Chapter 20
With a plan in mind, they wanted to waste no more time.
Ruby would return to the arena of the magic competition. Crystal would go to Gold, so she can take care of the homeless mages of Conordia (insofar Gold does cooperate). And Blue and Yellow would return to the No Man's Land and ask the wandering rogues for help.
This was the plan. But the plan changed when a green eyed man stood before theirs door.
"I´m Green. ", he introduced himself. Politely he smiled at Blue, but she didn´t smiled back. His smile seemed false, so she didn´t trusted him.
"I don´t know any Green." she said and wanted to slam the door in his face, but his foot was faster. Damn, Blue cursed inwardly.
"I´m here cause I want to become acquainted with you." he said this time more unfriendly. "Are you the Avatar?"
Huh? He knew too much. Not good. Blue didn´t like it when unsympathetic people knew too much.
"The Avatar is a legend. Did your mother never told you, to not believe in fairy tales?" she snap at him, while she tried to squish his foot with the door.
"Can you please stop?" he asked her, but she didn´t listened, whereupon he sighed in annoyance. "I think I started this conservation in the wrong way."
"I think you should go now."
"Blue what´s the matter?" she heard Crystal shouting from the room.
"A creepy wants to sell us cookies." She shouted back. Green looked at her dumbfounded and just shook his head.
"So you are Blue, the water Princess?" he still tried to held a conversation with her. But Blue had enough.
"Oh, a smart one. Sorry dude, we really have no time for you right now. Come back another time or never, it doesn´t matter. We have to save the world now, so by."
Rubbing his temples, Green murmured some mean things. Blue believed to have heard Perky Girl, but wasn´t too sure about it. All in all he was a very unsympathetic guy and Blue didn´t wanted to have anything to do with him. So can he go now?
"Okay, one last time." he said quietly to himself. "I know that you want to form a coalition with the earth king, I want to overthrown the king, so I think we could help each other out. You understand? One good turn deserves another."
Blue looked at Green and pulled her brow. For ten seconds they looked each other in the eyes, before she kicked his leg.
"I refuse!" she shouted and slammed the door.
They had a plan. There was no chance, that Blue would change her plan because of some unsympathetic guy.
There was no point, Red decided for himself. His search for the Avatar was pointless if he doesn´t know anything about her. It would be for the best if he returned to the fire nation and have a clarifying talk with Cheren.
He needs a picture in mind.
But at the same time he was afraid to come home empty-handed. His father would surely be disappointed. On the other hand, this would be nothing new. Anyway he was the biggest disappointment in his father's live.
And for that he should show gratitude? Cheren had no idea…
When he walked through the streets of the vast city, he thought about what would happen, if he never comes back home. Would his father search for him? Would his father even be interested?
Despite and discontent awaked in Red the more he thought about his father. But the next moment all those emotions vanished when he thought about those poor homeless refugees in Conordia. Red didn´t wanted to end like them. He was afraid of having no Place he could return to. In the end Red was still a coward. He would still come back home whenever he has to.
"Who was the guy at the door this morning?" Yellow asked Blue when they left behind the gates of the city. They have long considered whether they leave the city or not, but came to the result, that they need as much allies as they could get.
"A creepy guy." Blue answered.
"Creepy? Why that?"
"Why? It is so, believe me. You know every woman has something that you call intuition. And my intuition told me, that we should stay away from this guy."
Intuition? Yellow thought about this word and found herself intimately thinking about Red. When she was with Red her intuition told her, that she could trust Red. Did this mean that something was wrong with her intuition?
"So this guy wanted to help us and you send him away?"She asked Blue.
"That's right."
"Even though we need all the help we could get?"
"Exactly."
"And that because of your intuition?"
"Yeah…"
Maybe it was a good thing that Yellows intuition didn´t seem to work right.
Green had a terrible bad mood. And he needed very urgently a tea.
This perky girl, he cursed again and again, while he tried to calm himself down with a tea.
