Episode 21: The Youngest Sisters
Phoebe felt a guilt so strong that she honestly doubted if she would ever be able to forgive herself. Daryl was gone and it was all her fault. Not only was Daryl gone but Phoebe had also promised Sheila that nothing would happen to Daryl and she broke that promise. The Halliwell's were all seated towards the back of the church. They had wanted to be in the front but Sheila was so mad at them that she forced them to stay in the back. Paige was seated next to Phoebe and was trying to comfort her but she felt pretty horrible herself. If only she had been able to return to her sister faster she may have been able to help.
"Daryl was the love of my life. I met him many years ago. All I remember is just thinking how incredible he was. Was he even real? He was so selfless. He risked his life every day to work in order to support me and our way of living. I loved him more than anything. I don't know how I'm going to live without him."
Sheila then broke down. Some members of the family put their arms around her and comforted her.
Later on in the service, Phoebe had tried to speak about her memories with Daryl but she was cruelly rejected by Sheila and members of her family and was forced to sit down. Seven candles were lit in honor of the seven years that Daryl and Sheila had been married to each other. Phoebe continued crying and Paige did everything she could to comfort her older sister but she felt just as bad as Phoebe did.
As everyone was shaking hands, Phoebe reached out to Sheila.
"Sheila, please. Please let me talk to you." Phoebe said.
"I don't want to hear it." Sheila snapped.
"Please, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry." Phoebe said.
Sheila looked around to notice if anyone had seen Phoebe's outburst.
"I'm going to tell you this once and once only. Stay away from me and my family. You've done enough damage."
Phoebe cringed at Sheila's harsh words. She pulled away from her and abruptly ran out of the church, in tears. Paige and Piper both turned around at the same time.
"I'd better talk to her." Piper said.
"No, leave it to me." Paige replied.
Paige walked out of the church and found Phoebe outside by her car.
"Phoebe."
Phoebe turned around. She looked completely broken. Her mascara was running and her eyes were swollen from all of the crying. She leaned against her car because she could barely stand up on her own.
"Don't try to tell me that Daryl's death wasn't my fault because it was. I failed, Paige. I failed."
Phoebe fell down to the ground and covered her eyes. Paige leaned down next to her.
"Phoebe, you didn't fail. What happened to Daryl was horrible but it wasn't because of you. Daryl made the choice to save your life. He would want you to keep going and keep fighting."
Phoebe removed her hands from her eyes.
"Keep fighting? How? The Abraxi are too damn powerful. They're going to kill all of us."
Paige shook her head.
"No, they won't. We're not going to let them. Don't let Daryl's sacrifice go to waste. We all owe that to Daryl and to Andy."
Phoebe looked up at her younger sister and nodded.
"You're right."
"Well, yeah, I'm always right." Paige joked.
Phoebe chuckled. Paige helped her up.
"We have to stop the Abraxi's attack on city hall." Phoebe said.
"Yes, we do."
Just then, Sheila walked out to her car. She store at Phoebe angrily. Phoebe walked over to her but accidentally bumped into her. Phoebe was pulled into a premonition.
It was noon, exactly noon. The warlocks from The Abraxi Academy arrived. Sheila stood up and told them they couldn't enter government property but the warlocks simply laughed in response. One of them easily killed her and she lay on the floor, dead.
Phoebe returned to.
"What did you see?" Paige asked.
"Sheila's in trouble. And I know when the attack is."
"When?"
"Noon. We've got exactly one hour."

Phoebe, Piper and Paige got back home as fast as they could. They called out for Leo immediately. He orbed in right after their call.
"What's going on?" Leo asked.
"The attack on city hall is happening at noon which gives us very little time to plan any kind of resistance." Piper replied.
"I'll tell the Elders. They can try to alert some of the magical community to help you."
"What about Prue? How is she?" Piper asked.
"Prue's fine. She's training up there right now."
"Do we know what was wrong?" Phoebe asked.
