He wasn't as dense as everyone made him out to be. In fact, he was usually the first one to find out about things. Instead of spilling the information out, he'd wait until someone else confirmed it. No, he wasn't at all dense. He knew when Sakura thought about transferring schools because of a certain unrequited love. He knew when Kiba's dog had to undergo surgery. He knew when Gaara stopped himself from smashing a boy's face in. He knew when Sai almost quit painting. So it was almost natural instinct when he knew that Sasuke was in pain…emotionally. This was rare; because he was normally indifferent about the world. Sticking up that 'I-could-give-a-shit' face—which aggravated the male to no end.

When the blonde entered his room, he saw Sasuke eating away angrily at a bag of chips. His normally messy room was completely spotless which caused him to raise a brow.

"Um, what's up?" Naruto asked as he plopped down on the orange beanbag near his bed.

Sasuke didn't even spare him a glance before saying, "Keep your damn room clean, you slob."

Naruto blinked at the sudden outburst and crossed his arms.

"I should mess this room up, just to piss you off," he threatened and was earned a sharp glare.

"You do that and I'll castrate you," Sasuke said through clenched teeth. The blonde haired male shrugged and made himself comfortable. He knew the glaring male would crack in 3… 2… 1…

When Naruto didn't hear anything he opened one eye and looked up at the male. There sat Sasuke looking at the floor with nothing showing on his face but his eyes swam with hurt. He'd only show this side to a few people. The blonde was happy to be one of those few.

"Who am I jumping, princess?" Naruto questioned and Sasuke threw a pillow at his face.

"Who are you calling princess, moron?" Sasuke asked with a vein popping out on his clenched fist. "I'll kill you."

"There's the Sasuke I know, with all the death threats and such," Naruto grinned and Sasuke stood to kick the male in the side. Naruto growled and tripped him so that they could fight fairly.

For the past five minutes they wrestled each other until Naruto accidently hit his head on TV stand. He groaned in pain and held his now throbbing skull. Sasuke sat on the sidelines and laughed at the moron's antics. Naruto stopped rubbing his head and looked at the laughing male. He inwardly grinned and was happy to know that he helped his friend at least laugh today. When the male's laughter died down, Naruto saw that his face seemed to be slightly down.

"I'm going to break up with her," Sasuke said suddenly and lay down on the newly clean floor.

Naruto stopped rubbing his head and stared in shock at the sudden comment. He knew many things but this kind of information was something he hadn't known. The blonde knew that his friend was dating their English teacher. It was pretty obvious really. The signs were all there, from the side glances at each other to the slightly random blushes from the female. Not to mention the creepy and awkward smirk that rose up on Sasuke's face when Hinata did a small mistake or turned to write on the chalk board. They seemed happy for the most part. Sure, there were times when Sasuke became whiny and acted like a bratty little girl that he knew they were arguing. But those times usually passed by quickly. In these months that he knew of their relationship, he was sure that Sasuke was at his happiest.

"Take this advice, never date an older woman. Their just troublesome," Sasuke continued and ran a hand through his dark locks. Naruto turned his attention on the open window, which stroke the male as weird. The blue sky seemed to darken by the minute and he watched as birds danced in it.

"You can stay here if you want. I'm sure Jiraiya wouldn't mind cooking for one more person," Naruto suggested to him with sparkling blue eyes. Sasuke shrugged and then turned to the grinning blonde.

"What's wrong with you?" he asked and was startled by the sudden outburst.

"Bro Sleepover!" Naruto yelled loudly with his arms raised in the air. He placed Sasuke in a headlock and ruffled his hair. "It's going to be awesome!"

"What are you a girl, dobe?" Sasuke asked and pushed Naruto off of him. The blonde was grinning from ear to ear and looked like he wanted to laugh. No, Naruto wasn't dense at all. This was why he knew that Sasuke wasn't going to dump anyone anytime soon.

She rubbed her suddenly sore throat and tried to speak but only a hoarse squeak came out. Her lilac eyes stared at the mute television as the characters danced across the screen with smiles on their faces. A frown graced her features as she watched the characters kiss as the background people sang. She looked down at her lap and tried to figure out what she'd done wrong. She was sure that they were fine this morning.

