A/N: Hey sorry for taking so long to load a new story. I'll be honest as to why I wasn't able to load until now was because I have a job that takes up most of my time and on my extra time I have fun with my friends. Also it doesn't help that I'm addicted to Pokemon Moon to update my fanfic a bit and adding new plots and twists to the story. I will continuing writing as long as I have the inspiration and time to do it I just hope you guys who are reading are inspiring me. Parallel Hearts Chapter 21
Midori wakes up to the morning sun on her face, after getting up and stretches her arms in the air, she notices that the others are still asleep. But what catches her attention the most is the fact that Rose is sleeping in her crush's arms, "you lucky girl."
Not wanting Knolla and Beauty to be distracted by this cute, little image, the snivy decides to walk up to the two slumbering pokemon to wake them up by shaking their shoulders. "C'mon you two, wake up," she whispers.
After a bit of stirring, the pikachu and buneary slowly begin to open their eyes to see the snivy above them, then they look at each other for a moment.
Rose's brain was still half-asleep as she remains in the pikachu's arms. Is this a dream? It has to be. If it is, she doesn't want to wake up. She snuggles back into Mega's soft fur to fall back asleep. She loves how comfortable she is in his arms, it feels like heaven.
Then, all of what happened last night kicked in, the buneary finally realizes this isn't a dream! She really is in Mega's arms! Rose's immediate reactions takes over as she madly blushes, jumps out of his arms, and quickly hides her face with the fluff around her waist. The buneary screams, luckily nobody can hear her through her fluff, in both happiness and embarrassment.
Midori couldn't help but giggle at how the buneary's responses to waking up in the pikachu's arms. "I'm taking you had a good night sleep," she teases the bunny girl, only to cause Rose's blush to deepen into darker shade of red, making the snivy giggle even more.
Mega has a confusing look on his face as he tilts his head to the left, "why is she acting like that?"
Midori sighs at Mega's question and pets his head, "you'll understand some day."
After calming down from the embarrassing incident, Rose sees the others waking up from their slumbering state, "man I need to find a better place to sleep," Breaker complains.
A half-asleep Zero turns to him, "don't worry, if this mission is a success you can sleep in a much more luxourious place," Zero says as he pets the bull pokemon's puts him back to full throttle as he gets ready to pursue with his part of the mission. Zero grabs the remaining food from everyone's bags, "time for breakfast," he says as he grabs an apple and starts eating it.
As everyone begins to eat, there was complete silence between all of them. Mega looks at everyone around him and sees doubt in their eyes, even Zero has the same look, he sighs as he wants to say to everyone that everything is going to be alright.
"Everyone listen up," Mega shouts, grabbing their attention, "you can't afford to self-doubt... if you do, I'll give you a good one to the face." He raises his fist to refer to what he's going to do.
The team starts to smile as he says this and cheers for victory that will come to them, even Zero smiles as well, how Mega does it is beyond him.
Luna starts flying around the facility that they're trying to get in, when she finished scanning the area she goes back to Zero, "there are a total of four human guards, one on each corner tower," she informs him, "and three houndooms guarding the front entrance."
Zero smiles at the opportunity they have, he turns to the squads he seperated, "we need to knock out the guards in the towers." He turns to Midori, "you can take one guard down without being noticed, I can trust you on that."
Then he turns to Knolla, "you can fly, but since we can't take the risk of Metronome, you'll need someone with you on this." He points at Beauty, "that's where you come in," he looks at Luna and Mega, "I need you two to knock out a guard without getting notice, got that?"
They nod in understanding, "and I'll knock out the last guard," he turns to Breaker, Fast Star, and Striker, "after we disable the guard system, you guys charge in and break through the gates, creating a riot." The three likes the sound of that idea and nods in understandment.
"Quick Attack," Mega whispers as he runs up the wall to the tower with great speed, Luna following pursuit, "remember to be quick and silent," she reminds him.
"I know what I'm doing," he replies as he reaches up the rails of the tower and finds a hiding place, "here's the plan." Mega looks over the windows to see the human guard looking over fields, "you hit him with Supersonic then I'll knock him out with my Thunder Punch, got that?" Luna nods as Mega slowly climbs up the door to open it.