"Nothing was wrong, she gave birth."
"She what?" Piper asked.
The girls all begged Leo to give them more information but he refused.
"I can't tell you. Right now, you have to focus on vanquishing The Abraxi."
"But it's our nephew! We deserve the right to know!" Phoebe called out.
"I'm sorry, Phoebe. You'll know in time, I promise."
"Alright, just go up there and get help!" Piper demanded.
Leo nodded and orbed up there. Piper put her hands on her hips and paced the room.
"Does this mean that we have to stop an entire army from attacking the city all by ourselves without the power of four?" Piper asked.
"No."
The girls turned around and saw Prue, standing before them.
"Prue? How did you do that?" Phoebe asked.
Phoebe was referring to Prue's entrance. She had appeared as if by orb, but that couldn't be possible as she was not a whitelighter.
"Pretty cool, huh? It's a new power. My powers have been growing ever since I started training." Prue replied.
Phoebe and Paige both hugged her. Piper looked at her for a moment.
"Don't ever scare me like that again." Piper replied.
"Never." Prue commented.
The two sisters hugged.
"Okay, now we have that out of the way, we really need to get to city hall. The attack will happen any minute and Sheila's life is in danger." Phoebe said.
"Okay, clearly I missed a lot. Can someone please fill me in?" Prue asked.
Paige filled her into everything that had happened.
"We need to get over there and fast. We can't wait for Leo and the reinforcements." Phoebe said.
Paige reached out her hands for Phoebe and Piper to grab. Prue declined and used her own power to vanish and reappear at City Hall. The girls didn't appear inside of the building but they appeared outside instead in order to avoid exposure. The four girls looked around the corner to see if it looked like there had been an attack. It currently looked like nothing had happened.
"What time is it?" Paige asked.
"Just a little before noon." Phoebe replied.
"What do we do? How do we figure this out?" Piper asked.
"One of us needs to get them all out. I know. I've got a plan." Prue replied.
"What do we do?" Phoebe asked.
"Paige, you can glimmer, glimmer into a security guard or fire marshal, anyone with authority. Tell them that there's been some sort of security breach or unsafe chemical that's in the building. Force them all to evacuate. Once they do, we'll be waiting for those warlocks to come and we'll trap them."
Paige nodded and used her glimmering powers to appear as a fire marshal. She turned the corner and walked up the stairs into city hall. She went through security and then turned the corner to walk into the building. She instantly noticed Sheila, who was working at the front desk. Paige approached the front counter.
"Excuse me, I need you to evacuate all of your staff." Paige said.
"I'm sorry, why?"
"We received a call that there was a fire in one of the upper floors that's starting to spread. We need everyone out of the building now!" Paige yelled.
She really wanted it to sound convincing. The receptionist was skeptical for a moment but ultimately she believed what Paige had said. She called out for everyone to evacuate the building and everyone started clearing out. Sheila was one of the few people who refused to leave. Paige walked over to her.
"Excuse me, did you not hear? Everyone needs to leave."
"What's a little fire going to do?" Sheila asked.
"Fires are not to be messed around with." Paige commented.
Sheila simply shrugged. Paige sighed and undid the glimmering spell. Sheila turned around and screamed and dropped some of her papers.
"I should've known it was one of you sisters interfering." She said.
"Your life is in danger. Phoebe saw you dying in a premonition. You need to get out."
Sheila snorted and crossed her arms.
"I don't trust her for a minute. It's her fault that Daryl died."
"It's not her fault. She did everything she could but Daryl decided to save her life."
"How dare you!" Sheila screamed.
Suddenly, several warlocks started appearing in the building. One of them sent an energy ball right at Sheila. Paige grabbed her arm and orbed her out of the building.
She appeared right outside with Prue, Piper and Phoebe.
"Sheila, are you okay?" Phoebe asked.
"No! Your evil things are attacking the building. Not everyone evacuated."
"We'll go in there and save them. I'm going to send you to a safe place, ok?"
