All Riders Combine

"After it!" Will shouted as he and James rounded a corner, running, belts in hand.

"Why isn't it standing to fight?" James muttered, "Why does it run?"

"It's a trap," Will said.

"Well, of course," James said, slowing and stopping as he put his belt on, "And it expects us to be without our armor when the trap is sprung."

Will stopped and looked back as cyan light flashed around. James walked forward in his armor and lifted his blaster, opening fire.

Will and James watched as the monster took the shots to the back and fell, exploding.

"That solves that," James said, undoing his transformation.

Will nodded and clasped James on the shoulder, "Good shot."

"It's the only type of shot I give," James said.

"We should get back on the road," Will said, "Harper's Coast is still a few days away."

James nodded, "I don't like this, though."

"What?"

"The monster just appeared and distracted us. It ran into the road, goaded us into a chase, and then goes down this easily."

"You think this is part of the trap?" Will asked.

"No. I'm thinking there was no real trap. I think the monster just wants us in this town."

"And why would it do that?" Will asked.

James shrugged, "I say we stick around and find out. If the Dynasty wants something here, then let's put a stop to it."

Will nodded, "I'll go tell Mina."

Will walked towards the motorcycle. He rounded the corner and heard Mina talking and laughing with someone. Will hurried over, seeing a man in a black suit standing there, talking to Mina.

"Drake?" Will questioned.

Drake looked up and gave Will a smile, "Yeah. Been a while, hasn't it?"

"It has," Will said, "How are things at Rose Valley?"

"Orderly," he said, "We restored order. I must thank you for that."

"Are Glasswalkers still abandoning you for the Dynasty?" Will asked.

"No longer," Drake said, "I've…become far stricter to ensure it doesn't happen."

"And they obey?" Will asked.

"I'm their King. I've fully embraced that role," he told Will.

"How's that working for you?" Will asked.

"Better than ever before," Drake said. He looked back at Mina, "So, why are you two here anyway?"

"We're on our way back home," Mina said, "But a monster was sighted and Will ran off after it."

"James ran first," Will said.

"Of course," Drake said.

"What's that mean?" Mina asked.

"It's what I expect of him," Drake responded.

"You never met him," Will said, "We met him later."

"I'm not in this city on my own," Drake said, "Ryan told me about him. As did Tyler."

"They're here too?" Will asked.

"As is Rob," Drake said, "The four of us."

"Why?" Mina asked, "Where are we, for that matter?"

"This is Ken's Bluff," Drake said, "There's a bluff a few miles east, it's beautiful when the sun sets."

"I can't see you being here for romance," Will said.

"Far from it," he responded, "The four of us are here on a mission."

"What sort of mission?" Will asked.

Drake held his hand out, "Please, walk with me. We could use your help."

"I'll find James," Mina said, walking the other way as Drake and Will walked on.

"Do you think James will be willing to help?" Drake asked.

"I'm sure," Will said, "Especially if he gets to attack the Dynasty. Now, what is it?"

"The Dynasty has a very important person located here," Drake said, "If we can stop him, we can affect their plans drastically."

"What do you mean by 'stop him'?" Will asked, "Is he a human? A monster?"

"We're going to destroy him," Drake said, "He's an enemy Power Rider, and a very dangerous one."

"That's why there's four of you here?" Will asked.

Drake nodded, "Yes. And there may be backup, we aren't certain, but we know that together we'll be enough to destroy him."

"Who is he?" Will asked, "I've seen various enemy Power Riders in my travels."

"You've met this one," Drake said, stopping.

Will turned around to face him, "Who, then?"

"You."

Drake threw his hand up, grabbing a red bat that flew to him. A belt appeared around his waist, so he thrust the bat towards it.

"Power Ride!"

[Decade 20. 19:48-19:52]

In a glass-like effect, his armor appeared in a shattering form. It wasn't Fang, it was red and black, with glowing green eyes, and carried more regality to it.

He drew his cape up and cast it back.

