"I'm glad I finally get to sit down with you." Regina told Mulan as they sat across from each other at Granny's. "We live in the same house and yet I feel like I haven't seen you in ages."

Mulan smiled at her friend. "With the two of us working opposite schedules you're gone before I get up in the morning." Mulan had been doing a lot of second shift work at the police station and she had to admit she didn't mind the opportunity to sleep in most mornings. She never had been a morning person.

"How are things at the station?" Regina asked her. "Are you settling in?"

"Yeah" Mulan answered. "Emma and David have been great. I'm still working on my skills with a gun."

Regina smiled. It was nice to be able to sit down and talk with the woman who had quickly become her friend. She had been left on her own this Saturday as Robin and the boys went to the park with Neal to play baseball. Henry planned to stay overnight with Emma and Mulan and Belle had offered to take Roland out and keep him overnight at Belle's house so she and Robin could have a date night. This would be the first time they've been alone since coming back to Storybrook and Regina could hardly contain her excitement.

"So…" Regina started. "How is everything else? Have you seen Aurora lately?"

Mulan nodded. "I saw her for a few minutes yesterday. It's getting easier to see her…I no longer want to rip my own heart out every time I see them on the street now." She smiled. "Keeping busy has helped. I started volunteering at the Library a couple times a week with Belle. That woman has a system for everything. Let me tell you, if your ever in there browsing and move a book from it's place be sure and put it back exactly how you found it or there will be hell to pay."

Regina grinned. "That bad huh?"

Mulan laughed. "If you mess with her books you better believe it. I think her temper may even rival the Evil Queen ." She joked as Regina laughed. "Who knew that someone who is typically so sweet natured could have such a nasty temper. One time I put a non fiction book into the fiction section and you would think I had offended all civilization as we know it! It was three weeks ago and she still won't let me forget it!"

Regina shook her head. "It's always the quiet ones. Well at least she's passionate and I have to appreciate her organization, she is the only person in Storybrook that manages to get her paperwork into me on time." Regina stated primly.

Mulan shook her head. "Between you and her it's a miracle I'm still alive. I thought you were going to skin me alive at the last council meeting."

"If you would simply fill out your reports the day you make an arrest or write a ticket there would be no scrambling to catch up." Regina told her.

"Yeah, yeah…can we talk about something else? We are supposed to be having fun today not talking about paperwork and having you taking Belle's side in her crazy OCD about library organization."

"Are you two still looking for a place together?" Regina asked.

Mulan nodded as brought a fry to her mouth. "Yeah, she doesn't want to stay at Rumple's, she says there's just to many memories there. She's putting it on the market this week. We've looked at a couple places around town, but haven't found the right one yet. I would really be fine with anything, but she wants to have room for her books…a home library she calls it."

"You know there is not rush for you to move out." Regina told her.

"I know and trust me with as picky as Belle is being there will be no rushing about it. She's already talking about wanting an extra bedroom for guests and of course her home library, a kitchen big enough to entertain." Mulan laughed. "Give me a room and a bathroom and I'm set. It's good though, I guess living with her will help keep me civilized." She looked up to find Regina grinning at her. "What?"

Regina shook her head. "Nothing…just listening."

"No, you've got something going on in that head of yours that you seem to find amusing." Mulan told her.

"I'm just glad you have made some friends here." She continued to smile that sly grin.

"Belle is still in love with Rumple if that's what you are thinking, and I'm still getting over Aurora, not to mention that Belle doesn't even know that I'm attracted to women." Mulan continued when Regina only raised her eyebrow. "I'm gonna have to tell her probably sooner rather then later anyway and I don't even know if she is attracted to woman…Why are you still smiling?!"

Regina shrugged. "Sounds like you've thought about it a lot."

Mulan narrowed her eyes at her friend. "I hate you."

Regina smiled again and stole a fry from Mulan's plate. "No you don't, you love me."

"No I hate you…like really really hate you…You are the worst!" Mulan stated.

Regina laughed. "I know what hate looks like and that isn't it." When Mulan simply scowled at her she continued. "Have you tried just talking to her, You could start with you being in love with Aurora and being broken hearted and go from there." Regina laid her hand over Mulan's "Belle is a sweet girl and it's obvious that she is a great friend. I don't think you have to worry about her writing you off."

"I've thought that before…" Mulan said.

"And now you are in a completely different place with different people. I do know that if you are starting to have feelings for Belle that you owe it to yourself and her to talk to her about it." Regina told her.

