Chapter 21: Taste of Lightning (by Deathsembrace137)

Chapter Twenty One

Hiro Mashima owns Fairy Tail

Gajeel was still hugging me when Natsu reappeared, a tall girlish drink in his hand, "Here you go Luce," he said as he handed me the drink. His eyes glared for a moment at Gajeel's arms around my waist, before with a sigh he looked slightly away, choosing to ignore it, at least for a time. Still, I felt a little bad, so I pulled away from Gajeel, taking a seat at a small table nearby to sip my drink at.

The boys both sat down with me, and we quietly watched the proceedings of the party going on around us, all of us content to be sitting, or so I thought. As I slowly sucked on my drink, I noticed Natsu fidgeting more and more with each passing second. Finally, I couldn't take it anymore, "You alright Natsu?" I asked.

He turned to me and frowned, glancing briefly at Gajeel before turning back to me and nodding his head, "Oh, yea I'm good Luce."

I raised my eyebrows at him and shook my head, "Natsu, you've been my best friend for years. No lying to me. What's bothering you?"

"Well, it's just. I saw Rogue talking to you earlier, and Sting, and Jellal, and now Orga... Well, I was wondering why you didn't seem interested in any of them. Why you only seem interested in me, Laxus and Gajeel."

As he was in the middle in speaking, Laxus too who had taken a seat with us, and I glanced nervously between the three of them, wondering how I'd answer Natsu. It was true, that I had no interest in any of the other men, but how was I supposed to explain my interest in the three of them, especially in front of the other two.

At a loss, I slowly shook my head, and took another small sip of my drink, all the while sorting my thoughts. What I would say, and what I wouldn't. And finally, I shrugged, "Honestly, the three of you have seemed the most sincere in your interest of me. You have all pursued me, each in your own way, and I respect that. And, each of you have in turn grown on me. I mean. Natsu, you've always been an amazing friend to me, but I never knew that you were interested in me like this, and now that I do, while I'm surprised, I'm also really happy. And the side I was able to see of you the other day. Working so hard to make me happy, and make sure I had fun and enjoyed myself. It was a new side to you, and it would be nice to see more of that.

"And Gajeel," I said, turning to face the man, a small smile on my face, "You've surprised me from day one. I thought you were just the grumpy old iron eating slayer who always sat in the dark corner, and yet you turn out to be funny, and teasing, thoughtful. If I was able to discover this in just a couple week, I can't even imagine what else I've missed about you."

Then, I turned to Laxus, my smile widening, "And you. I don't even know what to say, or where to begin. You're just. An amazing man. And to think that you're interested in me? Wow. You've been funny, sincere, romantic. We're able to connect on a deeper level due to our similar pasts. I feel like you see me, and I really value that.

"The three of you are all really great. I hope you all know that. No matter who I end up deciding to date, I hope to remain friends with all of you. I'd hate to think that I would lose one of your friendships over something like this. Especially when I feel like I've just barely begun to scratch the surface with you, Laxus and Gajeel." I frowned as I left off, and then looked hopefully at the three of them.

Natsu was grinning widely at me, while Gajeel was sitting back with a small smirk on his face. Laxus was leaning with one elbow on the table, his eyes on me and a small smile on his face. It was Natsu though, my best friend and the one who'd started the conversation who spoke for them, "Of course we'll all be friends with ya, Luce. We'd be idiots not too. You're the best and coolest and prettiest girl in the guild." Then, grinning, he stood up, placing a small, quick peck on my cheek, before running off towards where Gray and Sting were fighting.

I laughed as he left, my hand rising to touch the burning hot spot where his lips had been, and a moment later, another hot kiss planted itself on my other cheek. Gajeel leaned away from me, and nodded towards Natsu, "He's right ya know. We'll be friends no matter what happens. Don't worry yourself over it. See ya later, Bunny Girl," he said, ruffling my hair as he walked past.

Turning back to the table and the person still sitting there, I smiled at Laxus, who grinned back, "See, now you don't have to worry. When you choose me, they'll both still be friends with you."

I burst out laughing, and watched as his eyes twinkled in response. Finally, after I had regained control over myself, I reached out, patting Laxus arm. "Thanks for the laugh."

