Author's Note: Hello everyone. Here's an update. I apologize profusely for neglecting Leah Rose. I have to do better than this. Just a fluffy little update that I hope you guys enjoy.

Thank your for reading. Reviews are hugs!

Leah Rose Desai was blossoming and becoming more beautiful every day. She was now 3 months old and Lacey figured it was time to take her to her old job and show her to her former coworkers. It wasn't as cold outside anymore and less flu and cold germs were flying around. She didn't want a repeat of Leah getting sick again. That wasn't fun and scared the living hell out of her and Danny. Especially Danny. The way he just didn't want to let her out of his sight and kept checking on her really touched Lacey. She loved how attentive and how good a father he was. She couldn't think of a better man to be her husband and the father of her child. He was a good and attentive father before Leah was even born, and he just became great once she was finally here.

Lacey dressed Leah in the cutest leopard print outfit. It had leopard print leggings with a white top and leopard print trim. Leah's wardrobe was more extensive than her mother's. She had so many pretty clothes, that she really could use another closet. Lacey always had a great fashion sense and that transferred to her buying things for her daughter. That's one of the main reasons that she wanted a girl; to be able to dress her up. Leah was a beautiful baby and everyone always told Lacey and Danny so. She truly looked like a doll baby. She was so pretty that she didn't look real.

Lacey got everything she needed and headed out to her car with her bouncing bundle of joy in tow. Lacey was dressed to compliment what Leah was wearing in dark blue jeans, brown tunic and knee boots, with a leopard print scarf to match her baby girl. She was happy to go to her job and show her baby off. She remembered how many pats and rubs she got to her belly when she was pregnant and people telling her they couldn't wait to meet the baby. Now she was ready to do that and see the people she worked with for years. She really did miss working and her coworkers, but nothing beat being able to see Leah grow every day. She wouldn't trade it for the world. She was extremely thankful for Danny because she knew of women who had to return after six weeks and how hard it was for them to leave their babies. She couldn't imagine dropping Leah off to a day care and not seeing her all day. She loved Danny even more for supporting and wanting her to stay home and raise their baby. She didn't want to miss a thing and she recorded and photographed so many things so that Danny wouldn't miss anything either. Even he hated leaving Leah, but he couldn't sit home. They could afford it, but he wanted to provide for his wife and daughter. That's what men did.

Lacey made the drive she hadn't made in months and felt a little nostalgic. She had no plans to go back to work, but she still felt that way. She now had the best job in the world. It didn't pay a dime, but she felt like the richest woman in the world to spend time with her first-born daughter. Leah changed everyday and she wasn't missing anything. She thought of how devastated she'd be if she missed Leah's first words, her crawling, and taking her first step. It was still a possibility, but she doubted it. She spent all her time with Leah and had no complaints about that. They spent a lot of time indoors because of the weather. Lacey just couldn't wait until it got warm and she could really take Leah out to things like the park and the zoo. She was excited about the day she could take her to the stable and they could meet the horse and pony that Danny bought for them. Lacey still couldn't get over Danny buying her a horse and Leah a pony. Lacey loved to ride and she couldn't wait to get Leah on a saddle and learn to love it too. She might not like it like her mother does, but Lacey hoped she did. Danny was right, what little girl didn't want a pony? She wanted a pony herself when she was younger. Then she met Regina and they shared the love for it and she was always going to ride with Regina. She stopped after Regina died, but picked it back up when she was lonely and needed non judgemental friends. That was around the time Danny was going through his own hell and couldn't tell her. She found a friend in Charlie, but he turned out to be just a little bit crazy.

She pulled up into the parking garage that she parked her car in hundreds of times. She got out the stroller that was a godsend. It was the 4moms Origami stroller that folded itself at the push of a button. It also had a charger for her phone. It was lightweight and easy for her to use when she had to go out by herself. She was becoming a pro at the mom thing. She loved being a mother more than she could say. Leah was the absolute best thing that ever happened to her. She put Leah into the stroller and grabbed the matching leopard print diaper bag and walked in. She was immediately greeted with people wanting to see her. She saw her really close work buddy Tracy and she ran up to the stroller. They got along so well because their names were so similar.

"Lacey! You brought the baby!" Tracy says as she makes her way over. She peeked into the stroller and gasped. "Oh my word. Lacey, she's gorgeous! I've never seen a baby that was prettier. Can I hold her?" She exclaims in excitement.

"Thank you. Yes. Of course you can hold her." Lacey says as she takes Leah out and hands her to Tracy.

Tracy pulled her close and kissed her cheek. "You are so beautiful, Leah. You really look like your name." Tracy says as she rocks Leah and she smiles. "How is it going being a mother?" She asks Lacey, but doesn't take her eyes off Leah.

"It's wonderful. I love being a mother. It's the best feeling in the world." Lacey says and Leah turned her head in the direction of Lacey's voice.

A few more people walk up and they all gush over Leah. Another one of Lacey's work friends walks up. "Ready to come back to work yet?" Riley asks.

