Yo! Sup everyone, hope you all had a nice day and all... so! I'M SORRY THAT THIS STORY ISN'T OVER YET AND THAT IT'S TAKING FOREVER FOR ME TO FINISH IT, AUGH. IT'S BEEN SO LONG, ALMOST A FULL YEAR IF WE GET TO DECEMBER, SO I WILL TRY MY BEST TO UPDATE THIS AS MUCH AS I CAN. WHICH IS PROBABLY NOT LIKELY BECAUSE OF FRICKIN' SCHOOL AND EVERYTHING ELSE GOING ON, AND I'M GONNA SAY SORRY A LOT IN MY CHAPTERS BECAUSE IT'S GONNA TAKE SO LONG TO FINISH IN TIME! UGHHH DX.

Anyways, this is the 21st chapter... and... yeah... um, it's all battling in this chapter, just like the next three will be. I'm going to switch between P.O.V's just so that you can kind of imagine what the battle is like for all of the characters (besides the antagonist for whatever reason why...). So, hope you enjoy it like always and here is Chapter 21!

IT'S SHOW TIME! (literally)

Chapter XXI: It's Show Time!

Gold's P.O.V:

I walked over to the door with the hat, knowing that this was Becky's door.

"Ready to beat up some show girl's ass?" Emerald asked me. I looked at him, grinning.

"Hell yeah!" I exclaimed. Crystal sighed next to me, but smiled.

"Alright then, let's go," she said. Emerald and I nodded as I stepped in front of the door. Alto told us that there was a special word for every door to open them. And luckily, she found out what all of them were, thanks to Silver's help on eavesdropping their conversation.

"Runaway," I said. The door glowed purple, opening slowly. It was a very spacious, stone walled room with mirrors everywhere you look.

"Oh~ It seems there are intruders in my lair..." said a teasing female voice. We all looked up, seeing Becky standing on a small balcony that was attached to one of the tall stone pillars. I held my ax tightly as she jumped down from the balcony.

"Well, it looks like I do have to fight after all... bummer," Becky said, snapping her fingers. Her special black hat appeared in her hand. "It's a good thing this battle won't take so long!" Becky pulled out something from her hat and threw it at the ground, creating a ton of smoke to cover the area. I saw Crystal's eyes widen, covering her mouth and mine with her hands. I looked to my left, seeing Emerald closing his eyes tightly while covering his mouth as well. I looked over at Crystal again, who was closing her eyes.

"Poisonous smoke bombs... if you inhale even the smallest amount of the gas, you're a goner for sure," Crystal's voice rang in my head. My eyes widened; since when could she use telepathy?

"Don't ask how I can do this, I'll explain later. Just listen do my voice and hold onto your breath, got it?" she said. I could only nod my head in reply. And I'm guessing Emerald got the message as well, since he also nodded his head as he was starting to open his eyes.

"The problem is, where could she be?" Emerald's voice said this time. We all looked around, wondering where Becky could have run off to. Suddenly, I was pushed to the ground by a force coming from my back. Because of this, Crystal's hand was released from my mouth, almost causing the poison to have an entrance to my body. Once I fell to the floor, I closed it right away, not wanting to catch any of the gas.

"Ha! You're pathetic! And people say I'm the weak one, huh? I'll make sure they pay for that once they see what I can do to a professional knight of Kanto!" Becky's voice called, but she was still no where to be seen. But how did she know I was a knight for the Kanto residence...

"She must have done research on us while she was traveling with us," Crystal told me. "I mean, you do still have your royal seal on you." I looked at my armor plate attached around my arm, and surely enough, the symbol for the Kanto Knight Guild was right there, meaning that anyone who saw this would know that I was one of Kanto's knights. We then heard Becky's evil laugh echoing through the room.

"Why aren't you guys talking? It's boring when no one talks," Becky said, giggling. We heard chains moving and saw flashes of red around. "Well, I guess it's time for the real show to begin!" The ground began to shake violently, causing us to lose our balance and fall.

"What's going on?!" Emerald complained. So apparently he can do the same thing as Crystal. Once the shaking stopped, the fog cleared up and there were now three, large statues in front of us, staring us down. And with the poison gas now gone, we finally got the chance to breathe again. As we were catching our breath, we heard Becky laugh loudly.

"Aren't you all so glad you can finally get a breath of fresh, used to be polluted air? Well, you're going to need it for my next act! I present to you, my Laser Lion Shooter Statues! Also known as my Killer Turret Trio," Becky said. She snapped her fingers, causing the statues' eye to glow red. It was so bright, if we got any closer, it could've literally blinded us.

"Enjoy the show!" she said, disappearing from our sights. I looked at the lion statues as their red glare was in my direction. It charged up the laser and shot it towards me, but I luckily dodged it just in time.

"How do you think we can defeat these things?!" I asked, looking over at both Emerald and Crystal. Crystal then pointed at one of the statues.