"Because putting my heart on the table worked so well the last time." Mulan muttered.

"If you never put your heart out there Mulan, if you never take a chance then you won't be able to find love." Regina told her. "Trust me, I know."

Mulan let out a breath. "What if she freaks out and runs away and I lose yet another friendship?"

"Then she doesn't deserve your friendship." Regina told her. "I know you don't think so, but just the fact that you have feelings for Belle even if they aren't 'love' yet…it makes her a very lucky woman."

Mulan looked into the eyes of the one person who knew her secrets and didn't run away from her. "I have an idea." She started with a grin as Regina raised her eyebrow in question. "You could just dump Robin and run away with me."

Regina laughed. "Well darling I would but I have grown rather attached to him."

Mulan shook her head. "What if I promise to have all my paperwork turned in on time from now until forever…you know he won't."

Regina seemed to think it over for a moment. "Ask me again after the next town council meeting." she grinned.

"Will do" Mulan laughed. "Speaking of Robin how are things with the two of you?"

Regina smiled again. "Wonderful, I never thought I could be this happy." she told her and looked her pointedly in the eye. "And that is how I know that you will find happiness too! If the Evil Queen can find love dear anyone can."

Mulan rolled her eyes even though Regina's words did give her a sense of hope. "And being the Mayor again…are you settling in?"

"I am, now that I have brought some organization back to the place it's as if I never left." Regina told her.

"I'm glad we found a solution to the Arnold Douglas situation." Mulan told her. "Jury selection starts Monday. It will be good to watch that bastard get thrown across the line."

"It will indeed." Regina agreed. "I just hope the jury rules in favor of Jean."

"You don't think they will?" Mulan asked.

Regina shrugged. "I hope they will, but there are several in this town that still adhere to the old ways of the Enchanted Forest, viewing a wife as property instead of an equal."

"Things are so different here then they were there though. It seems to me that a lot of people I've heard seem to be on Jean's side." Mulan observed.

"Let's just hope it stays that way." Regina agreed.

Regina walked down the stairs of the mansion after changing for her date night with Robin. She'd decided on a royal blue sleeveless dress that cut off mid thigh with a plunging neckline that she hoped would keep him pleasantly distracted for their evening. He hadn't told her where he was taking her, but he did tell her to dress up. She'd chosen a pair of silver stilettos that should bring her close to eye level with him. She wore her hair down and had carefully done her make up wanting to look perfect for him tonight.

It occurred to her as she walked down the stairs that this would be the first time he'd ever seen her done up like this. They hadn't really been on many dates alone with each other. Having two children made it difficult at times to find time alone together and they typically settled for shared kisses by the fire after the children were in bed. She felt like a teenager all over again at the prospect of getting an entire evening alone with him.

The date had been his idea. He told her that he wanted to do something special for her and had made arrangements for the children and planned out their entire evening. He'd taken his clothes with him that morning and told her that he planned to pick her up at six. He had passed his drivers test after some coaching from her and was quite proud of the fact that he could now drive a car. He hadn't gotten one yet and today Regina had let him take hers to the park since he'd had both children with him. The weather had grown warmer and she had been quite content to walk to Granny's to meet Mulan.

Her heart jumped when she heard the doorbell. She laughed a little as she walked to the door and pulled it open smiling. "You have a key." she told him as she leaned against the door frame.

His grin faded a bit and turned more into a look of awe as he stared at her. "Wow." Was all he said as his eyes traveled down her body and back up to her face. "Regina you look…" He stopped as his mind seemed to short circuit.

Regina raised an eyebrow and grinned…mission accomplished she thought to herself. "I look?" She asked with a teasing hint to her voice.

"You look fantastic." He told her. "Beautiful, exquisite, amazing…honestly I don't think there is a word for how gorgeous you look right now." He smiled as he continued to stand in the doorway.

She smiled. "Are those for me?" She asked gesturing to the red roses he held in his hand.

"What?" He asked still completely distracted by how amazing she looked. He looked down at the flowers and Regina was amused to see the slight blush that came to his face. "Yeah…um" He held the flowers out to her and was pleased when she brought them up to her face to smell them. "I thought you might like them."

"I do." she smiled at him as she reached out her hand to his. "Do I get a kiss too?" She asked.

