And I'm back! You know, I am amazed that I managed to write this and post this a lot faster on the App than with my computer. Don't get me wrong, I like my laptop, but I'm still amazed that I managed to type this out on my phone. But enough about that, how about you enjoy the chapter?

To Be A Father

"Honestly, if you're this easy to knock around, then you should just quit." The girl said, getting Jaune to look at her. "Tell you what, why don't you just do both of us a favor and forfeit? That way we don't have to waste each other's time." At that, Jaune couldn't help but grit his teeth when he heard that. "I mean c'mon, Just two hits and you're already on the floor."

"Are you done?" Jaune cut in, a grunt escaping as he got to his feet. "This is a tournament, not a place to gloat. Getting a few hits in doesn't mean you've won." Spreading his feet out a bit, Jaune raised his shield and motioned for the girl to attack again. The girl took a second to blink before she narrowed her eyes and rushed towards Jaune, her arm already reeled back as she jumped towards Jaune. Unfortunately for her, Jaune took a half-step to the left and twisted his body slightly to the right. The result was the girl flying past the blonde and into the waters of the cave.

"Ring Out!" The referee shouted as soon as he heard a large splash. Jaune nodded to himself and walked back to the center of the ring while the girl pulled herself back onto the ring.

"Like I said, getting a few hits in doesn't mean you've won." Jaune said, smiling as the girl growled at him in response. Without another word, the two got back into their fighting postures as the ref's voice rang out.

"Round Two! Begin!" As soon as the ref announced the beginning of the second match, the girl immediately jumped into the air. Not trusting her actions, Jaune immediately moved back and avoided being kicked in the head. Instead, the girl found herself falling on her back as Jaune continued to gain some distance.

'Okay, think!' Jaune thought as he moved further away. 'This girl is obviously a threat in close combat.' The blonde said before he held up his shield and blocked the girl's heel, only to have her jump up again and use her other foot to kick him away. 'She may be small but she's also fast.' The blonde added as he watched the girl zig-zag her way towards him, causing Jaune to side-step when she did a cartwheel that ended with her swinging her tonfa downwards. 'I have an advantage in reach, but that's useless against someone who's faster than me.'

"You can't block everything!" The girl shouted as she tried to land two hits with her tonfa. Jaune held up his shield just in time to block the attacks but wasn't fast enough when the girl side-stepped to his left and spun around, letting her tonfa land on his sides and sending him to the ground.

'She's not fast like Ruby, but I still can't get an opening.' Jaune thought as he got to his feet and held his sides.

"Remember: You can't block every attack, but you can create an opening when you do."

Thinking back to one of his lessons with Pyrrha, Jaune raised his shield up again as the girl rushed forward. Steadying his breathing, Jaune waited until the girl was about to strike before he shoved his shield forward (1). With a shower of sparks, the girl was thrown back a bit, only to be sent further by when Jaune used the small opening to thrust his sword forward and land a hit on the girl's stomach. Not wasting his time, Jaune immediately rushed the girl, dropping to the ground and sliding towards her.

"Ring Out!" The referee called out when another splash echoed through the cave. Jaune simply smiled when the girl burst through the water's surface, her face showing nothing but rage. Without a word, the girl pulled herself out of the water and made her way back to the center with Jaune following close behind. "Round Three! Begin!" Hearing those words again, Jaune immediately moved away to create some distance while the girl continued to stand still.

Jaune wasn't too surprised at her actions, her two defeats likely making her take the fight a bit more seriously. Seeing her still standing still, Jaune fought the urge to rush towards her, another lesson from Pyrrha playing in the back of his mind.

"If your opponent isn't making a move against you, it's likely that they're preparing for something else."

'Never waste what advantage you have.' The blonde recited, his breathing slowing down a bit as he continued to watch the girl. 'Every strike counts.' As Jaune slowly began to circle the ring, he eyes narrowed when the girl began to glow a bit. 'Always keep your eyes on your opponent.' Jaune said, ignoring the sudden wind that was blowing through the cave. 'Be prepared to react at a moment's noti-' Before Jaune could recite the last bit of advice, a pain erupted in his stomach.

