him, and aimed the gun at Okiya as he dipped himself. Okiya quickly jumped out of the way and started running as the bullets started coming at him. The engineer could tell that Lupin was screwing with him by that damned merry expression on his face. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a small black device and threw at it at the thief.

Lupin frowned and shot the device mid-air before it could get too close to him. A loud bang and smoke emitted, making Lupin instinctively cover his face. Despite the circumstances, the thief kept his senses sharp, trying to hear any upcoming movements.

CLANG!

Lupin's eyes widened and ran through the smoke, and glared; the little brat already used the fire escape. Looking around, he saw Okiya's figure going for an expensive-looking Mercedes; Lupin didn't blink when the familiarly beautiful woman, Vermouth, opened the car door to collect him. He watched the vehicle disappear pass several streets- they weren't going to the aquarium; it was the wrong direction.

Lupin's eyes widened in realization when he thought of where the closest landmark was from here, and from that speed he wasn't wrong. Cursing, he started running to the edge the building, and leapt off the side and onto the next building shorter to it. Seeing a tent cover in the entrance, he used that to jump from the roof to bounce safely to the ground.

Looking around, he grinned when he saw a Yakuza member checking his phone, leaning against his motorcycle. Creeping up on him carefully, Lupin tapped his shoulder, the Yakuza turned to meet his gaze and-

BZZ!

Lupin put his taser away and quickly took the guy's phone and keys; checking the text message on the guy's phone, Lupin smirked and texted a confirmation back. Then, after typing another text, he typed in Fujiko's number and immediately sent it to her. The response was immediate.

RING!

Getting on the motorcycle, he started it up and answered his phone. "Hello my lovely Fujiko! Thank you for responding so quickly!"

"Cut the crap Lupin, is the text true?" She asked him.

"Oh yes, it's true. I got the information off a nice Yakuza-man's cellphone; he got a text from another pretty woman about breaking into the Sebastian Manor, so it seems as though the main fights going to be brought to you guys." He explained merrily, weaving through the deserted streets and buildings.

"That's wonderful. Are you on a motorcycle right now? Where are you going?" Fujiko had a frown in her voice.

"Oh don't be like that my love! I just have to make a stop over at the Kudo residence! The Black Organization leader and his favorite underdog are on their way there!" He smiled and twisted the gas handle.

"Seriously?!" Fujiko demanded.

"Yep! But don't worry, I got it! Just call Agasa-san and Anita-chan; tell them to finish up their projects, and head out of the emergency exit!" Lupin answered.

"Right. How long do they have?" She asked anxiously.

"Oh...I'd say about twenty minutes. Got to go love!" He snapped the phone shut, and leaned forward on the bike; bracing himself for the upcoming burst.

Sebastian Manor

"Ah. Please do that." Fujiko flipped her phone shut after following Lupin's order of calling Agasa. They were panicked, but luckily finished, and promised they'd be here as soon as they could through a series of sewer lines or other alternative routes. Agasa had his ways.

Fujiko Mine was very worried; the main battle was heading to them, and she wasn't sure if her, Sabo, Kazuha, and Booker could the hold the fort down long enough for reinforcements to arrive. She looked at the room of girls with the exception of Kaitou. Rachel was recovering well, but she was not in a state to fight, Serena didn't know how to fight, Kazuha was by herself in protecting the girls, Eva was helping with the hacking, and the rest of their group in the mansion were busy taking care of BlueJam's crew. Speaking of which...she hadn't heard form Sabo in a while, she hoped the tophat boy was okay.

"Mine-san!" Fujiko turned around to Eva Kadan, who looked frantic but not despair. "We unlocked the phone! We know where Jimmy Kudo is!"

Nodding, Fujiko figured that information would be on Stelly's phone, but the boy was unfortunately, smart enough to lock his messages. "Where is he? Can you establish contact?"

"He's in the abandoned aquarium off the dock; it was shut down months ago due to maintenance issues with the glass. According the reports we looked up, several employees died due flooding from the glass breaking in one exhibit." Eva explained.