He shrugged, "I meant it seriously, but okay. And, though I don't think it needs to be said, the same goes for me. If you do choose flame brain or Gajeel, I'll stick by you."

"Thank you Laxus. It means a lot to me," I whispered quietly. "I've just... Gotten close to both you and Gajeel and I don't want to miss out on that."

Laxus leaned forward, tugging his chair closer, till our knees were touching. Then, leaning over to rest his hand over mine, he murmured, "You won't have to worry about that. I don't have many friends, but the ones I do have, I protect till the end. The same can be said of the other two as well."

I smiled to myself, looking to where our hands lay connected on the table. His hand dwarfed mine, they were so much larger, and rough with use. But it felt wonderful, the feelings behind that small gesture. And the fact that he wasn't just reassuring me about himself, but rather all three of them. He wasn't using this as an opportunity to try and get me to choose him, but rather, acknowledging and attempting to soothe my fears. And I realized then, he was right. No matter what happened, the three of them would always be my friends. Nothing could change that.

"Feeling better now?" Laxus asked me.

I looked up and nodded my head, and then frowned, "Yes. Speaking of that though. What did you do to Orga?" I looked around as I asked the question, not seeing the man anywhere.

Laxus sneered to himself, and then gave a relaxed shrug, "You don't have to worry about that."

I bit my lip and raised my eyebrows, "Are you sure? I don't want you to get in trouble with Master over anything."

Laxus laughed, "Gramps won't care. I didn't do anything that bad. I just kicked him out, and gave him a ... mostly verbal beating."

I laughed and shook my head, "So, he won't be able to walk for weeks?" I asked.

Laxus nodded, "That's about right. But it doesn't matter, Sting won't care, and as long as he doesn't care, my Gramps won't either."

I frowned, "Why wouldn't Sting care?"

Laxus shook his head, "Lucy, you have no idea about the effect you have on these guys. Any one of them would move mountains to be with you. Besides I saw Natsu pulling Sting off you earlier. Trust me, you've got nothing to worry about."

I grinned and tried to hide it by looking down. It was true, I had noticed a lot of the men looking at me today, no doubt the news of my dreams reaching every single one of them. Laxus was wrong about one thing though, and that was that all men wanted her. There was still a few that she was safely on the friends side of things with. "Well, maybe some of them would, but not all. Jellal isn't interested in me."

Laxus leaned back, "Yea, you should be happy about that. Now the Titania won't kick your ass."

"I would never kick my best friends ass. But I would kick the ass of people suggesting that I would hurt Lucy," a stern and very familiar voice spoke behind Laxus.

Laxus tensed up and then slowly turned, "Erza. Jellal," he murmured, nodding his head at the two approaching mages.

"Mind if we join you?" Jellal asked politely.

I nodded my head at the empty seats across from us, "Of course. I see you found Erza," I said with a tiny grin.

Jellal smiled warmly at me, "I did. And you were right."

Erza grinned at me as well, "Yes, Lucy. It appears I have you to thank for... Jellal's boldness tonight."

I nodded my head and smiled, "No thanks necessary."

"I would however, at a later time, like to hear of your dreams of him. It would be interesting for me to see how they compare to the reality," Erza said, completely serious as she stuck a fork into a piece of cake.

Jellal went pale, and he shook his head, and Laxus scowled. "Him too now. Who haven't you dreamt of, besides me, that is?" he asked, pointedly glaring at me.

I grinned nervously at him, "Well, um... I haven't dreamed of..." Quickly, I scanned the guild hall, looking desperately for someone I hadn't dreamed of, and thankfully, I spotted a few, "Um, Ren. And Droy and Reedus. No really old guys, unless you count Zeref... and Loke. Um.. I haven't dreamed of-"

I was cut off by a loud groan from Laxus, and him sinking his head into his hands, "It's hopeless. You're never gonna dream of me. I can't help but think it's because you don't want to," he murmured quietly, and though I knew he was teasing, I felt bad.

"Laxuuss," I whined quietly, taking his hand. "You know I want to. If I could, I promise I would. I don't know why this happening, so how can I explain why I've dreamt of some people and not others."