As the grandson of a highly lord he wasn´t used to be treated like this.
"You look angry, sir." stated Diamond.
"Do I look like a creepy?" he asked instead of giving his underling an answer.
Diamond starred at Green with wide eyes.
"A bit." He murmured after a short delay.
"Can´t you lie for once?"
Diamond shook his head and smiled gently.
"I know that you appreciate honesty, so I will not lie to you."
Diamond was too pure for this world and definitely too good for Green. Sometimes Green wondered how an honest person like Diamond could be such a good spy. But Green was glad to have Diamond by his side.
"And what should I do now? I thought the whole thing with the Avatar would be a perfect opportunity for us. Would we have the Avatar at our side, the highly lords out there would trust us as well and would finally rise against the mad kind and elect my grandfather to the next king. But somehow I messed up everything and the princess thinks now that I´m a creepy."
"You should approach her again."Diamond suggested.
"So she thinks that I´m a stalker?"
"Help her to find enough allies for the Ignisis Dome invasion."
"Should I not rather stop them? A dead Avatar brings me nothing."
Diamond looked at Green unhappy and shook his head.
"How should they trust you, if you only think about your own interest? Support the invasion, show the world what a good leader you are."
Easier said than done, because the first thing Green asked himself was, if he even was a good leader. But Diamond had a point. The successes of his own plans were directly linked to the success of the invasion. Not only would he earn the trust of the princess, also the earth nation would finally open to the outside world if a coalition with the water nation would become reality.
This Nation could have a future.
"Fine." Green said. "Diamond send Roxanne to the Avatar and the princess."
"And what are you doing, sir?"
"Business."
The cell opened and Lyra stepped in. She placed the food in front of Silver and knelt silently. Silver looked at Lyra briefly and began than to eat his food.
Neither she nor he said a word.
The food was gone quickly, but Lyra still sat in front of him. She chewed on her torn lip and seemed to wring with herself. Silver watched her and wondered if he should break the silence. He had quite a few things in mind that he wanted to tell her. But the silence between them was like a wall, which was hard to overcome.
"Thank you." Lyra suddenly said. "For yesterday… you know what I mean…"
Yeah he knew…
"I´m going to break out of here." Silver blurted out.
Lyra blinked at him. "What? Why are you telling me this?"
Good question… Nobody who was right in mind would have told this to his enemy. But did Lyra really belong to the enemies? Silver wasn´t sure, but in one thing he was sure.
"You won´t tell anyone. I know that."
Lyra paled, but nodded hesitantly.
"I won´t tell anyone."
She took a deep breath, straightened and looked Silver directly into the eyes.
"I will help you."
"Have you heard?"
"That thing with the Avatar?"
"Yeah exactly! The Avatar had an audience with the king?"
"Oh really? And got the Avatar banished?"
"Almost. But this is not what I want to tell you. The Avatar is crazy!"
"Huh? Why that?"
"The Avatar wants to break into the Ignisis Dome! Crazy, or?"
"That is more than crazy! This is a suicide mission!"
"Yeah… But if the Avatar is successful, then the king will form a coalition with the water nation."
"Oh my gosh! You mean Conordia will enter the war?"
"Yeah…"
"I need a drink."
Red shouldn´t had heard these words. But he had heard it.
They want to break in the Ignisis Dome…
He had to warn his father. He had to…
It was the duty of the son. It was the duty of the future king…
Hey Guys, it´s me after two years. Yeah I still exist xD
I´m really sorry that I left this Story untouched for two years. I wanted to give up this story... But... I couldn´t. Cause this story has so much potential. Even after two Years I couldn´t get this story out of my head. And all the comments I got from you while writing this story made me really happy. So I just have to continue this story.
I think this chapter might not be my best work but I will try my best for the future chapters. I have to get in the flow of the story again ^-^
Also I´m sorry for my creepy English, but for the start I will work without a Beta. I hope my English isn´t too cruel and that you can understand everything :)
So see you next time!
