Disclaimer: I do not own either the Avengers or Spiderman, or Loki OR Deadpool. Some Superfamily and tons of Science Bro's travelling around here.

Chapter 21: The Baby of the Family

"WHAT THE HELL?" Tony shouted as he stared down at the sight before him. The Hulk was staring down at the brown haired baby he was cradling in his single hand. The Spiderman suit was pooled around the sleeping baby's form.

"Shush Tony, don't wake him." Steve whacked Tony's arm before slowly approaching the Hulk and the sleeping baby Peter. "Can I see him Hulk?" He asked gently.

"Cap no hurt baby spider?" Hulk grunted, worried.

"I promise I will protect him, but if we could have Bruce back that would help Peter out a lot." Steve suggested. The Hulk considered Steve's suggestion before nodding and carefully placing the sleeping baby into the captain's arms, the blonde cradled the baby against his chest and smiled as Peter shifted closer to the new heat source. Steve tucked the suit around the baby's small form, keeping him warm. The Hulk stood up the best he could, smiled at the sleeping form of baby Peter before closing his eyes. The Avengers watched as the Hulk turned back into Bruce Banner. Clint moved forward with a pair of pants for the now naked doctor, who took them gratefully before turning to see the sleeping baby in Steve's arms.

"Well… This is new." He murmured.

"How did this even happen, he was fine one minute and the next…" Clint rubbed his forehead, noticing that Natasha didn't take her eyes off of baby Peter from the moment she saw him and froze on the spot.

"I sense Asgardian magic in this cave…" Thor frowned. "Not my brothers but someone else's… Someone familiar… Amora." Thor said the name after a moment of thought.

"Who the hell is that?" Tony asked, resisting the urge to throw his hands up into the air.

"An Asgardian enchantress. She likes to cause trouble and has a troubling uh 'crush' on me. It seems like she followed me here, or she is here for Loki…" Thor theorized.

"And she turned Peter into a baby?" Natasha stated not moving from her spot beside Clint, far from baby peter.

"It would appear so." Thor nodded his head. "However Friend Peter as a child is… Cute?" He tilted his head.

"He is a cutie." Clint poked peter's stomach and the baby giggled in his sleep squirming in Steve's grip. "And he's ticklish too!"

"Let's get back to the tower and we can figure this whole thing out later…" Tony waved his arm to show the whole situation.

"I'll get the jet, come on Tasha." Clint tugged the redhead along side him. She just followed mutely, looking at the ground.

"Okay Tasha, what's wrong? I haven't seen you this quiet in a while." Clint turned to face his partner as they boarded the Quinjet.

"He's a baby Clint! I'm… I'm not good with kids… Let alone babies." Natasha gritted out as she started up the jet.

"Give it a try Tasha, you never know. The teen version liked you just fine, I'm sure baby Peter will too." Clint said soothingly and just got a grunt in reply as the jet roared to life. He looked behind to see the others entering the jet; Steve was holding a now awake baby Peter, who was looking around with huge brown eyes in silence. His small hands were clutching the fabric of Steve's uniform and his little mouth open before he spotted Natasha and Clint and the little mouth formed into a huge smile and he gurgled happily waving his little hands towards the two SHIELD agents.

"See he likes ya already Tasha." Clint muttered to the redhead as the jet rose into the sky. She didn't even response but Clint noticed she did smile for a brief moment.

The flight back to the tower was silent, broken every so often by the babbling of the baby member of their team.

"Pepper is going to have a field day with this…" Tony mumbled as his suit was removed.

"Shall I call her and Miss Foster?" JARVIS inquired.

"Jane?" Thor jumped in, his eyes lighting up.

"Yes, Miss Potts invited her to the tower to surprise Master Thor." JARVIS reported.

"JARVIS, that is kind of the point of a surprise." Pepper laughed as she and Jane Foster entered the common room. Thor almost flew across the room and engulfed Jane in an embrace and kissed her. Steve out of reflex brought a hand up to cover Peter's eyes getting a giggle in response.

"Uh Tony… Please tell me you have an explanation for this?" Pepper stared at the baby in Steve's arms.

"Well Pep, congrats you are a mother!" Tony waved his arms out. "If Steve gives up that role." Steve rolled his eyes at the man next to him.

"You're joking me." Pepper stared Tony down.

"Nope, that is Peter Parker-Stark. Some Asgardian enchantress turned our resident teen into a baby." Tony explained.

"Can I see him Steve?" Pepper asked putting down her clipboard.

"Sure…" Steve agreed and carefully passed Peter to Pepper's arms.

"Hi Peter, it's me… Pepper." She cooed down at the baby boy in her arms. Peter grinned and put his little hand on her nose and she beamed down at him.

"He's gorgeous." She breathed out.

"Not even two minutes in and he already has Pepper wrapped around his little fingers." Tony huffed and Jane came over having heard the explanation and looked over Pepper's shoulder.

"You're right Pepper, he's beautiful." Jane grinned; she looked at Thor and blushed before looking away.

"Oh we have to get him some things, we are not equipped to handle a baby." Pepper turned and put Peter into a now stuttering Tony's arms. Peter didn't seem to mind as he snuggled closer to his adoptive father.

"I uh… I…" Tony sent Pepper a look that showed how lost he felt.