"Actually, Lucy. I had an idea about that," Jellal said, his words causing both me, Laxus and Erza to look at him with full attention. "Well, Erza was explaining to me the dreams, and the nature of them, after my.. encounter with you earlier. And I can't help but think it sounds like someone has cast a sort of spell on you. Not that it's not normal to have those dreams, but when you take into account how vivid and real feeling they are, even causing you to.." he cleared his throat quickly and blushed, "Physically react to them, and the fact that you are able to remember every detail.."

I blinked owlishly at him and then looked down at the table, "You mean, someone has been making this happen?" I asked slowly.

Jellal shrugged, "From how it sounds. You've never had this sort of thing happen before, so it would make the most sense. I've thought too about how they'd do it. A spell or potion would wear off too quickly, they'd have to dose or cast it daily, which means, it's most likely an enchanted object. If I were you, I'd give your apartment, particularly your bedroom, a thorough search later."

I shook my head, and then threw my hands to the side, spluttering, "But who would do that?"

Erza frowned and glanced around, "Well, who were you talking to the night it first happened?" she asked.

I frowned, resting my hand under my chin as I tried to remember. It had been about Natsu the first night. And him and Happy had been hanging out at my house. Before that though I'd been at the guild. I talked to... My face went pale.

"Lucy?" Laxus asked.

I frowned and turned around to glare at the culprit. Mira was sitting and talking/arguing with Jenny from Blue Pegasus. Shaking my head I turned back to my table of people. "Mira, that's who did it. Of course. I mean, who else would have the nerve." I shook my head.

Erza cocked her head looking at Mira as well, "Well, I would say that makes the most sense, but are you sure? Juvia did that love potion that one time as well..."

I shook my head, "No, the day it happened, I had a conversation with Mira. She was trying to get me to think about dating someone. She suggested Natsu, and then when I shook my head, she went through just about everyone else. I can't believe I didn't notice before. And.. Oh god. I'm so stupid. She had Happy wait after I left, and when him and Natsu were over later, I swear the cat snuck out of my bedroom giggling to himself." I shook my head again, and let my head fall to the table with a loud thunk. Then, turning my head, I looked up from the corner of my eyes at the three staring at me with concern, "I cannot believe I never figured this out."

Jellal smirked, his eyes taking on a darker look, "Maybe you were having too much fun..." he suggested slyly.

Erza giggled. And I sat up, turning to stare at her. "Did you just giggle?" I asked in mock shock.

Laxus chuckled, "Oh, I think she did, Lucy. I think she did."

Jellal burst out laughing at the same time as me and Laxus, while Erza pouted to herself, then she stood with a huff, "I'm leaving. You coming, Jellal?" she asked, unable to keep a threatening edge from her voice.

The tall blue haired man nodded his head and stood up, and after they waved goodbye, they left. As they did, I glanced around, noticing significantly less people than before. In fact it looked like everything was winding down. Bacchus and Cana were half sprawled on the bar, passing a bottle back and forth. The Tri-men were passed out along with Ichiya against the far wall, under four matching indentations in the stone. I snorted as I realized I missed Erza flipping out on them. Gajeel was with Lily, chewing on iron, and Natsu was sitting with Sting and Rogue, gesturing wildly. For the most part, everyone else was gone.

Looking towards Laxus, I yawned, and stretched. "I guess I'm going to head home too."

Laxus frowned and looked around, then stood up, "I'll walk you."

After saying a few quick goodbyes, I followed after Laxus as he held the guild doors open for me, and slowly started walking home. We walked mostly in silence, our arms occasionally brushing against each other, but other than that, no contact, and no conversation. But the silence, fit. Comforting, just like his presence, and all too soon, we were standing in front of my apartment and facing each other. And then, Laxus spoke. "Tonight."

I frowned, "Tonight?" I asked, my voice breathless as he suddenly stepped forward, his hand carding through my hair.

He nodded and moved closer, "Yes. Tonight you'll dream of me. Promise?" he asked. Then, before I could answer, he closed the distance between us, his lips lingering for a moment just centimeters from mine, and then he sealed his lips over my mouth.