When she woke up, he was cooking for her which went horribly wrong. But it was the thought that touched Hinata's heart. Then she took a day off, just so she could take care of him. He seemed to have a fever and she knew she wouldn't concentrate if he was sick. She calmed his fever and helped him fight off the nightmares haunting his dreams. They didn't speak because he was sleeping. How could they even be in a fight? Then a question popped up inside Hinata's brain. Were they even fighting?

She shook her head and put on a determined face. She concluded that they couldn't be in an argument if they hadn't even spoken. Her lilac eyes turned back to the still embracing characters. A smile arose on her features as she realized that she was getting upset for no reason. Maybe the something came up and the male was in a rush somewhere. She was sure that he'd be back soon. The door bell rang and she stood up hurriedly to answer it.

"Ah, Hideki," Hinata said and the excited smile on her face fell slightly. The male looked up at her and smirked.

"Was I not the person you were expecting?" He asked and his deep voice turned her stomach into butterflies.

"N-No, but you're welcome to e-enter," Hinata moved to the side and allowed him entrance into her home. Hideki took three steps before looking around, almost as if he was inspecting the place. Hinata stood awkwardly beside him with a flushed face. His dark eyes turned to look at her and his smirk grew in size.

"You don't change do you Hyuuga?" Hideki asked and was amused when her face turned even brighter.

"I-I do change! I'm t-taller and my h-hair grew and… Oh I'm an adult," Hinata countered proudly with crossed arms. The male nodded but held up three fingers.

"Nice list you got there," he teased causing the female's cheeks to puff up.

"What about you?" she asked as they moved to sit down on the couch. Hideki sat across from her and looked into her eyes.

"I'm think we already know what has changed," he answered vaguely. His answer didn't satisfy her but she didn't press anymore into it.

"Would you like something to drink?" Hinata asked suddenly.

"No actually, I'm here more for business than visiting," Hideki announced quickly and reached inside his jacket to take out an envelope.

"Ah! I forgot about Temari's mail," Hinata said suddenly and raced to rummage through her bag. "Found you!"

Hideki stared at her for a brief moment before clearing his throat and saying, "Did you not hear me Hyuuga?"

"Ah, yes forgive me," she walked back to her seat and sat patiently.

"Alright, well as I was saying. I'm here for business that involves your father," Hideki said and motioned toward the envelope that lay on the table. Hinata opened and cautiously read through the contents.

"I apologize that you came all this way for nothing," Hinata said stiffly and placed the letter back on the table.

"You're both stubborn people, so the fact that he is reaching out to you is important," Hideki argued and Hinata crossed her arms.

"I will repeat; I apologize that you came all this way for nothing," Hinata replied with no room for argument in her voice. She wasn't a respected teacher for nothing.

Hideki sighed and placed a business card on the table as he stood. "I'll be back every day up until the day of this dinner. Every day that you refuse is another day of my annoying face back in your home."

"What if I just not answer the door?" Hinata countered with a sharp glare which Hideki countered with his own.

"Then I'll just buy a key from the woman next door," Hideki said gruffly.

"What the—Does that woman have a sign announcing that she has spare keys to my home?" Hinata asked in disbelief and her glare disappeared. "It was somewhat nice to see you Hideki."

"Likewise, we are still on for dinner on Saturday correct?" The male asked and a slight blush adorned her cheeks.

"Yes, we are," she answered and watched him leave her home. Her lilac eyes traveled down to the business card he placed on the table and sighed at the name. Hiashi Hyuuga.

She bit her lip as she tried to decide between throwing the card away or calling the number printed in perfect script. With a sigh she gripped her cell phone and dialed the number in. The soft vibrating buzz went on for a moment before an unfamiliar voice answered.

"Hello, Hiashi Hyuuga's office, Amaya speaking," The voice was sweet but seemed to have an edge to it as well. Almost as if it was a machine speaking.

"Hello, is my—Mr. Hyuuga available at this moment, it's his daughter speaking," Hinata answered and tiredly sat down on her couch.

"You can't possibly be Hanabi, because she's standing right in front of me. Please refrain from calling again," Amaya said curtly and was about to hang up in any second.

Hinata's eyes widened in shock and slight annoyance. Had her disappearance really made it seem as if Hiashi only had one daughter? If that was the case, then what was thought about her mother? Was she also another figment of their imagination?