Lacey smiled widely. "Nope. I'm enjoying my time with her." She says happily as people continue to walk up to Lacey and get a good look at Leah.

"It's weird that she looks like your husband, but I also see you. And look at all this hair! I've never seen this much hair on a baby before. She definitely gets that from him." Tracy says and the women laugh.

"She looks like my baby pictures, but all I see is him when I look at her." Lacey admits.

"She just looks like a doll baby. She doesn't even look real. I know you are enjoying this." Riley says.

"Yes. I love being able to spend time with her. I've never been happier in my life. Danny and I are happy to be parents. It's a lot of hard work, but it's also fun." Lacey confesses.

"Is she sleeping all night yet?" Tracy asks.

"No, not yet. She sleeps about 5 or 6 hours now. When we first brought her home, she woke up every 2 hours. I had never been that tired in my life. Danny and I were like zombies." Lacey says and they laugh.

"I remember those days. Tristan drove Andy and I crazy." Riley says, referring to her 4-year-old son. "We knew what we were doing by the time Kaden came along."

"Do you want any more?" Tracy asks.

"Yes. But not right now. I want to enjoy her being a baby. I hope we get a boy this time for me." Lacey admits and laughs.

"Daddy's girl?" Riley asks.

"Yes. She is the ultimate Daddy's girl. She was one before she was born. She moved and kicked when he came near me, talked, or touched my belly. He calls to talk to her every day and she smiles at the phone. She loves her Daddy. He is the greatest father ever. It's amazing seeing how he's changed since she's been born. He made me fall in love with him all over again." Lacey says and smiles.

"Awww, that's really great. We miss you but you have a better job now." Tracy says.

"I can see why she's a Daddy's girl. She looks just like him. I know he loves that." Riley states as she continues to eye the gorgeous baby.

"Yes, he loves that. He calls her his little princess. She has him wrapped around her finger. He would do anything for her. She responds really well to him too. Sometimes if he just tells her to do something, she does it. Like if he tells her to stay sleep for us, she will. It's amazing. I think it comes from him talking to her when I was pregnant."

"Where did you get this outfit? It's so cute." Riley says.

"I can't even tell you that. I bought so many clothes. So did my sister, mother and mother in law. Leah has so many clothes, I could open up a boutique." Lacey admits and they all laugh.

"How was your labor? Horrible, right?" Riley asks.

"Horrible isn't even the word. You can't even describe it to somebody. I told my sister that it felt like someone was slowly cutting me in half." Lacey says.

"That's a great way of putting it. I thought if felt like I had something alive in my belly that was clawing its way out." Riley says and Tracy looks horrified.

"You have the same look my husband and sister had. She said she's never having a baby, but she changed that tune after Leah was born. I told him that he was never getting me pregnant again, but I've changed my mind. The pain was worth it, but I don't really remember what it felt like." Lacey admits.

"You do forget. That's how you're able to do it again. We're trying for one more. I'd better get my girl this time." Riley says and they all laugh.

"I hope I get my boy next time." Lacey says.

"Just know that he's going to pee in your face. I had two boys. I know." Riley says and the women cackle in laughter.

Danny was sitting at work completing a conference call when there was a knock at his office door. He got up to get it and was ecstatic to see Lacey and Leah. Lacey had a huge grin on her face and Leah was in the stroller. He saw a few of his colleagues looking on and he thought it would be a great time to show off his pride and joy. "What are you doing here?" Danny asks in surprise as he leans forward to kiss Lacey. He leaned down to kiss Leah on the cheek. "Hi princess." He says and Leah smiled at his voice and smell. She knew her Daddy well.

"Since I stopped past my old job to show off our baby, I decided to come by here and surprise you. Now you can show your little princess off." Lacey says and smiles.

"I'm glad you decided to surprise me. I missed my girls." Danny says as he bends down and takes Leah from the stroller. He kissed her dimpled cheek again. "Is Daddy's princess ready to meet my coworkers?" He asks and Leah smiled at hearing his voice again. She started to move her head some. She was now able to hold her head up on her own. Danny just smiled looking at his little angel.

"I guess that was a yes." Lacey says and grins. She snapped a quick picture of Danny and Leah right before he walked out of his office door. She followed right behind him with the stroller.

Danny walked down the hallway and stopped at a huge office. He and Lacey saw a few women in there. They all hopped up from their desks and ran over to Danny. "Look who came by for a visit." He says happily.

"Oh! You brought the baby by! I've been dying to see her in person." An older heavy-set Black woman named Beverly says.

"We've all been dying to see her." Another woman named Enid says.

A man walks by and stops to look at Danny and his family. He smiled and patted Danny on his back as Beverly took Leah from Danny. "You'd better get your gun ready now." He says and he and Danny laugh.

"That's the same thing the nurse at the hospital said right after she was born." Danny says.

"We're both right. Congratulations, man." He says and pats Danny's back again.

"Thanks Jay." Danny says.

