Fame & Fortune 2: Suffering From Stardom
Chapter 21: A New Life Into The World
-flashback-
This flashback is a little recap from the last chapter.
"Gil Gordon," the pastor said at Gil and Molly's wedding. "Do you take Molly Johnson to be your awfully wedding wife? In sickness and in health? For richer or poor? In good time and bad? As long as you both shall live?"
"Yes I do," Gil said.
"Molly Johnson, do you take Gil Gorden as your awfully wedded husband? In sickness and in health? For richer or poor? In good time and bad? As long as you both shall live?"
Molly then felt a sudden pop going out in her stomach. "No," she gasped.
"No?" Gil asked worried. But that wasn't the reason why Molly said no.
"What? No. No. I do take Gil as my husband. I'm saying no because my water done broke," she quickly responded.
-flashback end-
Everyone quickly rise up to their feet after the bride said that her water done broke. Gil quickly rush over to his lovely bride's aid.
"Gilly," Molly whimpered.
"Don't worry Molly," gil said trying to keep her calm. "You'll be fine."
"I know, but it hurts too much."
All of the glooms maids and all the bridesmaids all rush over to Molly's aid as well. "Somebody call 911," Gil screamed. Goby quickly call an ambulance.
"Hello?" Goby said on the phone. "Yeah I need an ambulance at Atlanta Gardens. My friend is about to give birth."
It only took for an ambulance 20 minutes to come since the hospital wasn't far away, minus the busy traffic. Paramedics quickly put Molly on a stretcher and took her in the back of the ambulance. Gil was the only one other than the parademics to ride with her throughout the ride while all the guess and their friends were taking their cars. During the ride to the hospital, Gil was right by her side holding her hand. Molly was so excited and so terrified.
"I can't believe this is happening," she said. "I'm going to welcome a new life into the world."
"We're going to welcome a new life in the world," Gil said. Molly giggled. Even though she was in serious pain, she would always try to find a way to always laugh at stuff.
"I mean we." The two couple's hands were still touching one another and they were continuing to stare lovely at each other. Although their big day got interrupted by this unexpecting arrival, the two seem to convince one another that everything is going to be okay.
"Hey while we're on the topic, what are we going to name her?" Molly asked.
"Hmmm. I don't know."
During the name discussion, the ambulance pulled up to the hospital. Molly was quickly put into a room after an hour has pass since she was taken to the hospital. While her friends and family were in a waiting room, Gil was in the room with her since he was the baby's father. While Molly was waiting for the doctor, she was just holding on to the bed for she was still in pain.
"OHHH MY GOD! I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THIS BABY COMES OUT! IT'S KILLING ME!" Molly felt her stomach was just sizzling and was about to go up in flames. Gil often tried to calm her down, but all seemed to do is make things worse. But luckily for him, he didn't have to no more since their friends and family all got something that should help the pink-haired female out until it was time for her to push.
"Hey Molly," Deema said.
"Yeah Deema."
"Well we know you must be in pain. I should know since I was pregnant."
"SO we took the liberty of giving you these," Goby said. Soon everyone began pulling out multiple giifts from behind their backs. Some were flowers, get-well cards, DVDs and fruit from Edible Arrangements.
"Thank you guys so much," Gil said.
"Yeah. It'll really keep me distracted from this baby this little monster is giving me," Molly replied.
"Don't worry Moly," Janet said to her youngest sister. "It'll be over before you even know it." Janet and Olivia are also mothers themselves. Janet has three children with her husband George while Olivia have a daughter with Jermaine (look back on chapter four of this story). While the two sisters were talking to their younger sister about the good times about being a mother, Nonny began to put a DVD in.
"I hope you guys don't mind but I'm going to put in The Purge in," Nonny said.
"I don't know Nonny," Oona said. Everyone was still in their wedding clothes. "Maybe we should watch The Hunger Games: Catching Fire."
"I'm actually in the mood for some Fast & Furious 6," Goby replied.
"Don't you guys think we should asked Molly since she's the one who's giving birth?" Olivia asked.
"Oh yeah," Deema said. "So what do you think girl?"
"I don't know," Molly said. "What else do we have?"
After going over multiple DVDs, everyone eventually agree on the movie, which was Taken 2. Some of them had went into one of the waiting rooms to watch another DVD. Three hours have pass by with laughs, talking and precious moments. But when the fourth hour came, Molly felt more pain than the time she feel off that horse when she was six.
"AHHHHHHHH," she screamed to the top of her lungs. "GET…THIS BABY OUT OF ME!"
Soon a doctor and two nurses came in the room. "Hello Ms. Johnson," the doctor said.
"What's the stats doctor?" Gil asked.
"Well we went over Molly's chart and she is 10 centimeters pass that," the doctor answered.
"I don't understand."
"I do," Deema said. "I think what the doctor is saying that Molly is ready to push."