"What? No!"
"Just close your eyes."
Sheila closed her eyes and Prue used her new powers to send Sheila safely away. Phoebe and Piper both looked at her.
"Is there anything this new power of yours can't do?" Piper asked.
"No." Prue commented.
Prue sent herself and her two sisters into city hall to join Paige in the fight. Phoebe helped escort some of the remaining civilians out of the building as her sisters fought more of the warlocks. Piper was incredibly on point, taking on warlock after warlock. Even though Piper hadn't had her powers for a while, she remained fully in control of them. Paige conjured all sorts of things in order to stop the warlocks and orb as a part of her defense. She had been able to expand her orbing power to send others away not just herself. Prue had also grown stronger. She could levitate herself and others and she had developed control of the elements. Noticing her sister was in danger, Prue found herself sending sparks of electricity towards the warlock, killing him instantly. Once all the civilians were evacuated from the building, Phoebe joined in on the fight, using her levitation to kick a warlock towards her sister who blew him up with one flow from her arms. As the last of the warlocks were defeated, the four sisters came together.
"Well, I'd say that was successful." Phoebe said.
"For now." Prue replied.
"If they're trying to take over the city, how else would they go about it?" Paige asked.
"The mayor. Did anyone see her leave?" Piper asked.
The girls all shook their heads. Piper and Phoebe quickly grab Paige's hands and orbed with her. Prue teleported herself to the mayor's office. When the girls arrived, they saw the mayor lying on top of her desk, dead. Lucius appeared and smiled at the sisters.
"You were just a little too late." Lucius said.
"We may have not been able to save her but we saved everyone else, you can't take control of the city." Prue replied.
Lucius laughed. He was joined by Cassius and Democritus, who held hands.
"You might as well give up now, Charmed ones. You can't stop us. You saw the future, you know what will happen." Democritus said.
The girls all held hands too.
"It's four against three, we have the upper hand." Piper said.
"You think so? Look again." Cassius said.
Suddenly, demons and warlocks appeared out of nowhere. The girls broke away from each other.
"Kill them." Democritus commanded.
The Abraxi all vanished.
"Cover each other's backs!" Prue chanted.
Prue and Piper stood back to back as did Paige and Phoebe. All the girls ducked when the demons threw energy balls at them. Piper bent down and supported Prue as she levitated herself into the air and roundhouse kicked several of the warlocks away from them. Piper aimed low and blew up the demons by their feet. Phoebe used her powers of reflection to block back the energy and fireballs that were thrown at them. Paige conjured up fireballs and threw them at the demons and warlocks alike.
"This is suicide. We need to go." One of the warlocks said.
"No, we need to do this for the Abraxi." One of the other warlocks replied.
They charged against Prue and Piper but Piper blew them up easily and Prue sent the others on fire. The remaining evil beings shimmered or blinked away.
"Not bad." Piper said.
"Guys! Come here!" Paige yelled.
The remaining sisters ran over towards the window. The Abraxi were nowhere to be seen but hundreds of their armies had taken civilians outside of their homes and were threatening to kill them.
"No! No!" Prue shouted.
Lucius appeared in the middle of the street.
"Charmed Ones, as you can see, there is only four of you and hundreds of us. Either you surrender now or we'll have no choice but to start killing civilians one by one."
Leo orbed into the mayor's office. Piper quickly grabbed him down in order to avoid anyone seeing him.
"No one wanted to help the fight. They were all too scared to face The Abraxi." Leo said.
"Leo, we don't have any time left. Either we surrender, or they'll start killing innocents." Piper replied.
"There has to be something that we can do." Leo said.
"Surrender." Prue said.
All the sisters looked at Prue with shock written all over their faces. Phoebe put a hand on Prue's shoulder.
"This doesn't sound like you, Prue." Phoebe said.
"You didn't let me finish. We go down there and surrender and then when they let their guard down, we send them to the netherworld. The only being that could open that other than us was The Source." Prue said.