"Shark exhibit right?" The female thief guessed.

"Yes. How did you know?" Kadan asked.

"Just a hunch." Fujiko sighed. "Okay, prioritize finding away to contact him; if they're using that old aquarium than at least some of the mainframe still works, use that to start the connection. Meanwhile, you, Booker, and Vivian board yourselves up. The main battle's coming our way, and we need to prepare."

"Understood." Kadan.

"Good." Fujiko turned to Kaitou, who was holding Aoko's hands carefully. The girl was still frightened and obviously stressed from not seeing her father, but what Fujiko did next had to be done. "Kaitou-kun." Kuroba turned his attention to her. "I'm sorry but...I'm going to have to ask that you leave her now and join Saguru in the government's database office. He'll need your help, and now that the main battle's been detracted to us, you can move out there without anybody seeing you."

Kuroba tightened his grip. "If the main battle's coming here, then I'm staying. I'm not leaving Aoko again!"

"That's an understandable regret but poorly placed in this situation, I'm afraid." Fujiko didn't blink. "You're useless here; you have no combat skill and your white tux makes you stick out like a sore thumb. Additionally, there are certain devices upon your person which restrict your movement too much. You're a good escape artist kid, but you're severely one-dimensional, which is a weakness we can't afford here."

"Urusai! I'll find a way to make it work! I'm not leaving Aoko again!" He stood his ground.

"You heard the woman, you're useless!" Surprisingly, it was Kazuha who spoke up. Everyone turned their attention to her. "You're a useless boyfriend who left his girlfriend alone all the time, and never considered her feelings as you did stupid things! Just like Kudo!" He was about to argue, but Kazuha continued. "However, it sounds like you're not totally useless in other fields, so go where you're needed."

"You..." Kaitou growled.

"Think about it!" Kazuha snapped. "She's already been traumatized enough hasn't she? How do you think she'd feel if she knew you were out in battle, possibly dying, or worse she might see you die. Do you really want that?"

Biting in his lip, Kaitou turned to Aoko, who bore a supportive smile. "It's okay Kuroba...I'll be fine here."

Kuroba wasn't convinced. "You sure?"

"Un." Aoko did something unexpected and hugged him. "I'm angry with you for keeping this from me, but I also know you never meant to hurt me. So please...go where you're needed so things can go back to normal. Please..."

Kuroba bit his lip and hung his head in defeat. He turned to Kazuha and sent her a harsh glare. "Take care of her."

"Don't die then." She countered.

"Deal." He nodded and turned back to Fujiko. "I'm ready, Mine-san."

In the Sebastian Manor Media Room

Booker and Vivian were typing furiously on the laptops provided to them, trying to access all the city's main security systems. After being told where their son was, they had barely bothered to breath, typing continuously. The only reason why they weren't off to the aquarium now was because they knew it was a war-zone out there, and Jimmy needed them in their current position. They didn't even notice that the door to the media room opened again, revealing Eva Kadan; she looked at her friends in worry. She honestly felt useless as she was here, but she couldn't do much else. She was needed to make some corrective revisions on the laws Vermouth screwed in her political campaign. At the very least, she needed to get the original leaders of the cities back in place.

"Kadan-san!" The woman turned to see one of the children apart of that detective league. It was Mitch, and he held out an old book he found in the Sebastian's library. "Here's that book you wanted!"

"Good." Eva nodded. "Please go get Jirokichi-san and ask him to bring any family documents he thinks would be relevant."

"Yes!" Mitch saluted, but then looked at other two adults in the room. "Have you found Jimmy-san...?"

"...Yes, he's alive." Kadan nodded. "We're trying to reach him right now."

"Oh." Mitch nodded. "The others are pretty upset with him."

"They have right to be." She nodded.

"Are you made at him? For lying to you?" Mitch asked uncertainly.

Eva was silent for a moment before answering. "I find his decision fairly disappointing, but...it's nothing short of a natural reaction. As much as I want to be angry with him, I can't say I wouldn't do the same. People do the stupidest things for the people they love, without realizing...they hurt you the most by committing such stupidity. But you can't be angry with them, cause you find yourself committing the same sin."

