Chap 21- The puzzle pieces are falling into place
Kim's Cabin
Kim was curled up on the bathroom floor wrapped up in Tommy's arms crying.." He..He.."
" I know Kim."
" He..she..both of th-them."
Tommy just continued to rub Kim's back
" He died protecting not only his wife, but their children and me."
" Jack did what he knew what was right."
Kim nodded her head.." But it shouldn't have cost him his life though, both Jack and Willa should be here to raise their kids."
" I know Kim, but whomever was the master mind is made up mind the moment Jack stood up for what he believed in and walked away, no one can know what will happen in life."
" You got a point."
" And to think, you could've been there with them and all of us who knew you would be upset, mad, and in pain because we had lost you, so just think about it for a second Kim."
Kim thought about it.." If I was home earlier than usual, then I could've been like them, or I could've possibly helped them stay alive."
" Yeah, but that is not the way it works."
" No it's not."
" It's a shame what had happened to them, a lost like that is unbearable to bear but your a strong woman who will get through this."
" But not alone." Kim stated skeptically
Tommy glanced down at Kim.." No..not more."
" We still have alot to talk about though."
" I know we do."
Kim nodded her head.."Okay."
" Alright."
Kim dried her face then she got up off of the floor.." I don't think a jail sentence will be suitable for the one who killed Willa and Jack, that lunatic robbed Demetrius and Desiree of their parents love and that is the way I feel about that."
Tommy got up and leaned against the wall.." And she will get her judgement day."
" Kim."
Both Kim and Tommy turned towards the door seeing David next to the frame
" Officer Chaines needs to see the pictures that Willa left for you."
" Oh okay, is there something in there that might help out with the case." Kim asked
" There might be something in the box, that might just put a name to mastermind's face." David explained
" The box is on in the closet on the shelf."
" Would you like for me to get it for you."
Kim nodded her head yes
David turned and headed down the hallway and going inside Kim's room and going straight for the closet. David opened the door and glanced up at the shelf and then he lifted his arms and placed them on the box and lifted it off of the shelf.." Please let something in here help us." David mumbled softly as he turned and headed out of the room and carried it out towards the dining room and then he sat the box on the table
Kim and Tommy soon rejoined them
" Are you okay Kim." Zack implied
" Yes I'm okay now." Kim answered quietly as she eyed the box then she took a deep breath in and then out.." I never touched these ever since they were given to me on that fateful night."
The guys just nodded their heads
Kim opened the box and pulled out a picture, it was a picture of Jack showing off his physique.." This is Jack and he was always goofing off, case in point this picture of him hamming it up for the camera.." Willa is taking the picture and he loved hearing her laugh."
Tommy and David glanced down at the picture
Kim took a few more pics out of the box with Jack either flipping in the air, blowing kisses at the camera or just being his easy going self.." He was a good looking guy who only had eyes for his wife."
David kept a stoic face on the outside but on the inside he was laughing because he caught the green eyed monster his brother had going on at the mention of Jack being a good looking guy comment from Kim
Kim sat the pics on the table then she reached back inside the box and picked up another pic this time it was a pic of Willa.." This is Willa." Kim sat the pic on the table
Zack, Tommy, David and officer Chaines glanced down at the pic staring at the pic
" Jack took that pic of her and he said that this was his favorite pic of her, unguarded and au natural."
" She was a gorgeous woman." Tommy inputs
" Yeah she was Tommy, Desiree will have her mother's good looks but her father's stubborn attitude." Kim applied softly
' And with no hint of a green eyed monster' David thought to himself
" And Demetrius will also make sure that nothing happens to his sister." David added as Kim picked up another pic then she placed it on the table
" What happened here."
" Oh..Jack lost a bet." Kim said with a smile and I came out as the winner, and Willa had to decide the prize and the prize was a pie to the winner to loser." Kim revealed as she pushed the pictured to the side
" It seemed like you three where just three little peas in a pod."
