TANYA POV
I paced on the back porch of the Cullen mansion, waiting for my mate and our group to come back with our visitors. Thomas said he would call when he got close but I couldn't help but worry a little. Especially when he was in the presence of people we could hardly trust.
There was a short flash of light and our group along with a bunch of other people appeared. I blinked at them before shaking my head.
"You said you were going to call," I said, mock glaring at my mate who looked sheepish. I walked over to him, wrapped my arms around his waist and buried my face into his chest. I inhaled his scent and he rubbed my back. I couldn't be mad at him. The closest I came was when he didn't tell me about us having children but I was more hurt than anything.
"I was," He murmured to me. I heard small feet heading in our direction along with the others. "But someone thought this would be an easier thing to do."
"It was." A voice muttered behind us as the back door opened.
"Dad!" The kids said in unison. I felt my boys slam into us and hug themselves to our bodies. I glanced over at Embry and saw that Irina and Sasha were hugging him. Henry and Rosalie were doing the same with Emmett. I noticed that Emmett scowled towards a male vampire when Henry wasn't looking. Rosalie did notice and narrowed her eyes. Nessie was squished between her parents.
I glanced Poseidon who looked like he wanted to hug Sasha but he stayed at a safe distance. This was mostly due to how Embry reacted to their bond. I had never seen Embry so angry before and Thomas had to hold him back then drag him away from the house.
"I'm alright boys," Thomas murmured to our sons as he rubbed the back of their heads. The boys leaned away to examine their father with their eyes I chuckled slightly as a memory of when Thomas trained Bella ran through my mind. I had done the same thing as them. "Really, I am." He told them. They both nodded at turned to the new group. Erik had narrowed his eyes as Angela joined us but I noticed that Tristan stiffened. I frowned at my son and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Tristan," I called but he didn't turn to me, he was staring forward. I followed his line of sight and saw a red haired hybrid staring at my son with a look of awe before she frowned. I frowned even more before I craned my neck to look at my sons face. He was staring at the hybrid with nothing but love and adoration.
And that's when it clicked. Another one of my babies had imprinted. I took in a deep breath as I felt Thomas grasp my shoulder. I glanced at him and he had a smile on his face but it did not reach his eyes.
I knew that I would have to accept the fact that my boys would have mates but I never expected them to be this young! I had learned to like Angela, she's good to my son but this...
Please don't finish that sentence mama. Tristan pleaded in my head. I know it's a lot to take in but please, give Amy a chance.
Amy? I asked back but Thomas interrupted.
"Let's just sit down and discuss this," He said tiredly. I noticed that the others were watching us warily. All except a woman with wavy hair who waved her hand and made a round table appear in the back yard. Thomas turned to where I was looking and cocked his head.
"How do you do that?" He asked. "Wand less magic or are you hiding a wand somewhere?"
"Wand less," She murmured. She was the one who spoke earlier. "I have this whole theory that wands hinder a magic user but now's not the time for that." She sat down and motioned for us to sit down. Thomas grasped my hand and pulled me towards the table. I eyed the new arrivals suspiciously as Thomas pulled me into his lap. He motioned for the others to join in. Some followed immediately and others followed reluctantly.
I thought it was cute when Erik grabbed Angela's hand and guided her to the chair next us before sitting in her lap. I glanced at Tristan and he smiled shyly at his imprint before offering his hand to her. At first she didn't grasp his hand and I saw my son's face fall but he perked up when she did and he guided he to the other chair that was next to us. I narrowed my eyes at the girl and she shifted in her seat.
"Not now babe." Thomas murmured to me. "We'll talk about it later."
"Hey beauty queen," A brown haired male called in a british accent and my son's imprint turned to him. "What's with the kid? Thinking about robbing the cradle then?"
An unearthly growl erupted from my mates throat. My sons, their imprints, and I followed. I heard other people growling but I didn't turn to the sound. The idiot held up his hands in surrender. "It was a joke!" He cried.
"Phobos," My mate began in a cold tone. "Don't joke about something like that. Especially when it pertains to one of my children." He hissed and Phobos nodded frantically.
"Sure mate, sorry about that." He said then muttered to himself. "Tough crowd."
"Sit down Phobos," The woman from earlier said with a sigh. "And for love of god shut up."
