Air Horse Aces Ch.21

Chapter 21: The Night Light of Luna.
Shortly after Kira revealing her secret to HandyFlash and telling him everything about Razor Whisk's plan, he had to tell Neon Nimbus about this. But he wanted nothing bad happening to Kira if he mentions her name, so he lied to Neon Nimbus about the Rantan Leader is responsible for telling him all the information. Seishin, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy kept their mouths shut about it as well, even though Rainbow Dash didn't like it a bit. But she mostly agreed on this favor. HandyFlash was planning on telling his entire squadron, but he thinks it would be too much.
Neon Nimbus noticed the clock was around 2 o'clock PM. After what HandyFlash told her about Razor Whisk trying to destroy Princess Luna and the moon, she knew they only had until dead night until the moon is fully exposed. Failure was not an option on this because Princess Celestia would be devastated if they failed to save her. Razor Whisk was surely dangerous now for what he's doing. She planned to do briefing in one hour and launch at two hours because of aircraft rearming and she had to start scanning around Zial's border in the map. The problem is, she doesn't know where the weapon or Luna is being held. She tried looking for large open areas that can be a possibility.
HandyFlash heard that Neon Nimbus was struggling to predict what was the weapon and where it was located in the border. So he decided to go to Kira again to get more information.
Kira told HandyFlash to give her the letter Evanesce sent to her. What HandyFlash didn't know was the letter is a hollow code type letter. Which means you need to say the right words to turn a page that is magically on there. Theses days, those kind of letters were more expensive than ordinary papers. The code that Kira said to the hollow code letter was 'Night Light'. Evanesce's writing disappeared like invisible ink from the paper. Instead of letters, it showed a map throughout the whole thing. A red dot was on the center location of Zial's border.
"It's right at the Tumane River." Kira pointed at the dot. (Referring to the Tumen River in the Russia-North Korea Border.)
"I've never been to the Tumane River before." HandyFlash said.
"Well looks like your lucky day. Because you're going." Kira looked at him seriously.
HandyFlash looked at the map again. "Can you at least tell me what this weapon he is using?" He asked.
"I see you're curious." Kira took it from him and cleared her throat. "Just to save everypony." She smiled weakly.
Kira said the words 'Blue Scythe'. The map disappeared and revealed a stunning looking blueprint. The object was shaped like a cylinder with tesla coils surrounding the sides. Solar panels were on both left and right of this thing. It also had jet engines and a large antenna on top. HandyFlash scanned the whole paper like a colt or filly playing a video game. He's never seen anything like this before. If his father was here, we would just be speechless.
And to think this was a place just to store the formally sunspot source for Luna long time ago.
"This…will destroy the moon?" He had a shaky voice.
Kira nodded. "This is the Blue Scythe. It stores solar power from the sun because of those blue panels. Believe me, I didn't think they would exist. If the power is on the maximum, the jet engines that were put there would let it float above in 25,000 feet for greater affect. Then Luna's power will create a powerful beam that is aiming directly on the moon to destroy it. Thanks to Evanesce, she designed and modified a few thing for Razor Whisk. The jet engines and solar panels weren't on there originally when Razor Whisk was working on the Sunspot source." She explained.
HandyFlash looked at her. "Is there anything else? Like a way to stop it?"
She shook her head. "Hate to tell yah. That's all I know. My suggestion is the tesla coils is the weak spots. Can't fire without power you know."
"Plus shooting inside the barrel of where the laser is coming is pretty useless. Luna's power in a beam will not stop by any planet element."
Kira handed over the letter and gave a serious look. "Give this to General Neon Nimbus as soon as possible. Can you not fail that task?"
"Yeah. Thank you." HandyFlash bowed and tossed a small bag at her. Containing 230 bits of Equestrian Currency.
"I don't need your money. You helped me a lot anyway ever since I was shot down." Kira said.
"Stop denying." He winked and walked off.
She sighed. "That Stallion…"
In the briefing room, the squadrons participating in the operation were listening to Neon Nimbus and Cora. Seishin thankfully made a copy of The Blue Scythe from the letter, and made it Three Dimensional on the Hologram table as it was above the map. It displayed the parts of the weapon as everypony stared at it in amazement. They couldn't believe this was just a place to put the sunspot source long time ago. But now, Razor Whisk turned it into a weapon. Sounds like HandyFlash's type of idea for improvising weapons, but he would never make one unless necessary for his country. Seishin explained about what the weapon was used for and didn't mention how they got the intel because of HandyFlash ordering her to not say anything about Kira. She mentions they cannot fail to destroy this weapon. Because if they don't, Equestria will suffer the lost of the moon and Princess Luna.
