~Suzuno's POV~
So I was excused from the principal and I was rushing to my house. I still needed to change my clothes for my sister's graduation...! Yes! I'm finally home!
Chapter 21: Meeting my Sister's Boyfriend
"I'm home~!" I shouted happily as she was panting from running.
"Oh, Suzuno! You're just in time!" My mom smiled as she was putting on her best coat. "Your sister left a while ago for the last practice. Now go get changed, and freshen-up! Comb your hair okay?"
"Yes, mom!" I smiled back as I was rushing up the stairs.
I changed my clothes in a hurry, but I looked neat anyway. I brushed my hair, and I was ready. I placed on my flats and took my bag with with my inhaler, cellphone and camera, after that I brushed my teeth.
"Sweetie? Are you okay?" My mom called out from downstairs.
"Mh? yesh...mowm..." I muffled as I was still brushing.
"Hurry up, dear. We might be late!" My mom laughed as she knew I was still brushing my teeth.
I finished and I wiped my mouth with my hanky while I was rushing downstairs.
"Okay, ready." I told as I gave a smile. My mother smiled back. I placed on my coat, and we left for my sister's graduation.
At the venue...
The place was filled with students dressed in black togas, they were still talking to their friends and families, saying their good-bye's and thanks. But me and my mother couldn't find my sister.
"Hm... I don't seem to see your sister." My mom said as we were looking around for 10 minutes.
"Mom! Suzuno!" A voice called from behind us.
"A-Ayumi-san?" Me and my mom turned, it was her sister.
"Oh! Ayumi! Where have you been? We were looking everywhere for you!" My mom held my sister's arms.
"Sorry... I was talking with my teachers and friends." Ayumi smiled awkwardly.
"Oh, I see." My mom smiled back. "Are you going up the stage yet?"
"In few minutes, we'll get ready for the ceremony." Ayumi replied. "You guys should look for a good place to sit in."
"Okay then!" My mom told. "Let's go Suzuno." She took my hand as my sister followed.
Graduation...
The graduation music played; Senior students walk up the stage their names are called and accept their diploma. They shooked the hand of their principal (Dean), Administrators, and teachers. They all looked so happy. Everyone was clapping.
"...Era Matsumi."
Matsumi-san is the bestfriend of my sister and she transferred here on Osaka with us after 2 years, she didn't know that we were here though. Coincidence, right?
"It's Matsumi-san!" Suzuno told her mom, whispering.
"Oh? My goodness! She looks so different now! I couldn't recognize her from just the name." My mom chuckled. I chuckled as well.
"...Suzuno Ayumi."
"Oh! There she is!" My mother pointed and clapped.
I clapped and smiled as everyone did as well. They placed a medal around her neck and she faced the crowd and stood firm, smiling.
"Suzuno Ayumi is one of the Most Outstanding students of this batch and in her class. She's very remarkable, we look forward to your future." The Dean told.
Then my sister exited the stage and kissed mom and me.
"I'm proud of you, Ayumi." Our mom told as she held both of her shoulders.
"So am I." I smiled gladly. "Congratulations, Ayumi-san!"
"Thanks, Suzuno! Thanks Mom!" Ayumi hugged both of us.
We hugged each other, we were happy.
After the graduation...
"Oh! Auntie!" Matsumi bowed as she saw us.
"Ah, Matsumi! Congratulations!" My mother bowed back.
"Hello, Suzuno." Matsumi turned to me and smiled. "How are you? Oh my gosh, you've grown!"
"I'm fine, thank you. But still having asthma, though." I smiled back awkwardly. "You?"
"I'm great, I'm happy." Matsumi replied with a laugh. "Oh Auntie, did you meet him yet?"
"What? Who?" My mother asked in a confused tone.
"My-!"
"Mom!" Ayumi hurried to us, cutting our conversation. She brought a guy along with her and she was holding the guy's hand.
"What is it, dear?" My mom turned to my sister.
"I would like you to meet Uzimaki Taiho." My sister pulled the guy in front of her.
"Who is this guy?" I pointed at him while my face was all confused like my mother's.
"My boyfriend!" Ayumi told happily with a wide smile.
"A-Ah! Good-afternoon, Mrs. Suzuno!" The guy bowed. "I-I-!"
"It's very nice to meet you, young man!" My mother smiled at him. "I'm sure you'll take care of my daughter well."
"T-Thank you." He gave an awkward smile.
Matsumi bonked the back of his head. "Stop stuttering, and talk like a real man. Would you!" She said in an annoyed tone.
"O-Ow..." He rubbed his head. "That hurt."
"Meh." Matsumi rolled her eyes. "By the way, he's my cousin."
"She's right." Taiho was still rubbing his head as he chuckled.
"See? She's really kind." My sister turned and smiled at Taiho.
"What did you actually think of my mother?" I asked in a cold tone.
"U-Uhm...-"
"Suzuno! Be nice! He's just shy..." My sister told. "It's okay, she just doesn't trusts boys with me..."
"Hmph." Suzuno crossed her arms. "It's my responsibility as a little sister!"
"Oh, Suzuno..." Ayumi giggled. "Only parents and older siblings can do that! I'm old enough okay? I graduated now."
"Okay, but expect me not to trust him so easily..." I sighed. I turned to Taiho with my cold eyes. "Got it?"
"You heard her, Taiho?" Matsumi grinned.
"H-Hai...!" He bowed then turned to me. "I'll do anything to make you trust me, Suzuno." He nodded.
"Then good." I calmly smiled which made him relieved.
"Sorry about my daughter... She's very aggressive towards-"
"Oh no! It's okay, ma'am!" Taiho gave a faint smile. "I'm sure that she's just trying to be a good sister."
"Thank you for seeing that." I laughed.