"Anything for you my love." Phobos murmured and someone hissed. I turned to the sound and saw Henry glaring daggers at Phobos. I frowned slightly and so did the others. All except Thomas who had a slight smile on his face. "And what's your problem laddie?" Phobos demanded before he narrowed his eyes. "Hang on a tic," He turned to the only male vampire who I assumed was Makhai. "Da is he..." Phobos trailed off but the vampire nodded.
"He is your brother." He murmured and Henry turned to glare at him. The others in that group looked at Henry in interest.
They're his siblings mixed in with the mothers of a few of them, Thomas explained in my head when I raised an eyebrow at him. Ah, the other hybrids but their mothers? I wonder how that's possible.
"Ah the sperm donor is here." Henry spat at the vampire who flinched but said nothing. "Why are you here anyway?" He sneered at him and Phobos narrowed his eyes even more.
"Ease up there lad," He warned Henry. Henry, Rosalie, and Emmett glared at him but he didn't flinch. "Da hasn't done anything to gain your ire so back off."
"He aban-" Henry began but he was cut off.
"Don't give me that!" Phobos snapped. "He gave you a chance to be your own person! Had we all grown up with him we might have become like him; obsessed with revenge!" He glared at the four hybrids that stayed with us. "You morons couldn't just keep to yourselves now could you?" He snarled at them. "There was a reason Da left us alone for all this time, it's so we wouldn't become like him! If any of you used your brains you would realize that!"
At the end of his rant his was panting and his voice was hoarse but he stil glared at the rest of them. The four hybrids seemed to be considering his words and the rest of us just sat back. This was between them.
"Don't sit there and act like the victim," He said quietly. "He gave each of us the chance to live our own lives without him unknowingly or knowngly influencing us. Frankly, it was better this way."
"Maybe for you." Zeus muttered without any malice.
"At least I didn't kill anyone," Phobos muttered back and Zeus glared at him.
"They-"
"Were in your way," Phobos finished with an eye roll. "Yes, I've heard that excuse before. Doesn't hold much weight I'm afraid." He turned to Henry. "What's ya name little man?"
"Henry Matthew Cullen." He said proudly. "Son of Emmett McCarty Cullen and Rosalie Lillian Hale."
The two aforementioned people beamed at him. I glanced at Makhai and saw that he had small smile on his face. I took in his features. For someone who was older than the Volturi his skin wasn't ashen like theirs.
"Well Henry Matthew Cullen," Phobos began with a small smile. "You know who I am. This moron standing next to me is Deimos," The brown haired male next to Phobos scowled at him. "The big guy over there is Atlas," He pointed to a man that had a crew cut. "Next to him is his mum Walfreya." The woman waved politely. "That's Ione, Caligo, Aeolia, Athena, and the red head is Aphrodite." He pointed to each of them and they waved, though Amy or Aphrodite did so hesitantly.
"We're your siblings," Phobo's said pointing to each hybrid. "And these ladies are their mothers." He pointed at Zeus, then Aeolia. He followed up with Hades and Caligo, Poseidon and Ione, then finished with Atlas and Walfreya.
I glanced at each of them, taking in their features.
Zeus looked alot like his mother. Same hair color, eye color and eye shape. The major difference was that Aeolia's whole eyeball was electric blue while Zeus only had his irises in that color.
It was pretty much the same with Hades and Poseidon except their mothers had another difference. Caligo's skin was very pale and she smelled like rotting flesh. Her eye's were black while Hades had grey colored eyes. Ione had a bluish tint to her body while Poseidon was tanned.
Atlas was a mixture between his father and mother the something tells me he got his size from his mothers side of the family.
I took all this in, waiting for someone to explain or ask how these woman were alive. Luckily my tactless sister asked the question.
"If you're their mother's," Kate began. "How are you still alive?"
"Well as you can tell we're not exactly human." Aeolia began before launching into her explanation.
I sat there, listening intently to the story she was telling. I could tell that those who didn't hear it were completely enthralled by it.
During the story, Walfreya had stood up and the woman from before waved her hand. Walfreya grew until she was at least 40 feet maybe taller. The other women had displayed some of their powers and even gave some of their memories to prove that they were what they said they were.
I recalled a conversation that I had with my mother a long time ago about the gods and their influence. It was not long after I had been turned. My mother said that she felt that there was more in the world than what we had seen. She said that there had to be a higher power influencing man and the things that they made. She didnt know for sure as she hadn't seen it with her own eyes but she couldn't shake the feeling.