"What a beautiful day," they hear the guard say, "it's too good to be have such a day like thi-" "Supersonic!" As if that saying is cursed, Luna releases supersonic waves from her mouth towards the guard.
When the waves connects with him, he starts getting dizzy and tipsy all over the place, "Thunder Punch," Mega punches the guard in the head with his thunderous fist, making him fall to the ground. The guard loses consciousness as he closes his eyes, "that went well," Mega says and notices a rope below the desk in front of him, "I'll tie him up, tell Zero I'm finish with my part." With that, Luna goes flying towards where the co-ed leading treecko is suppose to be.
Zero slowly climbs the walls and reaches the rails to the tower, "so far so good," he says to himself and looks inside the window. Unlike the guard Mega took out, this male guard is very serious with his duties, Zero slowly climbs to the top part of the door that leads inside the guard tower.
As he quietly opens the door- "who's there?" He quickly climbs up the door frame, hoping he didn't get noticed.
"Relax Tom, it's you're older sister." Zero quickly relieves himself as he was hanging upside down, with his jacket wavering over his head, he looks inside to see two humans talking among themselves.
"So Experiment 421 hasn't return yet, huh?" He overhears the woman says, making Tom sigh and reply, "no... we need him to keep all of our jobs."
Zero knows he can't be exposed yet during this mission, but he needs to make sure he can attack without them exposing his existence throughout the entire facilty.
Luckily for him, Luna starts flying towards his part of the tower, "Mega is done and is waiting for the signal," she informs him.
"You couldn't have possibly come here at a better time Luna," he whispers to the zubat, "I need your help as well."
This makes the zubat smile, "ok, leave it to me," she flies in through the open door, "Supersonic," she releases supersonic waves from her mouth, towards the exposed guards.
The attack went through and they start feeling dizzy and to the ground, "Pound," Zero jumps in through the doors underneath him and flips his tails down toward the expose guards' heads.
They soon slip into unconsiousness from the sudden impact, "thank you for your assistance," Zero says to Luna, "you can rest for right now if you want."
The bat pokemon just simply lay on Zero's head, and starts snoring lightly, making the treecko laugh a little. He finds a piece of rope hanging on the wall and tie the two gurads' arms and legs up, "I hope you can do a better job than I just did, Midori," he says as he looks at the tower where the snivy is suppose to be in.
"Vine Whip," Midori shouts as two sets of vines grows out of the sides of her neck, she reaches towards the railing part of the watch tower with her newly grown vines, "I hope Zero is alright."
She pulls herself up from the ground to the tower's floorboard and looks through the window. The guard there is already sleeping on the chair he's on, "this is too easy," she says to herself and just simply opens the door with her vines. Midori quickly notices the rope below the desk and grabs it, then she tied the guard up.
After that, she grabs a pair of duct tape and wraps it around his mouth. When she was done with her part, Midori looks over where Beauty and Knolla are suppose to be in, "I hope you'll be alright."
"Knolla be more careful," Beauty orders the togetic as they fly up the tower.
"I'm not... used to... carrying pokemon around... especially you," Knolla replies as she struggles with her arms and wings to carry Beauty over the railing, she barely manage to succeed and was out of breath.
Beauty looks at the guard through the window, only to see the guard is looking back at her... there's total silence as the two stare at each other, until the guard reaches into her pocket and grabs a pokeball, presses the button in the middle to make it bigger, and attempts to throw it at Beauty.
However, the glass between them is what stopped the pokeball from hitting her and it breaks upon impact, Beauty sighs in relief to see that this human's an idiot. She looks at the togetic to see that she finally caught her breath, "Knolla, I need you to stay out here while I knock her unconsious."
Knolla tilts her head as Beauty walks in through the crack on the door, "I don't know how you got in here, but I'm gonna catch you!" Knolla gets what's she trying to do and looks through the window in concern for her dearest friend's freedom.
Beauty looks at the guard with a serious look on her face, "pokeball!" The guard throws the red and white orb towards her with great speed.
