The last chapter of Season 2!! Thank you guys for reviewing, favouriting and following! Let's get straight into it. Disclaimer I don't own The Walking Dead just my ocs and plotlines.
Emma's Pov
Ever since that gunshot rang out, we've all been restless.
"I'm going after them." Andrea mutters and I look to her. She tries to walk to the front door but I block her path.
"No." I object. She glares at me.
"Don't, they could be anywhere." Ashley tells her.
"And if Randall comes back, we're gonna need you here." T informs her and she reluctantly nods.
The door opens and Glenn and Daryl step through, without Rick and Shane. Jamie runs up to Daryl, hugging him. I embrace Daryl as well. Thank God he is ok.
I pull away and smile at him, he smirks back. He looks around the room and notices the missing leader and the ex cop.
"Rick and Shane ain't back?" He asks me and I shake my head.
"No." I answer him.
"We heard a shot." Glenn points out.
"Maybe they found Randall." Lori mutters.
"We found him." Daryl tells us and I sigh in relief.
"Is he back in the shed?" Hershel questions him but Daryl shakes his head.
"He's a walker." He notifies us and we all look to him. He didn't last long out there.
"Did you find the walker that bit him?" Hershel institutes.
"No, the weird thing is he wasn't bit." Glenn tells us and my face scrunches up in confusion.
"His neck was broke." Daryl adds on.
"That's impossible." I mutter and everyone hears me.
"So he fought back." Andrea puts in.
"The thing is, Shane and Randall's tracks were right on top of each other. And Shane ain't no tracker, so he didn't come up behind him. They were together." Daryl points out to us.
"Would you please get back out there, find Rick and Shane and find out what on earth is going on." Lori pleads Daryl and he nods.
"You got it." He mumbles to her.
"Thank you." She breaths out worried for her husband.
He walks out and I follow him. Jamie, Andrea and Glenn following me outside.
"Daryl - I start but he interrupts me.
"You see that?" He points out and I look at where he's looking and see a huge herd of walkers coming to the house. Oh, shit. The others come out and see what we are looking at.
"Patricia, kill the lights." Hershel orders her and she runs into the house.
"I'll get the guns." Andrea tells us and quickly walks into the house.
"Maybe they're just passing, like the herd on the highway. Should we just go inside?" Glenn suggests and I shake my head.
"Not unless there's a tunnel downstairs I don't know about. A herd that size would rip the house down." Daryl declares.
"They've probably seen the house by now." I proclaim.
"Carl's gone." Lori announces when she walks out of the house. What?!
"What?" Daryl voices out. Everyone looks to her shocked.
"He... he was upstairs. I can't find him anymore." Lori breathes out, panicking.
"Maybe he's hiding." Glenn suggests to her but she shakes her head.
"He's supposed to be upstairs. I'm not leaving without my boy." Lori exclaims, crying slightly.
"We're not. We're gonna look again. We're gonna find him." Carol assures her and they run into the house, Sophia and Jamie stay by me.
Andrea walks out the house with a bag of guns. She lays them on the floor and hands out guns, I grab the shotgun off her and sling it on my shoulder. I grab my hand gun out of the bag and check the ammo, I slide the gun in it's holster. I hand a hand gun to Jamie and Sophia. They look hesitant, I see the others looking at me shocked at what I'm doing.
"You'll need it." I assure the kids and they both nod.
Maggie hands Glenn a shotgun.
"Maggie - Glenn starts but Maggie interrupts him.
"You grow up country, you pick up a thing or two." She says, loading the gun. Glenn looks at her surprise clearly written on his face.
"They've got the numbers... it's no use." Daryl informs us. Ashley offers shells to me, I take them and load the gun.
"You can go if you want." Hershel tells him.
"You gonna take 'em all on?" Daryl questions the old farmer.
"We have guns. We have cars." Hershel says confidently, cocking his gun.
Andrea nods in agreement with his silent plan, shoving extra ammo in her pocket. "Kill as many as we can, and we'll use the cars to lead the rest of them off the farm."
"Are you serious?" Daryl questions him, disbelieved.
"This is my farm. I'll die here." Hershel informs him and Daryl nods in acceptance.
"Alright. It's as good night as any." Daryl mutters before hopping over the rail.
Ashley goes with Glenn and Maggie, Jamie looks to me, I nod in understanding. They hop in Shane's car. Daryl hops on the motorcycle starting it up, Jimmy starts the RV and Andrea and T-Dog are in his truck.