While I didn't say that it was possible, I didn't say it was impossible either. I just didn't know what to think. I mean, most people think that my kind don't exist so how could I say that the gods didn't exist?
Now though, knowing all of this it feels...strange.
"There are a few things that have been bugging me." Embry began and all murmurings stopped. "Why did any of you have kids with him?" He asked before turning to Makhai. "And why did you have so many?"
All the women blushed while Makhai sighed a little.
"Should I go first?" He asked them and they nodded. He turned to us. "I come from a big family." He said. "It was always my hope to have a big family myself."
He paused and his eyes had this far away look to them.
"My mate and I - We were starting our own family," He murmured sadly. "She's was pregnant when - when she was taken from me."
Several of us flinched at what he said before his face adopted a very dark look.
"I'm not here to gain your sympathy," He clarified. "I am here to explain why I have done what I have done."
Several of us sat up straighter as he began his story.
"I am over 9000 years old," He began. "I am not the first of the vampiric race but I am one of the oldest around. At least for our branch of vampire. Please," He held up his hands when people looked like they wanted to ask questions. "I will explain that later, just let me get through this."
They nodded reluctantly.
"I am one of seven children." He went on. "The only surviving member of my family."
Here he paused and the scenery around us changed. The landscape was sanding and there were several rock formations. There was also a bunch of huts several people were leaving the area.
"This is a memory," Makhai explained to our perplexed looks. "This took place in a small village in Greece, a bunch of soldiers had rebelled against their commanding officers and tried to raid this village. This wasn't the first time they had done something like this."
The image shifted to show four people ushering woman and children away. They reminded me of the wolves. The men were muscular, tall and handsome. The woman were really attractive and they had impressive figures.
"Who are they?" Several people asked.
"A few of my siblings," Makhai murmured. "The men are Proioxis and Palioxis. The women are Dysomnia and Neikea. All of them were werewolves."
Most of us already knew that Makhai had werewolves for siblings and from the looks on the others faces, they did too.
We heard someone whispering before one of the men had exclaimed something in an older Greek dialect and the people moved faster.
"What did he say?" Jacob asked.
"To move fatser." Makhai replied and the scene shifted again. This time it was Makhai with two other people. "That's my sister Alala and my brother Kydoimios." He supplied.
The three of them glared down at a narrowed path from their positions on top of one of the rocks as the sun shone on them. Makhai muttered something to the other two.
"I told them that we needed to make this quick." He murmured before we could ask.
The other two nodded their heads as heavy foot falls were heard. Five men dressed in silver armor and maroon clothing walked into the path and they were followed by even more men. All of them had various weapons in their possession.
"Proioxis, we could use your expertise." Memory Makhai murmured lowly.
"I switched the languages so there wouldn't be too many interruptions," The woman from earlier murmured before we could as how he just spoke English. "Name's Esmerelda by the way for those that are wondering."
"On my way brother." One of the men, Proioxis, murmured back.
He came into view, stopping roughly forty paces away from the soldiers. The soldier in front frowned but didn't comment.
"I'm giving you a chance to leave," He told the men. "Just turn around and walk away."
The soldiers laughed and advanced.
"Don't say I didn't warn you," Proioxis muttered before he charged with a snarl.
His fist collided with the lead soldier's neck and his head snapped off, blood gushing in various directions.
"Don't worry, the children aren't watching this part." Esmerelda told us before we could protest. I glanced at the kids and they looked confused.
"How come we can't see anything?" They asked.
"Hush children," Esmerelda murmured to them. "I doubt your parents want you to see this next part."
The kids rolled their eyes but didn't say anything. They had seen some things in our memories and in movies (Curteously provided by Emmett though he maintains that it was an accident) but we weren't trying to actively let them watch such things. They were technically still children.
Proioxis pushed all the soldiers back to where they came from with ease even though they desperately tried to push him back.
Palioxis, Dysomnia and Neikea bounded their way across the rock wall to get behind the soldiers. I was a little confused as to why they did this until the image shifted to show an additional group of roughly 40 soldiers on a rock ledge.
"Jesus," Thomas muttered. "All that for one village?"
Other people murmured their displeasure at this news but didn't say much after.
The other siblings had made it to the ledge and knocked the soldiers off the ledge and into a gorge. Some of the soldiers that were being pushed by tried to sneak up on Kydoimios but he spun around and caught the spear that was thrust towards him.