Devsalis bit her lip by what they were telling them. Razor Whisk has the guts and brains to destroy one of the most powerful rulers in the world? Orela was thinking that this has got to be the most intense plan that she has ever heard. Of course, she didn't want this to happen. Just like why she fought in the First-Changnian War. She didn't even bother thinking about what would happen if they didn't succeed. All of them knew the answer already.
Salin just wanted to go to the border and get that wretched weapon out of way. That border is named after his older brother, Zial, because of him. And he didn't want that Blue Scythe Weapon on it. Shining Armor could tell he was too stimulating to go. So he had to keep an eye on him, so did Orela.
Neon Nimbus continued. "Ahem. Anyway, the whether predictions from Seishin is that during mission launch, it will be partly cloudy. Why is that important? I found out that drones and their cheap Ack Acks (AA Guns) are not able to detect our planes inside the clouds." She said.
"Now we know how to evade drones more easily." Thunderlane commented.
"If it was clear skies?" She smirked.
Thunderlane stayed silent. "Nevermind."
"As I was saying, various flyers will be going directly to the Tumane River to engage drones or other flying rogues to weaken the defenses a bit." Neon Nimbus looked at all the flight squadrons. "The ones I trust to secretly come to the clouds is Arion Squadron."
"Us?" HandyFlash asked.
"Yes. The nine of you. This makes me move on to the next course." Neon Nimbus tapped her hoof as Seishin zoomed the map to the Blue Scythe's location.
It showed the Blue Scythe that was surrounded by ten antennas that were about 200 meters away. It circled like it was one of the optional power sources to fire up the engines. But it was revealed it was possibly for the weapon itself. Not the engines.
"While the others are engaging the fighters, Arion Squadron will aim at these antennas immediately instead of the fighters after they finish going past the clouds." She said. "These antennas are possibly where the power is coming from just like the solar panels. They say the solar panels are just for the engines, but the antennas are for the beam along with Princess Luna."
"So the other squadrons are distracting the drones while we take down the antennas?" Flitter finished.
"100% correct."
Devsalis raised her hoof and looked at her veterans from the war. "What about the ground forces?"
"They'll stay in the AAC-113. But I'm sending this thing in as well just a few miles away from the battle zone so we can provide long range missile support." She answered.
Seishin nodded. "There will be no doubt that we will get under fire. So I'm putting them on some manual AAs outside. And don't worry, the glass window surrounding you is reinforced."
"This mission should be pretty quick without any screw ups. Lets make it that way."
"You heard the General." Cora looked at the teams.
Neon Nimbus turned off the map and looked at all of them. "This is the last location where Princess Luna is being held. Since she's the battery of the Blue Scythe, this has to be it. We're not losing her by some sorry dumb stallion named Razor Whisk. Do an outstanding job on this mission, you will be remembered on this day." She saluted as everypony including Queen Devsalis did the same. "Let's do the job. HUA?"
"HUA!" The pilots said.
"HOOYAH!" The Equestrian Special Forces from Shining Armor's team said. (Sometimes they say "HOOFAH!")
"URA!" The Changnian Spetslos from Salin's team said.
Everyone left the briefing room as soon as they were dismissed. The ground troop had the easier job than the air force in this OP. But they mostly hoped on finally getting Princess Luna out of there. She's suffered for too long.
The clock was now at 5 o'clock PM, which means they had one hour to get ready. Neon Nimbus walked to HandyFlash and his team and bowed her head to say 'Good luck and don't let me down.'. HandyFlash chuckled and acknowledged her. Since it was the first time to become a General in a new unit for Pegasi ponies, they didn't want her to be let down.

Luna couldn't move. Not even half a lift for her wings. She's been staying in her usual spot ever since her capture by Razor Whisk and the others. The feeling of agony from the abuse of Razor Whisk was still on her. Not getting beat up or anything, but the shock machine. Poor Luna helplessly tried to get up as best as she can, but failed when she collapsed…again. This was humiliating and sad for her because of a mere stallion.
Her mane was a mess, her eyes showed tiredness from the lack of sleep, and her wing feather's were mixed up. Celestia would cry from the looks of this on her sister.