Will had his belt in hand, "Ok, I get it. The Dynasty managed to brainwash you or something. I'll free you, Drake!"

He looked behind Drake, seeing the figures of Ryan, Rob and Tyler walking towards the two of them.

"Not them too…"

"Us too," Rob said, lifting a black Advent Deck.

"We're going to crush you," Ryan said, lifting a black beetle.

"This is it," Tyler told him, lifting a black and gold phone.

"Power Ride!" the three shouted.

[Decade 20. 20:03-20:04]

Rob stood as a black version of Dragon Knight; Onyx, a Rider Will had encountered before.

Ryan stood as a black armored Beet, but with yellow eyes and a dark yellow chest.

Tyler's armor was completely different, with a tailcoat, gold lining, and red details on his black body.

Drake threw his arms out, "Prepare to be destroyed, Will."

"What are you four?" Will demanded as he loaded his belt onto his waist.

"Power Rider Count," Drake said.

"Power Rider Onyx," Rob said.

"Power Rider Shadow Beet," Ryan said.

"Power Rider Omega," Tyler said.

"I'll destroy those belts and bring all of you back!" Will shouted, "I've fought with each of you, by your sides, and we've won battles. We've become friends, we've become allies…I won't see you be used by the Dynasty!"

He lifted his card, "Power Ride!" he shouted, slashing it through his belt.

Magenta light shone around him as the card-like projections appeared and came to him.

[Decade 20. 20:15-20:37]

His armor appeared and took color.

Drake drew his arm up, "It'll do you no good."

Will fought all of them, turning between opponents from time to time.

"This isn't going to be easy," Will muttered as they stood around him. Ryan rushed him again, followed by the others, while Drake kept back.

Will fought all of them, moving around until Drake fought back, grabbing Will.

"This is too easy!" Drake shouted as Will stumbled back a bit.

He dodged the next blow, "James!"

James and Mina were running over, James already had his belt on and card in hand.

"Keep back, Mina," James said, "Power Ride!"

Mina moved back, "Why is this happening?" she muttered.

[Decade 20. 20:54-22:44]

As the Ender armor took color, he lifted his blaster and fired, striking Omega and Onyx in the back. He leapt into the fight and fought those two.

Will continued to fight Ryan and used his sword. The two Riders kept switching opponents while Drake mostly stayed out, throwing in the occasional blow at Will.

James sped up, striking Ryan and Rob a few times while Will fought the other two, taking a slash into Tyler before being slashed by Tyler. Their blades were locked as Drake made his move, kicking Will back.

Will rolled and drew a card, looking at all of them he had. He chose Dragon Knight and slotted it.

"Power Ride! Dragon Knight!"

His armor changed as he slashed at Onyx, forcing him back. The two shouted and parried until Will was attacked by Drake as well.

Will took Rob down and focused on the other Rider.

"Do you think changing forms will help you? You're done for, either way."

Will shouted and attacked Drake, who dodged. And returned some blows, knocking Will back.

James focused on the other three, using his speed to get the better of them.

Will and Drake shouted and punched each other, knocking each other back. Will returned to Legacy form.

"This is it!" Drake shouted, throwing his arms out.

"Agreed," Will said, holding up a card. He swiped it.

"Legacy Kick"

The cards appeared as Will leapt up and kicked through them, but the cards turned black, and soon, Will fell to the ground, all of his cards falling around him, losing their images.

"Bye for now," Drake said, walking away.

Will came up a bit and watched as the cards became blank.

He picked them up, "No…" His armor grayed.

Will returned to normal form.

James and Mina ran over, with James in his human form.

"Will!" they called.

He held up the blank cards, "They're…they're gone…"

James and Mina both picked one up, "How could Drake do this? What sort of power was he given?" James hissed.

"I…I don't feel anything from these," Mina said, "I could feel power in the past, but now…now it's nothing…"

Will shouted and slammed his fist into the ground.

"You were supposed to destroy him," the Dynasty man told Drake.