My body went limp, his arm wrapping around me just in time, holding me tight against him, and his lips... so soft and warm. They danced tauntingly slow over mine, caressing against me. My lips tingled with the sense of electricity, his scent of spice, and storms, and musk filling my nostrils.

Then, slowly, he pulled away, and my hands, working of their own accord, gripped tightly to the fur of his jacket, keeping him close to me, as I blinked up at him, my mind slowly catching up to the feelings of my body. Slowly coming to the sense that I just kissed Laxus. Or, that he kissed me. And though it was quick, and respectful, it had been full of heat and desire.

My heart thudded uncontrollably in my chest as I stared at him, breathing heavily just inches from me. His face was tight with control, clearly holding himself back from doing what he wanted. And for a moment, for a very long moment, I wished he wouldn't hold back. I wished that I wasn't caught between three men so I could simply enjoy his company, enjoy the feel of his lips against my skin. But no. It wasn't time yet. To make my decision. Not when the scent of him still lingered, sending my mind reeling worse than alcohol ever could.

No, I needed a clear head for this decision. A clear head, and an afternoon of quiet to sit and think everything through. These men, they all deserved a fair chance. And I would give them that. So, straightening up, I smiled at Laxus. "Thank you. For walking me home, and for taking care of Orga. And for the... kiss," I said quietly.

Then, I stepped forward, wrapping my arms tightly around him. "And Laxus?" I murmured against his chest, "I promise. Tonight is your night."

The man tightened his arms around me, and then after a long moment, let go, and stepped away. "Goodnight Lucy," he spoke, his voice quiet and throaty.

I smiled at him, and waved goodbye, as lightning gathered around him, and then, he was gone, the thunder booming in the distance. And I could do nothing but watch the spot he disappeared, before entering my apartment, and laying in bed, holding my hand to the lips that still felt his kiss.

The sun settled over the horizon, the glowing disc of light sending it's last gentle waves of warmth over the land before disappearing completely, leaving the sky a smoky grey. I glanced around, taking in my setting, and as I realized where I was, my skin tightened in anticipation. Tonight, my promise would ring true. It had to. Because the place where I was, the beautiful clearing overlooking the city, I associated with only Laxus.

My heart thudded in my chest at just the thought of his name, and without thinking, I murmured it softly. With just that small whisper, the hairs along my body rose, my body came alive with tingles, and warmth spreading. I'd been waiting awhile for this dream. And I couldn't wait to get it started.

As I turned away from the panoramic view, I gasped, finding the trail and meadow behind me alight with candles, burning in clear crystal jars. My hand leapt to my chest, pressing against the hammering within, and a gentle exhale of air left my lips. My body shook nervously, as I took a tremulous step forward, so excited, and yet, nervous as well.

What if, despite all my wishing and hoping that he would be great, what if this dream was a dud, like Jet's? What could I possibly tell the man, who I just knew would be waiting for me tomorrow? I didn't think I could handle anything less than perfection. But then, Laxus sort of was perfection. And I realized, that maybe anything he did would be perfect, simply because it was him. Besides, Laxus was not the sort of man who inspired lackluster dreams.

No, he was the man who left my knees shaking. My heart beating so hard it ached. The man who caused my insides to twist and churn with desire. Who made molten lava stream through my veins. He was the man, along with Gajeel and Natsu, who hounded my thoughts during the day, and now, finally, he would visit me in my dreams.

My lips quavered, and I darted out my tongue, licking nervously along my bottom lip, because I realized, so far, Laxus had yet to be seen. I knew it, deep down in my bones, that this dream was his, but if that was so, where was he?

My eyes darted over the clearing again, and I realized, that the candles were arranged along a trail, and without hesitation, I leapt at it, walking briskly down the path.

As I tread along, I realized I could feel the air, caressing against mostly bare skin, and curious, I glanced down. A smile played on my lips, and I grinned satisfied at my outfit. It was simple, and mostly innocent, like me. Or maybe not dream version me, but real life me.

A smooth, filmy white nightie brushed against my mid thighs. It lay loose till my waist, where it tightened over my breasts, pressing them upwards, and leaving a tantalizing amount of skin uncovered. Grinning in joy, and looking forward to seeing what Laxus would think of me, I continued on, never noticing the ominous clouds gathering in the sky.

