21-Fifth Month, Part II
"Look, we want to make this as peaceful as possible-"
"No, we don't."
"The last thing we want is for blood to be spilled."
"But that's exactly what's going to happen. Hope you lot didn't wear you best clothes."
"Klaus," Stefan glared at him, and avoided looking at the cowering twenty or so witches. He wasn't happy about them putting Rebekah and his baby in danger, but he also didn't want to shed any blood, much to Klaus disapproval. "We don't have to kill anyone."
"Saint Stefan. Always the noble one, you could give my brother a run for his money," he waged a finger at him. "But don't worry I won't kill them, until after the link has been broken."
Agnes gulped. "We can't break the link even if we wanted too. The link is a form of contract you can say. Until you agree to the terms the link cannot be broken."
Klaus looked murderess.
Stefan was sure that he would have to try and drag Klaus out of the cemetery before Sophie came running towards them. "Wait!"
"Ah, Sophie come to join your group of slaughtering lambs?" Klaus raised his arms as if offering Sophie to join them. "There's plenty of room."
Sophie ignored his sarcasm and pushed back a piece of black hair from her eyes. "I just came from the hospital, Katherine and the baby are out of the danger zone. They're going to be all right."
"She's going to be fine now," Dr. Collins told Elijah. "We gave her a few antibiotics and that seems to be doing the trick. She's just going to be bedridden for a little while. I would like to keep here for observation, for tonight if that's ok. You can take her home tomorrow morning."
Elijah nodded, his features slowly relaxing. "Yes, that would be fine. And the baby-"
"The baby is in stable condition," she told him. "But I'm not going to lie to you, Mr. Mikaelson. She's underweight for her fifth month and I have no doubt in my mind that the baby is probably suffering from malnutrition. I'll prescribe her a few vitamins, but she must raise up her baby weight in the next couple of months"
Elijah nodded, trying to sink everything in. "May I see her?"
"Of course."
Elijah stepped back inside in the little hospital room, most of the machines were gone and Katherine was just waking up. She looked back startled, and it disappointed Elijah that she almost seemed afraid of him.
"I'm not going to hurt you, Katerina." He said gently as he approached her bed.
"Why not?" she scoffed, avoiding his glance. "No one would blame you. I ditched you, again. I put our baby in danger. Trust me Elijah, the last thing I deserve is niceness."
Elijah's ears perked up a bit. "Our baby. Does this mean-"
"Look, I don't think I'm mother material. With my luck, our baby will hate me even before it starts to walk," she sighed. "What I'm trying to say is that I've been thinking . . . maybe having this baby wasn't the worst thing that could have happened to me. Do you think we could make it work?"
Elijah pressed a hand on her cheek and rested his forehead against hers. "Of course we can make it work, Katerina."
"I'm sorry," she mumbled. "For everything . . . you don't deserve held of the things I did to you-"
"Shh," Elijah quieted her down. "I have nothing to forgive. We've both made our mistakes."
"What's taking, Elijah so long?" Rebekah said impatiently as she put down her magazine that she had been trying to read, but so far hadn't been successful. "He's been in her room for like half an hour. Stefan and Nik better fix this mess-Caroline are you listening-hey don't fall asleep!"
Caroline had pushed two waiting room chairs together like a small bed and had curled herself into a ball. "I'm tired, Rebekah," she said crankily. "Anyway, it's past one, why don't we just go-"
"No," Rebekah said stubbornly. "I'm not going to let the faith of my baby lie on the hands of Katherine, Klaus, and the doctors!"
Caroline groaned as she rested her head back on the couch. Of course she didn't blame Rebekah for worrying. She was worried too, but since it was witch business it was basically out of their hands anyway.
"Here they come," Rebekah said. "And they better have good news."
"I'm sorry, love are you tired?" Klaus said softening a bit when he saw Caroline slowly getting up.
"A little." She admitted.
Stefan cleared his throat. "How about I take the girls home-"
Rebekah crossed her arms over her chest. "I am not leaving until you two tell me that you solved everything. I don't see any blood."
"It can't be solved, little sister!" Klaus snapped.
"When the witches linked you they formed some type of bond," Stefan explained slowly. "Kind of like a contract, until we give them what they want, you'll maintain linked."
Rebekah sat down, obviously frustrated.
