Chapter 21: Godzilla, King of the Kaijin-Part 2
As Godzilla standed before the enormous arachnid, Kumonga, Goku dug out of the sand gasping for air. His arm was wounded and oozed blood from the assault that Starscream brought upon him and the others. Blood and sand fell from his beaten up body. He rubbed sand from his eyes and saw the first sight of the human Godzilla and the Decepticon controlled Kumonga. "What's Godzilla doing here? He must have sensed Starscream's energy and ade his way to help. Well, I am impressed by Starscream's power. I wish I could fight him a little more if it weren't for my bleeding arm." Godzilla lifted his left foot back and jumped in the air. Kumonga sprayed a stream of webbing from his mouth towards Godzilla, but he dodged the stream. Suddenly, the stream bursts into a net and pinned Godzilla to the ground. Kumonga fired multiple poison barbs to paralyze the Kaijin. However, Godzilla emitted a heat wave from his body, burning the web net and the poison barbs. He gave an imtimidating war cry and began to punch and kick Kumonga repeatedly. Kumonga grabbed Godzilla with his large claws and threw him in the air. He jumped and spider kicked Godzilla into the destroyed Energon mines. Goku watched the battle while trying to stay afoot, enduring the pain from his bleeding arm. "I don't know why Godzilla is still considered a bad guy. He's doing pretty good. Maybe he had him all wrong." Godzilla lifted himself from the boulders and burned Energon shards. "Dammit! If these Decepticons continue to harm my kind, then I'll just have to send them to Hell!" He increased his power to full heights and his hair began to hum a pulsing neon blue. Kumonga climbed down the mines and charged towards Godzilla for an attack. Godzilla's eyes glowed from orange to red, his energy converted to the palm of his hands and formed neon blue fire balls, nd threw them at Kumonga. "DYNAMIC FIRE ORBS!" The fire pushed Kumonga in the air and burned in an intense flame, damaging the arachnid. Then Kumonga pushed back with a barrage of poison barbs. The barbs crashed around and into the mines forming a ginormous cloud of dust and sand. Some barbs damaged Godzilla, making him mad.
Goku can't see in the cloud, knowing if Godzilla is alive or badly hurt. "His energy is weak, but I can't make out what happened to him." Godzilla was buried in the rubble of the mines and struggled to get free. His energy began to spike again, and his body began to change. The skin on his arms and legs grew into thick, black scales, his fingers and toes grew into claws, his black hair doubled in length and glow from neon blue to a raging fire, his eyes glew a more fiery red, the small fangs in his teeth grew longer, and he grew his tail. Goku was astonished from the energy Godzilla's emitting. "What power! He's completely changed!" He blasted out of the rubble and regained his Kaiju roar, meaning that Kumonga is in a world of hurt! The arachnid crashed to the ground and unleashed a chattering screech, preparing for Round 2. Godzilla flew out of the mines and shot towards Kumonga, unleashing a deadly blow upon Kumonga's face, pushing him to the ground. But Kumonga bounced back with 8 spider kicks, and the two forces battled it out. "He's just as powerful as Broly! I got to get everyone out of here!" Goku said, and hovered towards the unconsious bodies of Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Jazz, and Trunks. Back at Capsule Corp, Teletraan 1 monitered the energies of Godzilla and Kumonga. Ratchet was incredibly wowed by the energy levels of the titans. "These energy readings are off the charts! It seams the virus Godzilla caught is proving beneficial to his internal systems!" Bulma read most of the data and examined the locations of Goku and the rest. "They're still alive! We can go there and rescue them!" "Are you not aware that the Sahara Desert is above 130 degrees F.?!" "Are you not aware that my son is out there injured?!" "Unless I can get these transporters to work just as the same one Godzilla took, we have no means of even making it all the way to the desert!" In the rec room, Pan sat on the couch waiting for Goku and everyone else to return, until she sensed the energies of Godzilla and Kumonga. "He's more powerful than he was before. I just hope Grandpa comes back."
