Cassie took one look around the gym and was absolutely livid. She would've thought that Seth would have had at least some respect for their dream, or that Dean would've taken charge and put his foot down whenever Seth was out of line. But this, this was too much. It was cluttered with machines and ads for vendors that you could barely see walls or floors. The front counter was a mess and she even want to look in the drawers because once she saw a flat iron sitting on her counter she wanted to scream. This was a gym, not a salon.

Going back into the office she once shared with her estranged husband, she saw that all of her stuff had been cleared out and she wasn't surprised or upset to see that. It had to be done. But Seth's desk was a mess. Papers scattered everywhere, his laptop was still on, and she found herself tidying it up for him like she used to do. He was always the messy one out of the two of them. What had her pleasantly surprised was that the pictures of her were still on his desk. She would've expected them to be in the storage closet or the garbage can, not tormenting him out in the open.

I'll never forget that Christmas. Cassie thought with a smile, picking up the frame that housed a picture back from their first Christmas as a married couple. He was sitting in his parents' recliner while she was seated sideways across his lap while he held her close. They both were wearing atrocious Christmas sweaters but they were smiling. Seth, who knew his mom had the camera ready, had a shit-eating grin on his face while she was cuddling Kevin in her arms with a teary smile. Just thinking back to that day made her want to cry because they were so happy.

"What changed?" She whispered as she set the frame back where it belonged and glanced to their wedding picture with a sad smile before exiting the room and going into the storage closet. There was one box with her name on it and she grabbed it without hesitation before leaving the gym in a hurry, grateful that she had come by before after the place had closed.

Contrary to what she had told Dean earlier in the morning, she didn't give him her flight information. There were things that she needed to do and she couldn't do them with him, Seth, and possibly Roman breathing down her neck the whole time. That wasn't good for her psyche and would make her snippy with them and that really wasn't something that she really wanted to deal with right now. Being inn Florida hurt her enough, having to deal with pissy men because they were upset that she was being a bitch would make this whole thing suck way more.

With her box secure in the trunk of her rental car, Cassie made her way to Dean's apartment and parked in his guest space. She didn't know how happy he'd be to see her, but she knew that they had to talk to each other in private before she dealt with Seth because Dean deserved to have her at a hundred percent. Not frazzled or distraught, just calm Cassie.

The walk up to his apartment was a long one, despite it only being a couple flights. The elevator was down, but even if it wasn't she probably still would've taken the stairs because she was nervous. This was the first time she'd see him in three months, and there were plenty of possibilities floating through her mind at what he could possibly say to her.

Three slow knocks on the door had her heart racing as she waited for him to answer the door. She knew that he was home because his car was parked in its usual space, but he wasn't answering. Did he know it was her and was just ignoring her? Or maybe he was just in the shower. She'd tell herself that, at the very least.

Just when she was about to walk away, the door opened and she saw that he was actually just taking a shower and had absolutely no shame in answering the door wearing just a towel. He looked delicious, honestly, with his body still damp and his wet hair in his face with droplets of water falling onto his chest. She wanted to groan aloud but knew that this probably wasn't the right time for that.

"Cassie?"

"Hi Dean." She spoke softly, smiling up at him nervously. At least he looked happy to see her. "I was hoping that I could talk to you about a few things, but if now's a bad time I can-"

"No, sweetheart, come in. Please." He invited her in with a smile, stepping aside as he opened the door wider to allow her entry. "I've missed you, Kitten."

"I've missed you, too, Sir." She whispered, a bit ashamed that it slipped out of her so easily. Colt dominated her one time and it took her a second to get into that subspace Dean liked her in, but all Dean had to do was call her Kitten and she was putty in his hands.

"I'm gonna put on some pants. Make yourself at home, Cas." Dean spoke, knowing that he couldn't stay in a towel for long and keep casual with Cassie. Especially with how good she looked. Those three months did her good; her hair was longer, she looked much more well rested, and it looked like she had put on a couple pounds in the best way. She looked better than ever, and for the most part she looked happy. It sucked for him, though, knowing that she did better without him, but he knew that he would be okay in the end. They would be okay because they were going to talk everything out and be happy. There really was no other solution.

When he reemerged from his bedroom wearing only a pair of low hanging jeans Cassie had taken off her jacket and trying to relax on his loveseat with a beer in her hands and one open(presumably for him) on the coffee table. He took the seat beside her, knowing that it probably wasn't where she expected him to sit but it was his apartment and he would sit where he wanted to. She didn't seem too bothered by him, even bumping her head against his shoulder as he reached for his beer.