They all drive off to try to stop the herd, that's when I notice the barn on fire. Wait... what?
Ashley's Pov
I roll down my window and pop my head out, Jamie is on the closer side to the barn while Glenn is in the passenger side.
"Keep it steady!" Glenn orders Maggie.
"I'm trying!" She calls back.
I shot at a walker, hitting right in the head, and again and again. We keep on driving back and forth, trying to take on as many of them as we can. Jamie hits a few in the head, some in the shoulder and I help finish them off.
I notice the barn on fire. Good thinking Rick, Shane and hopefully Carl, if he's not in the house. It's a great idea. Distract as many walkers as possible, drawing them into the fire and we'll take the rest out.
Maggie swings the car around and I duck back in the vehicle, giving Jamie more room to shoot, without hitting me at the same time. That would be bad.
I watch the RV drive towards the flaming barn. I breathe a sigh in relief when I see it park up and two figures jump on top. Maggie swings around again, this time, me popping my body out. Jesus... this herd is bigger than I thought.
Emma's Pov
I help Hershel take out the walkers that the others missed, Sophia helping us. She is a good shot, a bit off but still good, she can still improve.
"Come on!" Hershel encourages them.
"Emma!" Sophia's voice calls out and I look to her. A walker not far from her. I raise my gun and fire, instantly killing the walker.
"You ok?" I ask her and she nods.
"I'm out of ammo!" She shouts.
"Go back to the house!" I order her and she runs off, meeting up with her mom and Lori who are out on the porch, looking stressed.
I ignore them and continue shooting down the walkers. A few moments later I hear Lori's voice call out.
"Carl?!" Lori shouts out. A few gunshots from behind me, making it known that Lori is giving her help to us.
"Hershel! Emma! Guys! It's time to go!" Lori's voice carries out and I look at Hershel, seeing him ignore her. I need to watch over Hershel, I decide to keep shooting. Ignoring the pleading woman.
It goes silent, apart from the gunshots and the moans of the walkers.
Jamie's Pov
"Where the hell are they going?" Maggie asks and I look behind us seeing the blue truck driving away. "Should I follow them?" She exclaims at Glenn.
"I'd say yes." Glenn agrees and she turns around. "Swing it around. Swing it around here." Glenn tells her, she does as he says and ends up in front of a bunch of walkers.
"Whoa whoa whoa whoa." Ashley calms her down.
"Oh my God." Maggie breathes out in tears, the walkers banging on the car. "I can't get through."
"Head out." I mutter to her and she looks at me through the rear view mirror.
"What?" She snaps at me.
"Get off the farm now." Glenn barks out at her.
"Don't say that." She objects.
"Maggie, it's lost!" He yells at her.
"The others... we can't leave them." She tells him but he shakes his head. A walker jumps on the window and Maggie screams. She quickly reverses away.
"Get off the farm now!" He yells and she drives away. I look back out the window, seeing the farm go smaller in the distance. I can now only hope that Emma, Daryl and the others have got away.
Emma's Pov
We are still shooting, I have to reload soon. No... we need to leave soon, we can't keep going like this. Maggie, Ashley and Beth need their father... alive.
"Come on!" He shouts out. We walk backwards, still shooting. "Come on! Come on!"
I hear the click of his gun and he reloads. I shoot at the walkers, having Hershel's back.
I hear a gunshot behind us and I swing around to see Rick and Carl. Rick who is holding a gun and a dead walker on the floor.
"Where's Lori? Did you see Lori?" Rick questions us.
"I don't know what happened, Rick. They just keep coming. It's like a plague. They're everywhere." Hershel exclaims at our leader but Rick ignores the sentence.
"Lori! Did you see her?" Rick asks again.
"I think she got out." I assure him and he nods gratefully.
"We have to go. Find mom and the others." Rick tells us. He fires a shot. hitting a walker in the head.
"It's my farm!" Hershel objects but Rick drags him.
"Not anymore!" He hisses at him dragging him away. I quickly run after them. Running to the last remaining vehicle there.
"Come on!" Hershel still encourages the walking dead. Rick fires some more shots, killing more of them.
I get into the back of the car, Carl in the passenger seat and Rick walks around to the drivers side.
"Come on!" Hershel encourages, hitting a walker in the face with the butt of the gun.
"Hershel! Come on!" Rick calls him. He quickly starts the car and Hershel hops in. Rick starts to drive off just as Hershel shuts the back door. We leave Hershel's farm, well the dead own it now. Leaving everything behind. I just hope we see the others again. I look to Rick and Carl who Rick is holding him with his right hand, relieved, in a way.
