Chapter 20 – Kotake's Promise and Dream

Normal POV

"So, Celine…" said Charmillion to his crush when they had breakfast together with Piceshia, "How do you think about today's breakfast? Is it delicious?"

"Perfect! I like it, Charmillion," Dark Celine smiled while she put the knife and fork that she used to eat onto the plate in front of her, "I think this castle will be a good home for me."

"Then…" Charmillion brought himself closer to the redhead, "Will you accept my love and become my Queen in this castle?"

"No," she immediately shook of her head, "I'm sorry, Charmillion, but I can't love you more than just a friend, just like Piceshia."

"Well, he really try a lot to get your love, Celine," Piceshia giggled, "Why don't you at least understand his feelings towards you?"

"You know, I just… love Anthony so much, and I want to try to persuade him to join with us, but…" she sighed before added, "Maybe if he still doesn't want to join with us, I'll try to think about your feeling, Charmillion."

"Okay, at least now you want to talk with me," Charmillion smiled, "and I'm so happy to be your friend."

"Even so, I want you to do something for me, to prove that you're really my friend," Dark Celine crossed her arms, "Let Piceshia call you with your name, because we're working together here."

"What?" Charmillion's eyes widened. He then gazed at Piceshia who just smiled teasefully at him and stucked her tongue out. The dark prince really wanted to protest, but he also didn't want to make his crush disappointed so he sighed, "Alright, Piceshia, you can call me with my name."

"Eh? Are you serious?" teased Piceshia, "So, from now on, you aren't my 'young master' anymore?"

"Uh… yeah, I'm serious," said Charmillion who then continued his answer with a whisper, "but you should promise to me that you'll make Celine loving me soon, understand?"

"I know it, I know it," Piceshia nodded, "So, Charmillion, would you like to take the desserts from the fridge for us? You want to looked gentle in front of Celine, right?"

'Ugh, Piceshia. She's so lucky that I thank her to bring Celine here, because if she failed, I wouldn't ever do this,' he thought, but then he walked into the kitchen and brought the desserts out from there.

When he walked back into the dining room with some ice cream and cake, Charmillion asked Dark Celine, "By the way, Celine, what will you do today? Do you want to start persuading Anthony to give his Rose Crystal to us?"

"Well, I want to meet him today, as my future self," replied the redhead who immediately changed her clothes with the different ones, "I think he'll agree to join with us, if I call him with his future name."

"Do you want to meet him now? How about your ice cream?" asked Charmillion while he noticed that Dark Celine walked back into her room, "and how about your cake? Don't you want to try it a bite?"

"I'm sorry, Charmillion, but I'm on a diet now," rejected her, "I'm so full just with our luxurious breakfast."

"Okay, but I just want to remind you something," said the dark prince, "If the portal in your room isn't working, just go to Rophelia's room and use hers."

"Eh? Can I use it?" Dark Celine poked her head out from her room, "But how about her? Doesn't she mind that I walk into her room and use her portal?"

"It's okay, Celine. She isn't there now," Charmillion assured her, "She was still in the basement to face her long punishment there."

"Oh, alright. Maybe I'll use it later," the redhead closed the door behind her, "Thank you, Charmillion."

A few minutes later…

A familiar red haired girl appeared in Misora City. She walked through the way which she used to cross to come to her school, but now it was different. Instead of her school uniform, now she wore a white formal shirt in a black coat with a dark pink bow tie and a grey skirt. She also wore white long socks and black shoes, plus a sunglasses which covered her darker magenta eyes.

She flipped her long hair, which she didn't tie in two buns like usual just to make others didn't recognize her.

'I should search Anthony here,' Doremi thought. As Dark Celine, she had a plan to persuade Kotake to join with her, 'I hope he still recognize me.'

She decided not to show her usual performance, to avoid some people that probably would ask anything about her not coming to school, that would be a trouble for her.

'Alright, maybe it's better for me to call him to come in a quiet place, so that I can persuade him there,' she thought, 'Even so, how can I call Anthony?'

The redhead thought the way to call her boyfriend, then found something in her memories. She then summoned her phone cell and used it to send a message to Kotake, invited him to come to the school's rooftop in the lunch time.