"Gotcha…" Looking down, Jaune widened his eyes when he saw the girl was now in front of him, her left fist and tonfa currently buried in his stomach. As soon as the realization hit him, the blonde was sent flying back and into the water.

"Ring Out!" The referee called out, rushing to the water just in time to see Jaune break through the surface. "You alright?" Jaune gave the man a nod as he made his way towards the ring and pulled himself out. Taking a second to catch his breath, Jaune looked at the girl to see her with the same smirk she had at the beginning of the match.

"Ready to give up?" The girl asked, getting Jaune to narrow his eyes. "I'll let you in on a little secret, once I start using my semblance, there's nothing that can stop me."

"Wanna bet?" Jaune asked, smiling when the girl blinked before she let out a growl. "You still have to win another two rounds before you're considered the winner." The blonde added before he saw the boy from before walk up to him with a small vial. The blonde didn't hesitate and emptied the vial while the boy walked over to the girl and handed her a pill.

"What's this?" The girl said, narrowing her eyes at the vial Jaune handed back to the boy.

"Specialized medicine. It'll help replenish your Aura." The boy said before he motioned to the side, where a screen was currently displaying the two combatant's Aura levels. However, the girl's attention was solely focused on Jaune's Aura meter, which was steadily refilling itself. "Here." The boy said, holding out a canteen of water. "Chew the pill then wash it down." Jaune held back his smirk when the girl followed the boy's instructions and popped the pill into her mouth, chewing it slowly.

Without a word, the girl's eyes widen before she snatched the canteen from the boy and began to down the water as if her life depended on it. Seeing that, Jaune couldn't help but let out a chuckle, which was accompanied by the referee and young boy's own chuckles. When she was done, the girl glared at the three residents before she looked at the screen and saw her own Aura meter refilling. Giving the girl a nod, Jaune made his way back to the center of the before he settled himself into a ready position.

"Both combatant's ready?" The ref's voice called out, getting the girl to walk up and enter a fighting stance. "Round Four! Begin!" Jaune didn't waste any time, again, immediately began to back away from the girl as the wind began to pick up again. Relying on his screaming instincts, Jaune immediately jump to the side, just in time to avoid being knocked out of the ring again. Using the opportunity, Jaune thrust out his sword, only to pierce an afterimage of the girl. Widening his eyes, Jaune felt the air behind him shift, causing him to dive forward, avoiding a kick that would've sent him out of the ring.

'She's definitely faster!' The blonde thought as he got to his feet and immediately twisted his body to the side, the girl appearing next to him with her right leg posed in a post-kicking position. 'But it's not like Ruby.' Jaune said, lifting his shield above his head in time to block the girl's tonfa as it came crashing down. 'Plus, there's the wind, it's like she's using it to move around.' The blonde finished, letting out a grunt when he felt the girl's foot land on his ribs.

"I'm surprised you managed to keep up; and only after seeing me use my semblance once. Not many people can do that." The girl said, her voice letting Jaune know that she had gained some respect for him.

"Yeah, well…I know someone else that moves just as fast as you." Jaune said as he picked himself off the floor. "Of course, it's not the same, but getting hit at speeds like that make more familiar with them."

"Huh, sounds like someone I should meet." The girl said, getting Jaune to shrug. "But…" The girl said before she appeared in front of Jaune. Before the blonde could react, another foot planted itself on his stomach and sent him out of the ring. "…I still have a match to win."

"Ring Out!" The referee's voice called out before Jaune burst through the water's surface again. Swimming back to the ring, Jaune let out a sigh as he pulled himself out of the water.

"Guess this means one more match and I'll be declared the winner." Jaune let out another sigh, his eyes growing a bit heavy as he got back to his feet. Seeing the boy making his way over, Jaune held out his hand, nodding when he felt a pill being placed in his palm. Without a word, Jaune popped the pill into his mouth and chewed it quickly, waving his hand to deny the canteen in the boy's hand. Taking in a deep breath, Jaune walked back to the center of the ring as the referee's voice called out.

