Hello, everyone.
I am VER VERY VERY VERY VERY sorry for how late this Fic is. Please, forgive me?
It actually would have been up earlier if I hadn't decided to stubbornly go on strike against 4kids after I heard Sakyo Kurayami's voice actor.
I mean, who on earth casts an obviously black man to play a very sexy white man? I mean, okay, so Zeo's voice actor is black, but he does a really good job and he sounds…well….like Zeo! But don't get me started on Sakyo…
I mean, I'm not racist or anything. Anyway, that would make me a hypocrite, since I'm darker too. But honestly…WHATTHEFUCKINGFLIPPINGHELLWEREYOUTHINKING 4KIDSWHATTHEHONESTFUCKWASGOINGTHROUGHYOUMINDSOMANY GOODVOICEACTORSOUTTHEREANDYOUGOFORTHEWORSTONEEVERN OTONLYISYOURSCRIPTWRITERFORBEYBLADEHORRIBLENOWTHIS DON'TMAKEMESLAYYOUYOU'DBETTERCHANGEHIMASFASTASPOSS IBLEBEFORYOULOSEALLYOURTEENAGEFANS!
*phew*, glad I got that out of my system.
So, here we are! I'm still waiting for everybody's replies so I can put together a plan for the next 13 chapters.
So, anyway, the POVs for this chapter are all over the place. I'm sorry in advance. I've done it for the sake of the chapter, but this is the only time I will risk it.
It was four o'clock, and an air of excitement penetrated dorm nine, home dorm of many beyblader girls on Metal High campus.
Every couple seconds, a female student of Metal High would poke her head out of her room to look around the dorm, becoming progressively more beautiful every time she did so. Whispers and giggles came from the depths of the rooms as girls helped each other into dresses and did their make up.
The group of Blader friends had all gathered in the largest room in the whole dorm, and all those from around could hear was squealing and laughter. At some point, Merulia Tategami walked out of the room brandishing a hair straightener and yelling "Death to all who oppose me!", then skipped back inside, but besides that, no one knew what was going on in that room.
Around five, Aurora Heart and Cynthia Lance emerged, arm in arm, singing 'the Grand Ole Duke of York' at the top of their lungs. It was the first time anyone could see Aurora act this energetic and Cynthia smile around other girls.
A girl poked her head outside her room, her brown hair in ringlets, and yelled, "Aurora! Cynthia! What have you been smoking?"
Cynthia grinned widely. "You don't want to know, Madoka!"
The girl scowled, but her eyes remained cheerful. "No, I don't." She closed her door again.
Cynthia and Aurora then skipped back into the room and closed the door, and a quiet fell over the dorm again.
When the clock struck five thirty-seven, a shriek echoed down the corridor and Natsumi Hiwatari ran out of the room dripping wet, giggling and blubbering something about 'damned piping'. She was followed out by Blaze Hagane, who was chuckling. The front of her shirt was soaked.
The two girls ran out of the dorm building, leaving muddy footprints behind them that were almost a sure death trap for anyone who stepped on them.
They came back a few minutes carrying bags that obviously contained dresses. They disappeared back into the room, still dripping wet.
Soon after that, an eerie quiet fell over the dorm. Nothing moved, nothing breathed. It was as if someone had paused the world, and yet time continued going. The sun slowly lowered in the sky as the clock kept ticking.
Finally, the door flew open and the hallway suddenly filled with glitter and light. Thirteen girls emerged, each one sparkling and smiling. They paused, glancing from one to the other as if awed by their own creation. Finally, Anika Last broke through the silence by pulling put a camera and yelling "Picture time!"
Natsumi, who was wearing her long silver gown with dark blue lace around the bottom, called, "Set it on auto and get in here!" She had her dark black hair in a waterfall braid that cascaded around her shoulders and silver eyeliner outlined her pale eyes.
Anika grinned and took out a stand for her camera out of nowehere and positioned the camera on it. Then she ran to the girls and joined them. They all grinned as the camera began to click away.