Kotake wondered if the sender of the message was Dodo, as he knew that the pink fairy disguised as his girlfriend at school, but then Dodo told him that she didn't send that message and even stated that Doremi's phone cell, which she brought to school this morning, was gone. That was when Kotake finally concluded that the sender of the message was Doremi herself.

Without thinking any further, Kotake dashed away to the rooftop where the redhead was sitting there, waiting for him.

"Doremi…" he called, "You… come to school to meet me?"

"Yes I do, An… I mean… Kotake," she tried to say it normally, "I come here to tell you something."

"What is it?" asked Kotake, but then he realized her motif, "Do you still want to persuade me to join with them? With the Rose Crystal Catcher? I'm sorry, Doremi, but even though you call me with my present name, I won't ever give my Rose Crystal to them."

"Oh, please… Kotake, give me your Rose Crystal so that we can be in the same team. You don't need to fight me, and it's good. I know that you're still loving me, so please, prove it by giving your Rose Crystal to me, so that I can collect it with mine."

"No, Doremi," replied Kotake while he looked at his girlfriend so deep in her eyes, "because I've already promised that I'll take your Rose Crystal back from them for your own sake, and I'll be glad if you realize with your fault and then join with me to take your Rose Crystal back from them."

"So you still want to keep your Rose Crystal? Even though I really beg you so much?" her tears was starting to drop, "How can you do this, Kotake? How can?"

"Because that is my promise with you, Doremi, and I should keep that promise," said Kotake, surely, "I'll keep my promise, even though that means I should fight you, because I know that it's the only way for me to do… to bring back your kindness to yourself. Your true self, Doremi."

"Oh, stop it!" Doremi screamed. She then changed back into Dark Celine and said, angrily, "You're really a stubborn, Kotake, and I don't have choice but to attack you!"

Dark Celine then duplicated the two pieces of black ribbons which tied her hair and threw it to the blue haired boy. In an instant, the two short ribbons changed into two young black mambas.

'Black mamba? So she really can summon those snakes, like in one of her nightmare…' Kotake reminded himself, then quickly transformed and summoned his sword to attack the two small but dangerous snakes.

A few minutes later, Aiko, Onpu, Momoko and Hana-chan followed Kotake to the rooftop, as they heard from Dodo that he met Doremi there. Without Dark Celine know, all of them transformed and then attacked her at the same time.

"Little Sparkling Star!"

"Aqua Needle Rain!"

"Exotic Fire Beams!"

"Supreme Lightning Bullet!"

Those attacks successfully beated Dark Celine, who fell onto the rooftop floor, and before she could attack them back, the four Majo Senshi immediately hugged her, with a hope that it would change her back into normal. All of them called her, "Doremi-chan!"

Suddenly, a warm light sparkled around them, which made Dark Celine's eyes widened.

'This warm light… it hurts my head…' Dark Celine then hold her head and screamed in pain, "AAAH…!"

Dark Celine hold her head so tight, but as the light faded, she loosened her grip and put her hands down to both sides of her body. Her eyes were brightened as she whispered, "All of you are my best friends… Ai-chan… Onpu-chan… Momo-chan… Hana-chan…"

'Does it really work?' Kotake raised his eyebrows as he watched his girlfriend started to change back to her real self, 'but how about the eight fragments?'

"My… Rose… Crystal…" said Doremi softly as her friends released her, "I… should take it back from them…"

"No!" Piceshia quickly came and grabbed the redhead's arms and looked into her eyes, "Look at me, Celine! Look into my eyes!"

"But, Piceshia," her eyes were darkened again, "They're my friends. Just like you. Sophie, Nicole, Mindy and Angeli…"

"They also bullied you with Serenity!" the pixie look-alike demon sharpened her gaze at Dark Celine's eyes and softened her voice, "Now, let's we go home. You should take a rest."

The redhead nodded slowly, and before Kotake and the four Majo Senshi could respond, both Dark Celine and Piceshia were gone.

Kotake's POV

"We're so sorry, Kotake-kun. We just… tried to bring her back, but…"

"Don't worry, Segawa," I assured the purple haired idol, "At least, all of you almost did it. If only Piceshia didn't come here to bring her away."

