Naruto frowned at Sarutobi. "You want me to what?" He asked incredulously.
"Well I was hoping that you would take Konohamaru and his friends with you so that he would be safe." Sarutobi said while scratching the back of his head.
"No you want me to watch a bunch other children while I'm supposed to be training hard for this invasion." Naruto said grumpily. "But I can't say anything other than ok, because they don't deserve to die and they will most likely be targets."
Sarutobi noticeably lightened when Naruto agreed to take the Konohamaru corp. with him to wave on the training trip. He smiled at Naruto and said. "Thank you my boy, might I ask how you plan on getting to wave in the first place, as with children who don't know how to do tree running it will take a week and a half to get there."
"No it' won't. Is there anything you want them to learn while they are there, or do you not want them trained." Naruto asked with a grimace.
"Well I'd say if they each get individual attention from someone they would be good solid genin before you come back don't you think?" Sarutobi said thoughtfully.
"You want them to be as good as genin in just a month? Skills wise its doable but in all honesty it isn't possible." Naruto said shaking his head in exasperation. "They won't have the experience to use their skills correctly."
"I know that." Sarutobi said in frustration. "But if they have the proper skills they can be fast tracked as a genin team when they get back. That way when the shit hits the fan after this all goes down, we'll have at least one extra genin team to uses for low end missions."
"Yeah I see where your coming from there. Not to mention that if they receive training from their protectors while out of the village then there can be no way for the council, benevolent and generous be they, to claim preferential treatment." Naruto said smugly smiling.
"True enough." Sarutobi said with a mirthful twinkle in his eye. "Now what did you mean about it not taking a week and a half?"
"Simple, I have a Hiraishin seal in my house in wave country." Naruto said with a smirk at Sarutobi's shocked face.
"You have mastered the Hiraishin no jutsu?" Sarutobi asked reverently.
Naruto pouted and crossed his arms cutely. "Why always the tone of disbelief?"
"Well just please take care of my grandson, yes?" Sarutobi asked softly.
"Course I will gramps, you don't even have to ask." Naruto said as he made his way out of the office
Naruto walked into his family home and smiled at the pictures of his parents. He had to wonder if they would be proud of him for how he turned out. His mood sunk when he thought to much about how his life used to be. He was drawn out of his melancholy mood when a pair of icy arms wrapped him in a chilled embrace.
"What's wrong Naru-kun?" Haku's silky voice asked softly in his ear.
"Do you think they're proud of me?" Naruto asked in a soft withdrawn voice.
"I believe that every parent who isn't proud, then they weren't deserving of being parents in the first place love." Haku said softly kissing Naruto's cheek and clinging to him desperately.
"Thanks." Naruto whispered softly leaning into the icy embrace, only to jerk away and scowl. He turned to Haku and said. "Have you perfected your jutsu yet?"
"Yeah I finished it earlier this week." Haku said perplexed at the question.
"Well that's good we have a scary good security risk that is in need of a serious deep freeze." Naruto said with a scowl. He grabbed Haku's hand and left the room, and compound as fast as he could go. They ran, Haku following close by Naruto, to the outskirts of the village. When they reached the edge Naruto made a large group of clones and said. "Find him!"
"What is going on Naruto?" Haku asked confused.
"You remember the silver haired guy who quit before the prelims?" Naruto asked watching the tree line. "Well I've had a clone following him since. Well the clone caught him talking to a Suna ninja. Well the clone and Hayate Gekkou were found. The clone used itself as a diversion for Hayate to get away and alert someone. The Suna nin was caught by a contingent of ANBU. The clone and Gekkou followed Kabuto. They fought, Gekkou was hit by a chakra scalpel in the arm, and the clone was dispelled. Now we need to find Kabuto before he gets away. He has some kind of healing ability, So I know he's short on chakra. Now you see why I wanted to know whether or not you had your new jutsu squared away."
"Yeah I understand that." Haku said softly. "Well that means we need to finish this, do you know where we need to go?"
