Yo, DragonDodge here. I've been ill for a while, so I couldn't write. The worst part is, this is also a filler, so it is probably "£&^. Let's begin, shall we?
"Well, we have the rest of the year to enjoy ourselves. It's not even Christmas yet, but we've had our adventure." Elwyn was really worried. They managed to get an adventure done in record time, so had nothing to do. He couldn't visit his animals, so he himself had nothing to do.
"Trust me, I'll find something for us to do." Harry reassured him as they entered the great hall and sat down with Luna. It was amazing how she was up all night, yet still could survive the day. They just put it down to the fact she was a god.
"Hello." Was the simple word she said as she devoured another candy.
"Um, Selene? Do you mind if I actually try one of those?" Harry asked, wondering what they were like. When she nodded, Harry hesitantly took one and slowly popped it in his mouth. His eyes widened as the various magicks cast upon the candy activated and Gave Harry the biggest sugar rush he had ever experienced. When he finally regained control of his body, he had been held by Ariana as Elwyn checked him over.
"Um, I didn't do anything I would normally regret, did I?" Harry asked, unsettled by Ariana's smirk.
"Well, apart from jumping around then great hall like a monkey, no not really." The grin Ariana had grew as Harry smirked.
"Well, not to different than normal. Anyway, after lessons I think that we should get the phoenix to fly." He said cryptically, but Ariana and Elwyn understood. They managed to make it through the days lessons without becoming too bored and eventually, when the day was done, they met in the common room to say hi to their friends before walking out. They wandered until they reached the seventh floor and simply walked back and forth three times.
Soon, a door formed and they entered to find their instruments and muggle speakers.
"Ah, how good it feels to be behind the set again!" Elwyn exclaimed as he flipped the sticks in his hands.
"Yes. To feel the guitar is like feeling an extension of me." Ariana laughed. "I guess that's what Apollo does for you."
"Well then, shall we start? I suppose we could do this as some sort of concert for the end of year or something."
"Yes, I think we should do that." Harry said as he moved to his keyboard. "Well, let's practise!" he yelled, until he saw the stump of his arm.
"Actually, let's get my arm back, and then let's rock!"
The week past and on the Sunday afternoon, Harry created a rainbow next to the black lake and pulled out a single drachma. (You know, those huge golden coins used by ancient Greeks? Were originally silver?)
He proceeded to throw the gold coin into the rainbow, saying clearly,
Oh Iris, great goddess of the under-estimated rainbow, please allow me to humbly use your service to contact my mother.
Hecate's face appeared within the rainbow and a tinkling laughter appeared almost out of nowhere
Flattery will get you nowhere Harrison.
"So, you called me, my son?" Hecate asked, noticing the stumped arm.
"Wait, Percy wasn't lying about that!?" She screamed, slowly getting angrier. "Why did you not contact me as soon as it happened?!"
"Well, it's kinda hard to make a rainbow without people questioning you, even in a magical school." Elwyn replied, causing Hecate to calm down a fraction.
"Yes, well, I'll bring Apollo and see how bad it is." Hecate said, disappearing from the rainbow. Suddenly, there was a strange flash, and the two gods were standing before them.
"…Well, nice entrance." Ariana stated as the pair looked at Harry's stump.
"Well dude, I can safely say that arm is $£"&ed up!" was Apollo's response, making Hecate smack him in his head.
"Language in front of children!" she scolded, with said children laughing at the sight of Apollo being whipped.
"um, yes, well, we should have that fixed right away, shouldn't we?" Apollo held onto the end of Harry's arm and closed his eyes in concentration. The three children gasped as it began to glow and as soon as Apollo released it, the glow grew larger and began to take the form of a human hand. Slowly, a strange, skin-like material began wrapping round the light, eventually forming the final hand. It was no different than the rest of his body; you couldn't tell that Harry had lost his hand.
"Wow that was epic!" Harry said as he flexed his newly returned fingers. Apollo waved him off however.
"It was nothing. You are one of the best demigods that I've seen, and trust me, I've seen a lot. I wouldn't have given you my blessing if I didn't like you."
"Well, this is your school then? I must say, I prefer the Greek style better." Hecate said as she looked over the castle, clearly not impressed.
"I must admit, I do find the place dreadfully cold." Ariana said, fingering the jacket she had worn. Apollo began laughing.
"Oh gods, you're standing next to the god of the sun, yet you're cold! Rather ironic, isn't it? Here let me warm it up a bit." He then waved his hand upwards, causing the sun to intensify. Ariana smiled gratefully as she removed her jacket.
"Well then, shall we have a tour of your properties, lord Hogwarts?" Hecate asked, a small smirk playing at her lips as Harry groaned and the other three laughed.
"Please mother, do not use my titles, but sure, let's go!"
"He has power beyond all imagination. I can barely sense him without getting a headache. How could this have happened? All he needed to do was agree to go to the Dursleys and come as an obedient boy. He would've made friends with my agents and then when he died, everything would go to us. So why didn't it happen?" Dumbledore had finally resorted to pacing around his office, voicing his confusion to Fawkes.