"But we can't open that without evil helping us." Phoebe said.
"As the power of three yes but as the power of four? We may be able to do it. It's worth a try." Prue replied.
"What if it doesn't work?" Piper asked.
"Then we'll have to evacuate." Prue said.
"But what about the innocents?" Phoebe asked.
Prue turned to Phoebe, tears streaming down her face.
"I don't think we can save them. I don't know how. There's too many of them."
"I'll go with you." Leo said.
Piper shook her head.
"This isn't your fight, Leo. Try to save some of the innocents. That's all you can do."
"Piper."
Piper held Leo's face in her hands.
"I love you so much, Leo."
"Piper, no! No!"
Piper kissed Leo and then wiped away her tears.
"This could be it and I just want to say I love you. That's it, I want my last words to be to you that I love you."
Piper and the rest of the sisters orbed down to face the Abraxi.
"Well, have you finally come to your senses?" Lucius asked.
"Yes, we surrender." Prue said.
Lucius, Cassius and Democritus all stood around in a circle, Phoebe and Piper stood in the other points of the circle. Paige didn't know what was happening, so she stayed behind Prue.
"Paige, stand at that opening next to Phoebe."
"Why?"
"Paige, please. I need you to."
Paige walked over towards the other point. Prue walked towards the center of the circle. Not entirely sure what was going on, Democritus stood towards the center of the circle.
"What's going on?" Democritus asked.
"Now! Do it now!" Prue yelled.
"Prue, No!" Piper screamed.
"Do it now!" Prue screamed.
"Take them away, away from this plain and onto another. Take them to the netherworld, between good and evil, where one will rise and the other will fall!" The girls chanted.
A massive pit appeared behind Prue and Democritus. They were sucked into it. Before they could stop her, Piper ran and jumped into the pit. It enveloped the three of them and then closed immediately. Phoebe and Paige stood back in shock. Prue had lied to them. She wasn't going to banish the Abraxi, she was going to go up against Democritus herself but what she hadn't counted on was for Piper to join her. When Cassius and Lucius were aware of what happened, they immediately started attacking Phoebe and Paige. Leo did the best he could to save the innocents but even he was overpowered. He joined Phoebe and Paige and orbed away, with no other choice.
Phoebe, Paige and Leo appeared miles away from San Francisco in their father's home.
"Why did we come here?" Phoebe asked.
"I knew they couldn't find us here." Leo replied.
They walked into the living room, which had a dark sofa, and several armchairs positioned next to it. The three of them all sat in the chairs.
"Is my father home?" Phoebe asked.
"No, not yet." Leo replied.
Phoebe ran her hands through her hair and started taking shallow breaths.
"I can't believe Prue lied to us." Phoebe said.
"She had to. She knew you would never agree to the plan if you knew what she was really up to." Leo said.
"But now the power of four is split, we can't defeat any of them without it." Paige replied.
"But their power is split too. They can't defeat you either. The only way for you or them to win is all together."
"So then why split up at all?" Phoebe asked.
"It's Prue's destiny to defeat Democritus, not kill him, just defeat him. If she doesn't, then good magic will be destroyed." Leo replied.
"We could help her." Paige said.
Leo shook his head.
"This is her battle." Leo said.
"Then why did Piper go?" Phoebe asked.
"Piper made a choice, Phoebe. She made a choice to change her fate."
Phoebe stood up suddenly.
"What does that mean?"
"I don't know, only Piper and Prue will know." Leo said.
"What exactly is this netherworld?" Paige asked.
"It's a realm that lies between good and evil. Prue's been there before but Piper never was. They could be stuck there forever." Phoebe said.
"What?" Paige asked angrily.
"Prue had us stand that way so we would be working with evil to open it. We can't open it without Lucius and Cassius."
Paige stood up and put her hands on her hips.
"How is this a good thing? How is this helpful? Prue and Piper could be down there forever and we're all alone with two of the Abraxi who are currently taking over the city."