Mitch didn't drop his doubt. "So it was unavoidable."

"In Kudo's case yes...I honestly don't think any other person would have acted differently. Hiding is human nature, when we get hurt we try to cover our weaknesses; it's simply the way it is." Kadan explained.

"I guess..." Mitch clenched his fists. "But...I'm still made at him; Mikey's mad at him, and Amy's got right to be mad! That's not gonna change! But...I guess I can see your point...if I was hurt, I'd try to hide it too."

"Ah. Thank you for your understanding." Kadan nodded, but then thought of something. "Excuse me, but did one of your friends say their father owns a liquor store?"

"Yeah. That's Mikey, why?" Mitch rose a brow.

Kadan's eyes gleamed as an idea formed in her head. "Oh...just curious."

"Dammit!" Booker Kudo slammed his hands on the computer, making the woman and child snap to look over at him. "It won't let me through! We need Saguru!"

"We'll get there eventually, but first...I have an idea. Booker, Vivian tell everybody to head to a certain liquor store; it's on the way here." She insisted.

"Eva, this is hardly a time for a drink." Vivian frowned.

Eva's eyes hardened. "DO IT!"

"Yes ma'am..." Never question a doberman when its barking.

Several Miles Outside the Manor

Sabo had long-since taken the fight with BlueJam and his crew outside the manor; minimizing the damage was crucial here. Besides...by the way BlueJam was panting, and the fact that his crew had either abandoned him or were currently detained in a tool shed off the Sebastian's property, made Sabo feel no less confident. Pursing his lips, Sabo twirled his cane sword again, and started walking towards the potbelly man.

"You're as pathetic as I remember you, BlueJam-san." Sabo glared at him.

"Heh. You think I'm intimidated; you've been trapped in this god forsaken world for ten years with no one to train with. Other people knocked out my men, you simply got lucky with Porchemmy, and that Kaitou-brat caught me off guard. But as you can see, there are no such distractions here." He readied his combustion flintlocks again, pulling the triggers.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Sabo stood his ground, and simply got into a more defensive stance and twirled his cane sword faster and faster; deflecting the bullets as they came. Eventually, he managed to side-step enough to the left to start making a run for it.

BlueJam laughed and kept the Gatling flintlocks going. "HAHA! You're just like your brothers! They were running scared too back then!"

Sabo's eyes widened a fraction, and suddenly jumped back, and dashed forward; slicing straight through BlueJam's right side.

The man hissed and dropped his stance slightly; the weight of his weapon suddenly became relevant due to his wound. But Sabo wasn't giving him any chances, Sabo kicked BlueJam in the forehead, sending the large man to his back. And before BlueJam could even react, Sabo stomped a foot to the man's throat, and put his cane sword through the man's left shoulder blade.

BlueJam was having trouble breathing, and he knew he'd be in trouble if he didn't treat his wound. Despite his situation, he smirked at how Sabo was looking at him; the contempt and rage were definitely there, and with several mote pushes, the boy could truly become a real killer. "What's the matter, boy? You don't want to?"

Digging the weapon in deeper, Sabo responded. "They didn't run." BlueJam blinked at the boy's words. "I know my brothers; they wouldn't run. Ace is too prideful to throw a fight, and Luffy's too stubborn to leave either of us in a situation like that. I know they stayed around to fight you; I know they tried their hardest to win; don't you DARE desecrate my brothers' names." Sabo squeezed the handle.

"Heh. You're right, they didn't. They stayed and fought till the bitter end; I was about to kill the little one, when something caused me to stop." BlueJam's words cut through like a knife. "Don't know what happened, all I knows is that the bigger one started shouting frantically; urging the boy to leave the area. Had the little one listened, he wouldn't have had to have been drug off by those bandits."

"So DanDan-san saved them." Sabo was forcing himself to breathe steadily. As painful as this was for him, he needed to know what Luffy and Ace endured. "Then what happened?"