Anika was wearing her red dress, which fell around her knees in the front, but touched all the way to her heels in the back. It faded into pink as it neared the bottom. It had one strap and a silky sash tied in a large bow in the back.
She had her hair curled and then braided across her head in intricate twists with red feathers, and she wore golden eye shadow and had black feather earrings in her ears.
She had to grab onto Merulia as she almost fell over because of her short black heels, and Merulia grabbed her roughly.
"Aren't those heels a bit...small?"
Anika nearly tipped over. "Whoooaaa no!"
Merulia giggled. She looked down at her one-inch silver heels with amusement. They matched her dress well; it was bright blue and reached just below her knees and had a black band around the waist. She had a simple silver choker around her neck. Natsumi was determined on murdering her because she refused to do her hair with more than a simple barette, but Merulia didn't care.
Natsumi scowled at Merulia from beside Aurora, as if she could read Merulia's mind. Merulia had to admit, Aurora did look quite stunning. She was wearing her strapless, silky white dress. It had a pink flowery sash around the waist that matched her pink necklace with a rode charm and matching earrings and bracelet. She was wearing white strappy heels, and her was curled in ringlets woven with pink roses, along with pink lipstick and eyeshadow.
Wanda put her arm around her newest friend encouragingly. She and Aurora had grown quite close after their interesting excursion to 'Glitter and Co.' and Aurora had begun to open up more to everyone. She herself was feeling a bit unsure about what Ryuga would think of her…..
Wanda was wearing her black and white checkered dress with red and white striped arm warmers. She had worn black ankle length boots and her hair was in a side braid with a zebra ribbon. Had also put lip gloss on, but she still hoped Ryuga would like her.
"You look great." Aurora smiled, a bit shyly, as if she could read Wanda's mind.
"Well, says you." Wanda countered, but she began to feel better.
Beside them, best friends Blaze and Cassie high-fived each other, while their other, usually gloomy roommate Cynthia swatted Cassie across the head, as if annoyed but also amused at something the other girl has said.
Blaze was wearing a purple dress with ruffle beading and a black leather jacket, while Cassie, who looked equally glamorous, was wearing her purple sleeveless dress, a black head band and black flat shoes.
"Still wearing those sunglasses?" Cynthia asked.
Cassie grinned evilly. "Always."
Blaze shrugged. "Get used to it."
Cynthia looked genuinely happy for one of the first times in her whole life. Usually, she only showed her feelings to Wales and Ryuga, but now she was beginning to draw closer to her new girlfriends too. She had even allowed Natsumi to do her makeup, which consisted of a good amount of mascara, grey and white eye shadow and New York apple Mac lipstick. She had on the poufy light blue dress that had no straps and the corset-like top, with a ruffly bottom, the one she had magically found at 'Le Chateau' after Kiyoko crashed into the stand of jewelry. Matching her dress were green, low heeled dress shoes.
Neptune, who was wearing a flowing white dress and a light blue jacket over top, her blue hair done in curls, gestured with a grin to Kiyoko.
Kiyoko, who was wearing a skin tight blue dress with a wave design across the bottom and a green ribbon, green converse to match, saw what Neptune's intentions were.
Neptune was sneaking up on Andrea, who seemed a bit distracted in making sure she looked nice for the picture. She did look nice indeed; she wore her long, ankle length, dark cream colored dress, that had a green bang tied around the waist and sleeves that went to her wrists and were very loose on the ends, a green corset design went from the end of the sleeve to her elbow. Her hair was done in a simple ponytail and she had painted, strangely, two dark green triangles under her eyes.
Neptune tiptoed behind her quietly and raised her hands over Andrea's shoulders, then brought them down, eliciting a shriek out of Andrea.
All those who had seen what Neptune was doing burst out laughing.
"That was a joke to rival Merulia's!" Abby Tyler, who was wearing a dark purple dress with a black jacket, called.
Anika grinned. "You guys realise we got that on camera, right?"
"Oh my god no." Andrea exclaimed, looking a slight bit embarrassed. "That would make 'Funny Beyblader TV' material!" She groaned.
"Well then, it's a good thing there's no such thing." Neptune assured her. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you!"