"His friends are also a problem. Add the fact that he is friends with the majority of the school, and we have a huge problem. Not one that cannot be fixed though." He had now sat down and taken one of many lemon drops.
"He will sacrifice himself for the greater good. Besides, he won't need his wealth if he is dead, so that will help us."
"And this is the Ravenclaw common room. This is where we sleep and live, though we could use the founders room, but since we are still at school, it is best that we just keep to tradition." The two gods where slightly more approving of the lighter colours, but was still rather put off.
"It's… different… screw it, this is terrible!" Apollo took to theatrically shielding his eyes.
"Well, this is where we go to school. Besides, Harry owns this place." Ariana said, throwing her arm around said boy.
"And I'm guessing that you won't be making any changes?" Hecate asked, with Harry nodding.
"Well, I guess that's all we need to see. Stay well children." Hecate then kissed all three on the forehead while Apollo messed up Harry's hair.
"well dude, keep safe, keep on makin' music and…" Apollo leaned close to Harry's ear. "Make sure Selene stays safe, okay? She's almost like a niece to me."
"We will, I swear by my magic and by the river Styx." A bright flash and rumbling acknowledged both oaths, making Apollo sigh in relief.
"You truly are a wonder Harrison Potter. See ya later!" he said, jumping backwards with a flash to announce his departure. Hecate shook her head, but still left after in silver light.
"Oh, how Apollo and Hecate make me laugh." Elwyn said, pacing randomly around.
"Yes, but now I'm cold once more." Ariana complained, jacket placed on her shoulders, with Harry shaking his head.
"Wow. Let's just, just get back inside."
Eventually, Christmas came round, with students flittering about the local town, searching for gifts. Of course, Harry couldn't have something normal, so while his friends where away shopping, he was hard at work with the anvil.
"Well, with a slight bit of magic, this will turn out right." Harry mumbled to himself as he hammered away, slowly but surely creating his final piece. He was sweating like a fountain, but when he removed the metal from the heat, he finally smiled.
"Well, that's the main body of Ariana's. Now, Elwyn's turn…"
"What should we get him?" the other two had been randomly searching the various shops and their own inventory to find the perfect gift for Harry, but nothing seemed right.
"We could get him some sweets. He definitely loves those." Elwyn suggested, holding up his own pouch of candy, but Ariana quickly decided against it.
"It needs to have more character, something he would use daily… If we can… yes! I have the perfect idea!" she began drawing Elwyn towards the trio unity shop to find her 'perfect idea'.
Meanwhile, Harry had just gift wrapped his presents, so he was simply biding his time in the special 'room of requirement'. He was destroying things with full power, meaning that he was currently in his 'true form.'
"I need to put a bit more grace into my fighting style." He panted to himself as he surveyed the damage. The majority of the walls were destroyed, but slowly knitting themselves together, while the training dummies where nowhere to be found.
"I must say though, I really know how to mess a place up." Changing back to normal and exiting the room, he made to the entrance just as his friends came in.
"Hello there!" Elwyn exclaimed, embracing Harry. "Where's Selene?"
"Oh, just doing her own thing."
"Well, let us go put our things away and we can go help Hagrid like we said." Ariana said, moving to get past Harry. He let her past, knowing what was in store for them. It is hard work moving multiple trees and decorations.
"You know," Harry said once they were ready. "I wonder why they make Hagrid, who can't use magic, haul all the stuff from outside in?"
"The magical world isn't a smart one. Let's just get this over with." Elwyn replied as they walked towards the small hut in which Hagrid lived.
"Thanks 'n all fer choosin' to come 'elp me. Sometimes, 'aulin' this load really breaks the back." Hagrid was moving the smaller objects while the trio were using basic charms to move the larger trees and other pieces.
"It's no problem. We don't get why you do this, so might as well help." Ariana replied. Hagrid was one of the most gullible people, but his heart was in the right place, even if he just blurts out secrets.
"Well, bein' just a gameskeeper, I ain't got a whole load of stuff ter do. I suppose that this is their way of keepin' me busy."
"Maybe you should take a break Hagrid. Go on a vacation, have an adventure, just get some time away from Hogwarts." Harry suggest, causing Hagrid to pause.
"I don't know. Who would look after my home? Can't leave it alone." He asked, making Harry pat him on the back.
"It's good that you're wondering about these kinds of things, but as lord Hogwarts, I am duty bound to keep your home clean and in one piece."
"Well, if yer sure 'arry. Maybe I will. Gimme some time to go talk to Dumbledore 'n I'll be in me way."
"We'll finish things here!" Ariana yelled at his retreating back, causing Hagrid to send a thumb up back.
"He's definitely a nice guy, if a little too trusting." Elwyn commented as they moved the last of the decorations inside. Harry began to wave his hands to make a light snowfall from the ceiling (which would not hit the students.) and the slight tinkle of bells in the hall. This was different from normal, as Harry usually refrained from using his will to do magic while at school.
