Chapter 650 Spoiler WARNING
I don't know how I feel right now. I love Shunsui/Nanao pairing. I love it. I ship it. I ship it hard. But...I don't know how I feel right now. I read Bleach chapter 650...and now...now...I think I might be broken.
So, as most of you guessed this little note has a spoiler tag, because I need to rant and this seemed the best place to do it. Chapter 650 short circuited my brain. At the very end you find out that Kyokotsu, Shunsui's shorter sword of his duel zanpakutou, actually belongs to Ise Nanao. This could mean a few things.
1) Shunsui had a child with someone and Nanao inherited his zanpakutou, somehow. That would make Nanao his daughter and their ship completely creepy and not acceptable.
2) The older zanpakutou that Shunsui has, Katen, is Nanao's mother. Don't know if this is possible, but it is a possibility because...anime. That still makes Nanao his daugther and their ship creepy as hell.
3) Nanao is a piece of Shunsui's soul that he expelled somehow. Still makes her his sister/daughter, related to him in some way, and their ship wrong on so many levels.
4) Shunsui isn't actually alive, similar situation to Jushiro, and Katen Kyokotsu was Shunsui's, but something happened and he died. But Nanao bonded with Kyokotsu and thus allowed Shunsui to remain alive as long as he had Kyokotsu in his possession.
All I know is that there is a very large chance that the Shunsui/Nanao ship is about to be sunk. And it is breaking my heart a bit. But also killing my brain because I still love the two together, but I am conflicted about how I should feel about this.
So in regards to this story. I might end it where it is. Im just going to let my brain recover a bit, and also see what the hell is going to happen. I will let you know in the coming months, since chapter updates for the manga are usually once a week.