The air grew slightly cooler as I moved steadily along, raising light goose bumps along my skin. Just as I was raising my hands to rub some warmth into my arms, the first rain drops hit.

They started slow, each drop fat and heavy, the coldness of them seeping into my bones. I grit my teeth and moved faster, determined to outrace the storm. There was no way I was getting caught in one in my dreams.

No matter how fast I went though, there was no out pacing the now steady downpour. Torrents of water rushed past my feet, pooling on each side of the trail. The candles had long since sputtered out, and I was now stumbling blindly, hoping desperately that I was going in the right direction.

Just as I was beginning to think I was hopelessly lost, a sudden flash lit up the sky and the surrounding area. I came to an immediate halt, like a doe caught in the headlights, and managed to get a quick look at my surroundings.

I had somehow completely turned around and was almost back to where I started.

I let out an aggravated shout, just as thunder sounded across the heavens, more lightning ripping across the sky. With a scream, I threw my hands up over my head, and then I frowned. Of course Laxus dream would somehow entail lightning. It was, after all, his element. Still, any time now, I was ready to be rescued.

With a sigh, I again began trudging through the mud, wincing as it squelched between my toes, and after walking for a short bit, I realized, that though my mind had no idea where it was going, my body did. It felt like a tug of gravity, and as I concentrated on the feeling, it grew stronger, pulling me along, in what I hoped was my dreams final destination.

The pull grew continuously stronger, and as I went along with it, my emotions began to churn, lifting into excitement and need. My belly all but clenched with it. Gods, but how I'd been wanting this particular dream. And to think, it was finally happening.

A warm light pulled me from my thoughts, and I grinned as a secluded cabin emerged through a break in the woods. Windows glowed with inward firelight, beckoning me forwards. I was nearly running by the time I reached the porch.

I stopped at the door, wondering if I should knock, when it opened from within. A low, deep voice, one I had come to know, spoke to me from the warm glow within, "Took you long enough, Blondie."

I grinned foolishly, my insides melting into a puddle, as my eyes were immediately ensnared by the intense, sparkling and stormy blue eyes of none other than Laxus Dreyar.

This was it. This was my dream of Laxus. My insides twisted as I gazed upon him, looking absolutely delicious in a tight fitting sleeveless shirt and tight maroon pants. My fingers twitched, already begging to smooth along his skin, but I stilled them, wanting to savor the moment of simply being here with him.

"You going to stand out in the rain, or are you gonna come in?" Laxus asked, stepping aside and leaning against the open door.

I nodded my head, and gave him another stupid, girlish grin, before hopping inside, where almost instantly, shivers over took me. Without missing a beat, Laxus stepped forward, closing the door with one foot, while draping his heavy coat over my shoulders and leading me to sit on a rug in front of the fire. I grinned wryly at him as I sat down, "I should have known your dream would include lightning and thunder."

Laxus laughed, a deep bellowing sound, and then rested back casually on his hands, his long and deliciously muscular torso stretched out in front of me, every muscle defined by his clinging shirt. "I'd say I was sorry you got caught in the rain, but the way that white lingerie is clinging to you..." he trailed off, blue eyes darkening in heat. The firelight reflected in them, making him look dark and dangerous, and oh so seductive, and suddenly, I couldn't breathe.

My insides were a mess. Twisting and churning, blood pumping hot and furious through my veins, and my heart beat... It raced, faster than ever before. My fingers twitched again at my side, and I couldn't wait. Not any longer. Not while Laxus was all mine. No, for the rest of this dream, for every single wondrous second of it, I was gonna spend it in his arms, touching him, holding him, and losing myself in the pleasure I knew I'd soon be feeling.

I crawled forward, my eyes glued to the prize in front of me. And every inch closer I came, his eyes darkened further, smoldering with a heated intensity that had me weak kneed and quivering.

I paused just in front of him, and then, slowly, lifted a hand, touching my fingers delicately to the scar I'd been yearning to touch. His eyes closed as my skin met his, and I felt the gentle breath of a sigh on my skin, only then realizing how close I'd come.