"Nothing really. The bitch somehow grabbed my gun and shot me. As if I didn't have enough to worry about with that damned fire. After I was shot I passed out and woke up in a prison; a noble family offered me another chance at freedom, so my crewmates and I took it." BlueJam answered. "It really was amazing...the fact that they were really going to go that far to 'purify' a land isn't it. I swore to those two you were just like them."

"Like who?" Sabo clarified.

"Your parents and any other damned noble who think they're better than us! All of them are the same! All they care about is money! Seems like this world's no different." BlueJam answered.

"I see. So Luffy and Ace had faith in me the whole time, didn't they?" Despite the situation, Sabo actually found himself smiling, tears of relief forming at his eyes.

"Tch. They refused to believe you were anything like that, and that you were only in that damned noble society because you were being forced to. They tried to make themselves forget you, but couldn't. Led them into the flames of hell to begin with." BlueJam finished. "Which is where you and I will be going, boy." BlueJam made a sudden motion for his pocket and pulled out a grenade. It was electronic, so one push and it was detonation.

Sabo's eyes widened considerably and dropped his cane sword and jumped back, trying to get as much distance between him and the pirate captain as possible.

BBBBBBOOOM!

Sabo stumbled slightly as the blast went off and hit against a tall rock. When the dust cleared, he looked up to see his sword cane perfectly intact in the charged remains of the cruel man. Walking up to his weapon, he pulled it out of the remains and turned away from it, walking back towards the mansion. "You were no pirate BlueJam...you were barely even human. You were just a parasitic coward whose cheated death all these years; rot in the deepest pit and stay there."

Sabo dusted himself off, and quickly started running towards the mansion, before his phone went off. Quickly answering, he spoke: "Yeah?"

"It's Jigen. You okay?" The gunman answered.

"Ah. BlueJam's dead; bastard took his own life." Sabo muttered.

"I see. I hate to ask you this, but if its possible, we need you to get to down town; we need you to head off the fractions; they're heading right to the Sebastian manor." The gunman explained.

"Fine. Let me get to the mansion to get transportation, and I'll be there!" Sabo answered.

"Not needed kind sir!" Sabo jumped and turned around, and was surprised to see Kaitou Kid. "Need a lift? I think we're going the same way."

Sabo nodded and spoke to Jigen again. "Nevermind, Kaitou-san's here. Where and what do you want me to do exactly?"

"We need you tqo to go to a liquor store and set up a blockade. You and Kaitou should work together on this, actually." Jigen said as an afterthought.

Looking at the thief in confirmation, Kaitou nodded. "Understood. What's the liquor store called?"

"We'll give you the passcode to get in; it's owned by one of the detective kid's parents so keep the collateral damage to a minimal." Jigen started. "Okay, the liquor store is called: "Kojima Liquors. You have ten minutes, get there!"

Ten Minutes Later

Heiji Hattori, Gyogoku Matako, Richard Moore, the Metropolitan Police, the FBI, and CIA agents, were currently running for their lives. Jigen and Goemon were at the rear of the group of retrievers, trying to block as many human yakuza members and fishmen as they could. The technology provided to them by Haibara, Agasa, and Lupin worked well, but they were all getting tired and they were severely outnumbered. Though Haibara and Agasa had made crash-course weapons for them were great; they had been made in a rush and didn't have too much juice left in them.

Not to mention...the fishmen had started taking vitamins, or some kind of strength enhancers, due to the fact that they became meaner, stronger, and faster- if that was possible. Several human yakuza members tried them, but had died on the spot; biological incompatibilities it would seem.

None of them knew how they were getting out of this, they were just told to retreat back towards the Sebastian manor, and to pass a liquor store on their way.

Meanwhile, at the rear of the crowd; Jigen paid attention to several street signs they passed, and shouted to Goemon. "Ishikawa! We need a road block, now!"

"Understood." Goemon, suddenly sprinted forward towards the front of their group, and went to the right-hand side of the line; spotting an old, skinny red building. After allowing Goemon to hurry everyone along pass the blockage point, Ishikawa sliced and ran forward again.

