Chris and Martin sat in the Tortuga, nursing the wounds from the whips Mr. OLasVagas ordered. Chris' back was throbbing from the medicine Laura rubbed in. Martin was just trying to adjust himself in his chair, but was sore.
Laura was so upset, "This enemy of ours has my precious sister in Jeff's hands... Again?"
Martin answered, "Yep... And I believe we have no choice... but, Tortuga Crew... we might as well give up. Aviva will never return."
Lola Bunny gasped, "Oh, no!"
Chris jumped up, "Martin! Give up for saving Aviva?!"
Martin frowned, "For the final time, what makes you so interested in saving Aviva?!"
Chris winced, "I-uh-We can't be a team without her. She's the heart of the Tortuga!"
Laura frowned, "Chris, enough of your symbolizing-the-Tortuga-as-a-human-body."
Koki said, "Chris is right. Without Aviva, who started this whole administration, we would be as dead flies in here."
Chris stood up and stood his left hand, "Who's in favor in saving Aviva? Those in favor raise left hand!"
Lola, Bugs, Daffy, Koki, Jimmy, and Applay rose their hands.
"Those in favor of NOT saving Aviva, raise your right hand."
Martin and Laura rose their right hands. Chris' jaw dropped, "SHAME ON YOU, LAURA. My father would say the same thing. Giving up your precious sister over to her natural enemy. That's like-uh-Martin giving me over my natural enemy... the shower."
Lola laughed, "Are you kidding?! You hate baths?"
Chris blushed, "I hated baths since when I was three... when I jumped in a mud wallow."
Koki and Jimmy were shocked, "Wow, we never knew you hated baths."
Chris gulped, "That's why Aviva made that Bath washer 3000 in College. I didn't want ot wash up around Martin or those girls, so she attached a belt that only she was to remove. Whenever I got dirty, that robot would grab me," Then, he shook, I was glad I was able to remove it and throw it on him who wanted it."
Martin's eyes widened, "Oh, not that time! Aviva was so furied! I would never forget that day... I got so prideful that the machine was made and getting Chris dirty enough for the robot to get him, that he put it on me! And fed me Chili dogs!"
Chris said, "Oh well, seven over two. We won. We will stay until my... our Aviva is home safe!"
Martin raised an eyebrow. "'My' Aviva? What's the meaning of this?"
Chris blushed, "I kinda... you know, like her."
Lola Bunny gasped again, "Oh, Bug Bun! Chris is in love with Aviva... oh! A Zachbot!"
In came a bot with Zach on it. He wore the most sadden expression man could never copy. He handed Chris a letter, "Letter from OLasVagas."
Chris opened the letter and saw it addressed to the Tortuga, "My not-so-dearest friends,"
Martin snorted, "Nice greeting."
Chris continued, "This night, we will have a battle. If you win, I will surrender the girl over to you, permanently. But if I win, I will keep the girl to Jeff. Then, you must surrender those crowns of yours and that brother of yours. If there is a tie in this battle, the girl will die!"
Chris panted so hard as he dropped the letter. Martin picked it up and reread the same words... but read the ending, "As I requested, I will win over this battle. You, Chris, will fight like a man... without that sword of Martin's. You know, he and my father were great enemies. My father, Clogg had your ancestor in slave prison!"
Chris said, "Wait a minute! Martin the Warrior is our great-great ancestor. He was sold as a slave at three years old and was set free after killing Clogg at eighteen..."
Martin gasped, "That's the same amount of years you were in the forest!"
"And, Rose, his wife was killed in a battle..."
Chris gasped so hard. Laura sat Chris in a chair, he said, "I have a terrible feeling we might not win tonight... Aviva will die!"
