And I have managed to update yet again o3o
"Alright, then," muttered Ganju. A wide smirk stretched across his face as he punched his fists together.
"Wait a bit, Ganju," I said quietly.
"Huh? We don't have time to wait a bit! This guy's gonna attack us if we do!"
"He ain't the type to do so, bandana-boy, you don't have to worry about that. I just want to test something out, turn your right to me," I whispered. He frowned but complied anyway.
You know what I got in mind, Aoryuu? This might be impossible to do, but…
"How many times have I told you? Don't. Underestimate. Me."
Alright, then.
I put my hand just ten centimetres away from Ganju's right arm and whispered, "Million Escudo."
I felt a bolt of energy run through my arm and a spot on Ganju's arm glowed green. It worked?! Heh, I tip my hat off to you Aizen (except, I don't really).
"What did you do?"
"Don't ask, just a precaution."
Ganju nodded and turned to face Captain Kuchiki again who was waiting patiently. He made a beckoning sign with his right hand, "Come at us, bocchan!"
As expected, Ganju charged forth at Captain Kuchiki with his right arm outstretched.
"Eat this! Chitami!" roared out Ganju.
"My zanpakutou isn't for killing scum like you," said Captain Kuchiki. I noticed the almost invisible zanpakutou flashing out towards Ganju. The instant his sword came into contact with the barrier I put up, a repulsive force pushed Captain Kuchiki's sword back.
It worked!
"What the…!" Ganju stared wide-eyed at his arm, seeing a hexagonal barrier hovering above it. I moved over to him quickly, thinking up of my next move.
Kuchiki sent a glare at me.
"What did you do, ryoka?" he questioned. He immediately spotted me as a ryoka, huh? Gotta hand it to this guy. Then again, he would've seen my clone sending a message to every squads. Not a surprise.
"I casted a barrier, that's all."
"Heh, I told you not to underestimate me," said Aoryuu.
I never really did, Aoryuu. Let's just hope I can do something about Senbonzakura. The mention of Senbonzakura spelled out death for both Ganju and I. Using Million Escudo again would just be a foolish move, Senbonzakura doesn't just attack one place only.
Then, I would have to make a barrier that enclosed both of us.
"Hmph, you scumbags have no right to even be here. Leave, ryoka, I've said it once and I'll say it again…" started Kuchiki before he was interrupted.
"Blah fucking blah, I don't know what it is with you nobles but a coward that would be scared of threats wouldn't be a member of the Shiba family!" yelled Ganju.
Kuchiki's expression changed slightly and the air became heavier with his reiatsu. He pulled out his sword again.
"Oh? So you're from the Shiba Family…?" he said. His voice was filled with a simmering rancour, yet quiet and calm. "Then, my apologies. It appears I didn't hit hard enough. I'll make sure that both of you won't escape this alive."
Kuchiki raised his blade in front of him.
"What…are you trying to do from that distance?" questioned Ganju.
"Ganju, step a little closer," I instructed quietly. "If you don't, we're definitely gonna face a possible death. What he's doing is releasing a deadly weapon…we won't be able to see the attack at first glance but it will definitely shred us to bits."
Ganju just nodded and stepped closer. I took a deep breath as Kuchiki said, "Chire…"
"Senbonzakura!"
"Tozansho!"
Kuchiki's blade disappeared and I could faintly hear Rukia screaming us to run. A inverse, triangular barrier quickly formed around Ganju and I. Pink petals began to shoot into the barrier's surface immediately and rebounded. I breathed a sigh of relief.
"Freaking made it…" I muttered.
"Another barrier? How arrogant of you," said Kuchiki. The petals came striking again and this time, my luck didn't seem to hold very well. Several of the petals teared tiny holes in my barrier.
"Oh shit...!"
Without wasting time, he motioned the petals and several made it through. I covered my face, feeling cuts line my arms and torso. "Ghk!"
Where's that Captain when you need him?!
I daringly peeked from my arm to see that Senbonzakura was nowhere to be seen.
"Hoho…now that was a close call. I think you should stop it here, right, Captain Kuchiki?" said a white-haired individual. I took a glance at Ganju who wasn't too injured. Well, I've changed something for sure.
"Captain Ukitake!" called out Rukia in surprise. Ukitake beamed widely with a greeting salute.
"Oh, it's Kuchiki! You look like you lost weight, you doing alright?" he responded happily.
Kuchiki's simmering anger felt like it was about to boil over.
"What do you think you're doing, Ukitake?" he questioned.
"More like, I should be asking you that! Releasing your zanpakutou is first-class offense, especially in Konnatokoru! Even if it means fighting ryoka, what were you thinking?" scolded Ukitake.
"You didn't hear, Ukitake? It's war time and so the ban on releasing zanpakutou was uplifted," he explained.
"It's gotten this serious because of just a few ryoka? Could this be related to the murder of Aizen?"
It seems none of them have taken my hint. Was it really all for naught?
Before I could say anything, strong reiatsu began to pour heavily downwards. Well, nothing I can do about it.
"W-what's with this strong reiatsu? It feels exactly like a captain-level reiatsu!" exclaimed Ukitake.
"Ganju, could I ask you a favour?" I asked.
"W-what is it?" Ganju seemed to be trembling slightly.
"I'm about to make a move that might be a bit cowardly, is that alright?"
He frowned. I bit my lips.
"You're going to be taken in by the shinigami, but they won't kill you off. You heard what Captain Ukitake just mentioned, right? They'll question you and the others about Aizen. You'll be rescued soon enough, too. I have to be going somewhere but I promise I won't run off. I'm…I'm sorry."
"You don't have to say sorry. Listen, I don't really have a reason to distrust you anymore, Ryoko. You've been trying your best to protect us from the start. Heh, I sorta owe you my life for putting up those barriers, as well. What ever you have to do, do it. Something like this doesn't scare me a single bit."
"Right, thanks, Ganju. Tell the others a bit about me so they won't be shocked."
He nodded in response.
I turned around to see Ichigo making his epic entrance.
Let's just see how I do this.
