"Everyone, fall back! Head for Warfang!" cheetahs yell as they try holding off the wolfs. After most of the wolfs that had already made it to the mainland were spread about, taking most of the land. "Snarl, our enemies have retreated once again. Shall we kill off the injured?" a wolf said.
"Yes. Kill them all." snarl ordered followed with a loud howl. The injured cheetah warriors that were trying to crawl away were then stopped. "Y-You all, wont get away with this..." one of the cheetahs said in defiance.
"We already have." a wolf said before driving its blade through the chest of the warrior. The day slowly came down and the night came up, the wolfs were now stronger in numbers. Spyro and the Guardians knew something big was going on but was still unaware of the attacks on the villages. In the temple of Warfang, Spyro the guardians and the ex-guardians were discussing plan if a attack should occur and their own plan of attack. "Grr, that is not enough! We need to know more on them, the more we know, the better a chance we have for a defense!" yelled tremor.
"Well we dont really have a lot of options and we cant get anymore info! Even if we could go back, they would be expecting us, so calm down Tremor!" flame yelled back. But before the rest could join in, Spyro stood up and roared. "Enough! Arguing about this isn't helping things here!. Tremor, as much as we need something more to know about them, we are fine for the time being. For now I want you to keep your temper in check." spyro finished.
"Temper!?" tremor growled, but stopped when candice held a paw in front of him.
"Tremor, just stop..." candice said trying to calm him down.
"That includes you too Flame. Use your head and think about this." terrador added. Flame nodded and sighed deeply. All was silent before Dash finally spoke up, but with a more serious tone. "Everyone, aside from what we know...There may be someone that can give us what we need in order to counter the attack that will soon happen." dash said.
"And who might that be Dash?" cyril asked.
"Her name is Bella. She is a wolf that is from the same wolf pack that you three encountered." Everyone looked at each other in puzzlement. "Ive actually been watching her, she is friends with Cynder. They met at the market but something seems off."
"Well of course something seems off, she's one of them. And if I may with everyone else's permission,I would like to bring her her for questioning." tremor spoke up.
"Well of course Tremor but, you dont know if she came here for refuge before all this happened." terrador said.
"Exactly, you dont know." tremor replied. There was another long silence in the room and Tremor looked at Spyro for an answer, in which he nodded. "But Tremor, dont do anything irrational...Understand?"
"I do." tremor finished and immediately got up then left. After Tremor left the room, Volteer spoke. "What seems to be the trouble with him?" Spyro and Candice looked at each other with the same worried look then he looked back to everyone else. "Lets just say it was something in the past..."
"Oh I see. But lets not try to chit chat any longer. We need to make plans. I suggest making plans for a escape route if we feel overrun." cyril said.
"Right..."candice said still looking at the ground.
"Well, there is always the secret entrance to Avalar. I highly doubt the wolfs know of it." dash replied.
"Yes, that could work for now. But we really need to work on defense. That is of most importance." spyro said. "We all know that it was already figured out and prepped with Tremors help, but we may need some allies just in case." flame added.
"Hmm...We could ask the Eastern Dragon city for help. But even a flight there would take too long. We dont know when the wolfs will attack. What do you think Terrador?" spyro asked.
"Well, we seem to be out o options. So that is what we will have to go for right now. And Also we need to get the Cheetah villages here for safety. Their villages are exp-" terrador said but was cut off by a mole that ran in. "Master guardians. You need to come outside quick!"
"Whats wrong?" candice asked.
"Cheetah villages. Their walking in now." the mole said then ran off. The guardians got up and followed after him. As they ran to the doors, Ember was in the hallway. "Flame, whats going on?" she asked.
"Just come with us." flame replied. The group ran outside onto the main stairway, they were shocked qt the horror that was walking in the gates of Warfang. They saw large groups of Cheetahs walking in, most of them were wounded and bleeding badly. Even the most critical were carrying the dead of fallen families and warriors with them. There was even a Cheetah mother that had fallen on the ground trying to carry her dead child. "By the ancestors...What happened?..." dash said
"We spoke to late..." spyro said gritting his teeth.
"Ember, I need you to go get more healers and help the survivors in anyway you can. Hurry!" flame ordered and ember was off.
"Theres...so many...How did this happen?" candice asked as she sat down covering her mouth.
"I dont know...But we need to stop it, and stop it now." terrador growled.
"Come on, lets get down there." flame said as he ran down to help. Down by the crowed Cynder and Tremor were helping tend to the wounded along with Sj, and Dizzy. AS they helped, Sj tried calming Dizzy down. SHe was almost on the verge of tears as well as hyperventilating. SHe has never experienced this before. "Dizzy, you should probally sit this one out. If it is too much, just go inside." sj said.
"But I want to help." she replied.
"No...I dont you to be like this. Please.." he replied. Dizzy nodded and was about to leave when the two heard their mom call them. "Sj, Dizzy!" The two ran over to them as fast as they could and they saw their dad with chief prowless. They skidded to a stop after seeing their dad's look. Spyro was really angry. "D-dad, whats wrong?" sj asked.
"Listen kids...its your uncle Hunter." chief prowless said. Dizzy and Sj eyes shot open with disbelief. Spyro uncovered a body who happens to be Hunter. Dizzy started immediately crying at the moment of seeing his lifeless body. Sj tried to hold back his tears but both were hugged by their parents. "Dont worry...its going to be ok..." cynder said trying to comfort her children. The cheetah villages that were under attack by the wolfs were now walking into Warfang in huge groups. Almost all of them were wounded or dead. Even Hunter has died in the attack. The wolfs were a lot more closer then the guardians thought they were and most of the people of Warfang were in a panic and now thinking when they were they going to be attacked...
