Chapter 18- Showdown
''Now the real fun begins.'' Momoko smirked, her ruby eyes glowing as she summoned a ruby colored energy ball and started playing with it.
Natsuki smiled darkly ''finally, this is it…I can achieve the ultimate power and finish what I started long ago!''
Kyo looked at the chuckling Momoko with contempt ''I have her all by myself now…And there's nothing stopping me'' He smirked and looked at the smiling Natsuki ''Not even you Natsuki''
''I'm just going to change my clothes...and test out my new power'' Momoko, still smirking and winked at Natsuki as she walked away.
Natsuki chuckled ''Oh yes I'm definitely enjoying this.'' His hazel eyes glowing. '' Go after her.'' He said to Kyo in which he nodded and walked off
''Train…We need years to train before we take over this world. That will be easy.'' Natsuki thought.
With the gang
''Where the heck did Kyo hide Momoko'' Hino said, clearly frustrated with all the searching.
Brick sighed and said '' Calm down. We just need to keep searching.''
A burst of dark energy was suddenly felt by all of them. They looked at each other and they knew where they were going.
''Momoko, don't worry. Your brother's coming for you.'' Hino thought as they all flew to the direction of where the dark energy bursted.
Back to Momoko
Momoko walked around the mansion as she observed every detail around it ''this power…It's so addicting. Why did I even refuse it at first?'' She smirked as she summoned a ball of dark energy and threw it. A loud explosion was heard and as the smoke clears, a large hole was seen at the place where she threw it. As she keeps doing this, she unknowingly made the darkness inside her grow and grow.
''Need to control my power more.'' Even though she advised herself, a smirk was still seen in her place.
''You know, if you want to test out your powers, there is a training ground here. No need to destroy walls at the mansion.'' A voice said to her.
Momoko rolled her eyes and said '' Really Kyo? It was just a small bit of taste of power that Natsuki gave to me you know? ''
''Still, you've just got an additional boost of power. You're already strong enough'' He deadpanned and looked at her up and down ''you'll need to adjust your aura to it.''
''Yeah yeah whatever.'' She said with a bored look. ''I never knew you were the scolding type Kyo.''
Now its Kyo's turn to roll his eyes and ignored what she said ''aren't you a bit cold of what you are wearing?'' He raised his eyebrows to her.
''Really Kyo? Really?'' Momoko said with a deadpanned expression at his question. She was wearing a black hoodie with a red shirt underneath and a black skirt. Then suddenly a mischievous smile appeared on her face. ''Or is that what you're really noticing huh Kyo?''
She walked closer to him and placed a hand on his chest. Kyo's stone face is cracking and his heart started beating faster. ''its working!'' Momoko thought mischievously.
''What are you doing?'' Kyo raised an eyebrow at her but a slight blush can be seen in his face.
''Oh nothing, just getting a bit warmed up. I am a bit cold'' She smiled sweetly to him and drew her face closer to his.
Kyo suddenly smirked and also drew his face close to hers as their noses are touching now ''I don't hesitate Momoko.'' ''This feeling... I won't let you come back to them Momoko. You're mine.''
Momoko slightly widened her eyes, her now ruby eyes staring at dark emerald ones. It's like they're connecting each other. Lips came closer but the sound of the door bursting open interrupted them.
''Well well, aren't you two getting cozy?'' Natsuki said a bit coldly. Momoko separated herself from Kyo and smiled slyly at him. ''Of course we are right Kyo?'' She winked at him.
Kyo rolled his eyes but his smirk was still in place. ''Hmmmmm I'm going to finish what I started earlier Momoko.'' He winked at her and turned his back on them.
She raised her eyebrows and smirked '' we'll see if you really finish it then.''
''You're really challenging me?'' He said to her mockingly.
''Yes, I think I am.'' She said with confident in her voice.
''You really are something red.'' Kyo chuckled.
Natsuki twitched his eyebrows. These two were flirting in front of him. That's unacceptable! He glared a bit at Kyo and placed his hand around Momoko's waist. Momoko looked at him with curiosity. ''They're here.'' He only said.
Momoko's ruby eyes light up in excitement ''finally! I was waiting for them, man they're so slow.'' She giggled. Natsuki chuckled at her and scratch her ear and said ''Calm down now.''
Momoko froze as she felt his hand scratch her ear. A shiver run down to her body and slapped his hand away from her ear. ''Stop it.'' She glared dangerously. It was a bit scary sight with her ruby colored eyes glowing a bit.
Natsuki raised his hands in a mock up surrender but a glint can be seen in his eyes.'' Ears a bit sensitive huh.''