"We need to find a way to stop them. There's nothing we can do about Prue or Piper now, we have to trust that they'll stop Democritus. In the mean time, we have to stop them and fast." Phoebe replied.
"How? We don't have the power of four or even the power of three." Paige said.
"I think there's someone who could help."
The girls and Leo turned around to see who had said those words. They were all surprised to see that it was Patti.
"Mom? How is this possible?" Phoebe asked.
Patti walked over to Paige and hugged her and then hugged Phoebe.
"This isn't normal, I realize but The Elders felt that you could use some help so they allowed me to come down here on my own." Patti said.
Phoebe hugged her.
"I'm really scared, Mom. It's never been this bad before." Phoebe said.
Patti brushed Phoebe's hair out of her eyes and looked directly into her eyes.
"Phoebe, you and your sisters will figure this out. You always do."
"I just don't know how."
Patti invited them all to sit down and began pacing the room.
"They have the city now but not the world. We still have time. We need to come up with a plan on how to trap Lucius and Cassius."
"But how? We can't kill them without Prue and Piper." Paige said.
"We trap them then. You all still have the crystals don't you?" Patti asked.
"They're at the manor. Paige, you can summon them." Phoebe said.
Paige nodded.
"Crystals!" Paige commanded.
Right on cue, the five crystals appeared in Paige's hands. She put them on the floor.
"So how do we trick them into the crystals? They're powerful." Phoebe said.
"Remember you have me to help you." Leo said.
"And me." Patti added.
"We have to trap them somehow." Phoebe said.
"How? They know that they can't kill us without Democritus, what would they have to gain by attacking us?" Paige asked.
Phoebe thought for a moment. Paige had brought up a strong point. While she remained silent, the front door opened. Victor appeared carrying some groceries in his hands. When he saw his family, he dropped the bags in shock. Patti stood up.
"Victor, I can explain." Patti said.
"Really? You can explain how my dead ex-wife, my daughter, my ex-wife's daughter with another man and my other daughter's angel husband are in my living room?" Victor asked.
"I didn't say I could easily explain it." Patti commented.
Patti walked over to Victor and helped him pick up the groceries.
"It's not that I'm not happy to see you, it's just quite a shock. I haven't seen you all in a long time. What's going on?" Victor asked.
Phoebe stood up and walked over to her parents.
"Dad, there are warlocks who are taking over the city. It's not safe to be there anymore." Phoebe said.
"Can't you vanquish them?" Victor asked.
"Not without Prue and Piper." Paige added.
"Well, where are they?" Victor asked.
Phoebe and Paige both looked down.
"Prue and Piper are trapped in a sort of alternate dimension."
Victor crossed his arms.
"What does that mean?" He asked angrily.
Leo put his hands in order to try to calm him down.
"It's a different reality from our own, sir."
"Well, when are they coming back?" Victor asked.
"We don't know." Leo replied.
Victor put down a grocery bag and angrily crept up towards Leo.
"What the hell does that mean? What did you do with my daughters?" Victor snapped.
"Dad! Stop it! It's not his fault." Phoebe said.
Victor turned to Phoebe.
"You're okay with this?" He asked angrily.
"No! Of course not! But it happened and we have to figure out how to stop the Abraxi that are here." Phoebe said.
Victor stepped away and calmed down.
"I'm sorry. I just feel incredibly upset. Piper was so mad at me when I tried to take the book away and I want her to forgive me. I want to apologize to her."
"You'll have a chance to." Phoebe said.
Victor and Patti put away the groceries while Paige, Phoebe and Leo returned to the couch. As Phoebe was about to speak about a possible plan to trap two of the Abraxi, her phone rang.
"Hello."
"Phoebe, it's me, Jason."
"Jason?"
"Phoebe, please help me. I don't know whom else to call. I'm in trouble."
"What's the matter? What's going on?"
Suddenly, Jason was cut off.
"We have your mortal."
