A/N: Well, with this we are drawing to a close. There are two more chapters after this one. One to give you all the action and the resolutions, and one to bring it back to the light hearted playfulness that I had set out to write in the beginning – which got side tracked for the case that just got bigger and bigger, and darker and more sinister as the story progressed. I hope to get the last few chapters up in the next few days, just to knock this story off my list as well.
For now, hope you enjoy this – the last of the development chapters!
Chapter 21: The Way We Roll
Danny and Steve walked into the boat house, with Deanna O'Neil, to find Hetty and Chin alone - sipping their tea - in common room.
"Good afternoon Lieutenant O'Neil," Hetty stated to break the awkward silence that had descended as Steve and Danny stared.
Deanna stared as well, having regained some of her composure on the car ride to the secure location, but she'd fallen into confusion after being addressed by the prim and proper little woman with her tea set and conversation companion still in his Kevlar vest.
"Gentlemen, I'll take it from here," Hetty added as she stood and one of the monitors in the boat house flashed to life.
"Sorry to interrupt but we think we may have another lead." Eric stated when all eyes turned toward the monitor. "Callen and Sam are asking for all the back up they can get at the residence of Maksim Holick."
"Holick?" Deanna gasped and regretted it instantaneously.
"You know him well?" Hetty asked. "He was the lead on the top secret project you were working on."
Deanna looked to Steve in shock and confusion.
"This is Miss. Henrietta Lange. She knows everything." Steve explained with a slight laugh.
"The Henrietta Lange?" Deanna gasped. "You're a legend."
"Your reputation precedes you Hetty," Danny stated with a playful wink.
"It usually does," Hetty laughed, "now gentlemen, if you don't mind - I'm going to ask you to back up Mr. Hanna and Mr. Callen while Deanna and I try to get to the bottom of this business. Mr. Beals, please debrief the Five-O men en-route. I'd like to get this business cleared up as soon as possible, with as little mess as we can manage." Hetty instructed trying to keep the severity of the situation out of her voice for Deanna's sake.
"Will do!" Eric stated and the monitor went blank again - but Steve, Danny and Chin continued to hear his voice through their earwigs.
"Care for a cup of tea, dear?" Hetty asked and motioned for Deanna to have a seat on the sofa. "I'd like for us to have a little chat."
"You'll be fine," Steve stated as Deanna looked to him once more for clarification. "We've got to run, but you're in perfectly capable hands here with Hetty," he added and lead his people out of the boat house.

"Have you seen anyone coming or going?" Sam and Callen heard in their ears as the last of their eight person crew joined the frequency.
"There is movement in the house but no one has come out, and the little old lady on the block with her dog is getting really suspicious." Callen answered. "Whose dog needs a three and a half hour walk around the cul-de-sac?"
"Don't trust the little old ladies!" Kono warned. "Trust me. If you're suspicious we should remove her from the equation. I'm speaking from experience here. They aren't all sweet and innocent!"
"All right Kono, take Deeks, act all lovey on a stroll with your new hubby and when you get a chance, nab the lady and her little dog too!" Callen stated.
"Who are you, the wicked witch of the west?" Sam mocked.
Within moments Deeks and Kono, dressed in street cloths and hanging off each other arrived on the scene. They pointed at lovely houses, stopped to smell the roses that boomed and generally seem to be enjoying each other's company – all the while Kono could be heard over the ear wigs warning Deeks to watch where he was putting his hands or she'd break them.
"Danny, how are you feeling about this?" Callen asked which gained him a side ways look from Sam and a grumbled from Steve.
"I've been feeling badly about this whole thing from the very beginning," Danny answered, "Steve and I are in the ally behind the house. One of the vans from the service fleet is tarpped and partially concealed in the back."
"Eric couldn't tell what it was - on satellite imagery - but he's been monitoring it. Nothing has happened with it from his point of view. Have you seen anything?" Callen asked.
"If nothing is happening with it, why is it moving like it's full of some over active lovers? If the van's a rockin..." Danny didn't finish his statement.
Callen and Sam exchanged looks of concern.
"Old lady and yappy hound are in custody!" Deeps stated after he and Kono had disappeared around a corner and the old lady had followed them suspiciously.
"She seems to have known you were cops!" Kono added with a laugh.
"Did she tell anyone? Is she bugged?" Callen asked.
"Kono pulled a recording device off her, but nothing else." Deeks answered. "And the dog is clean - though he bites."
"We'd better make our move soon. If she was the look out someone's bound to notice she's off the street." Kensi stated.
"If they were watching her then they've been watching you." Chin added.
"All right, let's make this move. Kensi and Chin, take the back. Steve and Danny, you're on the van and cover for Kensi and Chin. Sam and I will take the front with Kono and Deeks covering us." Callen explained.
"This is what I live for!" Kono stated.
"Don't get too excited," Danny warned.
"Oh come on Danno. This is what we're here for!" Steve stated and got out of the car and waited for the signal to go.
"No it's not! We were here to be informants! Not to go running into some crazy - rogue - naval officers plan for world fuckin domination!" Danny stated angrily.
"Calm down, D. We've done this before. It's not our first rodeo." Sam stated with half a chuckle.
Danny shook his head and fell in behind Steve.
"Is everyone ready?" Callen asked as he waited a beat and heard the affirmative from all seven voices as he and Sam got out of their car and moved up the street toward the house. "All right, on my count. Three. Two. One. Move out!"