The door opened which made Luna cover her eyes in fear and hoped for no more of that shock machine. The voice of the stallion she hated was there and laughed evilly down at her.
"Don't be afraid your majesty. This will all end soon." Razor Whisk grinned evilly.
"Why you tell me this now? Savage." Princess Luna growled.
Razor Whisk closed his eyes. "Tonight is the night…when your symbol is destroyed."
Luna's eyes widened and froze. Did she just hear what she thought she heard? "Thou shall not destroy my moon."
"And how would you stop me and the others?"
Luna gritted her teeth and glared at him angrily. She just wanted to hoof punch him right on his teeth that it will wake up his dentist.
"You should be happy. Because this will be the last time you'll see me." He walked out the door leaving Princess Luna alone.
She just lied there and prayed for somepony to save her. For what Razor Whisk told her, she knew that he was going to destroy her and the moon.
"Somepony…please help…me…" She whispered.
Thirty minutes have passed and the pilots went on their planes just to ready themselves before they launch in thirty more minutes. The ground forces however went to the turrets and began practicing how to use them. They were learning pretty quickly just like their training when they entered the military. There wasn't even one goof off by either the pilots or ground fighters while continuing to get ready.
On the bridge, Neon Nimbus went on the intercom and called HandyFlash and his team over to the bridge. Good timing since they finished a quick meal. They made their way to the bridge and wondered why they have to report there. Usually all pilots have to report to the deck and prepare themselves. So it seems this was more important than getting ready as it sounds like.
HandyFlash opened the door to the bridge and saw familiar faces. Twilight with Applejack, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie were standing by one of the rulers of Equestria. Obviously, Princess Celestia was there as well. All of them were in surprise to see them again. But…why now?!
"Your majesty? Twilight? What are you all doing here?" HandyFlash asked.
Rainbow Dash went forward. "Yeah what gives? I thought this was an operation that ponies that are not in the military should know."
Neon Nimbus explained. "Princess Celestia got noted that we found Luna's location. So she couldn't help but tell Twilight, Applejack, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie. She got carriage and went over to the AAC-113 thanks to Handel's radar."
Princess Celestia frowned and nodded. "I apologize. But I just wanted to help and see my little sister again. I've been worried sick that I couldn't even sleep well."
Neon Nimbus nodded. "Princess Celestia will be with us while fighting. I couldn't say no because she really wanted to go."
Twilight walked forward. "We do as well. We'll help out with the defenses in this craft." She said.
Applejack smiled. "Ah have been a hard worker ever since ah was a filly. A little bit of work of me defending this thing will help."
"Yes well, just ask me if you need assistance." Rarity bowed her head.
"And after this, we can celebrate a mission accomplished thingy!" Pinkie Pie nodded in a fast pace.
Neon Nimbus smiled by their ways of helping out in the AAC-113. A few more hooves will do the trick in this. She went to the speaker and warned all pilots and forces to ready themselves.
"Mission launch in 25 minutes. I repeat, 25 minutes." She said on the speaker.
Princess Celestia walked in front of the nine pilots and looked at them in a worried expression. "Looks like this is it on rescuing Luna. Please stay safe and bring her back." She said.
HandyFlash looked at all eight of his pilots and smiled. They all nodded at him saying they are ready. HandyFlash bowed as they all did the same. "We will. You can count on us."
As soon as the mission was now launched, all pilots went to their planes and the ground fighters went on the AA guns on various sections of the AAC-113 as it throttles to the border. Squadrons went in line and awaited their take off. Task Force X pilots went first in line to launch and the regular pilots went second. When they reach the air, there will be three groups of planes heading to the border to engage the drones in different directions. It would be too crowded if they all stayed as one group. As they kept their eyes peeled, they passed by some clouds and smoothly flew minor turbulence. Looks like Seishin's prediction was right.
For Arion Squadron, they went into a higher altitude where the clouds are thick. As soon as they got inside a cloud, they focused on their radar because of the poor visibility inside. The radar was their only way to follow the waypoint and flights. It was kind of scary for HandyFlash, Fluttershy, Thunderlane, and Flitter because of how foggy it was. They were worried what will pop up or what will hit them.
They got pass the one cloud and saw a beautiful sunset in the horizon. Like always, they enjoy the views in the air. Orange and yellow light letting a bit as purple and black clouds covered some parts of it. The moon was partly visible as the bright white light and the craters that shape Luna was getting more visible. Hoping they get to see the moon again, they didn't want to fail this.