Phoebe dropped the phone in shock. Paige and Leo both turned to her, demanding to know what was going on.
"They have Jason."
"What?" Leo asked.
"Pick up the phone and put it on speaker." Paige ordered.
Phoebe nodded and quickly picked up the phone and pressed the speaker button.
"What do you want?" Phoebe asked.
"We know you care about him and he dies if you don't give up your powers to us." Lucius replied.
"What good would that do without Democritus?" Phoebe asked.
"You'd be neutralized so that when he returns, we'd kill you all with ease." Cassius replied.
"Put Jason back on the phone." Phoebe ordered.
"Why?"
"Do you want my powers or not?"
"Phoebe. What's going on?" Jason asked.
"Jason, listen to me. Do whatever they tell you to, ok? They can really hurt you so please just listen to them. I'm coming over soon."
"Okay, please hurry."
Phoebe heard them take away the phone from Jason.
"You have one hour or he dies." Cassius said.
The phone line went dead. Phoebe put her phone away.
"What do we do now?" Paige asked.
Patti and Victor returned. Phoebe stood up and turned to face her family.
"I have to go and save Jason, I have to go up against them." Phoebe said.
"Alone? You can't go alone." Paige replied.
"Yes, alone. Because then you, Leo and Mom can go out and free the innocents."
"But there are so many of them? How can we stop them all?" Paige asked.
"You need to make a vanquishing potion with the blood of thirteen of those warlocks. Once you make it, Leo, go up to the bridge and destroy it over the city. The wind should take the contents of the potion and spread it all over the city, which should kill them all. We may not be able to save all the innocents but I'll be damned if we don't save at least some of them." Phoebe said.
"Will that work?" Paige asked.
"It should. It's the warlock-vanquishing spell in the book. You can summon it if you need help making it." Phoebe replied.
Phoebe turned away from her family but Paige grabbed her.
"What about you? Will you be okay? You'll be going up against two of them and you don't have any major active powers." Paige replied.
"This is something I need to do." Phoebe said.
Phoebe took the crystals and put them in her pocket. Patti walked over to her and hugged her.
"Be safe, Phoebe. Be strong."
"I will."
Patti walked away from her.
"Leo?" Phoebe asked.
Leo nodded.
"Good luck, Phoebe."
He orbed Phoebe to The Bay Mirror.
Paige, Patti and Leo walked to the kitchen and began making the warlock vanquishing potions. They tried to make as many as they could just to be safe.
"What is that smell?" Victor asked.
"Potions generally smell disgusting." Patti said.
"I almost passed out when Prue showed me my first time." Paige recalled with a laugh.
"How can you all be so calm? Phoebe's in danger." Victor asked.
"Phoebe's strong. She's going to be okay." Leo replied.
"And we have a job we need to do. We have innocents to save." Paige replied.
When the potions were all made, Patti kissed Victor on the cheek.
"Thank you for giving us all a place to hide." Patti said.
"I didn't really have a choice but you're welcome." Victor said.
Leo and Paige held Patti's hands.
"Be careful." Victor said.
"We will." Patti said.
Victor watched as they orbed away.
When Leo, Paige and Patti orbed onto the street, nobody noticed. All of the people were yelling and screaming in the streets, as the warlocks chased them. Leo and Paige ran over to a little girl who was in trouble. As a warlock attacked her with an energy ball, Paige summoned it and sent it flying back towards him. Leo stabbed him with a knife and deposited some of the blood in one of the potions. Patti froze another one of the warlocks and took some of his blood into another potion. When he came to, Leo electrocuted him. Seeing a couple in danger, Paige ran over and summoned fire under the warlock, which set him on fire. Before he was fully consumed by the fire, Paige took some of his blood and filled the vials. The couple thanked her before running away into their car to escape the city.