"This is the prettiest baby I've ever seen. Don't tell my children I said that." Enid says and they all laugh.

"She really is. She looks just like you, Danny. She even has your hair." Beverly says and she rocks Leah a little. Leah reached for her glasses and pulled them off.

"Thank you." Danny says happily.

"That's why she's such a Daddy's girl." Lacey says.

"I knew she'd be a Daddy's girl the way Danny talked while you were pregnant." Beverly says.

"Me too. I wouldn't have it any other way." Lacey states in a cheerful tone.

"My turn." Enid says and Beverly hands Leah to her. "I just love her little outfit. I see you two are matching."

"Yup. I couldn't resist." Lacey says.

"I know you're having a ball with her. She's so precious." Beverly says as she looks back at Leah after adjusting her glasses.

"I am. I love being a mom. It's awesome." Lacey says.

"It is. I remember when my kids were babies. I had so much fun with them. This is the best time because they change every day. Pretty soon she's going to be running around and you're going to wonder where the time went. Then you'll want another one. I ended up with 4." Beverly says.

"I'm just happy so see every moment. I'm so glad she doesn't have to go to day care and then I'll miss seeing her grow up." Lacey says.

"It's good that you're able to stay home with her. She's so adorable, I wouldn't want to leave her. Can I take her home with me?" Enid asks and everyone laughs.

"Sorry, Enid. You can't steal my little princess." Danny says happily.

"I thought I'd try." She says and smiles.

"You sound like my sister. She tried to steal her right after she was born." Lacey says.

"I don't blame her. How can you not want to steal this precious baby?" Enid asks.

"You guys make a really beautiful family." Beverly says.

"Thanks." Danny and Lacey say in unison.

"You guys really picked the perfect name for her. She really does look like a Leah Rose." Enid says.

"She really does. We first decided on Jasmine and she didn't kick when we said it. As soon as she was born and I looked at her, I just thought she looked like a Leah Rose." Lacey says.

"Jasmine is a very pretty name, but it doesn't fit her." Beverly says. "Well, I hate to leave, but I have to get back to work." She says and smiles at the beautiful baby again.

"Me too." Enid says as she hands Leah back to Danny. "Bye, pretty baby." She says and waves and walks away. Leah has several more people fawn over her that she starts to get restless. She started on her mission of wailing to get people out of her face. Danny and Lacey had to end their daughter visiting with his colleagues early and returned to Danny's office. Lacey fed and changed her and Leah quickly went to sleep.

"Now that she's sleep, I don't want to move her." Lacey says as he sits down in the chair in front of Danny's desk.

"You don't have to leave just yet. No one cares that you're still here." He says.

"Are you sure? I don't want to get you into hot water with your boss." Lacey says.

"He won't be my boss any more if he has a problem with my wife and daughter sitting in my office." Danny says truthfully.

"Ok. Well, I'll just sit here quietly while you get back to work." Lacey says and smiles.

Danny gets up from his seat. "You know, we could fool around while Leah is still sleep." He says as he grabs her hand and gives her that look. He pulled her into his arms and hugged her.

"No, Danny. We're not going to fool around in here. Are you crazy?" Lacey asks.

"We've fooled around in here before." Danny reminds her.

"We didn't have our baby sitting here then though." Lacey says and smiles at him.

"So? She's sleep. She doesn't know what's going on. She doesn't even know what fooling around is. We fooled around while you were pregnant with her." Danny says all of that to get his way.

"Are you trying to guilt trip me, Daniel Desai?" Lacey asks in a taunting tone.

"No, I'm not trying to guilt trip you, Lacey Desai." Danny says and blinks at her rapidly.

He's giving her that look that she can't resist. She doesn't feel weird about fooling around with Danny in his office at all. She quickly reflects on all the times and places that she and Danny fooled around and got heated thinking about it. Lacey leaned forward and started to kiss him while she reached for his belt. She was starting to unbuckle it when there was a knock at Danny's office door. They just stopped and looked at each other. Then Leah started to cry. They were used to their sexual conquests being interrupted since they became parents. "I guess we'll have to wait until later." She says as she walks over to Leah while Danny adjusted himself and walked over to the door.

The same guy from before named Jay walked in and immediately started talking. He stopped when he saw Lacey. "Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt." He says with a sly grin on his face. He got the feeling that he really did intrude on something.

"It's ok, Jay." Danny says and smiles. Lacey knew that he was upset, but that's only because she knew her husband like she knew herself.

"I'm gonna head home." Lacey says as she grabs her purse and the diaper bag. She walked up to Danny and gave him a kiss. "See you later, honey. Say, Bye Daddy."

Danny's face lights up at that and he walks over to give Leah a kiss on her cheek. "Bye, princess. Daddy loves you." He says and kisses her cheek again.

Lacey smiled and grabbed the stroller and walked out of the office. She got on the elevator and made her way to the lobby. She put on her jacket and was attempting to bundle Leah up to head outside when she had a blast from the past.