"I thought this was better," Drake told him, "Let him wallow in defeat and despair. If I'd destroyed him and taken the belt, there was always the potential for someone to get their hands on it again. We couldn't have that, now could we? This way, the belt is worthless."

"How did you even gain power like that?" the man questioned, "It wasn't from Apollo, nor myself."

Drake smiled, "You'd be surprised what Count can do. All of that raw power, all of the power of the Glasswalkers…" His face flashed stained glass briefly.

"You were made as a clone of a human," the man hissed, "How did you gain Glasswalker powers?"

"I found a way," Drake laughed.

The man lifted a deck, "Don't make me discipline you. You are my creation! You are part of my work for the Dynasty!"

Drake laughed, "I know, I know. But it worked out; Will Scheffer is useless now, that was the plan all along."

"The other Rider is still there," the man said.

"Ender is useless," Tyler said, "Will was the threat because of his cards, because of his training. Yes, James is formidable, but he lacks the powers to transform like that."

"Should you want him destroyed, we'll see to it," Ryan said.

"Along with the psychic girl," Rob said, "Or is she more useful captured?"

"Capture her," he told Rob, "Her powers may be of great use to us, especially with the Armlets…"

"What do we do then?" Mina asked as the three sat at a picnic table in the park.

"I don't know," Will said, looking at the blank cards, "I can't transform anymore…"

"Then I'll do the fighting," James said, "I can summon my Rider clones. We'll defeat those four."

"You were doing well on your own," Mina told him.

"You didn't fight Drake," Will said, "He corrupted my cards. Imagine what he can do to you."

"The same, I imagine," James said, "But I'm faster. I'll put him down before he gets the chance."

"But if we lose you, then what?" Mina asked.

"Then we're out of luck, unless we can call another Rider in to help."

Will threw his belt aside. The other two looked at him.

"It's not going to work," he hissed, "James can't defeat the Dynasty on his own. I need to help; I need to fight at his side. I went on this journey to become stronger, and I have. I've trained, I've grown, I've gained the powers of the other Riders! He can't do this alone!"

"I might have to," James said, "Until we can restore your cards, somehow."

"We can't restore them," Will told him, "Mina already said there's no power in them. They're just cards now, worthless cards…"

"You don't get like this," Mina told Will.

"I've never been so defeated like this before," Will told her.

"You won't quit now," she told him, "You'll fight, and you'll keep fighting."

"I have nothing I can fight with!" he told her.

"We'll find a way," she said, "We always find a way."

"Every other time we've found a way, it's been because there have been other Riders to help us. We've never been this lost…"

"Let me be the Rider who helps you here," James said.

"What?" Will asked.

"I'll help you. I'll find the way."

"I don't think you can," Will told him.

"I'll always find a way," James told him, putting his hand on Will's shoulder. He got up from his seat, "Now, just believe in me, like you've believed in the other Riders. Put your trust in me, and I'll return it with something good."

James walked away, then hurried and started to run.

"Where do you think he's going?" Will asked Mina.

"I couldn't even guess," she said softly.

"You don't think he's going after those Riders?" Will asked.

She shook her head, "No. I don't think he's that foolish…"

James snuck around a corner and then hid just behind another wall. He glanced up the staircase, but there was nobody, so he hurried up. He exited on the next floor and crouched down under a window. He took a quick glance inside, and then rose to his feet and opened the door.

The man turned to him, picking something up from the table, "James Anders…"

"Oh, you know me," James said, "That's wonderful, because I know you too."

"You do?" the man questioned.

"You're a man whose experiments helped ruined my city," James said, walking towards him, "It's because of people like you that I'm on this mission to destroy the Dynasty. I should thank you for spurring me on to do something. But that's not why I'm here." "You're here for the Legacy Belt," the man said.

James nodded, "I have to say, I'm not surprised to see you behind this. What's your name, anyway? I've never known, and I need a name to attach to your face."

"Doctor Herbert Newman," he responded.

"Doctor Newman," James said, "Well, tell me, how do I fix Will's belt?"