"Well, he could have a break. Mother knows that man works too hard."
When Christmas finally came, the three awoke to a larger pile of presents than usual, with Selene's own added to the mix.
"Maybe we should wait until Selene comes." Ariana said, due to the fact that the boys were going crazy, as normal.
"Whatever, I just want the presents!" Elwyn exclaimed. He always had a certain giddiness at Christmas, though the other two had no idea why. When the small goddess did arrive, she was given three separate greetings and they sat down for their presents.
Elwyn began, carefully unfolding paper from an assortment of random sweets and toys from friends. He seemed to instantly fall in love with one toy, a small dog with an animation charm so that it would occasionally bark.
"It's awesome!" he said before Ariana began. Her delicate fingers made light work of the simple wrapping, unveiling similar items from people, even some she didn't know.
"I honestly don't want to know why."
When Selene's turn came, she was delighted to find a selection of clothes from Ariana, an animated moon replica that would follow her when wanted from Harry, and a moon shaped necklace from Elwyn. She quickly gave each person a hug, which was returned with equal energy.
"These are the first gifts I have received in a long age. I will treasure these for millennia to come. I think I shall name my new companion Orbit." The newly named Orbit spun rapidly around Selene, apparently happy with its new name. Harry then pulled out his gifts simultaneously as the Elwyn and Ariana pulled out theirs, swapping and opening them without precaution. Ariana reverently pulled out an elegant new jewellery set, completely covered in the expensive gems, while Elwyn had a brand new cane, which glittered in the sunlight.
"Well, I must admit, this is definitely an upgrade!" Elwyn said as he looked at his new tool. It was a straight cane made of birch, ending in a golden hook.
"yes, Your sense for beauty knows no bounds." Ariana said as she placed her necklace on, to a blushing Harry.
"w-well, I thought you would like some new stuff as you're always wearing the same things." He replied.
"Well, we got you this." Elwyn said as he thrust out their gift, which Harry took. Upon opening, Harry found two cufflinks, made of simple gold, not even the special metals the gods commonly used. Raising his eyebrow, Harry clipped them on, suspicion covering his face. Elwyn simply smiled.
"Assassin." Was all he said before it clipped into Harry's mind. His smirk threatened to break his face as he flicked his wrists to send out two blades.
"That, is epic." He said, admiring his new weapons.
"Well, it seemed to suit you. Just don't go round scaring people to death with them, 'kay?" Ariana instructed, getting a firm nod in return.
"Good. Now, let's go to the great hall." As the others left, Harry got up, only to notice a small silver package with a note. Picking it up, he read the small note.
To Harrison.
I send you this gift in the hopes that you are well. Be careful, as I have gone to long lengths to get this to you. May you be forever well.
Z.
"Well, isn't that nice. She really does care." Harry whispered, pocketing the package and heading out.
After Breakfast, the group took to the room of requirement, prepping a stage and making doors through to each of the common rooms. As students began to trickle in, the muggleborns became wary of the instruments, while the others simply did not know what they were. Soon, as the area was now full, the lights within were replaced by stage lights, with the trio appeared (With Selene replacing Sirius for the bass.)
"Hello! You may be wondering what this is." Harry said, receiving many nods. "Well, we decided to hold a Christmas concert, to show some of the purebloods here what the Muggles can do!"
No return- self written
I see you smiling, your face so pure.
I know you've missed me, of that I'm sure.
But when I look within, and search within your eyes,
I see no kind, no happiness, just anger and surprise.
Did you really hate me, so much you lost you love?
Become so different from that sweet gentle dove?
Of what you used to be, of what I used to yearn.
But now I know there's no going back.
There is no return.
You simply stood there. You spoke out with glee.
To hear your voice speak once again made me weak at the knee.
The malice you hid, not shown years on end, now I've gone and seen it all, seen it in my one friend.
Did you really hate me, so much you lost your love?
Become so different from that sweet, gentle dove?
Of what you used to be, of what I used to yearn.
But now I know, there's no going back, there is no return.
I… Hoped… this wasn't true.
That… this… wasn't you.
That there… was… a chance for us.
Well now there is no now ,only was!
Did you hate me, so much you lost your love?
Become so different from that sweet gentle dove?
Of what you used to be, Of what I used to yearn,
But Now I know there's no going back, there is no return.
There is no return.
There is no return.
There is no return.
There is… no return.
After that one song, they played to cheering fans late into the night, even enticing some of the purebloods to join in with the fun. There was one thing for sure though,
Christmas went out with a bang.
Finally, I got this $£"% out. I managed to get in a little cute moment for those wanting to see some development between Harry and Zoe, as well as a song written from scratch.
Written. From. Scratch.
R+R please people, even terrible things about it. Things will get better, around the G.O.F time, so stay tuned!
Double D out!
P.S: I imagined No return as a slow song, talking about how a man sees the truth about his partner. We had to write a song at school, so this is actually my second song. Just use the speed of you're beautiful by James Blunt.