Robin grinned as he stepped forward. He brought his hand to her waist and brought his lips down to hers. She sighed as he traced his tongue alone her bottom lip asking for entrance which she quickly granted. She felt her knees weaken as their tongues dueled and what had started out a simple kiss turned heated quickly. He grinned at her when he pulled back breathless.

"We could always skip dinner and go straight to dessert." He told her.

"Mmmm" Regina said as she regained her composure. "That is quite the tempting offer, but I think I'm going to need some fuel before we start with…dessert." Her voice was slightly husky as she grinned at him seductively.

Robin smiled and placed another soft kiss on her lips. "And I think I would like to look at you in that dress for a bit longer before I attempt to get you out of it."

Regina laughed. "If you think this dress is something, wait until you see what's underneath it."

Robin groaned…this night might actually kill him. "Let's eat fast."

He'd had a table set up for them at the gazebo in the park. The gazebo had been redecorated with hanging lanterns and a table that was lit by candlelight. The unusually early spring air made the atmosphere perfect. He'd had Granny cook up a special meal of Chicken Alfredo with Caesar Salad.

Robin smiled at her from across the table. "Regina you truly look stunning this evening. How in the hell am I out on a date with a woman as beautiful as you?"

Regina smiled at him. "Maybe because you are a wonderful man that thought up all of this just to make this night special for me." She laid her hand on his. "I love you."

"There is nothing more beautiful sounding to me then those words coming out of you mouth." He told her and brought her hand to his lips. "I love you Regina. I am the luckiest man in the world."

"Well nights like this certainly make all other offers pale in comparison." she teased.

"Other offers?" he asked with a dangerous glint to his eye.

Regina laughed. "Well, Mulan did promise today to have all her paperwork in on time if I would just dump you and run away with her."

"She did, did she? He grinned. "And what did you say?"

Regina laughed. "I told her to ask me after the next council meeting."

Robin once again brought her hand to his lips. "I guess I better get my ass in gear on the paperwork then."

"Mmmhmm," she said after swallowing another bite of her food. "Although tonight is a major point in your favor."

"It's not even over yet." he told her.

Regina raised a brow and grinned. "What else did you have in mind?"

"Just a little something that might make you change your mind for good about running into the sunset with anyone else." he told her, but then quickly changed the subject. "I had fun with the boys today and happily I am better at baseball then basketball so hopefully I won't get made fun of when I'm on the field."

"What did you guys do after you were finished?" She asked.

Robin shrugged. "Oh, we had a little pizza and talked about guy things."

"Guy things?" She asked as she finished off her meal. "What kind of guy things?"

Robin grinned. "You know, sports…girls…we talked about you actually."

She raised her eyebrow. "What about me?" She wanted to know.

"Nothing much…I just may have asked Henry how he would feel about me marrying his mother." He said nonchalantly.

Regina's eyes widened as she stared at him. "You…." She started but then drifted off not sure what to say.

"I also may have asked Roland's opinion on me getting married again…to you of course." He continued.

Regina simply stared at him. "Robin…"

"They both really liked the idea by the way. They were really excited about it." He told her and nearly laughed at the shock on her face. His nerves were humming and he wasn't quite sure if this was going to go his way or not. "Of course all of this would only be relevant if you say yes."

"If I were too…" What was he getting at? Was he asking her?

"But I suppose if you are going to say yes them I'm going to have to ask you first." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a little black box. He got down on his knee in from of her. Regina's eyes were nearly so wide by this moment she feared they may pop right out of her head. "Regina, I know that we haven't been together long but every single day I'm with you I find myself falling more in love with you. I know without a doubt that I can't live my life without you." He opened the box to show a beautiful platinum ring with a ruby in the center of it and two diamonds on either side. "Regina Mills, will you be my wife?"

Regina stared at the ring with wide eyes "I…" She looked back up to Robin's face. "You want to marry me?"

"More then I want to take my next breath." He smiled feeling so nervous by this point that he may just pass out in front of her.

Regina's heart pounded as she continued to stare at him in shock. He wanted to marry her…he wanted her to be his wife and to promise her forever. Her eyes filled with tears and she couldn't seem to find her voice so instead she leaned down, wrapped her arms around him and buried her face in his neck.

This was a good sign right? He thought to himself. As he brought his arms around her. He felt like his heart was going to pound right out if his chest. "Umm…Regina, I'm dying here." He told her.

Regina laughed and pulled back to look at him with tears shining in her eyes. She put her hands on either side of his face and kissed him gently. "Yes I will marry you." She laughed again as he let out a sigh of relief. "Nothing would make me happier then being your wife Robin."