"You don't," Newman responded, lifting a deck.

"You're a Rider too?" James questioned.

"Yes."

"And did you create those powers for those four? Steal them from others? Or…?"

"They're clones, but their powers are stolen," Newman said, "This is the pinnacle of my science!"

James lifted his belt, "Well, I'm going to take you down, then I'm going to take down the pinnacle."

"Let me ask you something," Newman said, "How did you find me?"

"I figured city hall was a good place to start," James said, "When I saw nobody around inside, I figured that was strange. And then I see you up here, and it confirms things for me."

"Ah," Newman said, "Well, now we know for next time."

The door opened behind the two of them and Drake stepped inside.

"Drake, help me destroy this man," Newman said.

"Very well…" He lifted his hand, taking the red bat. "Power Ride!" He slammed it into his belt and transformed in a shattered glass-like flash.

"Power Ride," Newman said, sliding the deck into his belt. He appeared in a black armored form with a silver gauntlet on his arm.

"My turn then," James said as he lifted his card, "Power…"

"No," Drake said, moving past James and grabbing Newman. He pulled, Newman shouted as he was dragged.

[Decade 21. 9:28-9:37]

Newman shouted and rolled as Drake walked after him outside.

"I created you!" Newman shouted, punching, but Drake blocked him and struck him a few times.

Newman shouted and attacked again, but Drake punched him. "You're done, Doctor," Drake said, punching him once more.

Newman fell to the ground, his belt and deck lying at his side as Power Rider Count stood over him. He crouched, "Now, what were you saying about me being a Glasswalker?" He removed the bat from his belt and reached over towards Newman's neck. The bat bit him and Newman let out a cry. Stained glass markings appeared on his face, then faded.

Drake rose to his feet, "Now you're one of my subjects. Obey your King." He walked past, leaving Newman lying there.

Shortly after, James ran over and crouched at Newman's side, "You lost control," he told Newman, "Now, how do I help Will?"

Newman groaned and drew something out of his lab coat, passing it to James, "With this…"

James looked at the small device, "What is it?"

He looked back, but Newman and his gear were gone.

"You're not the type to give up," Mina told Will.

"I know, but I can't do anything," Will told her, "I fought because I had the power to fight. I had the power to protect people, and I couldn't stomach watching the Dynasty enslave or hurt anyone else! I had the power to stop it. But now? Now I'm just a man, and I can't do anything."

"You're anything but," Mina told him, "You're not just a man. You're a Power Rider, a warrior. A hero."

"I was," Will said, "I can only be a hero with the armor."

"What would the other Riders say if they heard you saying that?" she questioned.

"They'd probably understand," he said, "They'd probably feel the same way."

"I don't think so," she said, "I think they'd tell you never to give up hope."

"Hope is something that's hard to come by," he said, "I lost my hope when we lost our home. It's waiting to be reclaimed, but I don't have the ability to reclaim it anymore."

"You can still make a difference," she told him, "Together, the three of us can do it. Let James and I be your hope. We'll find a way to help you."

"I've found a way," James said as he approached the two of them, holding the device in hand.

"What is that?" Mina asked.

"I don't know," he responded, "The guy behind this cloning project had it. Drake defeated him and he gave it to me. I think he wants us to stop his clones."

"You can fight again with this!" Mina told Will.

Will looked at it and pushed James' hand away, "No."

"What?" James questioned.

"No," Will repeated, "I don't need it."

"You can fight again with it!" James told him.

"Maybe I'm not meant to fight. Maybe this is as far as my journey is meant to take me."

"Stop talking like that," James told him, "You have to keep going! We all do! You have your home to save, and I have mine. We have to keep going!"

Mina walked over to where Will had thrown his belt and picked it back up. She walked towards him and held it out, "Please, Will…"

Will looked at his belt, and then at the device.

"You're not getting an option," the voice of Tyler told him.

Will turned and the other two looked behind him to see Tyler walking forward, "I'm going to enjoy this…"

James stepped forward and loaded his belt onto his waist, "Run."