I look to Hershel who is watching the farm, the night sky slightly orange with a few walkers following us... very slowly.
Jamie's Pov
We have been driving all night and I am really tired, I woke up a few moments ago and now a little bit rested.
"Alright let's just... let's just circle back to the highway." Glenn mutters to her.
"Did you see my dad? Did... did he make it? Did you see?" Maggie sobs out.
"I couldn't see anything." Glenn admits.
"There were too many walkers Mags." Ashley tells her older sister.
"And Beth... I... we lost Beth. We've gotta go back there." Maggie tells us.
"Emma and Daryl could still be there. We need to go get everyone." I point in to Glenn.
"We can't go back, ok? There's nothing to go back to." Glenn informs us.
Maggie shakes her head. "But Beth -
Glenn interrupts her. "I-I... I think she was with Lori."
"Did they make it?" Maggie asks him. How was he supposed to know this? He was with us.
"I don't know." He mutters honestly.
"Patricia? Jimmy? Emma? Melanie? What if they didn't make it? What if nobody made it?" She cries out.
"They made it, ok? They had to." He assures her, he takes a breath. "Alright, let's just circle back to the highway where we were stuck." He orders her but she shakes her head.
"No, the herd came from that direction." Maggie objects.
"Just stop. Stop the car. Stop the car." She does as he says. "Let me drive." He mutters and she nods.
Glenn gets out of the car and Maggie climbs into the passenger seat. Glenn climbs in and Maggie starts crying.
"Hey hey hey hey. Hey, Maggie, look at me. Look at me. Hey, we're alive. We made it. Ok? I'm sure they are, too. Right?" He asks her and she nods eventually. "I love you." Glenn speaks aloud and both me and Ashley smile at this. "Maggie, I love you. I should've said it a long time ago and it's been true for a long time. We're gonna be alright, ok? We'll be alright."
"Ok." Maggie agrees. "Yeah " She wipes her eyes. Glenn puts the car back into drive and we drive back to the highway. Hopefully back to the others.
"Finally." Ashley mutters and I look to her confused as well as Maggie. "I thought you would never admit it." She points out and I laugh a little. Only Ashley to crack a joke now.
Emma's Pov
We arrive at the highway and hop out of the vehicle, the lack of vehicles and people is my answer. No one has came yet, they're on their way. They have to be.
Carl turns to his father, worry and confusion written on his face. "Wait, where's mom?" Rick was aboutto answer but Carl didn't allow him. "You said she'd be here. W.. we gotta go back for her."
"Carl-
Carl interrupts Rick. "No. Why are we running? What are you doing? It's... It is mom. We need to get her and not be safe a mile away." He raises his voice.
Rick hushes him. "Shh. You need to be quiet, alright? Please. Please..."
"It's mom." Carl points out.
"Look, Carl, listen - Rick tries to assure the boy but he doesn't listen.
"No." Carl walks off, I walk after him.
"Hey, little trooper." I greet him.
"Stop callin' me that. I'm not a kid." He snaps at me.
"Yeah, you're more of an adult than a kid." I mutter and he looks at me shocked that I consider him an adult. "That's why I taught you how to use a knife. This world has gone to poop and you need to learn things to survive. Things that no child should go through but it's not an option anymore. The others... they will come here, and if we're gone when they get here, I don't know how long they'll stay. So, we're gonna stay here, where it's safe. Believe me, I do want to go after 'em, but we have to stay here. For them." I assure him and he nods. "Plus, I'm allowed to call you a little trooper. We're a part of the trooper gang." I nudge him and he laughs slightly.
After our talk we wait by the car, still waiting for the others. It is now midday. A walker groan interrupts our thoughts, we quickly duck out of sight. We don't want to risk getting caught.
Rick gestures us to move as the walker passes the car. "Ok. Come come come come."
We wait for a while longer, till the walker is out of sight.
"I don't know how much longer we can stay here." Hershel mutters.
"I... I'm not leaing without mom." Carl tells his father.
"So we're just gonna walk away?" Rick snaps at Hershel but he keeps a level head. "Not knowing if my wife, your girls. Emma's boyfriend and mother are still out there? How do we live with that?
"You've only got one concern now... Just one... Keeping him alive." Hershel nods to Carl. "Nature may be throwing us a curveball, but that law is still true."
