Star City

Night

"This is where Prometheus is holding Anatoly?" Wild Dog asked as he, Oliver, Green Arrow, and Rag Man stood outside a seemingly abandoned building.

"It was when he shot that video. I'm reading half a dozen heat signatures," Laurel said back at the lair.

"Prometheus brought back up?" Green Arrow asked.

"Or it could be decoys. Either way, Anatoly could be any one of those heat signatures. We need to split up. You take Wild Dog, I'll take Rag Man," Oliver said and Green Arrow nodded in agreement. "Canary, any word on our friend?"

"He'll be there soon," Laurel said and Oliver nodded.

The four of them entered the building, Green Arrow and Wild Dog splitting off from Oliver and Rag Man. Heading towards one of the heat signatures, they found a locked door. Green Arrow kicked it in and moved towards another door. To his horror, he saw an explosive, the timer nearly on zero.

"Get back!" He cried out, tackling Wild Dog out of the way as it went off.

Oliver and Rag Am heard the sound and Oliver tapped the comms piece in his suit.

"Green Arrow, Wild Dog, do you copy?" he called out. "What was that?"

"The heat signatures are bombs Oliver. We're trapped in here," Green Arrow said and Oliver swore.

"Okay, we've probably got five minutes before this whole place goes down," Oliver said as he turned to Rag Man. "Get Roy and Rene out of here, I will find Anatoly."

Rag Man nodded and went to go help his teammates. Oliver walked down the hall, searching for his friend when an elevator opened up. Oliver whipped his head towards it to see Anatoly, bound to a chair.

"Oliver," Anatoly said as Oliver rushed inside. "Diaz, he is alive."

"I know," Oliver said as he put through Anatoly's binds. "Let's get out of here."

Before they could move, suddenly the doors closed and the elevator began moving.

"What is happening?" Anatoly asked as he got to his feet.

"The man Diaz is working for is controlling the elevator. Anatoly, you need to get out of here, this building is going to explode," Oliver warned him.

"Not without you," Anatoly protested.

"I'm not asking. Take the elevator upstairs," Oliver said as the elevator opened up.

Oliver walked off, coming face to face with Prometheus.

"Hello Oliver," he said in his disguised voice before pulling off his hood and mask to reveal the face of Adrian Chase. "I'm glad Talia told you. I prefer it this way, face to face. There's an honestly to it."

"Honestly, I'm gonna keep us both here until this building comes down on top of us," Oliver promised.

"Then you'd be dead," Adrian pointed out.

"So would you!" Oliver sneered and Adrian smirked.

"Do you really think I'd let that put?" Adrian pulled out a small device and pushed a button, Oliver had a feeling the bombs were disarmed. "Remember, I'm always ten steps ahead of you."

"If that were true, you probably would have seen this coming," Oliver told him.

Adrian was confused he felt a gust of wind in a supposedly empty building. He turned around to see the Flash standing behind him. And next to speedster was his wife, staring at him in horror.

"Adrian," she breathed.

"You shouldn't be here," Adrian told her.

"How else was I supposed to find out the truth? You killed all those people!" She said in disgust.

"It's not that simple," Adrian defended.

"You killed them, it's simple. I know baby, this can't be you. It isn't," She said tearfully as she walked over to him, taking his face in her hands.

Adrian seemed to break, taking her into his arms as he ran a hand through her hair.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry," Adrian glared at Oliver, accusation on his face. "Why did you make her come here?"

"To get you to stop," Mrs. Chase said as she stepped back slightly. "You have to stop. You have to turn yourself in."

"I can't," Adrian said immediately.

"You have to. Whatever you're doing, it's over," She told him.

"You'd tell the police?" Adrian asked.

"No, you tell them," Mrs. Chase said and he sighed.

"You're right. I'm sorry; I'll take care of this," Adrian assured her.

There was the sound of metal piercing flash and Mrs. Chase gasped. Oliver and Barry watched in horror as a bloodied knife fell to the floor. Mrs. Chase stumbled back, shock and pain written across her face, a small wound seeping blood on her stomach.

"Barry!" Oliver called out.

Barry grabbed Mrs. Chase and sped off, taking her to get medical attention. With them gone, Oliver and Adrian rushed each other. They exchanged blows, flipping each other over. They got to their feet, throwing their weapons to the floor before rushing each other, preferring a physical fight. Oliver tackled Adrian to the floor, sending a series of punches to Adrian's face but Adrian blocked him before shoving him off of him. The two jumped to their feet and Oliver tackled Adrian again, breaking through a large wooden board as they continued to exchange blows.

Oliver threw Adrian onto a wooden table, and Adrian grabbed him, dragging him down with him. The table block and they both fell to the floor. They both stood up, stumbling as they glared at each other, Adrian smirking with his bloodied face.

"I told you Oliver, I'm not gonna kill you and you can't kill me," Adrian told him and Oliver sneered.

"Yes Adrian, yes I can!" Oliver shouted.

There was a gun shot and Oliver looked over his shoulder. Talia dropped her bow, a bullet in her shoulder as Anatoly wielded a gun, trained Talia.

"I told you, not without you Oliver," Anatoly said.

Holding her shoulder, Talia backed up as Rag Man, Green Arrow and Wild Dog burst in, aiming their weapons at them.

"Nowhere to run now," Wild Dog said as he took aim.

"Maybe not, but it's not going to end like this," Adrian pulled out a remote and pressed the button. "The timers were just restarted. You have less than a minute. You could stay here and fight us, but then we'll all be dead.

"Fall back!" Oliver ordered gruffly, not liking but not wanting to risk the lives of his loved ones any more. "We live to fight another day, but this isn't over Adrian."

"Oh I know. It's just getting started Ollie," Adrian sang as they retreated.

Arrow lair

Later

"You're sure you're okay?" Oliver asked and Anatoly nodded.

"They did not torture me," Anatoly assured him.

"What happened with Chase's wife?" Oliver asked as he got to his feet, turning to the others.

"She's in a coma, Barry and Thea at the hospital, making sure Chase or anyone he's working with doesn't get to her. And Chase is claiming it was the Green Arrow," Laurel said full of frustration.

"Seriously, how the hell are we supposed to stop this guy?" Rene wondered.

"Even if we can, he'll twist it until the public sees us as the bad guys," Roy noted grimly.

"Perhaps you need a Boris Averin," Anatoly suggested.

"A what?" Roy asked confused.

"Boris Averin. When I was in Russia, Anatoly and I found a man named Boris Averin. He was Diaz's accountant, he would send out all the money to the people Diaz was bribing and make sure it could never be traced back to Diaz. We found him and…convinced him to flip on Diaz," Oliver explained.

"I don't see any of that happening here," Rene noted sourly.

"We don't need someone to flip on him, we have a witness. Anatoly, did Chase unmask himself in front of you?" Laurel asked her mind racing.

"Yes, he revealed himself and Diaz, said something about this being his best self," Anatoly said.

"Laurel, what are you thinking?" Oliver inquired.

"I'm thinking if we can get Anatoly to testify, we can get Chase exposed. At the very least, it will keep us from fighting a war on two fronts," Laurel said.

"I am a gangster. And Russian. I am not sure anyone will believe me," Anatoly said doubtfully.

"It's the only play we've got right now," Roy pointed out.

"You really think Chase is gonna let us do this. He' been…ten steps ahead of us this entire time!" Oliver snapped.

"Well we have to something man!" Rene snapped.

"Oliver, it is okay. If it will take down Chase…I will do it," Anatoly said.

Oliver looked mutinous, but sighed.

"Alright, we've give it a try," Oliver agreed, feeling like this was a big mistake.