Mina grabbed Will and pulled him with her.

"I don't care about you!" Tyler shouted, running forward. He kicked James back and grabbed him, throwing him into a tree. He broke into a run after Will and Mina.

As the two kept running they came into a construction zone. Drake stood ahead of them, throwing his arms to the side, "Welcome!"

The two stopped, "Drake…," Will muttered.

"I'm shocked you call me that," he told Will, "I mean, I am just a clone. Or am I? Will I be if I destroy the original? Then I'll be the true King!"

Will walked towards him, "Drake wasn't necessarily a good person when I met him, but he became better. He became a good man, and someone who cared for his people. You're an insult to his name!"

"Soon to be my own name," Drake said.

Will stood a little in front of Drake, "All of you are nothing but imitations of parts of these people that don't exist. They have no evil intentions, they have no darkness."

"Are you saying that you have no darkness then?" Drake asked, "That Riders are incapable of having darkness? What about the Riders you fought who are in the employ of the Dynasty?"

"They aren't true Riders then," Will said.

"And what about you?" Drake asked.

"I'm a true Rider."

"Then why not take the device?"

"Maybe I will now," Will said.

He turned and walked away from Drake, who held his hand out, "I can't let you regain your powers. I was content just letting you go, but if you're trying to regain them, then I'll destroy you."

Will stopped and turned as Drake walked forward.

"Power Ride."

He transformed into Count and ran for Will, throwing two quick punches. Will narrowly avoided them and kicked Count back.

"I'll stop you," Will told him.

"No. No you won't!" Drake shouted, throwing a punch, but Will rolled to avoid it. He got up and punched Drake in the chest, knocking him back. "Your resolve isn't enough…"

"It may not be," Will said, "But I'll still find a way to stop you."

"Will!" James shouted. He came to a stop and loaded his belt. In one hand he held the device, "I'll hold him back!" He swiped his card, "Power Ride!"

[Decade 21. 17:11-17:12]

His armor and color formed.

Rob, Ryan and Tyler ran and stopped.

"Power Ride!"

They each did their belt motion.

From another side came the Doctor, without his coat. Stained glass images were on his face.

"Power Ride…"

He transformed as well, but remained back.

[Decade 21. 17:23-17:28]

Their armors formed.

"Destroy them all," Drake said.

The thee Riders ran forward, shouting.

[Decade 21. 17:29-17:34]

James shouted and set to avoiding their attacks.

[Decade 21. 17:38-17:40]

James continued to evade until a kick knocked the device from his hand.

"Will!"

As Count made a move for the device on the ground, Mina threw her hand forward, "No!" she shouted.

As soon as Count neared it, he hit an invisible wall and stumbled back. He shouted and punched the wall, but nothing happened.

Will ran and rolled, picking it up.

[Decade 21. 17:46-17:54]

Drake held his arms out, "You can join us, Will! Use that power and rule with us." He clasped his hands and separated them again, "After all, the four of us aren't with the Dynasty anymore." He began to approach.

"I refuse," Will said, "Dynasty or not, you're evil. I won't join with you people! I'll continue on our journey, I'll save our homes, and I'll destroy every evil being I encounter!"

He held up his card which began to glow. It went from blank to activate.

"My powers are back…and with them, I'll destroy all of you! Power Ride!"

There was a magenta flash.

[Decade 21. 18:37-18:41]

He looked at the cards in his armored hand. The images returned, and a new card appeared.

The three Riders whom James had fought approached.

Mina moved back towards James.

"Something's about to happen," she told him.

James nodded, "Come on…," he pulled her away. He lifted his blaster and ran back.

[Decade 21. 18:47-19:05]

As Will approached, Ryan threw a kick. Will blocked and struck back, while avoiding Tyler. He engaged the three while James fought with three blue monsters and the Doctor.

The fighting continued until Rob slashed Will back, and then Tyler, and then Ryan got a kick in.

Will was knocked back by all of them and smashed through some of the pipes.

