"Kill him," the disembodied voice commands harshly in Teyla's ear.
The minutes fly by like milliseconds as she points her weapon toward her trusted friend. John's disbelieving eyes lock on to hers, and she can't help but tremble. If she doesn't pull the trigger, more than a hundred people will die. But this is John; the man that has saved her life so many times, her companion, her Colonel, her people's savior. Logic wraps her finger around the trigger even as her heart screams deafeningly in her mind. She can't, she can't, she can't… But she must.
"Forgive me, John."