"You've no idea how bad I've been wanting this," Laxus murmured quietly, his eyes sliding back open, his intense stare again capturing me. His eyes were so serious, and so full of.. emotion and need. And it nearly broke all my self control to see that look directed at me. Because I was sure no other women in the world had ever seen Laxus look at them like that. No, I was the only one. I was special. And every moment I spent with him, he made me feel it. Even now, at just that simplest of admissions, I was blossoming, glowing in pride, and grinning in joy.

In answer to his comment, I leaned forward my hand now cupping his cheek, and I pressed my lips against his. As my lips touched his in the dream, I remembered all too vividly the kiss he'd just given me in real life, and I sighed in relief, because this kiss, this kiss we didn't have to stop. This time, I could give free reign to my emotions, let everything I was feeling out. Let loose on all my inhibitions, and simply enjoy being with Laxus.

His lips moved gently over mine, and I was amazed at the softness, the fullness. Amazed at how someone so big, and so powerful, could be so delicate, and yet, incite such reactions in my body. Because with just the smallest caresses, the barest hint of his lips on mine, I was already at a loss of breath, already wriggling in his arms. Already itching to feel him naked and pressed against me.

My hand slid down the curve of his jaw, and then I wrapped my arm around his neck, pulling me closer to him, till our bodies were flush against each other, and then I pressed my lips more firmly to his, parting my lips, and seeking my tongue out for a taste of him.

His tongue met mine, and the second it did, it was like fireworks bursting inside of me. I was instantly overwhelmed by the taste of his lips and mouth, the warm breath sliding over my skin, and the heat of his tongue as it trailed languidly over my neck.

My fingers dug into his neck, and I dropped my head down, resting it on his shoulder as my body moved on auto pilot, straddling him where we sat.

His hands ghosted down my side, momentarily cupping and squeezing my hips, before grabbing the hem of my nightgown and lifting it up over my head. As it crested my head, I shook my hair out of my face, and then stopped, catching Laxus eyes again, and I couldn't help but smile, and then smile wider when he returned it.

I brought my hands up, cupping his face again, and then I kissed him, slowly at first, but then fast and hard. Our tongues battling fiercely, but neither really seeking dominance, just enjoying the fight.

When I couldn't breathe anymore, I pulled away, tilting my head as he began licking and nibbling along my jaw, and then I moved my hands to his shirt, working it slowly up over his muscles. After it was off, I pulled away from his kissing, and simply looked, feeling the wetness drip from between my thighs at just the sight of him.

He was so damn hot it was unbelievable.

Every inch of him covered in finely tuned muscle. He was, simply put, a masterpiece. My mouth went dry as I gazed at him, memorizing every inch first with my mind, before finally laying my hands again him.

His skin was hotter than what I thought it'd be. And smoother. Soft even, despite the unyielding, hard muscles just beneath. My hands shook, as I gently slid them upwards, running my fingers over the curve of his muscles, trailing a thumb over the dip of his belly button. Running my palms over the smooth and wide plane of his chest, all while Laxus breathed heavily beneath me.

Finally, when I'd gotten enough to satiate me for the moment, I raised my eyes to his again, and was awestruck by the heat in his gaze. But before I could fully register that feeling of awe, I was flipped backwards. Laxus moved over me, somehow now in only his boxers, and attacked me with a ferocity that was possessive and all encompassing.

His hands swept over my skin, lighting up every nerve. His tongue followed close behind, sparking a burning heat inside of me, causing me to spread my legs and allow him to settle heavily between them. Our bodies slid against each other, already slick with sweat, and I lost myself in the intoxicating, sweet taste of his kiss.

My hips rolled upwards, thrusting up against the distinct protuding hardness hidden in his boxers, and I gasped at the largeness of it, and then immediately rubbed against it, my mind already running sensuous scenarios. I couldn't wait to feel him inside of me.

My hands tugged through his hair, pulling and carding through it. And I marveled at the softness. I always wondered what it'd feel like. I imagined it as being rough, maybe from hair product, but there was none of that. Just thick, soft full locks of hair.

I felt a vibration purr through Laxus throat, and I smiled at the sound of pleasure, and continued tugging at his hair. His nose pressed against my neck, and then I felt his teeth grazing over the sensitive flesh, ripping a loud moan from my throat.