Instead of attacking the soldier, Kydoimios just stared at him. The soldier frowned and so did the others behind them before the looked down, yelped and jumped off the ledge.
"My brother was very persuasive," Makhai said a little sadly when a few of us turned to him. "He could make you think and see whatever he wanted you too. It was mostly to cause confusion in battle, which is what his name roughly translates too."
Kydoimios smirked at his handy work before motioning for the scared soldiers to come forward.
"Come on," He encouraged with a big smile that seemed to shine brighter than his skin. "I don't have all day." When none of them moved he sighed. "Where was this fear and hesitation when you slaughtered all those people in the villages you marched over? When all those people begged for their lives?" His face turned cold when some of the soldiers started muttering prayers. "Regardless of who you pray to now, you will not live to see another day."
On of the soldiers apparently had heard enough, pulled his sword out his sheath, and charged with a cry of, "For Ares!"
Kydoimios stood his ground, spear in his hand with the tip facing down, watching the soldier charge at him with an impassive expression. As the soldier began to swing his sword, Kydoimos knocked the sword down and gutted the soldier with the spear.
As the soldier began to wheeze with a shocked expression on his face, Kydoimios stepped forward and grasped the man's shoulder before grabbing the spear and thrusting it forward, shoving the spear even deeper into the soldiers body.
"Ares does not give aid to those that murder innocent people," He hissed as the soldier began to gasp for air. "Especially when they murder women and children!"
He threw the soldier over the ledge and glared at the remaining soldiers. He stomped his foot lightly over the blade of the sword on the ledge and it jumped up. He caught it and charged at the soldiers who screamed and tried to find somewhere to run to.
The scene shifted again and this time we saw Alala and Makhai holding two young soldiers over the ledge. Makhai grabbed the young mans coat and eyed it in disgust.
"Just as I thought," He hissed. "This was washed in blood. Tell me boy, how old are you?"
"15." The boy gasped and Makhai sighed. I heard Thomas sigh too so I turned to him.
"15 year olds shouldn't be apart of something like that." He muttered to me and I nodded in agreement.
"15," Memory Makhai repeated. "Not even old enough to have felt a woman's warmth."
"Regardless of age brother," Alala murmured to him. "They murdered innocent people."
"Who are you to judge us daemon?" The soldier in her grasp demanded between gasp for air. Alala smiled a feral smile.
"We are not here to pass judgment upon you," She said. "We are here to make sure that you face those who will." She leaned in and whispered. "I may be a daemon but you are the monster here mortal."
And with that she threw him into the gorge. Makhai followed suit and tossed the soldier he was holding.
"You're up Alala." Makhai muttered and she nodded as we heard one of the soldiers scream as he fell into the gorge.
Alala took in a deep breath before an ungodly screeching sound came out of her mouth when she opened it. All of us covered of ears as the sound waves hit the rock wall on the other side of the gorge. The wall shattered and the debris fell into gorge, helping to create an impromptu grave.
"May lord Hades find suitable punishments for you." The siblings murmured together after Alala was finished. "And may lady Demeter forgive us for using rocks from the bosom of Greece itself to bury monsters like you."
The image disappeared and we blinked to adjust to the light.
"Like walking out of the cinema." Deimos murmured before turning to his father. "What was the point of that Da?"
"That was one of the first things that your aunts, uncles, and I did together when we were younger." Makhai replied. "We didn't make it a point to be at every conflict but we did try and help as much as we could. Fortunately, the humans were none the wiser as to what we were. Unfortunately, we drew a lot of attention, and not always from the right crowd."
"The Volturi." Several of us muttered and he nodded before we were swept into another memory.
Makhai and his family along with people who I assumed was their friends stood in a line, ready to fight as a group of eleven vampires walked towards them. I did a double take when I saw the group. It was the Volturi but they were younger looking. Aro, Marcus and Caius looked, well, normal. Their faces weren't ashen and their eyes didn't have that milky film to them.
They each had a woman standing next to them with four vampires behind them. I recognized Chelsea and the two wives but the others I didn't recognize.
"That's Athenadora next to Caius and Sulspicia next to Aro," Demetri murmured for those who didn't know who was who. "And that is Didyme next to Marcus."
"Whose Didyme?" Tabitha asked him.
"His mate." He replied. "And Aro's younger sister."
Some of us had known about her but some people looked confused.