Some warlocks blinked behind Paige and threw her to the ground. Leo and Patti ran over to help them. Patti froze them, which gave time for Paige to collect herself. Paige stood behind Leo and when they unfroze, summoned a giant gust of wind to blow them up into the air and Leo had a perfect shot to blast them to bits. As their blood fell down, Paige and Leo opened up the vials for them to drop in.
"Nice work, partner." Paige said.
"Not so bad yourself." Leo replied with a smile.
Phoebe arrived in the bay mirror and successfully vanquished a few warlocks who were attacking some of the employees in front of the building. Her martial arts and levitation came in handy at that exact moment. When she was attacked on the elevator, she levitated into the air and slammed the warlock against the wall. When he sent an energy ball towards her, Phoebe quickly reflected it back towards her and she blew up. Phoebe took in a deep breath and then walked up towards the top floor where Jason was held. As she walked in, she saw Jason lying on the floor. His clothes were torn and he looked critically hurt. She raced over to him and held her in her arms.
"Jason, are you okay? Jason!" Phoebe called out.
"Phoebe, watch out. They're behind you." Jason said.
Phoebe turned around and levitated into the air and kicked Cassius away from her and onto the ground. When Lucius grabbed her, Phoebe fell down to her knees and saw various memories of her losing innocents over the years. Notably, she saw the time where she killed an innocent when she had been under the Source's influence. Noticing that Phoebe was in distress, Jason kicked Cassius away from her. The kick was weak but it was enough to break Cassius' influence on her. When Phoebe was freed, she levitated and grabbed the pipes on the ceiling and kicked Cassius away from her. Cassius and Lucius both stood up.
"Surrender to us now or we'll kill him." Lucius said.
Phoebe felt the crystals in her pocket. She considered them for a moment and then looked towards Jason.
"How do I know that I can trust you if you just attacked me?" Phoebe asked.
"We thought you were making a break for it." Cassius said.
"Evil people are the ones who can't keep promises, not the good people." Phoebe replied.
Phoebe dropped a crystal on the floor when Cassius and Lucius weren't paying attention.
"Very well then, say the spell." Cassius said.
Phoebe dropped another crystal.
"Let him go first." Phoebe said.
Phoebe, Cassius and Lucius were now circling each other around the room as they all had their eyes on Jason, who was lying on the floor in the center.
"If we do, then you'll leave." Cassius said.
Phoebe shook her head.
"I don't have teleportation powers like my other sisters do. Jason's in critical condition, he needs to go to a hospital." Phoebe said.
"Give us your powers first and then we'll give you the moral." Cassius said.
"Surely you don't want to lose another innocent." Lucius said cruelly.
Phoebe was visibly bothered by his comment.
"I'm not losing Jason." Phoebe said.
"You will if you don't hand over your powers to us." Cassius said.
Phoebe dropped the third crystal and continued to circle around the floor.
"Well it looks like we're at a stalemate." Phoebe said.
"I don't see it that way. There's one of you and two of us. We can destroy you easily." Cassius said.
"Not without your brother, you can't."
"Doesn't mean we can't make it hurt." Lucius said.
Cassius sent a trail of wind towards Phoebe, which blew her off of her feet. Lucius ran over to her and forced her to relive even more painful moments of her losing and harming innocents. Phoebe began crying as the pain became too intense. Everything went black.
Phoebe awoke in a place that was only comprised of a white light and a bench. This was the same place that Prue had met Andy three years prior. Phoebe noticed a woman sitting on the bench. Phoebe sat next to her.
"Phoebe, we don't have much time so I'm going to make this brief. The only way that you can defeat Lucius is to not let his words bother you. You can't let him hurt you."
"He's right. I killed an innocent and many of them are going to die today because I couldn't save them."
The woman turned to her.
"Think of the many innocents you have saved. Think of how hard you have worked and all that you have sacrificed to save the many innocents that you do. The thing about good and evil is that evil may be more noticeable but good is always around and always there. You may have made some mistakes, Phoebe but don't let that cover all the good you have done. Return, Phoebe, Save Jason and stop them."
"But I let Daryl die." Phoebe said in tears.
