Hi again! Well, the daily updates were nice while they lasted. I was going to update much sooner, but my laptop died right as I was about to save the chapter, and when I plugged it in the document was gone.
Anyways, thank you ArtemisCarolineSnow for the review (thanks!), Annabeth- TheTributeThatLived for the review (the avox was originally Darius but then I remembered that he wasn't an avox until Catching Fire, so he sorta became Pollux ^.^), Afsanabegum19 for the review (*sigh* I wish Johanna would kill Snow. I freaking hate that guy!), and marisolnail for faving.
Disclaimer: I do not own The Hunger Games or anything else I may mention. I also do not own my sister's OCs (Rose, Lizzy, and Felicia).

Chapter 21: Victory Banquet of Doom
Bubble wasn't lying when she said Snow censored the broadcast. Instead of showing Lumi's bow hit the monster, it showed me killing it with an axe. And then? The screen turned black-and-white with the words signal lost printed neatly in the center. If I had to give Snow one compliment, it would be that he's clever. Well, I suppose he isn't too clever, because if he was he would strengthen the peacekeeping force in District 12. Blight is always talking about the conditions there. Poor, but you can do virtually anything if you set your mind to it. He says it's the perfect place to start a rebellion, and I somewhat agree.
"Johanna, is there anything you can say about the remainder of the Games?" Caesar asks, but I know better. This is a trap.
"Well Caesar, if I told you now I wouldn't have anything to talk about during my interview, would I?" I smirk. I have to hold it together, otherwise they'll know something's up. Easier said than done though.
The anthem plays as Snow mounts the stage. His two year old granddaughter Rose toddles behind him, holding a pillow with a golden tiara lying on it. Snow takes the tiara from the pillow and places it on my head. The cold look in his snakelike eyes makes me shudder and look away.
"Citizens of Panem, I give you your victor!"
….
"Miss Mason, I am a huge fan of yours," a man with aqua skin and pink hair says with a wink.
"Thanks," I cough, trying to keep my dinner from making a reappearance.
"I hope to see you around," he says as he leaves, throwing in another wink. Gag me.
"Johanna, can we have a little chat?" a woman in her mid-20's asks. Great, it's President Snow's daughter Thorne. I nod my head, because what else am I supposed to do? Disobey her and possibly get executed or something? No thanks.
When we're a considerable distance from the rest of the crowd, Thorne turns to me and says in almost a whisper, "I feel sorry for you."
"What?"
"You just don't know what you're getting yourself into, do you?"
"Um…"
"The rebellion," she says, raising a violet eyebrow.
"What! How did you-
"You can't hide anything from the President of Panem. Or his daughter for that matter," Thorne says. "But good luck anyways. Believe it or not I'm all for stopping these Games."
I stare at her in disbelief. What does she have against the Games that the rest of the Capitol doesn't? At first I think she's lying, but then I see it. A rebellious spark in her eyes. The same spark I see in my parents' eyes, in Ivy and Maple's eyes, in Lumi's eyes as she took her last breath. The spark I see in my own eyes. And I know she's telling the truth.
Our little moment is ruined when she snaps her head in a different direction and yells, "Lizzy! Felicia! Stop pulling on the curtains!"
I turn my head and see a pair of guilty looking five year olds standing in a pile of cashmere. Oops, too late. But seriously Snow, cashmere curtains? Does he even know how long that takes the citizens of District 8 to make cashmere? Jerk.
"I have to go," Thorne says, sprinting towards the two girls who have now buried themselves in the fabric that used to be curtains. I briefly wonder if I did anything like that when I was five. Probably not, but then again this mansion is practically built so kids can get in trouble.
I wander around the ballroom for a while looking for Blight. I haven't seen him since we got here.
"Hey Johanna!" Finnick yells, running up to me.
"Hey Finnick," I say, trying to conceal my nervousness. "I didn't know you would be here."
"Tigris wanted me to go. Otherwise she'd have no intelligent company other than the twins," Finnick shrugs.
"Who?" I ask.
"Lavinia and Lucius. They're the stylists for District 1," Finnick explains.
"No, who's Tigris?" I ask.
"Oh, she's just my stylist. The best one I could ask for too," Finnick says.
"So I'm guessing she's with the twins right now?" I ask.
"Yes and that leaves me with no intelligent company. So I decided I'd find you before a Capitolite finds me," Finnick says.
"Okay. So what is there to do here?"
"You pretty much thank your sponsors. You only had like 3 so you should be good to go," Finnick says. "Other than that you get to wander around the room like an idiot. Fun right?"
"Yay," I say sarcastically.
"Johanna!" a familiar voice gasps. I turn around and see Blight with a nervous look in his eyes.
"What's wrong?" I ask.
"Snow wants to see you."
…...
Yes, Lavinia is the same Lavinia from the books. Lucius is the boy that was with her when they captured her. Just clearing that up.
Quote of the day!
"Eat dirt!" –Teen Titans, Terra Markov
The only reason I think that's so funny is because I read Warrior Cats. "Dirt" is what they call… um… you know…
May the odds be ever in your favor,