"Well where was she during the trial?" Embry asked with a slight eye roll at the word trial but he was frowning for the most part. "I don't remember her being there."
"She's been dead for quite some time." Demetri explained and Embry winced slightly along with several other people. "No one knows who did it but she was murdered over 3000 years ago."
"Is that why Marcus is so…"
"Dead?" Demetri asked after he trailed off. Embry nodded slowly. "Yes, that is why." He turned to Makhai who shook his head.
"I don't know who did it," He said and I noticed that the memory had been paused. "I have an idea but I can't confirm it."
"Why?" Thomas asked.
"Because I need a specific memory," Makhai answered.
"Which I could get." Esmerelda offered but Makhai shook his head.
"We can discuss this later," He said. "Please continue with this memory."
Esmerelda frowned slightly but nodded her head and the memory continued.
"Fear not, we come as friends," Memory Aro said and a few of us snorted, myself included. Friends my ass, I thought.
"State your business here, friend." Alala told him. Caius glared at her and his eyes swept across their line. His lips curled at the sight of the werewolves. Kydoimios narrowed his eyes at him.
"Something wrong, friend?" He questioned, sounding a little sarcastic and Caius glanced at him.
"No, nothing is wrong." He replied. "What makes you think that there is something wrong?"
"It might be the fact that you were looking at my family and my friends as if they were beneath you."
"It's because they are," Caius snapped. "Beast like them should not be in the company of their betters."
Kydoimos hissed and stepped forward but Makhai threw his arm in front of him, stopping him from taking another step.
"He's not worth it brother." He murmured without taking his eyes off of Caius so he didn't notice that his brother was glaring at him. Aro cleared his throat loudly. I guess he was trying to take control of the situation.
"My name is Aro, this is my wife Sulspicia." He gestured to her and she made a slight face at the word wife. "That's my sister Didyme and her mate Marcus." He gestured to them and they smiled at the group. It wasn't condescending smiles but genuine ones. I think this is the first time I've ever seen Marcus smile. "And that is Caius and his wife Athenadora."
"Anyone else notice the word play there?" Jacob asked. "He may as well as called her his on again off again girlfriend."
Most of us nodded in agreement.
"They're probably not mates," Embry murmured.
"Then why would they be with them?" Amy asked, speaking for the first time since she got here. I glanced at her and saw that she was running one of her hands through my sons hair and he sighed contently. I fought the urge to growl at her for touching my baby by reminding myself that she was his imprint.
"Because of Chelsea," Thomas said. I recalled a conversation that he had with Eleazar about the wives. He had asked if it was possible if Athenadora and Sulspicia were mates or at least lovers. Eleazar said that he didn't know because despite the fact that he was a guard member, he never interacted with the wives that often. All those times that he did, they were quiet and didn't do anything. He's of the belief that Aro and Caius do not love them and that they are not mated because there was no way they would be content with locking their mates up for 3000 years. "She probably made them loyal to the cause," He went on. "And…I think she's been doing it with Marcus."
Our group gave him strange looks but he just shrugged.
"It makes sense if you think about it." He murmured. "His mate died over 3 millennia ago and he's still here. Sure he's a shell of what he used to be but he didn't follow her and he doesn't seem to be plotting revenge on those who killed his mate. Yeah they don't know who did it but it shouldn't stop them from looking."
We didn't say anything but we pondered what he said. After a few moments Esmerelda played the memory.
Makhai and his siblings introduced themselves first then they introduced the people with them. They were all friends except for a blonde woman named Selene. She was Makhai's mate.
"She's gorgeous," Athena murmured to her father ad he smiled sadly.
"She is." He agreed as Aro in the memory tried to keep things moving.
"We've come to make you an offer," He said. "We are going to be the leaders of our world and it would be in your best interest to join us."
There was dead silence at his declaration before Makhai and his group howled with laughter. After a few moments, Alala gasped out a reply.
"Sorry but we have heard that so many times before," She said. "So many people claimed that they would do just that but they never measured up. No offense intended but you don't look like much."
"Looks can be deceiving," Marcus pointed out. He voice wasn't flat and broken here, it was full of life and energy.
"That is true," Makhai conceded. "But we've been in enough fights to know who would make it out," He glanced at Aro and Marcus. "And who wouldn't." He glanced at everyone else. Caius scoffed and glared at him.
"You should be grateful that we would extend an offer to lowly worms such as yourselves." He spat and one of the other people with Makhai's group scoffed.