Momoko's glare never wavered as she said ''let's just go please?''
''You want an entrance then?'' Kyo said, voiced filled with mischief.
Momoko suddenly smiled and said ''I like what you're thinking Kyo.''
With the gang
They burst through the door and landed with their battle stance ready.
''MOMOKO! WHERE ARE YOU?!'' Hino shouted at the top of his lungs. His voice echoed around the mansion.
''Is she even here?'' Brick whispered, being cautious to his surroundings.
''Yes, I knew I felt the dark energy here. It's…strong.'' Hotaru said looking around the mansion.
''This mansion is so big.'' Buttercup said, her hammer started cackling some electricity in case something happened.
The tension around them is so choking, until a voice startled them.
''Well, well, well. Look what we have here. A search party? Why am I not invited then?''
''NATSUKI!'' Hotaru growled at him and charged. Natsuki shook his head at the predictable move as he sidestepped and kicked him at the stomach. Hotaru was sent flying to the ground with a groan of pain ''is it just me, or did he just get stronger?''
''Where is Momoko?!'' Butch glared at him. Natsuki laughed; oh he loved this feeling, the feeling of control and knowing what's going on. ''Let's just say that the seed grew into a beautiful tree.''
Hino widened his eyes and glared murderously at Natsuki. ''You…!'' Hino's hands glowed and a big fire ball was launch at Natsuki. Natsuki smirked as a dark big ball of energy countered Hino's fire one and a blast happened.
''Kyo…'' Daisuke said while Kyo appeared at Natsuki's left side. ''Apparently I can't let you hurt him'' Kyo smiled darkly.
''Why did you betray us Kyo?!'' Daisuke shouted at him in anger and pain. Kyo looked at him with a stoic face ''you would never know Daisuke.''
Daisuke clenched his fist ''Let me know then!'' He took off in a high speed and attempted to punch Kyo to his senses but as he neared Kyo, a black vortex suddenly appeared in front of him and his punch was stopped by a hand. A girl's hand.
''Yeahhh can't let you do that either to him.'' A light and smooth voice said, he can tell that the person was smirking at him right now and he gritted his teeth in frustration.
The vortex started to fade out as the figure was slowly revealing herself. ''You're such a showoff'' Kyo scoffed at her. She giggled and said ''can't help it.''
''M-m-momoko?!'' Bubbles said, shocked that she stopped Daisuke from punching Kyo.
''Wha-!? Momoko?'' Daisuke said his clenched fist still in Momoko's hand.
''Yeah, that's me.'' Momoko said in a clearly bored voice. ''Why don't you just let go of Daisuke's hand already Momoko?'' Natsuki said a bit irritated. Momoko decided to tease him ''But Daisuke's hand is soooo soft to hold. I just can't seem to let go.'' She pouted.
Daisuke blushed a bit and tick marks appeared in Natsuki and Kyo's head. ''Momoko…'' Natsuki said her name dangerously. Momoko smiled at him and said ''Oh alright, if you say so.'' Her grip on Daisuke's hand got tighter as Daisuke winced in pain. She used her other hand and palmed Daisuke to the ground resulting in a crack.
''Momoko! Why did you do that?!'' Boomer yelled as he immediately helped Daisuke.
''Cause I want to.'' She sneered ''be thankful that I just palmed him. There are other worse techniques that I should have used you know.''
''What happened to you?'' Daichi narrowed his eyes while he noticed the ruby eyes of Momoko.
''What happened to little old me?'' Momoko asked while walking at Natsuki's right side and pecked his cheek.
''Got a taste of what I really want'' She grinned deviously, charging up all her powers gained from Natsuki. The walls started shaking and an ominous dark aura surrounded her. Hotaru and the others widened their eyes at the show of power.
''T-this is getting bad!'' Hotaru thought, sweat started to drip from his head. Just what did Natsuki did to her?
''I-is this really you Momoko?'' The RRBZ, Bubbles, and Buttercup thought
''Natsuki…You will pay for what you did to her'' Hino thought furiously
''W-what happened to her?'' Daisuke thought with Daichi helping him to stand up.
A dark violet dome was then formed around Momoko as it gets bigger and bigger until it covers the whole mansion. ''Well, that was surprisingly a nice show.'' Natsuki smiled darkly with Kyo chuckling to his left.