Rick sighs and looks down at his son. "Carl. It's not safe here. I'm sorry. We'll -
Rick was interrupted by the familiar sound of a motorcycle, I take a sharp intake of breath. Daryl comes into view with Carol on there too. Shane's vehicle and the blue truck behind it. We hurry to where they park.
Lori climbs out of the blue truck and runs to Carl and Rick. "Oh thank God!"
Next I see Carol reunite with her daughter and Beth reunite with her father. My mom comes out of the truck next and I hug her. When she pulls away I get tackled in a hug, I look down and see it's Jamie and I cry out in happiness. I see Ashley and Maggie run to their father and younger sister.
I see Daryl and walk up to him, he climbs off his bike and I tackle him in a hug, Jamie between us.
We pull apart and look at everyone, that was when I notice a few absences. No Jimmy, Patricia, Andrea or Shane.
"Where'd you find everyone?" Rick asks Daryl.
"Well, those guys' tail lights zigzagging all over the road... figured he had to be Asian, driving like that." I shake my head, smiling a little at his joke.
Glenn laughs. "Good one."
"Where's the rest of us?" Daryl asks me, Rick and Hershel.
"We're the only ones that made it so far." Rick admits and I nod, backing our leader up.
"Shane?" Lori questions him. Rick shakes his head, giving her the answer.
"Andrea?" Glenn asks everyone.
"She saved me, then I lost her." Carol admits to us.
"We saw her go down." T informs us and I nod.
"Patricia?" Hershel asks and Beth sobs a little.
"They got her, too. Took her right in front of me. I was... I was holdin' onto her, daddy. She just... What about Jimmy? Did you see Jimmy?" Beth looks around and I shake my head.
Rick nods. "He was in the RV. It got overrun." Rick tells her and she sobs into her dad's shoulder, Maggie, Ashley and Hershel comforting her.
"You definitely saw Andrea?" Carol demands softly.
"There were walkers everywhere." Lori points out.
"Did you see her?" Carol exclaims. No one answers her.
Dayl speaks up. "I'm gonna go back."
"Me too." I pitch in, he is not going on his own.
"No." Rick denies us and I look to him shocked. What?
"We can't just leave her." Daryl mentions to him.
"We don't even know if she's there." Lori tells us, backing her husband.
"She isn't there. She isn't. She's somewhere else or she's dead. There's no way to find her." Rick explains and hesitantly me and Daryl both nod.
"So we're not even gonna look for her?" Glenn asks him, suprise laced in his voice.
"We gotta keep moving. There have been walkers crawling all over here." Rick tells them.
"I say head east." T suggests.
"Stay off the main roads." Daryl mutters and notices the same walker coming back up the highway, obviously heard the noise. He grabs his crossbow. "The bigger the road, the more walkers, more assholes like this one. I got him." He tells Rick and aims and shoots. The bolt striking it through the eye.
I climb on the back of Daryl's bike, Daryl obviously driving. T-Dog, Rick, Lori, Carl, Carol, Sophia and Jamie in the red vehicle, Carl sitting on his mom's lap, Sophia on Carol's. Hershel, Beth, Maggie, Ashley, Glenn and my mom in Shane's former car. We leave T's truck behind, we didn't have a chance to refuel the cars so that one was the lowest so we left it.
I wrap my arms around Daryl and he starts the bike. Rick starts his vehicle up and they drive off, me and Daryl after him with Glenn following behind us. Covering us.
We have been driving for some time when a horn souns behind us and we slow to a stop. I hop off the bike, everyone else gets out, looking at our leader in question. My mom and Jamie stand beside me and Daryl.
"You out?" Daryl asks Rick and he nods.
"Running on fumes." Rick answers him.
"We can't stay here." Carol shrieks, clutching Sophia tightly who was shaking like a leaf.
"We can't all fit in one car." Glenn points out.
"We'll have to make a run for some gas in the morning." Rick informs us, some of us nodding in acceptance while the rest shake their heads, probably still freaked out by the whole event last night.
"Spend the night here?" My mom questions him and he nods.
"I'm freezing." Carl admits, Rick takes his jacket off and hands it to Carl who puts the jacket on.
"We'll build a fire, yeah?" T asks looking at all of us. I nod, we need to keep warm, especially now that winter is around the corner and we have barely any food, enough to last a few days. Thank God Ashley put emergency bags in each of the cars. We would have nothing otherwise.
"You go out looking for firewood, stay close." Daryl informs him. "Only got so many arrows." He looked at Rick. "How you doing on ammo?"
"Not enough." Rick answers him honestly.
"We can't just sit here with our asses hanging out." Maggie points out.