"Is that true doctor?" Molly asked.
"Yep. By the way, I'm Doctor Andrews. Okay now. I need everyone else to step out of the room while Molly is giving birth."
The family members and friends all walked out of the room and went into the waiting room. Since Gil was the baby's father, he get to stay. Dr. Andrew put on some gloves while his two nurses spread Molly's legs away from each other so the doc can see the inside. The only person Molly knew who saw her private area in the opening was Gil, and since this was the first time the female had somebody have his hands go inside of her, she just blushed in embarrassment. But it quickly washed away since it was the only way to get her daughter out.
"Okay on the count of three," Dr. Andrews said to the girl. "Ready?"
"UGHHH! READY," Molly answered.
"1...2...3...PUSH." Molly did just that. After a few seconds, the doctor told her to stop. "Okay, take a break. That's good. I can see the head coming out."
"UGHHH! GILLY, WHAT'S GOING ON DOWN THERE?" the female asked her finance.
"Don't ask me. I'm not going down there,," Gil quickly replied back. "Look let's just say a prayer." During the whole time of labor, Gil was holding on to her hand. "Okay, Heavenly FAHHHHHHHHHHHHH."
The blue-haired male didn't even finished the prayer since Molly was really squeezing her hand so tight, scratch marks were highly visible. "Heavenly Father, help our baby make it safe out. In your name, we pray. Amen," Gil quickly said the prayer.
"Okay. Here we go," Dr. Andrews interrupted. "One…two…three…push."
"Molly quickly pushed with all her might. It was killing her but eventually, after feeling something just slide right out of her, she felt relieved that it was finally over. "Oh Thank you God," she panted. Crying and wielding was heard throughout the room and it wasn't coming from her.
"Congratulations you two," the doctor said. "It's a healthy baby boy."
Baby boy? The last time Molly and Gil checked, they were supposed to be expecting a baby girl. "Wait a minute. Did you say a baby boy?" the boyfriend asked.
"Uh-Huh," the doctor said. "Surprised?"
"Well…yeah. We were supposed to be expecting a girl."
"Well sometimes during the process of childbirth, you can be easily fooled by the sex of the baby. But don't worry. I think he will be fine."
"Well can we see him?" Molly asked. Although she felt weak, she still have enough strength inside of her to hold her first child, who was covered in blood and a whole lot of clear fluids. "Oh Gilly look at our baby."
"HE have both our skin color," Gil said. The baby was biracial for his skin color was a mixture of Molly's light brown skin and Gil's white skin. Dr. Andrews took the baby so it could get clean and the two nurses also cleaned up Molly as well. While that was happening, the father walked down the hallway to the waiting room where all his friends were. All of them stood up and obviously noticing his big smile.
"So Gil?" Goby asked.
"How's the baby? Oona asked. "Don't keep up waiting."
"It's a baby boy," the blue haired father said. Tears were coming out of his eyes.
"Well can we see him?" C.J. asked wanting to see his newborn nephew."
"Well the doctor went to get him cleaned up and the nurses are cleaning up Molly as well. But I think they're almost done."
After 10 minutes, Gil invited everyone in the room. "Look everyone," the pink haired mother said. Her two sisters and her two brothers were the first ones to see a new member to their ever-growing Johnson family.
"Oh my God. He's so cute," Janet said.
"He got your eyes Molly," Thomas said. The baby did have so many traits from his parents. Next to a mixture of their skin color, the baby has Molly's brown eyes while the infant has the same hair color as his father. While the friends and family were taking turns holding the baby, there was one question that was on their minds.
"What's his name?" Deema asked.
"I don't know," Gil said. "We haven't thought of the name since he was born."
"How about William?" c.J. suggested.
"William?"
"I like the name," Molly replied. "William Gibson."
"I like it too," gil said. "How are you Lil William?" The baby slowly opened his eyes and took a first look at his father. The baby then slowly form a smile as well as lifting up his little hand. As tears were still coming out the father's eyes, he quickly hand William over to his mother. "I have to step out for a little," he said.
Molly just smiled for she understand why he walked out of the room. Not just their first child with one another, but just their first child in general. E didn't know how to handle this amazing feeling he has in his heart right now. Goby (William's Godfather) follows him out in the hall.
"You alright?" the dark skinned male asked.
"I'm a father now." But there was also one thing that was on Gil's mind. "I'm just hoping I will be a lot better than my father was to me." Gil and his father don't even speak to each other no more. Growing up with a preacher, everything that Gil's father would think he does was "sinful". Eventually the male moved out when he was only 16 and went to lived with his mother (who divorced his dad).
"You will be man." Goby just gave him a man hug as the two both walked back in the room. They soon see C.J. holding the baby and take his 3-D glasses he got from watching a 3-D movie (he took off the lenses) and putting it over the baby's eyes.
"I'm worried now," Molly said. "C.J. is holding to my baby."
