A/N: Hello people... Uhh yeah, it took me a bit longer than expected to get this next chapter up, but you have to know that I have been incredibly busy with school. Which I also noticed from other writers here, there are definitely less updates. So back to this story. Please forgive me for any grammar mistakes I did make, I'm not originally from and English country. Second of all, please forgive me for this weak chapter, I have just been so tired from school and all. Still I hope all of you enjoy this chapter and please leave a review, they really help me to write quicker.

The smile soon fell from his lips as he was thrown to the ground. Part of the wall had collapsed by an immense impact and he instinctively pulled Merlin to his chest as he felt the rubble smash against his body. It all disappeared as quick as it had appeared and it was completely silent as the explosion settled down. The only thing he could hear was Merlin's whisper. 'Father.'

He stared shocked down at Merlin as he heard the other whisper before his head snapped up again, his eyes searching for Balinor. The man lay motionless on and underneath a pile of ruble and it were a few terrifying second before he saw the man's chest rise. 'He still alive.' He told Merlin and the raven just nodded, to shocked to answer.

It was then that the sound of footsteps could be heard and Julius stepped through the hole in the wall, his lips twisted in a wicked grin as he stared at the body of his opponent. His eyes soon moved towards them, tilting his head slightly to the side as he noticed Mordred's corpse, he didn't seem upset and with his next words Arthur was sure that Julius just didn't care. 'Ah, it seems that my friends had less luck with their fight, but that doesn't matter, I will take care of you after I kill Balinor here.'

'No!' He heard Merlin scream as a wave of energy ran through his slender body, Arthur could almost feel the magic that his lover emitted. 'I won't let you kill my father, I won't let you kill anybody!' He growled as he jumped up.

Arthur had barely time to react, his hands reached for Merlin, but he could only feel the fabric of his shirt brush against his skin as the warlock jumped forwards, his hand outstretched, ready to strike.

Both Merlin and Julius shouted words of magic and their magic collided, causing the whole room to lit up in bright lights. Julius looked only slightly surprised as the light died down, he was clearly impressed by Merlin's power. 'It seems that we have underestimated you, but I was able to defeat your father and you're no match to me either.' His words were followed by a fireball.

Merlin quickly pulled up a barrier to stop the magical attack before the next one came. He didn't had time to counter attack as he was forced to keep his defenses up.

And it scared Arthur, he could see that the raven got tired, his legs already starting to shake slightly. Something had to be done, but he... he wasn't able, not against Julius.

His eyes shifted for a moment to the gun on the ground, there were still two bullets left, maybe he could try the same thing against Julius as he did to Mordred. The blond quickly reached for the weapon, he gulped for a moment as the cold metal met his skin, it was a grim reminder at his previous sin... and he was going to do it again.

He quickly crawled to the side so it was less likely that he would hit Merlin and lifted the gun, making sure that Merlin wasn't in the way before he fired.

The second bullet was also fired and the two little bullets made their way to Julius, but it was then that the wicked sorcerer's eyes little that dirty golden, for a moment looking at the approaching bullets, as if could see them in slow motion... maybe that was even the case, he just didn't know what to expect of magic.

It were two small clings that made Arthur realise that the bullets now lay harmless on the ground, he had failed.

Julius chuckled and stopped his attacks on Merlin, still making sure to keep a good eye at the raven. 'Do you really think that you can kill me with something as silly as a gun, I'm not as weak as my former companions.'

'I don't care, we will do everything to stop you!' He shouted back.

'You, a non-magical creature are thinking of killing me, ha, don't make me laugh.'

'Don't underestimate us.' This time it was Morgana who had shouted those words at him. Glaring darkly at the man in front of them as she made her way towards her brother and Merlin.

Julius just laughed. 'Do you really think I'm afraid of an beginner like you?'

It was then that they heard a low groan and it didn't take Arthur long to realise that Balinor was starting to wake up, his body slightly twitching, but he didn't get up.

Julius lifted his eyebrow before he tilted his head and turned back to the younger people. 'It seems I have to go an finish my job, but don't worry, I will finish you three after I killed him.' He shouted words of magic and a energy wave was send towards them. Merlin desperately tried to bring up a barrier, but he wasn't quick enough, even though his magic reduced the force of the impact, and they were thrown against the wall.