Andrea rolled her eyes.
Taiyoo, wearing her dress with a sweetheart neckline and yellow lace, with a white, and flowy skirt with white lace and gold sparkles, her hair let down aroud her shoulders for the first time ever, her makeup llight pink blush, light pink lipstick white eye shadow and gold sparkles in everything, ran to the camera to check. "Yeah! Guys, this is so going in the yearbook!" She exclaimed.
The thirteen teenagers crowded around her as Anika lifted the camera off her magical stand and showed the screen to everyone.
The first picture showed Neptune right behind Andrea. Then, in the next, Andrea was screaming while Neptune stuck her tongue out and everyone around was laughing hard.
"That is awesome!" Merulia exclaimed.
"Hilarious." Andrea said, unimpressed. "Let us never speak of this again and-"
"HOLY BEYSPIRIT, IS IT THAT LATE?!" Natsumi shrieked right into Abby's ear, making her jump.
"What time is it, Nat?" Aurora asked.
"SIX!" Natsumi howled and took off running.
Cynthia and Merulia were next, realising suddenly that they had a group of boys to impress. Blaze and Cassie followed, and then everyone else.
Anika gave the retreating backs of her friends a glare and retracted her stand and tucked it with her camer in a red bag she had slung over her shoulder. She had a feeling she wouldn't need to rush to find Tsubasa; he wasn't the party type of guy.
A group of fifteen or so boys milled around the dance floor.
The repairs to Metal High had been completed in time for the dance, leaving the huge ballroom of the high school looking shiny and new, untouched and ready for a huge day. Ryuga grinned as he shouted something to Gingka, while Dynamis and Yuki debated over the possiblilty of yet another Nemesis return. Dynamis looked incredibly uncomfortable in the crowd that surrounded him.
Kyoya Tategami laughed at something Wales said, then proceeded to pass it on to Nile. Aguma and Bao chatted with Toby and Zeo, while Julian Konzern and Tsubasa debated over something while drinking punch.
Chris helped King in an attempt to fix a microphone King had stepped on earlied, trying to keep the microphone hidden from headmaster Ryo, who patrolled the room with two other teachers: Mrs. Rivers, a nice, energetic young woman with red hair, and Proffesor Miknovsky, who looked like he'd rather be anywhere else.
Everything sparkled and shone, including the boys in the middle of the room and the gradually arriving couples and groups of senior High School students.
The pale wooden dance floor was perfectly polished. Red, white and purple streamers hung from the roof, intertwined with little dangling stars, joining together around a large, glittering disco ball.
right along the stage was the DJ's booth, large speakers propped up against the wall.
Tables lined the right wall, decorated with purple-and-white striped tablecloths, a vase of red roses perched on top of each table, right along a bowl of chips.
In the front of the room was a wide stage with a microphone set up in the middle and shimmering silver stars and moons hung overtop. A short, twisting staircase led up to it.
Along the left wall, there were long, thin, silver tables set up, with everything from beautifully decorated cupcakes to chips to bowls of punch with gummy roses.
There were also multicolored tables, no doubt meant for games that would happen during the evening.
Beside them, Ryo Hagane had obviously had to set up a large, sky blue beystadium, which was also covered in sparkles.
Finally, a door opened up to an adjoining room to the left of the stage. Behind it, couches had been set up for couples to lounge on, big, poufy couches covered in pillows.
As the clock hit six oh-five, a large group of thirteen girls appeared, walking in as if they owned the place. They immediately got awed glanced from their school comrades and students as they began to mingle with the boys, laughing and cheering.
Dorm nine had arrived. The party was about to start.
Oh wow, that was hard. All those dress and makeup descriptions, I hope you guys didn't fall asleep. Now you know why it took me so long xD
Seriously though.
All right, so this will be more of a dance than a prom. Whatever.
Also, in about a day, I will post an update with the characters, what activities they will be doing, and so forth.
In a week, hopefully, you will get another chapter.
-eaglenation, over and *retreating out of the room slowly with an apologetic smile on her face.*