" We were happy." Kim affirmed wistfully as she pulled some more pics out and placed them down on the table
" Oh no you didn't." Zack stated as he picked up a certain picture
" It was Halloween, and it was our own little party that the three of us celebrated together." Kim replied with a wide smile
" So the whole time you have known them the three of you never went to parties." Zack inquired as he set the pic down
" Yeah we did go to some but we stuck to ourselves at those parties and sometimes we just figured that instead of going out we could just celebrate with one another and that's what we did."
" Avoiding the drama."
" Basically."
Officer Chaines put some of the pics to the side that might not useful and then he put the ones that could be useful to his right
Kim pulled out another couple of pics.." This was pic from their high school prom, this one was from their college dance that I attended and I think that night was the best night of Jack's life for he had two girls on his arm." Kim explains and when she got to the last one her eyes started to tear up.." This pic is of Willa when they came home from the hospital after the first miscarraige."
" She's smiling."
" All because of Jack." Kim informed as she took a photo of both Willa and Jack.." I'm gonna have this one framed for both of them."
David and Tommy each grabbed a hold of Kim's hands offering silent support
" Thank you both."
David and Tommy bobbed their heads
Kim reached in took the next photo and she took her time with the picture before she put it down on the table.. " Jack came home one day in a real bad mood, me and Willa was wondering what had him frowning."
" I guess with the news that was revealed earlier now has picture to possibly prove that Jack was still upset after that meeting." Officer Chaines applied
Kim nodded in agreement as she reached into the box and she picked up the photo album
Tommy moved the box to the floor
Kim sat down in the chair then she reached out and opened the book
" A Letter." Officer Chaines whispered
Kim lifted the paper up and read it out loud..
Girl,
If you are reading this letter then I know that something has happened to me or Jack or both of us and that day when both of us was wondering why in the hell was Jack so mad, well he told me after you left that night we were in trouble, he told me that I had to act quickly by making sure that you have sole custody of our children Kim. And I did all of that, we don't know when that day would happen and I didn't want you around in case you were in the cross hairs.
Kim placed the letter down
" Wow."
" Unbelievable ."
Kim gathered herself together and she picked up the letter..
We had documented the pregnancy in photos they are in the album..but Kim this is where we get serious, I had a feeling that this might come as a shock to you, and the person who is putting us in danger is in the book, I wrote a note on the back of the picture so it is there. Jack once told us that life is a complicated road to live and we promised him that we would never go down that road..women in general shouldn't have to need men saiivating and throwing money on you just because of your shaking your body for attention. We never needed to do that and Jack was proud of us for sticking to our morals, you know that alot of girls go that route for their own reason and you know how my mind worked Kim especially after what me and Jack went through with our parents.
" Kim what happened to their parents."
" Both of their parents disowned them, left them clearly cut off." Kim stated then she went back to the letter
Now don't misinterpret my words me and Jack where married and I was his wife so I was no prude..oooppps I shouldn't have written that in this letter, but Kim you have to understand that I'm writing this letter to you and I'm scared for my life, my husband's life and the lives of our children..Life can be so cruel and I can't believe that anyday now we can be gone, and there will be pain, there will be heartache, tears, and then there will come the time to make the..
Kim turned the page over and looked for the next part of Willia's letter but there wasn't anything written on the back, and Kim's attention went immediately for the photo album
Tommy, David, Zack and Officer Chaines watched as Kim flipped the lid open and started removing the pics from the pages left and right and flipping them over before setting them aside
Each of the guys picked the pictures up and put them together but didn't say anything
Kim got to the last page and the pictured staring back at her was the picture of Willa's Aunt
" Is that." Officer Chaines asked
Kim removed the picture and stared at it
On the back of the photo is the words that had the attention of the men
" Kim look on the back." Zack suggested
Kim glanced at the picture never paying Zack no mind.
Tommy glanced at Zack who then glanced at David and all three knew right then and there that something has awakened and that certain something is about to be released...