The dome then disappeared and the sight sent shivers down to their spine. There's Momoko with a menacing dark aura around her. Her ruby eyes glowing dangerously and an amused smirk at her face. Natsuki held her by the waist and kissed her at the cheek in which she smiled cheekily that it angered the others
''Are…are they together?'' Brick, Boomer and Butch thought devastated
''No…no way.'' Daichi, Daisuke and Hotaru thought clenching their fist
''The old Momoko would be squealing in happiness because of her stupid crush at Natsuki.'' Buttercup thought bitterly ''If only the situation is different.''
''Are…are both of you together?'' Bubbles suddenly asked cutting the others from their thoughts.
Momoko raised her eyebrows and bluntly said ''No.'' The others quietlybreathed out a sigh of relief while Natsuki rolled his eyes at her bluntness and tightened his hold to her ''Can we just go now?''
Momoko smirked at his possessiveness and flew out of his arms. ''It's your fault for taking too long chasing me.'' She decided to tease him.
'' I would have gotten you sooner if you weren't so hard to get and persistent'' Natsuki growled.
'' That's just me'' Momoko said with a cheeky smile and looked at their spectators. Others are looking at her in desperation, fear, sadness, determination and most of all, hope. ''Time to have some fun.'' She thought
''Where did she go?'' Butch asked as Momoko suddenly disappeared. They all began to look around until Brick spotted her. ''Butch behind you!''
Butch quickly looked behind him and was met by hypnotizing ruby eyes and a smooth voice that said ''Hey there handsome.'' And suddenly she kissed him.
''What the actual?'' Hino said shell-shocked and it appears he is not the only one. Even Kyo and Natsuki seemed shocked.
Natsuki snapped out of his shock and immediately went behind Momoko and broke them apart.
''What the heck are you doing?!'' Natsuki said to her, obviously angry. Momoko grinned and said ''to do this.'' She snapped her fingers and Butch suddenly played his flute as vines started to appear out of nowhere and wrapped themselves to the gang.
''Butch! What are you doing bro?!'' Boomer shouted while vines started to wrap themselves around their body.
''Sorry no can do'' Momoko grinned, putting her elbow at Butch's shoulder. ''He's with me for a mean time.'' Butch looked up and they saw that he has ruby eyes now. They realized that Butch was under Momoko's control.
''Snap out of it bro!'' Brick shouted, trying to wiggle his way out of the vines.
''Damn it why does these vines suddenly got so strong.'' Buttercup muttered trying to use all her muscle strength to get out.
''That's because I added in a bit of my power to him so yeah'' Momoko clearly hearing what Buttercup said.
''But do you really have to kiss him?'' Natsuki snorted. ''Yeah, I wanted to make you jealous that's all.'' Momoko grinned deviously.
''Sure as hell made me jealous'' Kyo thought glaring at Butch's form.
''Well, shall we go then?'' Natsuki while mockingly bowing. Momoko shook her head ''you're such a joker. Come on then.''
On cue, Kyo came to them and a ball of black energy formed in his hand. He was about to throw it until he sensed something.
''!?'' Was Kyo's expression and closely dodged a slash from a sword. ''Don't think I'm finish with just that.'' Hotaru said emotionless. He started to slash Kyo diagonally, up, down, left and right and at each slash, Kyo dodged them all.
''Fiery BeyBlade!'' A certain someone shouted as a fire covered beyblade hit Butch's hand making him drop his flute and burning his hand. This also snapped him out of the trance he was held. ''What? What happened?'' Butch said holding his head in pain.
''Awwww it's over already?'' Momoko pouted ''Stupid Natsuki.''
Natsuki rolled his eyes '"Stop pouting. We had a fight to get to.''
''Yeah, yeah sure'' Momoko said waving her hand. ''Let's hurry this up. I got some training to do.''
''I'm not letting you come with them Momoko!'' Hino growled.
Momoko scoffed ''Why stop me brother? You're the one who made me like this. What didn't trust your loving sister so much?'' She mocked with a harsh tone that made her said brother flinch.
''Yup, it's definitely working.'' Natsuki said with a snigger.
''You don't understand!'' Hino yelled at her ''Natsuki must have brainwashed you! Just stop this and come back with us.'' He whispered the last part.
Momoko raised her eyebrow ''Brainwashed me? He's the one who gave me this power!'' She laughed darkly while dark energy balls circled around her. ''Gave me power to do this!'' On cue, the energy balls left her body and started to chase after the gang.
''Everyone! No matter what you do, stay away from those balls!'' Hotaru shouted, still having a sword fight with Kyo.
''Just what are you really Kyo.'' He asked more like a statement.
Kyo grinned ''that's for me to know and you to find out.''