Arthur's head snapped up, fearing that Julius would finish them, but instead Julius stood bowed down over Balinor, a wicked grin spread over his lips as he held up a sharp knife, ready to kill.

No, no... He had to do something to protect Balinor, but what... he had no magic and the gun was useless and... and...

'Today you will die!' Julius said in a dark voice, the hatred seeping through his voice.

Arthur felt his heart clench together, what could he do?...

'I won't let you hurt him!' It wasn't one of them that shouted those words, he paled as his head snapped towards the hole in the wall, there in the light of the moon... The figure stood proudly, his back straight with a large gun in his right hand as he glared at Julius. The later just looked slightly surprised at the newly arrived man. 'I said, get away from him or I will shoot.'

Julius grinned as he straightened his back, apparently already forgotten Balinor as he walked towards the man. 'Oh what a great surprise! Now I don't have to come to your home and kill you.' He laughed wickedly. 'Now prepare to die, Uther Pendragon!'

Uther narrowed his eyes and his lips turned into a thin line. 'The only one dying here tonight will be you!' He hissed as he pulled the safety of the gun.

Now that Arthur looked at it he couldn't help, but notice that the weapon was painted in a strange blue colour, black letters in a language he didn't know written on the side.

Julius took another step forwards his hands held high as he started to cast a spell.

But Uther was quicker, aiming his gun and shooting. Julius quickly pulled up a shield, but as soon as the bullet reached it, it broke... the shield broke down in small shards of light as the bullet again followed his way, imbedding itself in Julius' heart.

The man didn't make a sound, never screamed in a pain as he sank to the ground, his hate filled eyes never leaving Uther... The man that killed him.

Arthur stared for a moment stunned at his father. 'Father...' It was nothing more than a whisper and clearly not loud enough for the man to hear. He didn't even know what to feel, what to think... his father had just killed a man, the same as he had done.

Uther glared for a moment more at Julius' lifeless body before he turned to face Arthur, giving him a sad smile, as if he wanted to apologize.

He quickly got back to his feet as he also helped Morgana up as Merlin ran towards his father, kneeling down next to him. Arthur himself also ran towards his fallen friend, running past his father, still not knowing what to say to the man... What was his father even doing here, not that he wasn't glad for it.

He arrived just as Balinor sat up, looking relieved at his son as he pulled the younger male in his arms. 'Oh Merlin, you're alright.'

'Yeah, I'm fine, but are you?' Merlin asked worriedly as he pulled himself away.

Balinor looked just relieved at his son before he looked up, nodding once at Arthur as if to thank him before his eyes fell on Uther. He paled as his eyes grew wide. 'Uther.' Barely more than a whisper.

Arthur looked confused back at his father and he was shocked to see the expression on the man's face. Uther expression was one of both sadness and guilt, but there was also something else, something he couldn't quite place. His voice was high and nervous. 'It's good to see you again, Balinor.'

'How do you know each other?' Merlin asked the question that was in Arthur's head.

Balinor just blinked at them as Uther answered. 'We... we knew each other a long time ago.' He said as he glanced down at Balinor, the other man didn't look at him.

'We have to get out of here!' Morgana interrupted them.

Uther looked at his daughter. 'Morgana... we need-.'

'Not now, Uther!' She snapped as she and Merlin helped Balinor to his feet. 'We have to go now, before the police comes.' And with those words they quickly hurried out.

Merlin hold onto his father as they followed Uther and Arthur outside. He had spread his magic out, searching for a treat, which wasn't there.

He felt how a shiver ran through his father's body and frowned. He had acted so extreme to Uther, there was clearly something going on between them. 'Dad?' The man looked at him. 'Tell me the truth... how do you know Uther?'

Balinor didn't immediately answer, the man stared for a moment at the back of the older Pendragon before turning back to his son. 'Uther and I were once lovers.'

A/N: Shocking twist! Okay how many people had expect Uther to come in and save the day and how many were expecting the end? I guess not much, huh.

So I also have a question for all of you, would you like to see Balinor and Uther become a couple?... I think I'm to first person to pair these two up, oh well.

So please leave a review, they really motivate me.