The woman comforted her.
"Phoebe, you did everything you could. Daryl made a choice to save your life. He wouldn't want you to blame yourself."
"But Sheila does."
"Sheila needs some time to grieve. Give her the time to grieve and give yourself the time too."
Phoebe tried to calm herself.
"I just don't think I can get over how guilty I feel." Phoebe said.
"Allow yourself to grieve for the innocents you have lost but don't blame yourself for the loss. Once you finish grieving, use that sadness and that pain to give you the strength to protect other innocents." Phoebe let her words sink in and then took in a deep breath. "I'm not letting anything happen to Jason. I can save him, I am strong enough."
"You always have been." The elder said.
Phoebe nodded and stood up.
"I'm ready to save him. Thank you."
The woman smiled and then vanished.
Phoebe returned to and thought of all the good that she had done, she thought of all the innocents she has saved. She stood up and reflected Lucius away from her. He landed on the ground with a thud. Phoebe threw the four and fifth crystals to complete the circle. As Cassius tried to send wind to blow her off of the building, Phoebe stood strong and sent the wind flying back right at him. Phoebe ran over to the last crystal to activate it, trapping them in the center.
"Jason, if you can. Come through." Phoebe called out.
"But it's an electrical field." Jason replied.
"It only affects evil." Phoebe said.
Jason trusted her and used all of his energy to run through the field before Lucius and Cassius regained consciousness. Jason fell to the floor and Phoebe called out for an Elder to heal Jason. One of them responded and quickly healed his wounds.
"Take him somewhere safe." Phoebe said.
The elder nodded. He took Jason's hand but Jason ran over to Phoebe and kissed her.
"You are so hot when you kick ass you know that?" Jason said.
Phoebe blushed.
"I'm glad you're okay, Jason. This must've come as quite a shock." Phoebe replied.
"Yeah, it is but I don't care. I want to be with you, I don't care that you're a witch."
Phoebe and Jason embraced.
"Go with the Elder. I'll see you soon."
Jason nodded and left with the Elder.
Paige orbed away just in time to avoid a fireball sent by a warlock. She reappeared behind the warlock and conjured a knife and stabbed him in the back. She took the blood and filled up the potion.
"Is that it? Is that all thirteen?" Paige asked.
"Yes, we have them all." Leo replied.
"Come on!" Paige yelled.
Leo quickly helped destroy a warlock who was attacking Patti and then orbed with Paige to the top of the golden gate bridge. Leo, Paige and Patti threw all of their vials into the air and then Leo destroyed the cases allowing the potion contents to be taken away by the wind. All over the city, all of the warlocks were being vanquished. Thousands of innocents were saved that day.
"Good work." Patti said.
"We couldn't have done it without you." Paige replied.
"Let's go check on Phoebe." Leo said.
Paige and Patti nodded and joined Leo to orb towards Phoebe. They saw that the building had taken incredibly damage but Phoebe looked fine. They noticed that Lucius and Cassius were trapped in the crystals. Phoebe turned around to see them.
"Took you long enough." Phoebe said.
"Looks like you didn't need any help here." Paige replied.
"Piece of cake." Phoebe commented.
"Now we just need to trap Democritus and then they'll be an easy vanquish." Leo replied.
"Not so fast!" Lucius yelled.
"You've seen the future. You know what's going to happen. Prue will lose the battle to Democritus. He'll enslave her and you'll lose the power of four. When he returns, we'll reunite and take over this world and then when you try to stop us, you'll all die one by one." Cassius said.
Phoebe, Paige, Patti and Leo all looked towards each other, concerned that the future they saw will be the future that will come true even though they currently had the upper hand. What was happening with Prue, Piper and Democritus? Would they be okay? Would Prue be able to win the fight? If only they could know.
A/N: There's only one more chapter to go! Thanks for all your support! The finale will be posted soon. Can the girls finally vanquish The Abraxi and prevent the future they saw from happening?