"Katherine is ok, now," Caroline said brightly, hoping to change the conversation. "She and the baby are going to be fine. She's staying overnight, Elijah is with her though."
Klaus felt his anger returning. Damn that Katerina. If she hadn't been so stupid and stubborn, neither of Caroline or Rebekah's babies would have been in danger and he wouldn't have to depend on the witches. "Stefan, take Caroline and Rebekah home. I have something to take care of."
Stefan saw the look in Klaus' eyes as he helped Caroline up. "Klaus, don't do anything stupid."
"Now, Stefan when have I ever done that?"
Klaus stormed into the room, interrupting Katherine and Elijah's lovey dovey scene. Anger running in his veins, almost murderess and Katerina was well aware of it. Her face paled. "Klaus-"
Elijah sensing his brother's movement, pushed Klaus's against the wall. "Don't you dare, Niklaus."
"Oh, Elijah don't be an idiot," Klaus growled. "How can you still defend her after everything she did to you? Did you already forget that you spend weeks moping over her?"
"That is between Katerina and myself."
"Did you know what danger she put everyone in today? She put everyone's children at risk for her own selfishness."
"I'm aware of that, Klaus," Katherine spoke up. "And I'm so sorry. It wasn't my intention. Please-"
Klaus let out an almost maniacal laugh. "Forgive you? You honestly didn't think I was going to let this slide?"
"If you kill her," Elijah warned. "You won't only have to respond to me, but also to Caroline and Rebekah."
Klaus let out a little hiss. "One more chance, Katerina. Mess that up and your next room will be a body bag."
Katherine was waiting for Elijah around noon the next day. She was no longer wearing the hospital gown and instead was wearing a short wool skirt, tights, boots, and a purple cardigan. "It's cold, ok," she protested when Elijah was looking at her in amusement, he didn't remember when she had been so covered up before. "Can we go now? This place is depressing." Even though she was still as sassy as ever, Elijah could tell that she was tired and that the antibiotics were making her sleepy.
Much to her surprise, Elijah picked her up bridal style and started carrying her out of the room. She flushed. "Elijah, I can walk."
"I know," Elijah said simply. "I don't want you too."
Katherine was too tired to complain, instead she just rested her head against his chest.
-End of Chapter Twenty One-
So what did you guys think about the 100th episode? Frankly, I was a little disappointed with it.
Things I liked:
1) Sweet Steferine moments
2) Kalijah scene, even if only a hallucination. The way those two looked at each other just melted my heart. I wish Nina had a twin so she could be in The Originals.
3) Katherine taking her revenge by possessing Elena and once again being badass and evil Katherine. Long live the queen!
4) Nadia and Katherine duo, I admit I was kind of skeptical when it came to Nadia, but she's really starting to grow on me.
5) Flashbacks, the moment when Katherine went to the crib to hold her daughter was so sweet!
Things I disliked:
1) Klaroline, sorry I love them but they were just too OOC in this episode, and Caroline was acting like a bratty, hyper 12 year old.
2) Damon torturing Katherine, he's such an asshole in this season and he used to be my favorite character. Come on, torturing Kat with the death of her family I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Damon is perfectly capable of making his own decisions, so he shouldn't go blaming his mistakes on anyone else.
3) The MFG blaming Katherine for their problems, when half of them were really caused by them and their own stupidity and selfishness or because of their let's save Elena campaign, though I admit Kat is no angel.
4) Judgy Elena. So Stefan slept with Kat, and you care because?
5) Elena making it all about her even in Katherine's deathbed, we get it Elena hates her. I was just rolling my eyes when she said that she's "forgiving" Katherine because it's a part of her she never wants to lose, please we all know she'll still be blaming Katherine 500 years from now for her problems. Ha, she finally got what she deserved. Sorry, Elena fans but I miss my sweet season 1-2 Elena, season 3 and onward Elena can get run over by a bus for all I care.
6) It's felt like a bunch of characters were cramped together, Klaus, Rebekah, Vickie, Tyler, Jenna, John, Elijah, and Alaric had like what 20 seconds of dialogue? Honestly I was expecting more.
What did you guys like or dislike about the 100 episode? I'm curious to know, this was my personal opinion on the episode. By the way, did anyone else think Kat looked adorable when she was pregnant in the flashback? Her belly was so big, it was cute :)
