20: Kidnapped by Baxter Stockman Part One
Wow, this is…actually embarrassing.
"When those meddling turtles see my newest creation, they'll tremble in fear upon its power and I, Baxter Stockman, will rule New York City!"
Scratch that; this is fucking humiliating.
Alexander flexed her hands and felt the metal restraints holding keeping her glued to the wall. She let her lime orbs roam her surroundings and indeed found herself to be located inside Baxter Stockman's lair. The mousers were gathered around her as well to further prevent her escape. Her eyes narrowed irritably at the sound of Stockman's pitiful attempt on an evil laugh and hung her head in defeat. How could I have let him of all people kidnap me? The guys will never let me live it down.
She, April and the turtles had gone outside to play ball after they had a lecture from Donnie about how doing that in the lair was driving him crazy. They found a quiet and empty place where they had fun for about an hour or two before the ground opened before the dark-haired girl and she fell into a pit of darkness created by the mousers which brought us to her current whereabouts in Stockman's lab.
Alex was blowing her fringe-bangs away from her face as the evil genius approached his catch. Though, he didn't look to be very pleased by the sight before him and hastily wiped his glasses before looking over the teen. "Who're you?"
…
Outside a few yards away from Stockman's lab, the four turtles were sprinting towards it to save their friend from Baxter's not-so-harmful clutches.
"Okay, this is how we do it; Donnie and I go down through the roof and Mikey and Raph will go through the back where it's least likely to have any traps. Find a way to get as many mousers on your tail while we free Alex. Objections?"
"I got plenty, first as always; why are you torturing me with Mikey's company-?"
"Hey!" came the offended reply that was clearly ignored by Raph in favour of making further complains.
"And second; I'd rather go through the roof with him."
"Well, you can't because that decision has already been made," Leo replied finally. "Also because you wouldn't be able to cause a discreet distraction if you took the roof."
"Then why'd you even bother with asking for objections?"
"To see if you had any."
"Did it ever occur to you that it ain't fun to act as bait all the time?" Raph crossed his arms while Mikey nodded in agreement, completely forgetting that Raph had offended him mere seconds ago. "Or is this one of your ideas to make yourself look like a little hero just like the first time we went against Spacman?"
"Stockman," Donatello corrected.
"Whatever," Raph replied.
…
"Say what?" the teen blinked. "What person doesn't know the identity of the person he's keeping prisoner? Unless you're really that inexperienced."
"I am not!" Stockman countered. "I've been studying about my desired prisoner for a long time, mind you, and you look nothing like April O'Neil!"
Alex' eyes dropped as she heard this. "Ah. I'm the wrong kid, then. Seriously though, how could you screw up by our looks?"
"The mousers screwed up, I knew how April looked!"
"Sure, blame your creation which in the end still puts the blame on you. That reminds me," the teen glanced around with a bored look. "Why am I here again?"
A gleam appeared in the corner of the evil genius' glasses as he smiled. "I've brought you here on purpose-."
Eye-roll.
"to lure the turtles' here and into my trap! They have no choice but to save you and then I'll destroy them with new death-laser!"
"Wannabee."
"Excuse me?" the man said and Alex replied. "Man, no offense, but that plan must be written in page one of all of the evil villain guides. 'Kidnap your enemies' close friends so they have no choice but to come?'," she snorted with another eye-roll. "Laaaaaame."
"I…but I really tried to…shut up!" Baxter pouted slightly, which was a very childish act for such a grown up. "Everyone has to start somewhere! Why should I listen to you?"
"Because as far as I'm concerned, Shredder kidnapped April once and the Kraang had her twice. But you couldn't even if you tried your hardest," the teen snickered. "Don't feel sorry, I actually wanna thank you for not putting her in danger."
Baxter Stockman was a man known for letting his emotions getting the better of him, and that was proved when he looked ready to lose it right then and there. With a last call of 'unoriginal cliché villain', Alex sent him shouting with frustration and irritation away through the large front door and the mousers all glared at one another in confusion since they didn't know to stay and guard the prisoner or go comfort their daddy.
…
Donatello and Michelangelo had decided as always to stay out of their bigger brothers' argument with the youngest fascinatingly listening and the older looking ready to face-palm any minute now.
"You're just as fake a hero as those you watch on TV!"
"Am not! And even so, it's better than to act tough and scary all the time when deep down you're afraid of tiny things like bugs!"
Raph's eyes had grown wide as a gasp was heard somewhere, Mikey letting out a dramatic 'oh shell, he did not say that!' as Donnie finally burrowed his head in his hands.
…
What the hell is taking them so long? They should've been here by now! Alex thought grumpily thought as she started losing the feeling in her arms and legs. Fine. Guess a girl is left to fend for her own ass now.
Using her limited knowledge about mousers, she managed to take off the bracelet she wore on her wrist and whistled loud enough for the tiny robots to hear, but not enough to alarm the sulking Stockman. They glanced at their prisoner and soon their gazes caught onto the piece of accessory that Alex had in her possession as she waved it slightly.
"Want it?" she grinned. "go get it, my babies."
She bend her hand backwards as much as she could and let her fingers do the rest as they swung the bracelet into the air and made it land a lever on the control panel nearby. The robots instantly went after the thrown piece of plastic as though they were dogs after a stick; fighting each other in order to reach their target and pressing buttons with their mechanic feet. One jaw clenched around the lever and brought it down to retrieve the bracelet around it and into its mouth, while the restraints holding the prisoners wrists and ankles opened and the teen was finally free.
The robots were too busy as they were fighting amongst themselves to notice the teenage girl that was walking away contently with her hands stuffed inside her pockets.
…
The next day, Alex didn't appear in the lair. It was quite a concern for the turtles because when they actually did try to enter Stockman's lab, they found the mousers still fighting and Stockman gone away to visit his mother.
"So, she freed herself? Wow, I don't know what to say to you guys," April scolded lightly as soon as she was filled on the news. "She's probably real mad at you all because you never came."
"Hey, it wasn't like we didn't try and we actually did come. Like, two hours later," Mikey said whilst playing the games on his T-phone. Suddenly, he received a message that threw him off his current game and then his eyes widened as he read it.
"Uh, guys, I think I just received a death message."
Three other beeping sounds emerged from the other T-phones and the same reaction came across the remaining turtles.
"You really did make her mad."
"You can say that again."