"Watch your mouth." Hershel scolds his eldest daughter.
"Everyone stop panicking and listen to Rick." Lori demands us and we all fall silent and look to the man.
"Alright, we'll set up a perimeter. In the morning, we'll find gas and some supplies. We'll keep pushing on." Rick explains.
Maggie speaks up. "Glenn and I can go and make a run now, try and scrounge up some gas."
Rick shakes his head at her, he doesn't like the idea. "No, we stay together. God forbid something happens and people get stranded without a car."
"Rick, we're stranded now." Glenn points out the obvious.
"I know it looks bad, we've all been through hell and worse, but at least we found each other. I wasn't sure... I really wasn't... but we did. We're together. We keep it that way. We'll find shelter somewhere. There's gotta be a place." Rick sighs out in frustration.
"Rick, look around. Ok? There's walkers everywhere. Thy're migrating or something." Glenn declares.
"There's gotta be a place, not just where we hole up, but that we fortify, hunker down, pull ourselves together, build a life for each other. I know it's out there. We just have to find it." Rick motivates us with a good speech. This is why Rick is a good leader, he helps us carry on living, not just surviving. He cares about us, all of us.
"Even if we do find a place and we think it's safe, we can never be sure. For how long? Look what happened with the farm. We fooled ourselves into thinking that it was safe." Maggie protests.
"We won't make that mistake again." Hershel assures his eldest daughter.
"We'll make camp tonight over there." Rick informs us, pointing to a old ruin of some sorts. "Get on the road at the break of day."
"Does this feel right to you?" Carol asks me and Daryl.
Beth steps closer to Rick. "What if walkers come through, or another group like Randall's?" She asks fearfully. I have no idea what we will do if we run into other survivors.
Daryl looks to Rick. "You know I found Randall, right? He had turned, but he wasn't bit."
Rick looks away slightly, in thought.
"How's that possible?" Beth questions him. The burden of being the leader is weighing Rick down like he has bricks on his back.
"Rick, what the hell happened?" Lori requests her husband. But instead of Rick answering Daryl does.
"Shane killed Randall. Just like he always wanted to." Daryl explains the situation. I nod along in agreement. Makes sense.
"And then the herd got him?" Lori pushes on.
Rick goes silent, he looks like he is having an internal battle with himself.
"We're all infected." He announces and we all look to him shocked. Wait... what?
"What?" Daryl asks our leader, confused.
"At the CDC, Jenner told me. Whatever it is, we all carry it." He explains and my eyes widen.
"So, however we... die, we... we come back?" I manage to spit out the question. Rick looks at me in the eyes, deadly serious.
"Yeah." He nods and I take a sharp intake of breath. Daryl puts his hand on mine and I look to him, his eyes are full of worry. I squeeze his hand in assurance, whether to him or me, I don't even know. Jamie squeezes tighter to me, the situation is dawning on everyone. I wrap my arm around his shoulders, keeping him close.
It doesn't matter how we die... we come back. That's how so many people turned fast. The bombs. Suicide. Riots. People killing each other. It all makes sense now, how there are a lot of walkers.
"And you never said anything?" Carol steps closer to Rick. Everyone looks to Rick, slightly angry. I understand why he didn't tell anyone, he didn't know if it was true or not.
"Would it have made a difference?" Rick tilts his head slightly at her.
"You knew this whole time?" Glenn hisses out.
"How could I have known for sure? You saw how crazy that mo-
Glenn interrupts him. "That is not your call. Ok, when I found out about the walkers in the barn, I told you, for the good of everyone."
"Well, I thought it best that people didn't know." Rick admits with a frown, he looks at us all, one long time before walking off. Lori sighs and follows after him.
All of us just stand in silence, looking away from the conversation between our leader and his wife, I make a quick glance back at the pair and see Lori slap Rick's arm away. Why did she do that?
They both came back and we silently prepare to camp out in the old ruin, me and Daryl went out looking for firewood while T-Dog, Maggie, Rick and Glenn keep watch. Hershel, Ashley and Beth are watching over Carl, Sophia and Jamie while Lori, my mom and Carol cook dinner and somehow try to divide it in between the 15 of us after we return with the wood.
We walk through the woods in silence, a comfortable silence. I'm holding a bunch of sticks, dry, which is what we need.
"What do ya think?" Daryl asks me out of the blue.
"What?" I turn to him confused.
"Rick keeping the secret 'bout being infected, what do ya think?" He repeats and I sigh.
