The geniuses sat in the limo, the trio on one side and the couple on the other. There were no remnants of their past encounter, which was just as well. All that remained were the two trilby hats, which L plonked on his and Light's heads in celebration. Although sore from his experiences with Akira, Light tried his best to look comfortable and happy. After all, they'd just caught half of Kira. Only half though, they still had plenty of work to do. L put a firm hand of Light's shoulder and leaned in towards his boyfriend. 'How are you feeling?' He said in a hushed tone.

Light grimaced slightly, a smile on his face. ' Sore. Violated. But I'm okay.' He gently bumped his forehead against L's, their eyelashes meeting. L's hands found Light's, 'I'll make it up to you. I promise. We'll catch Kira, and it'll just be you and me. Forever.' L rarely spoke like this, but when he did it always made Light's heart skip a beat. 'I love you Light. I mean that.' His tone was gentle and meaningful. Not to mention incredibly sexy...

'I love you too. Now can we get some more lube? You're not going anywhere near me without it!' After planting a quick kiss on his lover's mouth, L went over to exchange words with Watari. Soon, they were en route to the sex shop that they'd briefly visited earlier.

'Light, I've been thinking. Matt and Mello are 15 now, with Near close behind at 13. They don't have much longer before they'll be old enough to leave Wammys House, and I don't know what'll happen. I know they're smart, but to me, they're still just kids. Do you really love me? As in, are you serious enough about me that you want to stay with me forever?' L's tone was gentle, his eyes meaningful.

'I think so.'

The detective sighed. ' I think so isn't gonna cut it Light. I need a yes or no. Please.'

Everything that Light knew swirled around his head. Was he willing to give up his life for L? He was willing to give him his virginity, a privilege that he'd denied numerous people in the past. He loved some of them. At least he thought so. What made L so different? Light wasn't questioning his judgement earlier, he had no regrets about sleeping with L. At all. L was beginning to look quite worried now, he hadn't replied for about a minute. It was now or never. Take it or leave it.

'Yes.'

The anxiety in his obsidian eyes washed away in a single blink, and suddenly Light was encased in a bear hug. 'For a second, I thought you'd say no,' L whispered into his hair, holding his lover tight.

Light smiled wryly. 'Don't be silly, you can't get rid of me that easily.' He turned his head and planted a kiss on the detective's neck before pulling apart to get eye contact.'Why did you want to know so badly?'

'The boys need a home. You've seen how they behave at Wammys, they're clearly bored in lessons. They've surpassed the others, yet they're still kids. I was thinking about adopting them as younger brothers, but I wanted you to be part of it too.'

Light placed a hand on the detective's shoulder. 'That... is a brilliant idea.' He said slowly, a smile spreading across his face. L's eyes lit up. ' Really?' A rare grin began to form across his face, and he once again pulled Light into a tight embrace.

Behind them, the trio were taking it in turns to kiss one another in celebration.

'Come here you little albino...' Mello locked his lips with Near, who responded with enthusiasm, raking his fingers through his blonde hair. Mello, on the other hand, had different ideas and his hands were beginning to make a beeline for the other's crotch. Matt spectated happily, amused at the sight. Near almost choked when he felt a hand wrap around his hardening member, and pulled back, red in the face and breathless. The blonde just grinned and proceeded to do the same to Matt, who accepted his happily, practically thrusting against Mello's grip. Matt and Mello definitely had a lot more sexual desire than Near but that was expected, seeing as they were 2 years older. When they finally broke free, Matt approached Near. He put a hand on one side of his face and pulled him in for a kiss, twiddling with his pearly white bangs. When the kiss ended, Matt looked down on the boy with those green eyes that everybody loved, and winked before pulling apart. It was at this moment that L and Light broke from their embrace and turned to look at the trio. ' Come over here for a moment,' L beckoned.

When fully gathered, L began. ' How would you feel about becoming adopted by Light and I as younger brothers?'. He went straight for the kill, his hand entwined in Light's. Their response was inevitable. All three of them looked at each other in awe, and began to smile. Near's hand found Matt's, whose found Mello's. 'That sounds great. We accept your offer!' Matt spoke, pulling Near and Mello into a hug one either side.

It was L's turn to be delighted, and he pulled Light in for a quick kiss in celebration. Just then, the car drew to a stop.

'Ah, we must be here.' The detective dug a hand into his pocket and pulled out a fistful of yen, counting it briefly. 'Here,' he said, handing the cash to Matt. 'Theres about 50,000 yen there, for the three of you. If you need money, just ask.'

' Where exactly are we going?' Mello asked.

'Light left his lube at the scene of the crime so we need to buy some more.' This guy really had no shame!

'So we're going to a sex shop?'

'Precisely.'

Light butted in. 'Boys, the legal age of consent here is 13, so by all means do what you want, we won't interfere with whatever you do. Just bear in mind the age of consent is 16 in England. Again, we won't interfere, but just keep that in mind. I'm here if you need to talk.' He gave them a reassuring smile and stepped out of the car, L in tow.

Mello turned to Matt when they were outside. 'Did we just get the sex talk?'

'I don't know...'