BAM!

The fishmen and yakuza members halted at the sudden obstacle; the humans were getting trampled as the fishmen started ramming through the brick. After several moments of cursing, one of the largest fishmen in Hody's crew, Ikaros March, got through. He ran forward, snarling as he looked around for those stubborn fools. He smirked, still high on his steroids, as he saw Jigen and Goemon wait alongside Heiji and Matako patiently. When the humans saw them, they ran around the corner.

Ikaros smirked and sped forward, leading the other fishmen and remaining human yakuza members to their prey. But as soon as they turned at corner, Ikaros, as well as the other fishmen and humans found themselves slipping and making a hard call to the ground. Ikaros growled and forced himself to sit up, strangely smelling sake; that was strange. Smelling his arm and looking at his surroundings; he discovered that this entire street had been flooded in the liquid. The fishman frowned as the last of his group made their way over, but met the same clumsy end. What was the point of wasting such good alcohol? Were they commemorating themselves with a drunken party?"

"YO!" Ikaros and everyone turned to see Kaitou Kid and Sabo sitting on a street light. Kaitou smirked and did a mock bow for his captivated audience. "Ugly gentlemen! I am the great magician thief, Kaitou Kid! And today I will be performing a classic trick called 'Love's Vengeance'. My assistant, Sabo-san here, will start by cutting down that traffic light, please!"

Sabo didn't say anything, but the cut the power-line and quickly jumped away, trying to get as much distance from the area as possible.

"Now then! With this match!" He got out a simple stick. "I am going to make this street become a blaze and then magically douse it with rain!"

Ikaros and everyone's eyes widened as he lit the match. Kaitou smirked and dropped it to the ground. "Showtime."

SSSSIIZLE!

The entire enemy armada quickly caught fire, and each other started screaming at each other; stripping themselves to get away from the heat. Both humans and fishmen saw several barrels of liquid in the street, and quickly tried to dunking themselves in it; only to cause worse injures to themselves! All the barrels were filled with sake or rum! Some of them started fainting from the shock, the fishmen were clawing at their throats; their water-based skin was more sensitive to the heat than the humans. They were roasting alive!

After about a minute, when Kaitou saw a certain number of both fishmen and humans go down, he turned back towards Sabo and nodded.

With a simple flick of the wrist, Sabo cut a fire hydrant beside him and allowed the water to take its natural course. Slowly, the fire was put out and the alcohol was washed away into the streets, revealing the burned bodies of the fishmen and yakuza.

Ikaros March started getting up, but was met with a blade by Ishikawa. The swordnsamn shook his head. "It is over now."

"Damn you humans..." March fainted; along with the rest of his comrades.

This signaled Kaitou and Sabo's comrades to reappear; each revealing at the damage of their dear city now that the immediate threat was over.

Kaitou readied his wings, making Sabo turn to him. "I have to go; Saguru still needs my help."

"Good luck." Sabo nodded at him as the thief flew off; still dazed and was relived that this part was over for the most part. He turned to Goemon and Jigen. "What happens now?"

Jigen straightened up and turned to address the crowd. "All police, FBI, CIA, or security members stay here and help me with the restraints on these guys! As for the rest of you, head back to the Sebastian Manor...they've found Jimmy Kudo."

Hattori's eyes widened. "He's alive?"

"Yeah. You'll get the details when you get there, now go! We may have won the battle, but the war's not over; we can't lose focus!" Goemon shouted.

"Indeed. Sabo-san will lead you back to the mansion, I will stay here to insure there is proper reinforcement." Isihkawa nodded.

"Sounds good. War won or not, at least we can finally say that...we took back the streets of Tokyo." Matako pointed out.

"It means nothing if we don't have our families." Richard pointed out.

"Small victories are worth cherishing old man." Heiji cleaned his slightly. "Victories are moments of pride, and they're moments of rest."

Review please! As I said, this is NOT the final chapter, I just needed to proportion the story to where I can limit my scope more. Thank you! Review or PM if any questions or concerns!