"Lucy..." he whispered softly against my skin, and I shivered at my name on his lips. He whispered it like I was the most important, most beautiful thing in the world.

"Laxus, I want you, now," I whispered back, needing to feel him inside of me, moving with me, more than anything. My body was near shaking with desperation and craving, and I knew, I knew he felt similar.

A quiet groan ripped from his throat at my words, but other than that, his only response was to slide out of his boxers, and I gasped at the sight in front of me. I'd gotten used to ...big members since the start of my dreams. Fairy Tail apparently had a impressive array of well endowed men, but this. It was bigger than I thought, and just the sight of it, had my insides clenching, begging to be filled by it.

"Like what you see?" Laxus growled, and I could only whimper in response.

He chuckled quietly, then pulled me up, surprising me by sitting me in his lap. I had imagined Laxus as the rough and dominating type, not the kind who wanted to cradle me close. But I didn't mind. In fact, I loved it.

At this height, with our torsos and chests pressed against each other, my head tipped up towards his, and my legs wrapped tightly around him, I'd never felt so close to a man. And the connection between our eyes was electrifyingly intense.

His mouth came down on mine again, and I moaned and gave in to his kiss. Losing myself as I rolled my hips again, teasing him with how close we were, and yet, not joined. Laxus growled into my mouth, and then I felt his hands on my hips, lifting me up.

My mind went blank as he suddenly thrust upwards, impaling me on him. The blankness lasted a second, before lights flashed in my eyes, and I cried out, shouting his name into the flickering flame lit room.

My body tightened and spasmed against his, thrown immediately into orgasm by the sparking, lightning induced vibrating sensations coming from his cock, and for long minutes the only thing I knew was pleasure. The best, most satisfying pleasure of my life.

As I began to think I couldn't handle it more, stand even one more second of pleasure, I felt the lightning dissipate, leaving me panting atop him. Laxus eyes were so dark, they seemed black, but for the orange reflection of flame in them. His mouth was parted slightly, and a look of wanton lust captured his features.

I groaned when I saw him, and then leaned forward, rubbing my forehead into his neck, "That was amazing," I whispered.

Laxus laughed quietly, and then pulled away, looking into my eyes again, "Baby, that was only the beginning."

I gasped as he flipped me back over, laying me out on my back. I'd barely adjusted myself, cradling my legs wide for him, when he began pounding into me.

My back bowed and arched in pleasure, as I worked my hips along with him. Every thrust of his sent pleasure coursing through my body, and I lost myself in it.

I ran my hands up the length of his body, memorizing the feel of his hot skin and bulging muscles working beneath my hands. I watched, as sweat glistened on his skin, my eyes drawn to the inked portions of his flesh. The next thing I knew, my hands were sweeping over his chest, tracing the curvy outlines of his tattoo, his guildmark.

I felt his heart beat, under my palm, and I closed my eyes, focusing on my own, surprised when I found it matched his. And then pleased. When my eyes opened again, he was looking at me, his eyes lost in blissful pleasure, and I leaned upwards, pressing my lips to his.

He moaned into my mouth, and I whimpered back, wrapping my arms around his neck, and pulling him closer, pressing the length of out bodies together. I felt his movements slow a little, and then begin thrusting with more force, before slowly bringing the pace back up.

And then he shifted, pulling his lips from mine, and moving my legs up over his shoulders, his thrusting turning into full on slamming into me, and every powerful surge of his body had him pressing into that special spot inside me, and a moment later, I was screaming out his name, lost in another orgasm.

My insides twisted, as the waves of pleasure rolled over me. My head tipped back, and my mouth opened wide, gasping his name over and over. I heard him groaning above me, and I felt his cock pulsing inside of me, releasing himself within me, my insides clenching as they milked him dry.

And then quiet descended, and I felt the heavy weight of his chest settle over mine. His face dropping into the crook of my neck.

My fingers immediately began tracing a soothing, relaxed pattern over his back, and I heard him sigh in contentment. And the only thing I could think, was how much I never wanted this to end.

But I knew it had to.

I knew, at some point, I would wake up. And I would be removed from the bliss of my dream, and thrust into the harsh light of reality. I would remember the choice that lay before me. And that three wonderfully amazing men were waiting for me to choose one of them.