Beauty jumps to the side as she prepares a ball of her own, but in a dark energy channeling through her mouth, "Shadow Ball!" Beauty unleashes the dark energy ball attack towards the guard with fast-timing and great accuracy.
When it connects to the guard woman it made a small explosion as the wind was knocked right out of her, the guard gets serious and pulls out a different pokeball and throws it in the air. It opens and releases white material, after the materials takes shape, it reveals to be a sandshrew.
Beauty's instincts tells her that it's female as well, "sandshrew, use Poison Sting!" Sandrew inhales the air around her before opening her mouth and shooting a barrage of purple energy stingers from her mouth.
Beauty shifts to the right to avoid the attack and charges at the sandshrew, "Tackle!" She collides her back to the enemy's face, knocking her back a few feet.
"Sandshrew use Rapid Speed," the sandshrew obeys and curls into a ball to spin uncontrollably towards the eevee, she jumps above the sandshrew, however the sandshrew sees this coming and hits the ground to shift her accuracy towards the exposed eevee.
She has no time to waste and channels black energy to her mouth, "Shadow Ball," she launches the ball of dark aura towards the ground-type pokemon, but the sandshrew was too close as the explosion occurs, engulfing the both of them in a puff of black smoke.
Knolla sees the explosion engulfing the two pokemon, she wants to help, but she only knows one move and that move is too risky for this mission, "I wish I know more than just Metronome."
She looks around to see if she could find something she can use to help, but all she notices is a flat, round object on the side of the door. She goes to pick it up and reads the label on it, "'TM: Silver Wind'?" She knows what this move does: it unleashes a powdery gust of wind that sometimes boost the stats of the user, "if only I can use this move to help Beauty." As she says this, the round object begins to glow and engulfed her in light.
She looks around to find herself in a white void. She couldn't explain this feeling she's having right now, but just one word she can use, 'learning'. She can feel her wings responding to this word and glow with energy as they release the very energy into a powdery white gust of wind. She feels as though she has always known this move her entire life, like it's natural, she smiles to the thought as the white void around her starts glowing a light around her.
She finds herself back where she was before, carrying the same object in her hand... but it looks black and has no label. She tosses it aside and goes through the door.
"Give up little eevee and be my pokemon," she throws another pokeball at Beauty, making her jump to the right to avoid it, "sandshrew use Poison Sting," the sandshrew inhales once more, opens her mouth, and unleashes another barrage of purple energy stingers.
Just as it's about to hit the exhausted eevee, "Silver Wind!" A powdery white gust of wind stops the attack, and reverse it back to the sandshrew.
As the sandshrew covers her face from the sudden gust of wind and her own barrage of stingers back at her, Beauty looks to see where the sudden attack came from and sees Knolla right behind her, "am I glad to see you!" She wonders if Knolla has disobeyed a direct order from Zero, "did you use Metronome?"
Knolla just looks at her and shakes her head, "no," she looks back at the sandshrew and guard, "I learned a new move just now."
Beauty just looks at her with a confused look, "how?"
"I'll explain later, right now we need to defeat them," Knolla prepares another surge of energy to her wings, "use your Shadow Ball," she orders the eevee.
Beauty complies and she charges up another dark energy ball from the mouth, "Shadow Ball," Beauty launches the energy ball at the guard and sandshrew, "Silver Wind," Knolla flaps her wings to releash a white gust of wind energy that gathered in her wings.
The Shadow Ball's speed increases rapidly from the support from the white winds behind it, the two collided-attacks hits the sandshrew and guard altogether. This creates a big explosion as the two lose conscious from the devastating attack, Knolla could feel the fatigue getting to her as she collapse on the floor, "Beauty... make sure... nobody heard... that," she orders the eevee between breathes.
The small eevee looks down at the facility to see if anyone is reacting to the explosion, but surprisingly, everything seems normal as the houndooms are unfazed in their slumbering state.
"Heavy sleepers... they must think this is a training excercise or something," Beauty thinks to herself, "nobody heard that, Knolla."
Making the togetic smile as she grabs her emergency leppa berry from under her left wing and eats it, regaining her stamina and strength, "I need to fly over to Zero and tell him our objectives are finished." With that said, she flies off towards the another watch tower.