"Wait! It's his oldest daughter Hinata Hyuuga!" The young woman urged and heard gasp over the line.

"Forgive me Ms. Hyuuga, it just slipped my mind! Please don't tell Mr. Hyuuga about this!" Amaya pleaded over and over again.

"It's fine, but is he available at this moment?"

"Yes, he's just on lunch break. I'll send you over to him," Amaya's hurried voice answered. There a click and for a brief moment, Hinata thought the woman hung up on her. She sighed and was going to end the call when the gruff voice of her father answered.

"I'm assuming this is about what I sent Hideki to do," Hiashi said, not even bothering to greet his eldest daughter.

"Good afternoon Father… Yes that was the reason for my calling," Hinata said softly and closed her eyes as she listened to his barely audible sigh.

"What seems to be the problem? I'm inviting you to a family dinner. Hanabi, Neji, you and I will be the only ones attending—"

"Then is it really a whole family dinner if mother isn't attending?" Hinata cut him off bravely.

"The doctors have informed that she is in a coma. How would she attend?" Hiashi said with calmness though she could hear the slight annoyance in his voice.

"Which is why I won't be attending and may I add that sending Hideki to do your work was awfully cruel," Hinata said with a slight glare she wanted to direct at him.

"You're adding more problems onto nothing, just like your mother. Listen to me child, you either attend the dinner or you don't. It really has no affect on me but on Hanabi," Hiashi said curtly.

Hinata was silent for a moment as she thought about his words. She had realized a while back that whenever she spoke to her father, she was always became worked up and stiff. She then remembered that she hadn't spoken to her sister since that day the female had called.

"I'll be attending this dinner then. However, I'd like to ask that next time you'd ask me yourself," Hinata said and closed her eyes.

"Yes, I'm hanging up now," then there was click.

Hinata was exhausted as she thought of what she was probably in store for. Without noticing, she welcomed slumber and drifted off into a nap.

Next Day

"Hey! Get your lazy ass up Inuzuka!" Naruto called from his window into the next home. From there he was sucker punched by a pillow, which was thrown with immense strength.

"Shut the hell up Uzumaki!" Kiba screamed back with a fist raised in the air.

Sasuke walked into the room to find Naruto who was on the ground, almost paralyzed raising his hand up, to show the middle finger. The blonde swore on his life that he'd get the brunette back for his new pain. Sasuke continued brushing his teeth and watched with a newfound interest. Naruto and Kiba argued back and forth from their windows and suddenly Kiba was kicked in the face.

"Boy, you're going to be late for school if you keep at it like this!" Tsume then turned to Naruto. "And you! You're not even dressed, get dressed before I beat you into a pulp."

The young men both growled at each other before doing what the brunette's mother told them to. Sasuke went to wash out his mouth and a sweet smell entered his nose.

"Pervy-sage! Since when can you make pancakes? I thought breakfast takeout was your game," Naruto said with a raised brow as he set the small table. Sasuke sat down and watched the uncle and nephew interact.

"Well a girl I'm seeing says she likes men who can cook. So I'm taking baby steps," Jiraiya laughed as he put the sloppy pancakes on plates.

"Well they look gross but taste pretty good," Naruto complimented and motioned for Sasuke to try some. Sasuke hesitantly took a bit and mentally agreed with the blonde.

"Nice work you old pervert," Sasuke praised and took a sip of his orange juice.

When they finished eating and saying their goodbyes, they walked out of the home and were greeted with Kiba's grinning face.

"Morning guys," the brunette said and received a nod from Sasuke and a high five from Naruto.

"Dude, your mom is pretty hot when she's angry," Naruto said with a nod and dodged a hit from Kiba. The brunette gave him the finger and placed an arm around Naruto's shoulders.

"Thank god we have that hot babe Ms. Hyuuga as our first period teacher. Her class is so relaxing, especially so early in the morning," Kiba said happily, unknowing that Sasuke was sending him a death glare.

"I know but I hear her seventh period class is full of asses," Naruto added on and nudged Sasuke in the gut. The male started walking up ahead and plugged in his headphones.

