Ch. 21: The Explanation of Tardiness

Back at Lygia and Marcus' nest Lygia was getting not only impatient, but worried as well. "Where could he be?" thought Lygia. About two minutes later her question
was answered by the flapping of wings and the sight of her mate flying towards her with two mangos. "Hey meu amore." said Marcus as he landed in the hollow and
dropped the mangos at his mate's talons. "Sorry for being so late." "You should be!" exclaimed Lygia. "I was getting worried!" Marcus looked down sadly. Then Lygia
brought his head back up. "However, I would like to hear why you were late." "Well I was crying after trying to figure out how to deal with our current situation."
explained Marcus. "What current situation might that be?" asked Lygia folding her wings. "Well your Dad was getting food for your Mom, and came over to ask me
what was wrong." replied Marcus. "And...what did you tell him?" asked Lygia. "Before I go any further with this I need you to promise me that you won't get mad or
react negatively in any way until I finish." said Marcus. Lygia pondered over her mate's condition briefly, but knew she wanted to hear the rest of his explanation.
"Alright." she said in consent. "Only because I know that you'd never do or say anything to purposely hurt me." "Of course not, meu amore." replied her mate. "So
please continue." requested Lygia. "I told your Dad it was your mood swings from your pregnancy which I know you can't help." began Marcus. Lygia opened her beak
to react, but then remembered the promise she made to her mate, and closed it. "The best advice he gave me was from my Grandfather Blu's friend, Rafeal." "What
advice was that?" inquired Lygia. "Happy wife, happy life." answered Marcus. Lygia smiled at her mate. "You've made me a happy wife just by saying that." she
began. Marcus smiled back at her, and she continued. "So because of that I forgive you." At the last minute she recalled something else that she needed to tell her
mate. "Also Marcus, thank you for the mango." she said. "No problem, meu amore." he replied and gave her a peck on the cheek. Then he said another thing that
every female loves to hear. "I will always be here for you." he said. She shared a beak to beak kiss with him. "Thank you meu amore." said Lygia. "You're the best
mate any female could ask for or in my case have." "As are you." replied Marcus. The two lovebirds shared one more beak to beak kiss and then started in on their
mangos together.
Sooo Sorry once again (especially to all my loyal readers/followers) for not updating for almost four months!
Also sorry for this being such a short chapter.
I've still been having writer's block, but slowly overcoming it.
About 1-2 more chapters then I'll try to do more fanfiction, but I'm not sure if it'll still be on Rio.