As the battle between Godzilla and Kumonga continues, Goku pulled Trunks out of the sand. "Trunks! Wake up! Don't you die on me!" Trunks was still breathing, but his energy is low. "Okay. He's okay. Just hang on buddy." He moved on to pull Optimus, Bumblebee, Jazz, and Cliffjumper out of the sand as well. Kumonga was taking a beating out of Godzilla and tried to dodge his attacks, but Godzilla's punches and kicks are too fast. Godzilla's rage and power grew higher, that he lost almost all his judgement. Goku got everyone out of the sand, but he needs to leave before Godzilla's rage costs everyone's lives. "Godzilla's getting out of control! The Kaiju half inside him has taken complete control! Let's just hope I can still do Instant Transmission in this condition." On the Nemesis, Megatron became infuriated by Godzilla's might, and the near defeat of Kumonga. "Raaaargh! That gruesome arachnid is not even trying! His power level is lower than that creature! Starscream! If you hadn't underestimated the Autobots and the Z-Fighters, our plans would have been successful!" Starscream was enthralled by Megatron's words. "My apoligies, my liege. The next time they interfere with our plans, I'll make sure not to lower my guard!" Megatron slammed Starscream to the floor with a swing of his arm. "SILENCE! There will never be a next time!" Goku got everyone together and ready to use Instant Transmission. "Okay, everyone is here. Now to get out of here." He laid his hand on the five unconsious warriors, and teleported back to Capsule Corp. for examination and treatment. Pan felt Goku's energy. "They're back!" Ratcet brought nis medical kit outside. "Goku! What happened?!" "Starscream happened. He somehow became a human, but he was stronger." "It must have been the same virus Godzilla caught from the unstable fusion core. Hurry! Get everyone in the medical room!" Optimus, Jazz, Cliffjumper, Bumblebee, and Trunks were placed on different med beds. Their wounds were treated, but it took time for them to heal. "Where is Godzilla? Is he still in the desert? There's a strong energy signal that's spreading rapidly." "He's still there. But he changed. He was a completely different being-an energy I never felt since Omega Shenron."
Teletraan 1 detected the same energy patterns Ratchet metioned. "You are right about Godzilla, Goku. However the virus' effects that infectected Starscream did not last because he is not an organic lifeform. Godzilla, on the other hand, is a Kaiju. The virus has little effect on mechanical beings, no other effects on other organic lifeforms, but are incredibly infectious to beings containing Z-type blood." Goku Did not understand what the type of blood was. "Z-type? Do all organisms have this kind of content in them?" "The only organisms that have this type of blood are Kaiju. The virus that was released from the generator's power core undertook a chemical reaction with the Z blood, altering the Kaiju's DNA. The Kaiju's appearance changes to a much smaller form, based on this planet's most dominant species." "Humans. I guess the virus spent so much time with humans, it must have been generous enough to make itself like a human." "Fortunately, mechanical beings, like Cybertronians, have only 5% of Z-type blood. So the virus' effects last for at least a day or two. For Kaiju, the virus remains and the effects are permanent." "Are you saying that Godzilla is stuck in human form?!" "It gets worse. The virus may be beneficial to Godzilla's energy and strength, but when his rage is built with too much pressure, his physical appearance changes to a more monstrous form, and his power level will be somewhat unlimited." "So, even when he's dangerous in his original form, he's alot more destructive as a human." "In his 'rage mode', the virus becomes active and almost impossible to overcome. For every damage Godzilla gives to his opponent, the virus will built up inside him, and eventually his body'll release the virus at an explosive rate, and it'll spread across the Earth. Hell! Maybe the entire galaxy! Every Kaiju that are living in the Milky Way will be turned to human-like Kaiju." "I think you mean the term 'Kaijin', Ratchet." "Goku, you have to return to the Sahara and stop Godzilla." Goku stood motionless, thinking. "Well, I do need to save the galaxy. But I wouldn't miss a chance to fight something as powerful as Omega. It'll be like fighting a supernova." "Goku! Kaijin will walk across the galaxy if we do not stop the virus from spreading! There's no time for games!" Goku streched his arms and pulsed his Ki across his body. "Okay. I'll go back and stop him." He pinpointed Godzilla's location and used Instant Transmission.