"William is going to be stunting," the younger brother said. "We should call Beyonce and Jay and tell them there's a new baby in town."
The hospital room was filled with laughter. But it wasn't loud enough to wake up Lil William.
ONE MONTH LATER
"Do we have everything we need?" Goby asked.
"I think so," Deema replied. "Let me just double check.
The entertaining couple are about to be out of town. Actually, they're about to go out of the state. They are flying down to Miami along with Goby's brothers Jermaine, B.J. and his nephews and nieces on a private jet so they could attend Goby's family reunion.
"Okay," the female came back in the living room. "I got the twins' clothes, their toys, diapers, everything they need."
"Okay. Good."
"I've got my clothes."
"So do I."
"Do we got the cooler? It is a long flight."
"Yeah I got the…" Goby soon learn he forgot about the cooler. "Oh nuts. I forgot about the cooler."
"Well no worries. We'll just run to the store and go buy one." That gave Goby an idea. During their preparation for the trip, he also was thinking about Natalie and May.
"Oh don't worry about that baby. I'll just run right to the store and go get it myself."
"Are you su…"
"I got this Deema." the boyfriend kissed his girlfriend before blazing out the door. After getting a cooler from a store, the male drove over to Natalie's house to tell her that he was going out of town. After founding out that May is his, Goby took the liberty into buying a new house for her and her mother since the last place they were living in was a run-down apartment.
The house that Goby bought them resides in a suburban neighborhood. The baseball player pulled up to the neighborhood and continued to drive down the road until he was about to head for a cul-de-sac. He pulls his car up to the house. The house he bought the mother and daughter has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths with a two-car garage and a large backyard. Inside the garage was a Chevrolet Tahoe and a new Chevrolet Impala, that Goby also bought for the two females.
Inside the house, Natalie was on her computer taking her classes online. Ever since she became pregnant with May, she ending up drop out of school to focus on raising her when she was born. When May turned five, the mother decided to take the rest of her classes online. There was a knock on the door and May (who was in the living room playing her dolls) ran to the front door and see it was her father.
"Daddy's here," she said opening the door letting Goby inside. The little girl wanted to give him a big hug so the male bent down and picked her up.
"Hey May. You're doing good?"
"Uh-Huh. I got a B on my spelling test."
"You did? That's great. So where's your mother? I have to talk to her about something."
"She's in the kitchen."
Goby put May down and started walking to the kitchen. He sees Natalie on the computer. "Hey Goby," she said.
"Hey Natalie."
"Thanks again for buying the house for us…and the cars," Natalie laughed.
"No problem."
"So what you need to talk about?"
"Look. I'm going out of town of a week. I'm attending a family reunion down in Miami."
"How come you didn't ask us to come? We both love to travel."
"I know. But you know that I have twins with Deema and she's going to be there also."
"Is she still mad at me?" Goby just nodded. Although it has been seven years since Natalie and Deema have seen each other, Deema still haven't forgotten about that fight she had with her and Goby was caught in the middle. So to prevent from that to happen again, the male tries to do all he could to keep the two from seeing one another. Natalie just shrugged in frustration. "She needs to grow up."
"Yeah well," Goby replied. "I'll see you guys in a week. I'll bring something back, okay?"
"Whatever." The two just hugged one another as the baby daddy began to leave.
"Okay May. I'll see you later. Take care of your mother while I'm gone," Goby said.
"Bye daddy," May shouted back. AS the Goby drove away, the daughter walked into the kitchen with her mother. "So why didn't daddy invite us down to Miami with him?" May was listening to the whole conversation. But Natalie couldn't tell her the answer why.
"Oh he had to go down there for business reasons," Natalie lied. "…and I'm going with him."
"Can I come?"
"No. You have school. You can stay with your grandparents with I'm gone."
And…done. Well aren't you happy for Molly and Gil? They've welcome Lil William into the world. Okay everyone. Listen up. It's probably going to be like two weeks until I update the next chapter. The first reason is that next week, it will be the last five days of the 3rd nine weeks at my school and the season reason is that after next week, it wil be spring break and I'll probably be out of town and won't be working on this story.
But on a positive note, I have good news for everyone. I've been working on a prequel to the Fame & Fortune series called Love Triangle: A Matter of Trust and I'm releasing the first chapter sometime next week. The story focuses on Goby and Deema seven years before the events of Fame & Fortune. During that time, you will also see how Natalie became a rival of Deema's and the mother of Goby's daughter May. It is also Rated M for its material. So be sure to lookout for that.
Well, I'm gone but while I'm away, I'll be working on ideas for the final four chapters. Shoutouts to my good friends AmberStone12, OonaXNonners, Authorgirl12, Princess Caveia1234, cupcake guppies and kariaawesome22.
P.S. my friend cupcake guppies inform me that she's working on her bubble guppies fanfic story called girl power.