"Yeah, but I prefer being her favorite class. She gave me a 90 last marking period," Naruto said proudly.

"I bet you she didn't want to. She wanted to fail your ass so hard since you're so annoying," Kiba said with scoff and dodged the punch; he was seconds away from receiving.

"Shut up! You're just jealous she gave you an 89," Naruto countered and from there started their argument. It involved smack talking and missed punches.

Sasuke waited at the yellow bar until he felt a tap on his shoulder.

"Naruto I'm not going to enter this annoying argument," Sasuke said with a glare and turned to lilac eyes staring back at him.

"Sorry, I'm not Naruto," Hinata giggled. "Good morning Sasuke."

"…Good morning," he then turned back to the yellow bar. Hinata stood beside him and poked his cheek.

"Still tired?" Hinata asked.

Sasuke smacked her hand away and shook his head. The young woman sighed and looked straight ahead.

"She woke up last night, my mother I mean," Hinata said softly and even then Sasuke didn't look at her.

"Congratulations," Sasuke said plainly and stuffed his hands into his pockets.

Hinata's eyelids lowered slightly but she smiled anyway.

"See you at school, Sasuke," Hinata said before she quickly crossed the tracks, leaving him behind her. Sasuke watched her walked away and shook his head. He couldn't speak to her like that; it hurt him more than it probably did her. So with that thought in mind he called her name loudly. He didn't seem to care that Naruto and Kiba could be behind him at this moment. Hinata turned around to face him with a raised brow and looked up at his raised hand. In it was the black cat bracelet that she secretly placed in his pocket when she was angry. He hadn't given it back to her but to see it in his hand now made her smile.

"You forgot to put this back on," Sasuke said just loud enough for her hear. Hinata ran back to him and hugged him. Sasuke almost fell down but he caught himself and rubbed her back. She looked up at him and suddenly pressed her lips against his. Sasuke held her against him when a giant breeze hit them and looked down to see her laughing. He raised a brow and she grinned up at him.

"Shall we go, good sir?" Hinata asked and received a nod.

"But first let me give you back your throne," Sasuke said playing along with her. Hinata held her hand up and watched as he struggled to connect the clip. A laugh escaped her lips and she ruffled his hair. He briefly looked down at her and a small smile rose up on his lips. He felt stupid. As if he could ever leave this woman.

They walked beside each other talking about a movie Hinata saw yesterday.

"And I swear to you, I thought I was going to die of laughter. Who does that kind of thing?" Hinata said and had her hair ruffled by the male. A blush caressed her cheeks and was pulled close to the male.

"Ah, S-Sasuke I have something to ask you," Hinata said suddenly and received a nod from the male to continue. "Are you still going to come to my house every day?"

"Yeah, I'm going to leave marks all over you just to let that hideous thing know you're mine," Sasuke said with all seriousness but Hinata kept laughing.

"But I think you look like him, so doesn't that make you hideous as well?" Hinata asked in between laughing. Sasuke glared at her and pulled her hair.

"Do you want to die?" he asked and received a nod from the playful Hyuuga. "Alright, you will regret this later when I'm kissing you all over, and when you beg me to continue I'll just stop."

"What? You can't do that! That should be…illegal or something!" Hinata said with her blush darkening. Sasuke smirked and pinched her cheeks.

"You asked for it Hyuuga," Sasuke warned and received a kiss on the cheek. "What was that for?"

"A peace treaty," Hinata grinned and held up the peace sign. "Now you can't do that."

"I thought I had to agree to the peace treaty," Sasuke countered.

"Ah, well you may kiss—mmph," she was cut off by his pressed onto hers. His arms wrapped around her waist and his fingers playfully pinching her sides.

"Peace treaty denied," Sasuke said when they parted. Hinata gasped and chased after him, who was laughing at her blushing face. He couldn't deny that adorable face anything. She was a horrible weakness but she kept him wanting more. A guilty pleasure maybe? He didn't know but with her chasing him, he knew that he was happy. At least for now. Sasuke knew that they wouldn't always be happy. They were both stubborn people, but as long as there were still moments like this he was alright.

Missed me? Yep that's the end of the story! I'm joking! It's just the end of the chapter. Did you enjoy it? I sort of wanted to show Sasuke's attachment to Hinata at the end.