"I actually think he was right but wrong at the same time." I explain and Daryl looks at me with confusion, in his eyes, but his face shows nothing. "He shouldn't have kept it but he did. Jenner was crazy, he didn't believe him but I think something changed that. I trust him. We need to stay with him."
"Fair point." He grumbles. "I trust him too and yeah we do need to stay with him."
After we return back to the group, we light the fire and it starts to get dark. Lori, Carol and my mom start dinner right away, only a little for each of us. To make the food last I guess for all of us. They used two cans so we all took three bites before we passed it to the next person.
Once we all ate our food we just sat there, I'm on Daryl's left, my head leaning on his shoulder, Jamie in between both of us. I hear movement and look to see Carol joining us with Sophia.
"We're not safe with him... Keeping something like that from us." She mutters and notices our looks, we will follow him. "Why do you guys need him? He's just gonna pull you guys down."
"No. Rick's done alright by me." Daryl points out to her and she huffs and looks to me.
"He's done alright by me too." I tell her and she huffs again.
Carol looks at Daryl. "You're his henchman." She then looks to me. "You're a burden like me and Sophia as well as Jamie. Melanie too. You both deserve better."
"What do you want?" Daryl looks to her. Annoyed that she hates Rick.
"A man of honor." She bluntly admits.
"Rick has honor." Daryl points out to her and I nod with him in agreement.
"I think we should take our chances." Maggie admits and I roll my eyes at my sometimes idiotic best friend.
"Don't be foolish. There's hardly any food, no fuel, not much ammo." Hershel tells her and that's when a twig snaps, bringing all of our attention. We all stand up apart from Lori and Carl.
"What was that?" Beth questions and Sophia sobs a little. She's still afraid of these things.
"Could be anything." Daryl mutters to us. "Could be a racoon, could be a possum." Daryl tries to lighten things up. But no one calms down. Jamie holds my hand.
"Walker." Glenn suggests.
"We need to leave. I mean what are we waiting for?" Carol squirms. I see Rick has returned to the ruin now.
"Which way?" Glenn asks.
"It came from over there." Maggie answers him.
"Back from where we came." Beth looks to each of us for answers.
"Yeah." Maggie answers her vaguely.
Rick speaks up. "The last thing we need is for everyone to be running off in the dark. We don't have the vehicles. No one's travelling on foot."
"Don't panic." Hershel adds in.
"I'm not... I'm not sitting here, waiting for another herd to blow through. We need to move, now." Maggie looks to Rick.
"No one is going anywhere." Rick snaps at her.
"Do something." Carol hisses at him but Rick has had enough.
"I am doing something! I'm keeping this group together, alive. I've been doing that all along, no matter what. I didn't ask for this." He hisses. "I killed my best friend for you people, for Christ's sake!" We all go silent, this is what changed Rick. "You saw what he was like, how he pushed me, how he compromised us, how he threatened us. How he planned on abandoning Jamie. He staged the whole Randall thing, led me out to put a bullet in my back. He gave me no choice." Carl starts crying and Lori comforts him. "He was my friend, but he came after me. My hands are clean. Maybe you people are better off without me. Go ahead. I say there's a place for us, but maybe... maybe it's a pipe dream. Maybe... maybe I'm fooling myself again. Why don't you... Why don't you go and find out yourself? Send me a postcard. Go on, there's the door. You can do better? Let's see how far you get."
Nobody moves. We are all just watching Rick. He is our leader now.
"No takers? Fine. But get one thing straight... you're staying. This isn't a democracy anymore." He informs us, looking at each one of us. Seeing what are reactions are like, no one objected, they didn't do anything, just stand there and listen. He looks at Daryl and Daryl nods without hesitation. When his eyes land on me, I give him one curt nod. Silently telling him I was on his side. Jamie nods as well.
All three of us are on Rick's side. He gives us a nod in return. We all stay silent after that. Rick's words repeating over and over again like a mantra through the night.
This isn't a democracy anymore. Rick is right. We have to do this to survive winter, survive together, this has become our life of survival now.
Well that's the season 2 finale! That was a long chapter but you guys deserve it after all the support you guys have been giving me. I appreciate it! Thank you guys for reading this chapter and I hoped you enjoyed. But honestly though Negan's reaction when he heard about Carl's death. Acting on point by all the actors and actresses! Also, please review! I want to know what you think about the chapter! Comment your ideas when I should kill Sophia off (which season) I honestly can't put her in much anymore, so just tell me how long you want her alive or you want her to be like the comics and I'll do my best until I think it's time.