Neon Nimbus followed the flights as the Shining Armor and his friends were in the AA guns scanning their surroundings. Twilight and the rest were still on the bridge observing the skies in front of them. Celestia sat down on the captains chair as she tried to calm herself down. This was the first time for her to see an aerial battle just like Queen Devsalis in the bridge as well. The pilots do this to defend their country or fight for their reasons. Or by moving on to the next level of flying.
Neon Nimbus looked at the map and saw they were getting closer. She read the estimate time on the bottom right corner and picked up the radio.
"Two minutes to destination." She said.
HandyFlash looked at his hoof and lightly punched his chest for good luck. Also looked at his photo of his mother, father, and two little sisters. He nodded at the picture and continued his flight. Fluttershy did the same with hers just like the others. They prayed that this wasn't going to fail.
Comet Streak looked back on his plane as Daisy gave him a nervous look. He nodded as he understand ed what she was trying to say. They hoped for the best luck as well as the pilots. Aero Vought Corsair hoped he wouldn't screw up as Shadow Flight's leader. Vampiric and Angelic Heavens breathed in and out slowly.
"Arion flight, reduce speed. Let the others get the drones first." Neon Nimbus ordered.
"Arion acknowledges. All planes, best of luck."
"You too Colonel."
As they got closer to their destination, a tall structure was seen in the distance as small parts were flying around it. The structure was an obvious answer to their question. It was the Blue Scythe along with some drones flying around it. The closer they got, the bigger the weapon was. It was terrifying to look at, but now was not the time to talk about it.
"There it is. The Blue Scythe." HandyFlash said.
"Yeah. It won't be anymore when we get there." Rainbow Dash glared at the weapon.
A drone patrol that was closer to the group noticed them on radar and broke towards them to engage.
"Ma'am. Drones have spotted us. We're engaging!"
"Copy that. Arion Squadron, get in the clouds." Neon Nimbus said.
"We already are General." HandyFlash said as he led his flight through the clouds.
They all kept their eyes mostly on the radar and checked outside just in case they don't hit each others planes. Sounds of missiles being launched, explosions, and jet engines roaring was heard beneath them as the drones engaged the other pilots. Minor turbulence in the clouds as it got more darker because of the sun setting.
"Arion Team, stay in the clouds and engage until you are in affective range of the Blue Scythe." Seishin said.
Back at the AAC-113, a small group of drones headed towards the front of the craft. They went past from the front and noticed a missile impact on the deck. Non injured. Shining Armor saw this and knew what to do in the job he got. He ordered all of his team to fire on the drones as Salin did the same. The drones were doing strafing runs which made the ones out on the deck take cover in shelter and let the ones in the Anti-Aircraft guns handle the situation.
"All units in the AAs. Open fire on the drones. Shred them into scraps!" Orela ordered Shining Armor and Salin's team.
"Everyone outside the deck, get inside for cover if you want to live!" Cora yelled.
On the bridge, Celestia and Devsalis were watching the aerial battle near the Blue Scythe Weapon. It was intense as explosions and falling metal pieces were flying around to a drop. Twilight and the rest of her friends focused on marking targets that were attacking the AAC-113.
HandyFlash and his team were almost close to the Blue Scythe. He switched to air-to-ground missiles from his holobattery. His friends did the same as well.
"All right. On my mark." HandyFlash said.
They all waited patiently for HandyFlash's signal to attack the Blue Scythe's antennas. They switched to thermal to have a good visual on the spots they had to attack. Each antenna was marked one each of them to attack at the same time. HandyFlash noticed they were about to exit the last cloud, so it was now or never.
"Okay. MARK!" HandyFlash called out and flipped his plane upside down and descended at his target. His eight teammates followed him in and descended with him.
They all launched their missiles at the same time. Nine missiles headed straight for their chosen targets, but only four hit and five missed the target.
Emerald Night saw them attacking the weapon while he was with the other squadrons taking care of the drones. "There they are! Keep at em!" He continued to fight off the drones.
"Arion Squadron, aim only at the antennas. The others got our back." HandyFlash gave the simple order.
"You heard him. Lets see if The Wing Feathers of Celestia and Luna can destroy this thing." Rainbow Dash attacked another antenna.