"Are both combatant's ready?" At that, Jaune reached into pocket and pulled out a vial of wind Dust and poured it into his shield before sheathing Crocea Mors. This got the others to look at Jaune in confusion before they saw Jaune nod his head. The girl did the same, raising her arms as the referee shrugged. "Final Round! Begin!" As Jaune heard those words, he closed his eyes and breathed out through his nose, causing the girl to narrow her eyes. Not wasting the opportunity, the girl charged towards Jaune and landed a hit on his face, sending back.

However, to the girl's surprise, despite having his eyes closed, Jaune managed to use the sudden momentum to roll along the ground and land on one knee.

Jaune narrowed his eyes as he rolled along the ground and landed on his knee, the attacker looking at him with a smirk on their face. Despite being nothing but a silhouette, as per usual, Jaune could still tell the expression of the darkened figure in front of him.

"You know," The figure said, the arrogance in their voice, a mixture between a man and woman, getting Jaune to growl. "How about we do this again? You surrender now, and I won't have to humiliate you any further."

"The only way I'm going to stop is when you beat me." Jaune responded, getting the figure to let out a frustrated sigh.

"You know, I was really hoping not to use my semblance so much." The figure said, as they began to shimmer. Jaune didn't move from his position, smirking when he saw the figure disappear.

'It's too bad I already figured it out.' The blonde thought as he gripped his sword. Looking around, Jaune's smirk grew as the sound of wind began to pick up. Without warning, Jaune immediately drew his sword, unleashing the wind Dust he had poured inside. With the simple swing, the wind around Jaune distorted a bit, creating a vortex around the blonde and disrupting the flow of air around him. The sound of the figure grunting made his body move, sheathing his sword, Jaune charged towards the figure as they shimmered back into view.

As he closed in, Jaune twisted his body slightly, slamming his shoulder into his opponent before quickly drawing his sword and stabbing them in the stomach. Seeing them stumble back, along with the familiar glow of their Aura activating, Jaune stepped to the side and swung his sheathe upward. This caused the figure to be lifted into the before Jaune spun around and drew his sword, slashing at their back as they fell back to the ground (2).

The blonde wasn't finished however, and quickly sheathed his sword again while he started to spin around. Once he had finished one whole rotation, Jaune crouched low as he drew his sword, swinging upwards as his body lowered itself to the ground. The result of this was the figure being sent rolling along the ground before they managed to pick themselves up.

"Bastard! You'll pay for that!" The figure shouted as they began to charge towards Jaune. The blonde's response was to simply smirk as he sheathed his sword for the final time. Just as the figure was about to reach him, Jaune stabbed his sheathed blade into the ground and used it as a stand to push himself off the ground. In one swift motion, the blonde brought his leg down, kicking the figure in the back of their head and causing them to crash into ground, their momentum causing them to slide past Jaune after their defeat (3).

"Knock Out!" Hearing that, Jaune opened his and looked around to see the girl currently lying face down on the ground behind him. "Winner: Jaune Arc!" Hearing the referee's announcement, Jaune couldn't help but tilt his head as he looked around some more. As he felt his hand being raised to declare his victory, Jaune had one though run through his mind.

'What's happening to me?'

And there you have it folks, a fight scene that was typed out on the Fanfiction App! Now I know it's a bit anticlimactic, and I used my 'Deus Ex Memories' card again, but I was having a real hard time writing the fight. There's also the fact that I did base it one a fight I recorded from Soul Calibur III, involving Setsuka and Talim. Anyway, I'd like your opinion on this chapter, considering that it was written on a phone instead of a computer.

Anyway, the next chapter with be more 'character building' involving the Arc family. And as a side-note, I don't think I can write six more fight scenes for Jaune; So, I want to know if it'll be alright if I skip a few fights and just give a synopsis of them.

Also, the doctor has confirmed my seizure incident is normal and that most people will experience one at least once in their lifetime. For now I'll be alright…now I just need to convince my family to give me back all my electronics.

On the side, I'd like to that the 500+ people who are following, the 400+ people who've favored this story and the 180+ people who commented. Numbers like that make me happy that someone is actually reading what I have.
