Swain gazed out into Noxus, pondering his latest intelligence reports Analyzing the validity of reports from scouts that lacked the other half of a brain. Staying bounds ahead of your opponents meant access to precise, reliable information, to say nothing of loyal soldiers.

The time was soon, for Noxus to become his Noxus. Careful steps were required domestically and in dealing with Demacia.

The wooden door to his private chambers creaked as they opened to permit two individuals, a woman with short white hair equipped with a rune blade only slightly smaller than herself strapped to her back, along with one of his personal guards.

"Commander Riven, as you requested general" the guard said.

Swain motioned with a wave of his hand for the guard to leave. With a flawless salute, the soldier turned and left, shutting the door and leaving the two.

Swain shuffled across the room towards his subordinate, stopping just close enough to violate her space. "I have a task for you Commander. You've been briefed on the so called 'dragon of Demacia', correct" Swain asked rhetorically of the woman.

"Yes General Swain" she said in a soft voice that cloaked her strength and experience.

Swain spoke flatly to her "Your assignment will be to capture the dragon alive. Temporary command of the 10th infantry regiment has already been transferred to you".

Riven saluted "I will not fail. But I must protest as to how Noxus is using Demacian traitors, there's no hono-" her disapproval was silenced by a swift backhand across her face, causing her to recoil back.

Swain could taste the hatred in her stare as she recovered herself. "Know your place commander. See General Du Couteau at first light for the specifics. Dismissed" Swain uttered in a harsh voice.

"Yes, general" was all Riven could manage before saluting and exiting Swain's quarters. Shuffling back to his balcony, Swain resumed his scheming.

That one will be trouble one day. No matter, she will be dealt with in time Swain thought to himself, the slightest wisp of a smile crossing his mask-like face.
