AN: 10 years after the first chapter I stumbled upon this and boy - was my English bad back then.
So I decided to revise this thing and add a short ending to it. Thanks to everyone who read it despite the grammatical errors and typos and special thanks to my beta readers back then.
And now - enjoy.

"I can't believe they still perform this every year," Tristin mused as they took their seats in the Chilton auditorium.

"It's a classic," Rory supplied with a shrug.

"Another reason to stop slaughtering it over and over again," Luke cringed, causing the group to chuckle.

"Oh come on, there've been some memorable performances on that stage," Lorelai giggled.

"Historic, even," Tristin grinned, playing along while Rory just rolled her eyes at them.

"Did you know that one particular year there was the first girl on girl liplock performed on the stage of a private school in this state?" Lorelai went on enthusiastically.

"I heard about that one."

"I tell you, it was epic."

"I wished could've been there."

"Well, it would've never happened if you'd actually been there," Rory remarked pointedly.

"You're never going to let me live that down, are you?"

Rory shook her head.

"Never."

She turned to her Mom as the students entered the stage.

"The costumes turned out beautifully, Mom."

"Yeah, you did a really great job on them, Lorelai," Tristin agreed.

"Shhhsh, there she is," Luke shushed as his granddaughter made her entrance.

"She's looking exactly the way you did, Mary," Tristin whispered into Rory's ear, causing her to blush.

"Though she's at least twice as confident as I had been at her age," Rory whispered back at him, squeezing his hand. "Must be her father's influence." Tristin beamed at her pruoudly.

"I just hope her Romeo does not leave her hanging. Something like that could haunt her for the rest of her life," he joked unable to stop himself. Rory rolled her eyes at him.

"Ha. Ha. You're funny."

"I'm hilarious."

"If you say so," Rory answered mockingly and Tristan responded by pressing a kiss against her temple.

"I love you, Mrs. Dugrey."

"I love you, too."

The end.
