'Morning already?'

Blue eyes glanced out the window as the light shone into the small motel room he was sitting in, "I guess it was tougher than Nee-chan thought it would be." He joked and pulled out the phone that his sister gave him.

He dialled the number that was already programmed on the phone and held it up to his ear, waiting for the other person to answer.

"Souta! My little man, what's up?"

"You know it's me?" Souta asked, easily able to recognise the voice on the other end, "Did Nee-chan buy this phone for me?"

"Sure did," The enthusiastic voice answered, "So, is Kagome in trouble or something?" He asked and Souta smiled.

"She went to help some man named Thor with his hammer thing since the American government took a hold of it," Souta said casually and shrugged his shoulders, "She said to call this number if she didn't come back by morning."

"Thor, you say?" The man hummed, "Sounds pretty familiar," He seemed to think out loud and Souta blinked, "Well, I doubt even Kagome can go against the American government on her own and expect to win," He snickered, "Don't worry, kid."

"Are you going to go and help her?" Souta asked, tensing a bit when he spotted a sleek black car pull into the motel's parking lot through the window before he pulled the curtain shut.

"I'm sure she will be able to get out on her own," He answered, "But yeah, I'm willing to help. Kagome really doesn't know how to stay out of trouble, does she?"

"No, she doesn't." Souta answered with amusement and when the door to the room began to open, he practically was underneath the bed before he could blink.

"That's the most obvious spot to hide, kid." The same voice said with a snicker and Souta hesitantly looked up to see bright green eyes.

"Shippou-san!" Souta gasped, glancing at the cell phone before looking at the redhead man once again, "How... did you get here so fast?" He only received a fanged smirk in return.

"Let's just go save your sister, kid."