"They should be grateful for a bunch of upstarts spouting nonsense at them?" She questioned and Caius snarled before charging at her. She charged back and punched him in the face, causing him to fly back to his orginal position and her forearm to snap in two. She shook her arm and it snapped back into place. The four vampires the Volturi brought with them charged at the woman, whose name was Dora, but they never reached her because of Alala who used her gift and they all fell to the ground.
The rest of the Volturi covered their ears but it didn't seem to be working because they fell to the ground as well. After what felt like forever, she stopped and spoke in a cold and curt voice.
"Leave now and we will let you live." She said, When they didn't move she barked, "Now!"
They all scrambled to their feet, some offered hurried apologies, mainly Aro, Didyme, Marcus and the wives. The others just glared but they made no move to attack again.
"You will pay for this day." Caius hissed. "Mark my words, you will pay."
He spun around and flashed away. Athenadora followed reluctantly. Aro smiled apologetically. The funny thing was, it seemed really geniune.
"I'm sorry that we couldn't reach an agreement for a potential alliance," He murmured. "I feel we could have learned a lot from one another."
"Leave peacefully Aro," Kydoimios told him. "My sister was serious when she told you to leave."
Aro bowed respectfully before turning to leave. The others followed his example and the memory disappeared.
No one said anything as we processed what we saw. That last memory took place right before they started killing everyone who opposed them. The Egyptians and the Romanians were the strongest covens at the time and they lost.
"As nice as it was for you to share that with us," Carlisle began, speaking up for the first time in a while. "It still doesn't explain why you chose us."
"There's not a day that goes by where I don't think that we made a mistake," Makhai said. "By letting them go instead of killing them, they destroyed some of the oldest covens in existence. A lot of history lost, burned, ruined, all because of them!" He snarled and slammed is fist onto the table. This was probably the most emotion he showed since he got here. "They took so much from me. My brothers, my sisters... my mate." He chocked back a sob before he went on. "I can't join them knowing that the Volturi still exist. As for why I chose you," He glanced at everyone of us. "Isn't it obvious? Aro's not going to leave you alone and I am offering you a chance to make sure that he can harm anyone ever again."
"You could have just asked." Tristan spoke up. "You didn't need to beat around the bush or use that damn wolf pack against us."
Amy looked a little scared for Tristan but Makhai just smiled at my son.
"That is true I suppose." He said. "I won't try and justify because as I've been told before, my plan has many holes in it."
"Because it does." Esmerelda shook her head in exasperation. "There's more holes in it than there is logic."
"Esmerelda."
"No no," She waved him off. "There's no need to explain, but could I at least get rid of Jane and Alec?"
I blinked for a moment before I realized that I didn't see those little monsters here when they came back.
"They need to go back with those two." Makhai pointed to Demetri and Felix. "If they don't go back I have a funny feeling that Aro would take it out on them." He pointed to the rest of our group.
"You don't know that for sure." She said.
"True." He nodded. "But you never know with him."
Esmerelda huffed and crossed her arms, "Fine." She muttered. Makhai turned back to Demetri and Felix.
"When do you need to go back?" He asked them.
"Soon." They murmured together. "Though I won't be staying long." Demetri added.
"Neither will I." Felix said.
"Indeed?" Makhai raised an eyebrow and they nodded.
"I'm retiring from the guard," Demetri said as he grabbed Tabitha's hand. "So I can be with my little La Lupa."
Felix rolled his eyes but smiled at his friend and his mate who blushed.
"And you Felix?" Makhai asked.
"It's time for me to leave," He said. "I've been there for long enough. It's time to move on."
"Are you going alone?" Esmrelda asked.
"We volunteered to go with them." Embry, Thomas, and Brady said at the same time. Irina, Elektra, and myself grumbled under our breath. We hated the idea of them going, especially without Bella, but they wouldn't let Tabitha go a without them. Jacob wanted to go with them but Thomas pointe out that he was needed here more. "We'll be fine." They muttered to us and we all sighed.
"Mind if I tag along?" Esmerelda said and we all turned to her with raised eyebrows. "I can help block Chelsea out, and I can get you there faster than any plane could."
Our group turned to Edwad and Jasper. They nodded to us and I felt Thomas tense up. I turned to him and his eyes had glazed over.
"She can come with us," He said. "I don't see any problems with it."
"We need to plan then." Demetri said and we nodded.