I sighed and pushed the thought away, refocusing on the warm body above me, but the damage was done. At my sigh, Laxus shifted, looking perceptively into my eyes. "Thinking of tomorrow?" he asked.

I nodded my head, "I have to make a choice."

He nodded, and then sighed as well, before rolling over me, with me atop his body. "You could just stay here forever..." he murmured, as he nuzzled my chest playfully.

I giggled and gently pushed his face away, "I could. But it might worry the guild, not to mention real life you, if I stayed asleep forever."

He grinned and looked up at me, "True. Besides, if there's a chance I get this for real, I don't want to miss it... There is a chance, right?"

I smiled down at him, and wiggled my body so my lips hovered just inches above his, "Of course there's a chance. You mean so much to me, Laxus. And this... This was beyond what I ever dreamed it could be."

Laxus smiled sadly, "But, it is just a dream."

I nodded, "Yes. But a really really good dream that I'll remember forever and ever."

Laxus laughed loudly, "Well, there's that then. At least you'll always remember this small part of me."

"Though, I may get more than this memory of a dream. I could choose you, and then be with you, every night and day for the rest of my life," I whispered huskily, leaning into place another kiss on his lips.

Laxus sighed, "That would make me the happiest man on earth."

I grinned against his lips, "I'd like to make you happy."

"Lucy.." Laxus murmured, then he pressed his lips to mine, his tongue sweeping into my mouth. I groaned quietly, my fingers reaching for his hair, running through it once, before everything faded away.

I woke up with heat lingering on my lips, my body still pulsating slightly from the pleasure I'd received earlier. I smiled widely, stretching like a cat as I reveled in the feeling. What a last dream to have, I thought, as I remembered figuring out that the cause of my dreams was the work of Mira's mischief.

Remembering that, I quickly sat up in bed, peering suspiciously around my room. Unsurprisingly, nothing immediately jumped out at me, and I sighed as I stood up, moving to give a more thorough search. And within five minutes, I found the source of all my dreams. Pinned to the wall right behind my headboard.

I stared at the large red and sparkly heart shaped dream catcher, watching as it gave off slight red and pink sparks, and then slowly shook my head and laughed. Of course Mira's love spell would look like that. The woman didn't know how to do subtle when it came to matchmaking.

Picking it up, I walked across the room, setting it in my kitchen. I would enjoy giving that back to Mira, letting her know that I knew that she did this. And then, I would thank her profusely, because though I still hadn't made my choice, I knew one of those men would have me. And it was all because of Mira and her matchmaking ways.

As I sat down at the table, I frowned, thinking over my many dreams, but focusing particularly on three. My fire breathing best friends, and the dream I had of him sneaking into my bed. So unbelievably realistic, considering how often he actually slept with me. And then my dream of sexy, Spartan Gajeel, all rough and powerful and dominating. Much like the real life Gajeel, though the real life Gajeel, I was finding also had a quieter, thoughtful side to him.

And now, my dream of Laxus. How he'd drawn me out of the storm and into his arms. His dream was intense, just like the real life version of him. My insides clenched at the memory, and I shifted in my seat, blushing. I knew I had to tell him I dreamed of him. And I knew how excited, and happy he'd be. He'd been waiting for this for weeks. But I couldn't imagine looking him in the face after...

Well, actually I could imagine. I'd been facing the men I dreamed about for weeks, I could surely face him. Especially after I promised him last night to dream of him. Then I grinned again. I had fulfilled my promise. And, remembering how he had kissed me last night, my smile grew wider. And I couldn't help but wonder, if he was as good a kisser in his dreams as he was in real life, was he as good at sex too? Were any of the men I dreamt about as good in real life as they were in my dreams? I was definitely curious about it, but unfortunately, I'd only get to see if one was.

Now, I just had to decide which one. Sighing, I sat down on my living room couch, pulling my knees to my chest. How the hell was I going to choose? All three of them made my heart ache. All three of them made me smile, made me laugh. And all three of them were worthy. But one of them. One of them had to be the one I was meant to be with. And closing my eyes, I leaned back, losing myself in the thoughts of which one I'd choose...