HandyFlash saw only one drone heading to intercept them. He turned towards the piece of metal and fired a missile. It was destroyed as the drone that was about to crash hit one of the destroyed antennas, making it collapse.
Fluttershy fired her guns at one of the antennas, but the guns weren't good enough to deal off the damage resistance it had. Cloudchaser decided to help her out and did a strafe run on it. They both launched missiles as one hit directly in the top and one on the body. It collapsed as the Blue Scythe started acting different.
"I think it's damaged and losing power. Keep going!" Blossomforth said.
"No duh. That's our orders from Gavin." Thunderlane called HandyFlash by his Middle Name.
Blossomforth rolled her eyes and fired one missile and struck one, only damaging it. Derpy and Dumbbell fired on the same antenna that Blossomforth was targeting and finished it off for her. Seven were left, so the job had to still keep going.
The status on the operation was going smoothly. The flights that were engaging the drones to distract them has no losses, but some withdrew from the airspace due to heavy damage. The AAC-113 was not having trouble with the drones much thanks to the marksmanship of the special operators in the military. Also thanks to Twilight and her other friends for helping out in the air as well. And lastly, the Arion Squadron was handling the Blue Scythe well.
It was pretty suspicious because there were not any drones or other rogue pilots for reinforcements to defend the weapon. That just made HandyFlash and Neon Nimbus shake off the idea just like what everyone else was thinking.
On the medical deck of the AAC-113, Kira so happens to have a small radio thanks to the nurses office to have a spare one and modified it a bit for good signal. She was just listening to the radio and nothing else. Deep down on her, she kind of missed flying with the pilots and aces.
"This is Arion 3. We got five of them." Fluttershy said.
"Half of them are destroyed. Keep going!"
"Better hurry. I've taken heavy damage." Vampiric Heavens said while being chased by a hostile bandit.
"Then return to base dumb nuts." Angelic Heavens laughed.
FireBlaze contacted Vampiric Heavens. "Get up here. I'll defend you."
"Arion 2, missile sent." Rainbow Dash fired a missile at the antenna and destroyed it as it rumbled down. That made the Blue Scythe to start acting strange. It looked like it was shaking like it was losing balance.
"If Lighteyes was here, he would have better effectiveness than us." Dumbbell said.
"Well, too bad he's in Manehattan with Shining Dawn and Night Swift." Cloudchaser said.
HandyFlash turned around to keep damaging the Blue Scythe. "Get your heads in the game Wing Feathers. We're not done yet."
"You guys are making miracles come true. How do you do that?" Shining Armor laughed on the radio.
Princess Celestia's smile can be felt from everyone. So does Devsalis'. Guess there was hope for this.
Thunderlane made his holobattery switch to bombs. But what was sacrificed for the bombs in the holobattery was it takes more longer than a missile because of the size. The unicorn magic in the battery wasn't that advanced yet. He dropped five bombs, which was the maximum amount to drop in one go. All five bombs hit his target.
Rainbow Dash and Cloudchaser dived down to one antenna and fired missiles at the same time. Immediately, they fired guns to damage it a bit. They pulled up and saw the missiles hit their target as it fell apart. Brilliant strike on the top.
"Two more! Keep going! The Scythe looks like its falling apart!" Flitter said in excitement.
"We will do this everypony!"
For their last trick, HandyFlash ordered them to regroup on him and prepare a final strafe. The two remaining antennas were defenselessly right there. Rainbow Dash, Dumbbell, Flitter, and Thunderlane took the one on the left. Derpy, Fluttershy, Blossomforth, and Cloudchaser chose the one on the right. HandyFlash, he locked one missile on each of the two targets.
Time froze until…
"Spread the wings." HandyFlash said.
All nine of the Wing Feathers fired their missiles as it headed straight for their target. A trail of smoke was just heading towards the antennas until…BOOM! TARGET ANNIHILATED!
They pass by the Blue Scythe at close range as some parts of the weapon just collapsed.
Salin stared at them as they were seen in a far distance. "Mother of Marey…" He was in a lost of words.
Neon Nimbus picked up her radio…speechless. Until she recovers her breath. "All drones drestroyed. AND The Blue Scythe has been destroyed."
Fluttershy looked around her plane and saw her members flying smoothly. "We did it?" Her voice rose. "WE DID IT!"