"Yeah, this way!" Naruto said running off to the left. Haku was hot on his heels. They ran towards a large clearing and found Kabuto on the other side. Naruto threw a kunai and began going through a few hand seals. Then he yelled "kunai shadow clone jutsu!" The single kunai turned into fifty, as it shot towards Kabuto, who jumped straight into the air. Only to meet Haku's thousand water needles of death. Kabuto screamed in pain and fell to the ground, only to stand shakily to his feet already healing.
"Ah Naruto-kun, I thought you would realize you can't kill me by now." Kabuto said adjusting his glasses and stand in front of the two ninja.
"Oh I just figure I wasn't using the right techniques." Naruto said with an angry growl, before charging forward tossing sealed cards at Kabuto as fast as he could. Haku charged at Kabuto as he ducked and dodged Naruto's cards. Haku threw a handful of senbon needles. Kabuto rolled backwards to evade them only to find a large group of vines trying to wrap around him. He leapt straight up and latched onto a hanging tree limb.
"Oh look at this!" Kabuto crowed excitedly. "You seem to have a hidden bloodline Naruto-kun, my master will indeed be interested in that."
"You'll never reach him with the information." Came Haku's ice cold voice in his ear. It was only by the skin of his teeth that Kabuto dodged Haku's palm thrust. His eyes widened in fear when the palm hit the tree trunk and with a snap hiss sound, the tree flash froze in an instant. Then the tree shattered into diamond dust.
"My my that is a devastating justu." He said chidingly. "You should be careful that could hurt someone if you aren't careful." On the outside Kabuto was happy and giddy, however on the inside he was terrified. That move would kill him. There was no healing from becoming microscopic shards of ice.
"That was your last mistake." Naruto roared as Kabuto felt the thick briar infested vines squeeze him. "poison briar bindings: Evisceration."
Kabuto managed to get out of the attack but the substitution wasn't fast enough to escape unscathed. Kabuto looked at Naruto with utter loathing. "This is nothing you worthless piece of ninja trash!" He roared only to begin coughing and his vision start to blur around the edges. The last thing he saw was Haku's cold expression right in front of him. The last thing he heard were the chilling words. "Is this also nothing?" and the last thing he felt was a palm strike delivered to his midsection, before the world disappeared in an artic chill.
"Let's go report to gramps he'll need to know the traitor has been executed." Naruto said gruffly looking at the scattered pile of diamond dust being blown away on the slight breeze.
"Yeah, then we can leave and go back to wave before this whole incident in a month blows up."
Haku said wearily. Naruto felt bad that Haku had to kill Kabuto, knowing how Haku felt about killing. Naruto wrapped up his boyfriend in a tight hug, and buried his face in Haku's shoulders.
"I'm sorry. I should have asked someone else." Naruto said unhappily.
"No there was no time. I chose this life knowing full well I'd have to kill eventually." Haku said turning in Naruto's arms and returning the hug. "Now come on Naru-kun we need to talk to the Hokage and then we can go back to wave. I want to see my father again."
Naruto nodded in the embrace before pulling on the feeling of the Hiraishin seal he had left in the hokage's office. The two boys disappeared in a flash of yellow light. They appeared right in front of the hokage's desk, which caused everyone in the room to jump in shock.
"The traitor is dead Hokage-sama." Haku said looking at Sarutobi with a slight smile.
"Very well, thank you for the report. You may go. The three mentioned earlier are waiting at your compound." Sarutobi said with a smile. He had to hide a chuckle when the two boys disappeared the same way they arrived, leaving a thoroughly gobsmacked group of village elders.
Naruto finally let go of Haku only to be ambushed by the Konohamaru corp. plus Pele. He only got out an 'eep' before being knocked to the ground. Haku had to bite his lower lip to keep from screaming kawaii at the top of his lungs. Naruto finally managed to get off the ground and said.
"Are you chibi's ready for some ninja training?"
"Yes big bro/sis." Was the unanimous response. Which was the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back, as Haku fell over laughing. Naruto pouted but simply turned from him and shouted.
"Uzumaki family! Time to go come to the courtyard for evacuation to wave country!" When everyone was in the courtyard Naruto had them all hug him as tightly as possible. There was a bright flash of yellow and they all disappeared.