"But almost is never enough," replied Asuka, "We…"

"It's okay, girls. Don't blame yourself," I assured them, "However, it's better if we return to our main mission. I'll collect the eight fragments of the mind shields, and all of you just need to wait until I successfully collect it and bring her back to us, okay?"

I sighed, "Well, maybe it will take a few days, but I promise to you all that I'll bring her back here, with her kindness and also, her Rose Crystal."

"I understand," Senoo nodded, "We believe in you and Dodo to collect those fragments and bring her back."

"Kotake-kun, fight!" said Makihatayama with a weak smile, "I know you can do it."

"Thanks, Makihatayama," I replied, then we walked back into the class as the bell rang – of course, after we de-transformed.

On the way home, just like yesterday, I talked with Dodo about what happened at the rooftop. We also talked about the six remaining fragments which still hadn't appear yet.

"By the way, Dodo…" I have an idea in my mind, "Can you come to my house in your real form every night? Since tonight?"

"Eh?" Dodo tilted her head, "Kotake, what do you mean?"

"Well, so that I can quickly give the fragments to you. That way, we can collect the fragments faster," I explained, "So, Dodo, can you come to my house?"

"Okay, I'll come," she smiled, "We'll definitely collect those fragments and save her."

And that night, just like our promise, Dodo the pink fairy flew into my room from my window, right after I got the third fragment. I then gave the third fragment to her and she immediately went home, afraid that Doremi's parents or Pop would sneak into Doremi's room and found out that it was empty.

I sighed in relief then walked onto my bed, laid there and slept, and I got another dream tonight.

This time, at the same beach, I met Angelica again, but now, it was different. She was with someone else. A familiar girl with an angelic outfit…

I was surprised to see her now, so I hugged her tightly, "Doremi, I'm so glad to see you here."

"Me too, Kotake," she replied. I felt that she was crying, "Even though I can't be too long here, I'm so happy to see you."

"Wait a minute," I released her and asked, "I see that you're back at school, after all of your best friends hugged you, but then you disappeared when Piceshia came and looked at your eyes…"

"Well, she manipulated my memories," Doremi started to explain while swept her tears, "Exactly, she manipulated my 'Celine's side' memories. She made some illusions which I saw at the first time she attacked me yesterday, and… she added some new illusions at the rooftop."

"Can you tell me what you see in those illusions," I asked, "I really want to know."

"In the first illusion, she shown that Serenity was the one who commanded some of her friends to make fun of Celine, and… the second one shown that you… I mean… Anthony actually loved Serenity."

"I understand. That's why, you said something about that ball yesterday."

Doremi immediately shook of her head, "No, it wasn't me. It was… my Celine's side."

"What do you mean? You're Celine, right?"

"Yes, but my memories about myself were locked right when I saw that illusions, and that's why… actually, Dark Celine isn't my real self," said her, "When Piceshia successfully took over my Rose Crystal, she divided me into two parts, my real side and my Celine's side, and then… she manipulated the Celine's side memories."

"I see. Then your real side… were locked?"

She nodded, "When Ai-chan, Onpu-chan, Momo-chan and Hana-chan hugged me, they unlocked my real self, and that was why I could appear there, but then… Piceshia came and locked me again…"

"I understand," I hold her shoulders with both of my hands, "Then, how can we meet here?"

"When the others unlocked me, I wished that I could meet you like this, even though we just met in your dream, and… the eight fragments of my regenerated mind shields granted my wish, so I can meet you here," she smiled happily, and her eyes started to get wet again, "I miss you, Kotake."

"Hey, don't cry," this time, I swept her tears, "I just want to see you smile."

"However…" Angelica finally said something after she let me and Doremi talked with each other, "Now, both of you just could meet at each other here, in your dreams, Kotake-kun, so if you really want to meet her normally, you should collect the eight fragments and fuse it with Doremi-chan's Rose Crystal."

"I know it," I replied, then turned my attention at my girlfriend, hold her hands, "Doremi, you just need to be patient, okay? I'll save you soon."

Once again, she nodded, "I'll patiently wait for you, Kotake. Always."