Cheering was heard in the radio. From everyone including the AAC-113's bridge as well with the defenders of the craft, and the pilots in the air. Arion Squadron cheered as well. Thunderlane sounded like he just wanted to eject and pop confetti all over the sky. That pretty much sounded like Pinkie Pie about now. Kira put down the radio and smiled. She looked out the window and lightly punched her chest.
Princess Celestia and Devsalis were just sitting there celebrating silently. Neon Nimbus ordered all flights to return to base for damage report and repairs. Hope Ash will not go in stress.
As all flights continued to withdraw, Arion Flight circled around the Blue Scythe. There's no doubt that the other flights can fight at the conditions of their planes.
Neon Nimbus looked at the radar and noticed something really strange. A lot of unknown dots have been spotted heading towards Arion Squadron. There were more than a lot to outnumber rogue squadrons of mercenaries from Razor Whisk.
"Colonel HandyFlash?" She contacted him.
"General?" He responded.
"Something's wrong."
"This is FireBlaze, we can assist if you want."
"Negative. Proceed to the base in Cloudsdale." Neon Nimbus refused.
Coming from the east, more drones arrived with some flights that were being flown by actual pilots. There was a lot of them. It was like a battalion of planes coming after one nine pony squadron. Hay. They were probably after them.
One group of the planes had an emblem of a Vulture biting a golden arrow with thunderbolts as it's feathers. A familiar emblem when they were at the Draconian Tail. Was it Vautour Squadron, the mercenary griffon pilots that Razor Whisk hired? It has to be.
There was one plane that had a different paint scheme that didn't match any of the pilots. But two drones were watching over it.
Next, another two familiar planes arrived. One thing they noticed is the drones didn't look ordinary like…Evanesce's. It's her! By her plane was obviously Mimic because of the paint scheme as well as her teams. This was going to be a challenge. Three mercenary teams hired by Razor Whisk is now off to finish them off once and for all.
Mimic smirked. "They pulled The Blue Scythe."
"All according to plan." Evanesce said. "Jacqueline, defend us if they're on us."
"Vautour Leader copies." Jacqueline said. Looks like she was the new leader since Rainbow Dash shot down the real on in the Draconian Tail.
HandyFlash looked at the weapon and back at the group of fighters. "According to plan? What the hay are you talking about?!"
"Silly Flashy. The antennas were not the power sources for the Blue Scythe. It was to lock it in place." She explained.
"W-Wait…then that means…" Fluttershy was interrupted.
The Blue Scythe began to move up, ascending. It revealed the engine that was helping the weapon go up. Going up slowly, it moved like a rocket in slow motion.
"This will be the last day of the moon!" One of Mimic's team yelled.
Princess Celestia got off the captains seat and looked out the window in terror. "Luna! No!"
"DAMN IT!" HandyFlash headed towards the Blue Scythe and fired missiles, but resulted no damage because of the shielding plates.
"It's just like you getting angry at Dimitri. Isn't it?" A blank female voice said. It sounded familiar like HandyFlash remembered it from before.
Kira in the medical deck froze from the voice. She shook like she was in a freezer. Trying to get the proper words out…she stuttered. "S-S…Sister…?"
"You! What are you doing?" HandyFlash glared at the plane.
"Doing my job." Kelly simply replied without any emotion.
Rainbow Dash growled. "I should've known about this! Dimitri shot you down and you survived, but now…YOU WON'T BE LUCKY THIS TIME!" She charged towards the group of bandits as all of Arion Squadron did the same.
"Prepare the Blue Scythe." Evanesce ordered.
"It will take some time. Possibly 15 minutes ma'am." Mimic said.
"No worries. I'll take away some time on these nine aces."
Princess Luna was inside The Blue Scythe! She was the battery for this weapon. Now she's about to use her own power to destroy the moon and possibly herself!
Luna felt her body tremble as she shook violently. It was like power getting sucked out of her body. This was not a good experience for her. She was getting weaker and weaker until she had no chance of standing up. Luna hit the cold metal floor unconscious.
Razor Whisk was in the other room looking from a glass window, smiling. That was just cruel of him to smile at what he's seeing.

Rainbow Dash hooves just wanted to fire all she's got on them, Fluttershy was so angry at them that tears flowed her vision, Thunderlane's eyes were blazing, Blossomforth was out for shredded metal, Derpy's brain box wanted to explode, Dumbbell just wanted to destroy them all, and Flitter and Cloudchaser were going to beat them in a pulp.
The Equestrian Aces…were now flaming up…like a Phoenix.