"Dada." Peter laughed happily trying to wrap his little pudgy arms around Tony's chest but it didn't work as well as he wanted it to and pouted. "Dada."

"Too cute!" Pepper and Jane giggled as they headed down the elevator to shop for their new baby.

"His first words and they were for you Tony." Bruce patted his friend's shoulder. "You will be fine."

"Yeah… I'm Dada Petey, I'm Dada." Tony nuzzled Peter's cheek, hiding his glassy eyes from the others and Peter gurgled happily.

"Maybe this Amora did us a favor…" Steve suggested to Thor.

"Perhaps." Thor agreed before lumbering to the kitchen to get some food. The others went off to get out of their uniforms and into their normal around the tower clothes.

When they came back to the living room, they found Tony sitting on the couch and Peter being bounced on his lap laughing merrily.

"JARVIS please tell me you are recording this?" Clint asked the AI.

"Of course I am Master Clint." JARVIS sounded smug and Clint just laughed.

"Okay Pete, want to show them what we practiced?" Tony asked and Peter nodded happily.

"Oh lord, already corrupting our baby." Clint rolled his eyes.

"Dada Tony! Mama Steve! Unca Clint! Unca Thor! Unca Bruce. Auntie Tasha." Peter said proudly pointing to each person in turn.

"Why am I mama?" Steve grumbled as Tony hugged Peter patting his head.

Natasha froze at hearing what Peter said and left the room without a word.

"Is she okay?" Bruce asked Clint worried.

"Yeah… She's just unsure around babies/kids." Clint sighed rubbing his neck. "But hey we are uncles!"

"Never thought I would see the day." Bruce laughed.

"Mama!" Peter clapped his hands and Steve picked Peter up, still muttering about how he was 'mama'.

"Want to be an airplane?" Steve asked.

"No he wants to be Ironman!" Tony interjected.

"Fine, fine. Want to be Ironman?" Steve amended.

"YA!" Peter cheered. Steve grinned and gently lifted Peter over his head and ran around the living room making noises like his father did for him when he was a child and from the way Peter was laughing he was enjoying it thoroughly.

"Too freaking cute." Clint muttered to Bruce as the two watched the others from the island in the kitchen.

"I'm glad JARVIS is recording this." Bruce agreed.

Natasha sighed as she sat in her room; she could handle anything, anything but Peter as a baby apparently. She was so deep in thought that she didn't notice the door to her room opening a crack. She did notice a tug on her pant leg and she looked down surprised to see Peter standing there on his own two feet, shakily but there he was. Looking up at her with a small pout and wide eyes, she tried not to melt internally but against that look she was worried she was failing.

"Auntie Tasha ok?" Peter got out after a moment of thought.

"Uh…" She looked down as Peter held his arms out to her, showing he wanted to be picked up. She sighed before carefully picking him up, settling him on her lap. He reached out and placed his hand on her nose like he had done with Pepper before.

"Auntie Tasha OK." He said more firmly this time.

"I think so Peter." Natasha agreed after a moment or two of just looking at the baby in her lap. She was rewarded with a bright smile and a hug around the neck.

"Peter… Can you understand what is going on?" She asked after a moment of thought and tried not to laugh as his little face scrunched up as he mulled over the question.

"Avengers… Spiderman… Gwen… Wade… SHIELD. Magic?" Peter questioned tilting his head to the side.

"Impressive… Oh right, Gwen… Someone better tell her and Wade…" Natasha trailed off.

"Gwen!" Peter clapped his hands happily.

"Oh boy." Natasha smiled; it only got wider as Peter yawned cutely. "Get some sleep Peter, it's been a long few hours."

Peter nodded his little head and snuggled up against her chest and almost right away dropped off to sleep. She stroked his hair absentmindedly before she moved back towards the headboard that was adorned with pillows and made her self-comfortable. The soothing sounds of Peter fast asleep lulled her into a sense of comfort and safety, before long she drifted off.

Clint entered Natasha's room to see her holding the baby spider close to her chest protectively as they both slept peacefully curled up together. He smiled brightly before shutting the door softly and heading back towards the living room where the others were still looking for Peter, they had taken their eyes off the baby spider for one minute and then he was gone, like a baby ninja or something.

"Both spiders are safe and fast asleep." Clint reported to the room.

"She got over her baby phobia then? That was fast." Bruce commented impressed.

"He must have turned those eyes onto her, no one can resist those eyes. It's even worse now that he is a baby." Tony grumbled as he fell backwards onto the couch. "It's only been 40 minutes and I'm already exhausted!"

"Now you know why new mother's always look so tried." Pepper commented as she and Jane exited the elevator, carrying many bags.

"Do we really need all this?" Clint asked peeking into one of the bags.

"Yes, taking care of a baby is a lot of work. Speaking of a lot of work, being the CEO of Stark Industry is calling." Pepper pulled out her phone and headed back towards the elevators.

"Come on Thor, let's go out for lunch." Jane interlaced their fingers and pulled him onto the elevator as well.

"Good luck!" The girls called back.

"Farwell my friends!" Thor beamed at them as the doors slid shut.

"We're screwed." Tony commented.

"Completely." Clint agreed while Bruce and Steve nodded.