He grinned at her again before pulling her back into him and standing with her in his arms. He lifted her off the ground as she once again buried her face in his neck laughing. "You've just made me the happiest man in the world." He told her as he set her back on her feet and leaned in to kiss her. " I love you so much Regina."

Regina laughed. "I love you too." She gave him another quick kiss before pulling back and holding out her hand. "I want my ring." She told him.

He laughed and pulled it from the box then slid it on to her finger. "Do you like it?" He asked hoping he'd done a good job picking it out.

She beamed at the ring on her finger as she looked back up at him. "It's perfect." she told him before pulling him down for a heated kiss. She wrapped her arms tight around his neck as she kissed him never wanting to let him go again. When they broke apart breathless she leaned into his ear. "Robin, take me home."

They stumbled through the mansion door completely wrapped around each other. Regina nipped his bottom lip lightly as she kicked off her shoes and he turned them both towards the stairs. He lifted her and she wrapped her legs around his waist as he began to climb the stairs stopping once to rest her back against the wall so he could feast on her neck and allow his hands to wander a bit.

"Do you have any idea how sexy you are?" he asked as he ran his hands up her thighs to cup her bottom.

Regina leaned back to unbutton his shirt and pushed it off his shoulders. "Bedroom." she said in a low voice. "Now."

He once again took her weight and carried her easily into the bedroom. Neither bothered with the door since they would be the only ones home this evening. When they entered the room he set Regina on her feet and she began working at the belt on his pants. He reached his arms around her to pull down the zipper of her dress. She shrugged the dress off her shoulders and allowed it to fall to the floor.

Robin made an almost growling sound in the back of his throat when he looked at her. "Holy shit Regina." He said when he looked at the vision that she'd promised would be under her dress.

"I told you you'd like it." She husked as she nibbled on his ear lobe. Under her dress she'd worn a completely transparent black lace slip that she'd worn without a bra. She had a pair of matching lace thongs underneath.

"Like is an understatement." He told her as he brought his mouth back down to hers. He ran his hands along her back as she shoved his boxers down his legs. She moaned when she pressed herself against him and felt just how much he wanted her. She was already wet.

She turned him to the bed and pushed him down on this his back grinning as she reached down and took the bottom of the lace slip into her hands. She began to slowly pull it up teasingly as he watched the movement of the garment and he slowly began to see her soft skin come into sight. He moaned as she pulled it over her head and now stood before him in only her lace thongs. She grinned as she ran her hands down her own body stopping at the thongs. He sat up on his elbows in anticipation, he was desperate to touch her, but was quite happy with the show she was currently putting on for him. She leaned forward and kissed him allowing her breasts to lightly graze his chest. She moaned at the contact feeling ready to explode with her need for him.

She stood back up and hooked her thumbs into the thong and allowed it to fall down her legs. She crawled onto him like a cat and when she straddled him he immediately sat up so he could kiss her skin. She arched her back when he brought one of her rock hard nipples into his mouth. He grinned at her moan and brought up his hand to show some attention to the other one rolling it between his fingers.

"Robin" She gasped his name and held his head close to her chest never wanting him to stop. "I need you…right now." she breathed out and shifted on his lap taking his full length into her.

Robin moaned when he felt her walls surround him and truly thought he would just explode when she began to move. He brought his mouth back to her breasts and began to feast anew wanting desperately to touch and taste everywhere at once. He pulled her tight against him when he felt her begin to build towards her climax and pulled back slightly to look into her eyes.

"I love you Regina." He told her as he looked into her dark eyes that had clouded over with pleasure.

She moaned and rested her forehead against his. "I love you." she told him breathlessly. She trailed kisses across his face before moving back to his mouth and kissing him passionately. "Come with me." she whispered against his mouth as he felt her legs begin to quiver. He felt her tighten around him even as she let out a loud groan and he couldn't help but follow.

Surprise! They got engaged. I originally wanted to include the convo between Robin and the kids, but decided against it because I wanted you guys to be as surprised as Regina was! (At least I hope you were surprised) I hope you like this chapter! Please leave a review!

I had considered bringing a bit more drama and angst into this one, but since my new fic is going to have tons of that I think I am going to keep this one mostly light and fluffy. That way I can write angst in The Long Road Home and fluff here. It will keep me balanced.

You guys are so awesome! Thank you so much for sticking with me through all my fics! Love you all!