Hotaru gritted his teeth in frustration and charged towards Kyo with a battle cry. ''Then I'll just have to force it out of you! Vampire Slash!''
Kyo smirked ''you have to do better than that.'' His sword began glowing dark and met with Hotaru's. Hotaru realize that Kyo is not even struggling and flew back quickly. ''Your…Your stronger than before.'' He said seriously ''Have you been holding back all this time?''
''Maybe I am, maybe I'm not. I'm not here to answer your question.'' Kyo looked at his side and saw Momoko throwing the dark balls to her former team and said team kept dodging.
''You know when they get hit by those balls, it's all over for you'' Kyo smirked. ''I'll just have to defeat you and help them then! '' Hotaru shouted. As the two began to clash, a scream was heard.
''BUBBLES!'' Buttercup shouted as Momoko successfully shot Bubbles. Bubbles fell to her knees with black smoke whizzing out of her and fell down.
''Bubbles! Bubbles! Wake up!'' Buttercup started shaking her and calling her name.
''She won't wake up for a while. So will you please stay still so I can get over with it?'' Momoko yawned, clearly didn't care what just happened to her former sister. ''I really want to go out to the outside world you know?''
Buttercup's hair shadowed her eyes as she focused her gaze on the one who is truly responsible for all of this. ''Natsuki…You will pay dearly for this. For what you've done to MY sisters.''
Buttercup charged at Natsuki with impressive speed that it surprised Momoko. ''Take this you bastard! Thunder Spirit!''
Some kind of gas appeared behind her and connected with Buttercup's hammer as yellow lightning started to cover it. Natsuki sensed it and quickly drew his sword to connect it with Buttercup's hammer.
''You're strong, I give you that.'' Natsuki said while Buttercup gritted her teeth and used all her strength to overcome Natsuki. Natsuki's feet slide back a bit by her power but maintained his stance.
''But not strong enough.'' He said, he quickly kicked Buttercup by the stomach so hard that she flew towards the wall that it cracked.
''Wow, not as cool as blue but still pretty original.'' Momoko said surprised. Daisuke took this moment to trap Momoko. ''No need to hold back.'' He whispered to himself. ''Metallic Lasso!''
A rope that is made up of metal was quickly shot from his sleeves and attached itself to Momoko.
''!?'' Momoko was surprised when some kind of metal rope attached to her body. She tried to break free with her strength but the metal didn't even budge. ''He's not holding back...''
''You really like tying me up don't you?'' She smirked at him. Daisuke's eyebrows rose up and said ''It's the safest way to contain you without hurting you also.''
A soothing sound was then heard as Momoko's world started to turn blurry. ''Damn it, I'm getting sleepy. We need to finish this quickly.'' She though, panic quickly filling her up.
Natsuki quickly rushed over to Momoko but was stopped by an arrow at his feet as ice started to rise up and form a dome with spikes around it. He looked over the culprit and knew it was Boomer with his arm going down after firing the arrow. He tried to move but suddenly an ice spike pierced his every move.
''I'm trapped.'' He thought as pain started to greet him. He never thought that they would start going all out, Damn it.
Kyo saw the situation at hand and tried to get to them real quickly but Hotaru's incoming slash manages to distract him. ''How did things gets out of their hand already? '' He thought and started to go all out with Hotaru to finish it early.
''Two can play at that game.'' Hotaru thought as he also powered up and started to fight back.
''Come back home with us Momoko.'' Hino tried to convince Momoko. But from the look of things, it was all for nothing.
''I won't'' She glared rather fiercely to him. Daisuke sigh and walked over to her. Momoko gladly let him meet her eyes. She tried desperately to glow her ruby eyes in an attempt to show that she had changed but the drowsiness prevented her to do so.
''Look,'' He glared back at her. ''You're trapped. Natsuki's trapped also. One move from him and he can be dead any minute. Kyo is busy with Hotaru at the moment. You're getting sleepier also! Why won't you just come back and let us explain everything?!'' He practically screamed it in front of her face.
Momoko growled, as in like an animalistic growl. '' You just don't get it do you?'' She whispered. Anger started to consumer her thoughts and feelings. Her dark powers started to show up in a form of an aura. Black sparks started to cackle.
''Why won't all of you get it…'' She started talking a bit louder. She clenched her fist so hard that it started to draw blood.
Daisuke getting a bit intimidated, asked her ''Get what?''
With that question, her world just exploded in anger. The metallic literally melted around her body. Her dark aura grew even bigger, the atmosphere around the room started to get heavier. Black sparks appearing all around her that made Daisuke took a step back.