[Decade 21. 19:06-19:09]

He rolled and groaned as he slowly rose.

[Decade 21. 19:10-19:12]

Will watched the three approach.

Mina crouched by the pipes and picked up the device, "He dropped it…," she rose and threw it, "Will!"

[Decade 21. 19:15-19:50]

Will caught the device and loaded his new card into it, giving the emblems of the Riders. He touched each emblem and each Rider's name was called.

"Legend"

"Grand"

"Dragon Knight"

"Phi"

"Spade"

"Echo"

"Beet"

"Rail"

"Fang"

He touched his own emblem.

"Legacy"

"All Riders Combine" rang out.

He opened his belt and a card appeared, loading on his head. His body shifted and the cards of the Riders appeared on his chest. He twisted his belt, loading the touch device as the new buckle.

Each card shifted and his touch pad flashed.

The three Riders stopped.

Mina moved out of the way, "Will! This is the culmination of our journey! Use this power!"

[Decade 21. 19:53-21:31 (note: edit in lasers)]

James blasted a monster back and looked, "Will…" He turned back and fired on the monsters again.

Will drew his hand up his blade, "Who's first?"

The three shouted and rushed him.

Will blocked and slashed each one in turn, not taking a single hit. He knocked Ryan back and drove his sword into Tyler, stopping him.

He let go of the sword and drew his touchpad out. He touched Dragon Knight.

"Dragon Knight"

He touched the top right button.

"Survive"

He loaded it back onto the belt and avoided Ryan. All of the cards shifted to Dragon Knight, but with a different helmet. Dragon Knight appeared at his side, but in new armor.

"Final Vent"

The black dragon circled Onyx and he floated into the air.

Will slotted a card and hit his belt.

As Onyx flew at him, both Riders slashed. Dragon Knight created fire, while Legacy created energy. Dragon Knight mimicked every move Will made and the attacks blasted through Onyx and the dragon.

As Omega lifted his sword, Will hit another two buttons.

"Phi"

"Surge"

His cards changed and a red version of Phi appeared. As Omega charged his sword, Will slotted a card on his belt.

As Omega shouted and swung his sword, cleaving through pipes, both Riders fired; Phi had a cannon, and Will used his sword to mimic it. Hey blasted through Omega's attack and destroyed him.

"Gate Blast"

James lifted his blaster and fired, destroying the monsters and hitting Doctor Newman.

Ryan hit his belt here times and pushed the horn.

Will had the touchpad again.

"Beet"

"Sonic"

His cards changed and Beet appeared at his side.

Drake remained behind pipes and watched.

As Ryan flipped the horn again and leapt forward, Will hit the side of his belt and both leapt into the air. Their kicks overpowered Ryan and destroyed him while Drake watched.

Newman was lying on the ground as Drake stood over him, "Go," he hissed, "Go and hold them off while I escape. Obey your King!"

"He's not going, nor are you," Will told the Drake copy.

Count turned around, "Fine then…," he hissed, running for Will. Will lifted his sword and ran forward, slashing Drake down the chest. He ducked Drake's punch and turned, slashing him down the side.

Drake shouted and threw a high punch, but Will dodged aside and slashed Drake through his side. He span around and slashed him up the back, causing him to fall forward onto a knee.

"You're done," Will said, loading a card in his belt. He lifted his sword.

"Slash Attack"

Will shouted and slashed Drake down the back. He exploded and was gone.

Will turned, standing amidst the fire. He undid his transformation and hurried towards his two companions.

"It's over," James said, "That's all of them."

"Let's hope no more clones exist," Will said, looking at Newman, who didn't move.

"We don't need to worry about him," James said.

"With this new power, let's go save our home," Mina told Will.

Will nodded, "Yes. To Harper's Coast. Let's go."

The three hurried off.

"Newman failed…his project failed…," Apollo hissed, slamming his fist into the wall, "Fine then. Legacy has become stronger. I'll crush him just the same… You're a fool to return home. I'll show you that…"