"So, what do you want to talk about?"

"I need to be honest with you, about C- my boy toy, as you like to call him." Cassie spoke softly, her eyes locked on the blank television screen in front of her. She didn't know how Dean would take this information, but she knew that he deserved to know if they were going to have any type of romantic relationship after her divorce was finalized. "About two months ago, when I actually felt like leaving my bedroom, my dads took me to a restaurant and I met this guy. We hit it off, and have been having a no strings, sexual relationship since then."

"Why are you telling me this?"

"Because three months ago you told me that it should've been you from the start and I want to see what we can have together when I'm not married."

"That makes me happy, Cassie, it really does." Dean murmured, looking over at her with a small smile. "But I need to make sure that you're over Seth, and this other guy. I want all of you, I don't want to share pieces of you because you're not over them."

"I can assure you that there are no feelings for the other guy. He's a great friend, but there's nothing past friendship felt for this guy." Cassie spoke confidently, looking him in the eye for the first time in three months. "And Seth, I just have to talk to him and get some closure then I'm sure I'll be over him."

"That's good to hear." He spoke softly, turning to face her. "I've waited eight long years to have you to myself, Kitten. But I don't want to be in Florida anymore."

"That's another thing that I wanted to talk to you about. I want to go to the west coast, maybe Oregon, and I was hoping that you'd come with me."

"Oregon, huh?" He asked, nodding his head as he thought about it. "It gets cold there."

"I just want to be close to my dads but not in Washington."

"I understand that. We'll talk it over alright? We've got time.

Cassie waited until Dean had left for the gym the next morning to go to what was once her home. She parked in the driveway, next to Seth's car, and made her way to the front door. There was no need for knocking, she just used her key and let herself in. Kevin was excited to see her and she was more than excited to see Kevin, lifting her fur baby into her arms and letting him lick and her face excitedly as she headed to the dining room. She was just going to sit and wait for Seth to come down, but what she got instead was a woman she didn't recognize coming down the stairs with her husband.

"That was good, Seth. Better than last time, that's for sure." This stranger praised, making Cassie have to hold back her chuckle as they headed for the door. "Shame that you're not coming in today."

"Well, you know how that goes, sweetheart. I've got work to do here." He spoke before shutting the door, Cassie hoped it was in her face, and she heard his footsteps approaching. "Kevin!? When did you get here, Cas?"

"Not too long ago, Sethie. I'm going to assume that you've got time to chat, since you're not going in today."

"Yeah, I'd love to actually."

"Good." She smiled as he sat down across from her. "I just- I need to know why."

"Why, what?"

"Why you lied to me for eight years and cheated Dean. Why you thought it wouldn't blow up in your face? Or maybe why you cheated on me?" She listed the three questions on her mind, leaning on the table as Seth cleared his throat. "I need closure, Seth, and so do you."

And so Seth delved into his story without further stalling, explaining how homophobic his parents were and how he knew that he was gay but needed to please them. Dean told him about her, and at first he didn't care much because she was a chick and not what he was interested in. He had helped with Dean's "secret admirer" tactics, but when Dean came down with food poisoning the night of their ate he needed Seth to step in. The original plan was for him to bring Cassie to their dorm so she could actually meet Dean and know who had been pining for her for three months but the plan changed for Seth when he saw how beautiful Cassie was and knew that she would be the one to get his parents off his back.

She listened intently as his story progressed, knowing that he needed to get it all off her chest. She didn't know that he had already told his story to Roman, but she knew that this was good for them and their healing. She never interrupted, since she asked for him to tell all this to her. But eventually he finished, leaving silence between them for a good five minutes. She was letting it all soak in, trying to make sense of all of this.

"So, let me get this straight." She spoke softly, drumming her nails against the table top. "You screwed over your best friend and robbed him of who he still thinks is the love of his life because you needed an escape from you parents? Why the fuck couldn't you man up?"

"I don't know, Cassie. I just wanted to make them proud, y'know?"

"Yeah, I guess I get that part, but you broke Dean's heart and you broke mine. Was it all worth it?"

"No, it wasn't, and I don't think I'll ever be able to apologize to you guys enough for what I did. Which is why I signed the papers without thinking twice. I just couldn't bring myself to turn them in because I didn't want to let you go."

"You pushed me away, Seth."

"Yeah, I know, but I love you. I fucked everything up, but I'm always going to love you."

"Please don't say things like that, Seth." Cassie requested as she stood up, looking at her phone to see that she got a text from Dean.

'Just got approached by douches. They want to talk about selling'