''DON'T PLAY STUPID WITH ME! YOU ALL LEFT ME AND FOR WHAT? TRAINING IN ISOLATION AND DOING WHATEVER THE HECK YOU WANT TO DO?! RIGHT NOW I JUST DON'T CARE, BUT MY FORMER SELF SURE AS HELL CARED AND CRIED. WONDERING WHAT IS WRONG WITH HER, WHY CAN'T SHE REMEMBER ANYTHING. WHY DID SHE WAKE UP AND TO BE GREETED BY STRANGERS WHO CLAIMED THEMSELVES AS HER PARENTS! ALL MY LIFE I WAS WONDERING AND CURIOUS WHO I AM REALLY.'' She shouted at them, all of them shocked at the outburst and anger. An explosion of dark energy blasted the entire person around her excluding Natsuki and Kyo.
''And right now, I just know who I am. This is the New Momoko you are looking at.'' She said rather darkly as her figure started to show with her dark quickly disappeared from her spot and reappeared at Natsuki's side. Black flames surrounded her hands and started to melt the ice around him. ''Gone with the Momoko you all knew before.'' She expressed her disgust at her former self, remembering every bit of her personality and attitude.
''It's time for a new era to begin.'' Her eyes glowing dangerously. Kyo walked towards the two of them, knowing that this is it.
Natsuki placed his hands around Momoko and smirked. ''Looks like I won.'' He thought.
All of them struggled to get up and can't. The dark outburst Momoko released kind of sapped their energy as well. Kyo put his hand up as a portal appeared behind them. ''It's time to go.'' Kyo said, a bit out of breath. Natsuki snickered and said ''Hotaru tired you out?''
Kyo scoffed and said ''As if. Let's just go.'' As they turn and was about to enter the portal until a voice stopped them.
''I'll…I'll still get you back.'' Daichi gritted his teeth and forced himself to stand using his willpower.
''You're…You're not yourself. I know that. I just have to knock you down to your senses.'' Daichi forcedly smirked to himself. He slowly walked towards Momoko and was face to face with her. Ruby eyes against sky blue eyes. He was about to reach towards to her face but was suddenly thrown backwards by Natsuki.
''Daichi!'' Daisuke yelled
''Don't touch her!'' Natuski hissed at him, obviously possessive towards her.
''Let's go already.'' Kyo said coldly. Momoko nodded as the trio entered the portal. Before the portal disappeared, Momoko looked back and gazed at them.
''Momoko…'' Brick whispered. Momoko gazed at the longingly but shook her head ''This is my choice. My new path.''
''We will come back.'' Natsuki smirked ''And when we do, a lot of changes is surely you will all face. Until then, farewell.''
And with that, they disappeared into nothingness…leaving a group of unconscious heroes without their bubbly orange head friend/crush/sister. They failed to get her back…
A week has passed since Momoko left with Natsuki and Kyo who betrayed them. Most of them were pretty devastated of what just happened. They just lost their pink-eyed leader, but one of them held determined. Speaking of which,
''Will all of you stop sulking please?!'' Hotaru sneered at them ''Don't act as if we just lost hope! We still have a chance!'' He convinced them.
They all looked at him ''But Momoko willingly go with Natsuki! How can we get her back?!'' Daisuke said, clearly heart-broken and guilty because he was th eon who pushed Momoko too hard when she was tied up.
''So?! We have months to train even years! Who knows when will they get back.'' Hotaru said with a blank expression. Then he chuckled ''We can knock some senses through her thick-headed skull.''
All of them snickered at that. ''We all know our favorite orange head is pretty stubborn when she gets to.'' Hotaru smiled softly.
''….You're right Hotaru.'' Brick said with a soft smile. ''C'mon guys! We have some training to do and when they come back, I'll make sure Momoko comes back to me!'' Butch and Boomer started to argue with Brick at that proclamation while Miyako and Kaoru high fived each other. ''We're gonna get our sister back'' They thought.
''Cheer up bros'' Hotaru to the 3 PW members. ''We can do this, just have some faith.'' He pat them to their backs in which they smiled gratefully.
''Thanks Hotaru, for putting back our faith and hope in us.'' Hino smiled. Daichi nodded excitedly and pumped his fist ''Let's do this thing!''
Daisuke shook at his cousin's enthusiasm but nodded anyway. ''We are gonna get you back cherry blossom. Believe on that.''
''We're coming for you Momoko!'' They all thought.
With that, this story is officially finished But there's more of course! There is gonna be a sequel but problem is I don't know when will I publish it.
