Chapter 18
Evelyne stood patiently on the other side of the batting cages watching Jeremy, when Damon and Elena showed up. Jeremy knew that she was standing there but her brother and Elena hadn't noticed. Jeremy was pretending not to know anything about what the original's link to their bloodlines. 'If Elena can lie to him about compelling him and stuff, he can lie straight to her face.' Evelyne thought before she started to walk towards them, while Kol came around the corner carrying a bat.
"Sup mate," Kol said just before Elena said "Jer, Damon its Kol."
Kol swung the baseball bat at Damon breaking it, good thing it wasn't the one Evelyne got him. Just as Kol was about to swing a metal bat and Damon was about to put the broken piece of bat into Kol like a stake, Evelyne sped forward stopping both baseball bats. Causing both men to stare at her.
"Hello brother," Evelyne said before ripping both bats out of the men's hands before throwing them both into the wall. Both men landed with a groan. "I think it's time we had ourselves a little chat don't you think?"
"Evelyne, what are you doing here?" Elena asked shocked at the younger Salvatore, while looking between her, Jeremy, and Kol.
"What the hell was that for little sis?" Damon said sitting up and rubbing his neck.
"Never thought I would say this but I agree with your brother. What the hell darling?" Kol said looking shocked.
Evelyne just rolled her eyes and turned to Jeremy signaling for him to come along. She then looked at Elena with a stern look telling her to come with her as well. Both obeyed her and followed her out to the car Damon had rented.
"Do you think we should follow her?" Kol asked watching them walk away.
"Probably, she has a temper my sister. Just so you know I don't like you, but my sister loves you. So I guess I'll just have to deal with you." Damon said as they both got up and followed Evelyne out to the car. Elena and Jeremy got in the rental car no questions asked as Evelyne turned to her brother and boyfriend.
"Here's the deal. Damon you can have Jeremy talk to Rose to try and find out who turned her, or you could just listen to me. But either way you are going to go to a motel for the night. The person who sired Rose was Mary Porter, or as you call her Scary Mary. Klaus is the vampire that turned her, so sorry brother your shit out luck on killing him. But there is a spell that will allow you to change your bloodline. It's difficult but I know a witch that might be willing to do it. Now Kol I know you hate Mary so you have my permission to kill her. I will head back to Mystic falls now, but you two aren't allowed to kill eachother. Do you both understand?" Evelyne said sternly addressing both men.
"Yes Evelyne." Damon said looking down at his shoes.
"Wait you said kill, so we can still beat each other up?" Kol asked earning a reluctant nod from Evelyne.
"Now both of you leave." Evelyne said before walking to her car and waiting for Damon to leave. After they left Kol ran to Evelyne and kissing her quickly before speeding off to find himself a car. Evelyne just smirked and got in her car and drove down the high way speeding at about a hundred.

Evelyne pulled up to the boarding house as hearing Klaus and Rebekah inside. She tuned in more to find Stefan was in the basement with Alaric or badlaric. She could hear him say that the stake was in the cave where no vampire could enter, that is except for Evelyne. 'That stake, I need to get it.' Evelyne thought before getting out of her car and running to the cave. Evelyne ran into the cave and looked around for any spot that the stake could have been placed. After searching for a few minutes Evelyne heard a noise from the entrance of the cave. It was Rebekah and badlaric. The coffin was still in the cave so Evelyne quickly ran and hid behind it.
"Go get it; you know I can't get in." Rebekah said causing Ric to walk over to a wall of the cave, Evelyne still behind the coffin. Ric quickly pulled the stake out and looked at Rebekah, who was still calm, 'that's strange, Bekah would normally have yelled at someone to do as she pleased' Evelyne thought. He walked over to the coffin and sat on it.
"Now why would I give you the one thing that requires everyone to keep me alive?" Badlaric said talking to Rebekah, both oblivious to Evelyne's presence.
"Are we bargaining now? Fine whats your offer?" Rebekah asked still calm. 'That's not Rebekah,' Evelyne thought as her friend talked.
"Only one stake out there, only one original has to die. Help me and I'll make sure it's not you." Badlaric said to whoever was in Bekah.
"Tempting but, I don't just want one original dead. I want all dead but Kol." The person in rebekah said causing Evelyne to realize who it really was. Especially as she heard walking and Ric get up and move back.
"How did you do that?" Ric asked shocked a vampire crossed the barrier that wasn't Evelyne.
"It was easy to fool Niklaus, but I thought you of all people would understand. After all my son did use your body at one point." Esther said from her daughters body.
"Your not Rebekah," Ric said shocked.
"No, my name is Esther, and we have a great deal in common." Esther said to Ric before Esther looked towards the coffin and moved it to reveal Evelyne.
"Lovely to see you again Esther, but sadly for you, you can't do anything to me." Evelyne said standing up grabbing for her necklace to find it gone, she then looked at her hand to find her ring gone. Evelyne's eyes quickly looked at Esther who opened her hand to reveal both anti-magic stones.
"The witch who made these for you used magic to hand them to me. I won't allow you to die but, I can't have you getting in my way." Esther said dropping the stones and uttering something in Latin.
"No stop," Evelyne said trying to step forward but her body collapsed, but she still stood there staring at body on the ground.
"When my task is complete you shall return to your body, but until then you shall be a ghost." Esther said starring her in the eyes.