"Look at their chests," she said. I looked at it, seeing a metal plate. "The source of their lasers must be behind those plates. If we destroy that, then their rampage can stop." Crystal said. Just as she was paying attention to that, two turrets turned to her, aiming their lasers straight for her head. I ran over to her as fast as I could.

"Crystal, look out!" I called to her. She turned to me, confused.

"For wha-!" I then grabbed her and pulled her closer to me as the lasers hit my arm and back, causing me to scream in pain. We both then tumbled to the floor, still holding onto each other tightly. I closed my eyes as my arm and back started to bleed slowly. Crystal's eyes widened when she saw my wounds.

"Gold! Are you alright?" Crystal asked, helping me up. I nodded, but then winced as I felt a sharp spark of pain rush through my arm. I grunted, falling on my knees. I lightly touched my back wound, feeling the pain spark through me again. If that laser hit me for a longer time, I think it would've went straight through my heart, since the wound itself was pretty deep. Emerald, who was shielding himself from the lasers, noticed me and rushed over as fast as he could.

"Emerald, do you think you can do something to heal the wounds?" Crystal asked. Before he could answer, he turned around and shielded us from another laser beam. He turned back to us, still holding up the barrier.

"Well I could have done it before. Now, I can't do two things at the same time or else it's gonna be me who needs healing." Emerald said, grunting as another laser hit the protective barrier. Crystal looked at me, worried. I shook my head.

"Crystal, I'm going to be okay, please don't worry about it." I told her. Crystal looked down, pounding her fist against the floor.

"Damn it all..." she mumbled to herself, standing up and looking at the statues.

"What are you doing?!" I asked her. She just shook her head as she sprinted towards one of the statues, jumping up to literally meet the eyes of one of the statues that shot me. She punched it's snout, causing it to break off into pieces. When she was falling back down, she backflipped in the air and kicked the metal plate off of the statue with one foot and spun around to kick the red gemstone in the middle of the statue with her other foot. Once she safely reached the floor, the statue's eyes stopped glowing and exploded, causing it's stone rubble to fly everywhere. She turned sharply towards Emerald and me as we were just staring at her in shock at this point.

"Emerald, I have a plan. Keep protecting Gold and I'll tell you when to fire, got it?" Crystal commanded Emerald. Emerald nodded his head, holding up the barrier still. Crystal then jumped onto the walls, starting to wall run. She then jumped right in front of one of the statue's metal plate. While she was pulling back her fist, it glowed white, and then she punched the metal plate straight off and sent it flying. It ended up right next to me, and once I took a closer look at it, it had a huge dent in it that was slightly smoking. Crystal backflipped in the air to get away from the statue, and once she made to the ground, she turned around to Emerald.

"Now!" she said. Emerald nodded, swiping away the barrier and making a hand gun towards the red core. The smoke from the dented metal plate traveled towards his fingers, and once the smoke balled up together, it formed a small ball of fire. He then closed one eye to get focus and shot the fire ball as if it was an actual gun. It hit the core square in the middle, causing it to break and the statue to explode like the last one. Crystal walked over to Emerald, giving him a quick high five before turning her attention towards the last statue.

"Ohoho~ it seems you passed through two of my rocky beasts. Only one more to beat... but, let's play a little game of chance, huh?" Becky's teasing voice echoed. And even though I looked everywhere there was to look, even behind me this time, she was no where to be found. All of the sudden, Emerald started coughing, as if he was being strangled.

"Emerald!" Crystal called. Her eyes widened when Emerald scratched at his neck. She looked at me.

"He's being choked by an invisible force! Hurry up and help him!" I nodded, standing up. I felt the pain shock through my body once again, but I only flinched at it this time. I picked up my ax and started charging towards Emerald. Emerald was picked up from the ground, moving to the side. I felt like I hit something with my ax, so I turned around worriedly to check if I hit Emerald or not. Luckily, I didn't, but the invisible force began to shatter and reveal who it was. It was Becky, holding onto her arm that had started to bleed.

"Heh, you're not as bad as I thought when injured..." she said. With a snap of her fingers, the wound was gone from her arm, and she continued to choke Emerald.

"Let's make a deal... either you kill this boy... or..." Becky snapped her fingers again, but I didn't see anything happen.

"Ahh!" Crystal cried. I turned around to see her, but I didn't want to see her like that. A knight, of which I assumed was not a human knight for he was missing hands and legs, has grabbed Crystal from behind and aimed a blade at her neck.

"Kill the girl. The choice is yours, Gold." Becky said, smirking evilly. Emerald squirmed in Becky's grip.

"F-Forget about me... s-save Crystal... a-and k-kill me..." Emerald croaked, his voice barely coming out. Crystal shook her head, tears forming in her eyes.

"No! Emerald hasn't done anything wrong! Take away my life instead, Gold! Emerald doesn't deserve to die!" Crystal exclaimed. Emerald glared at her.

"Y-You don't deserve to die as much as I do! At least your life is more precious than mine!" Emerald shouted back to her. Crystal didn't reply with anything, she just started to cry. I just stood there, completely in shock. My body couldn't move, and my words disappeared.

"Either I kill Emerald... or I kill Crystal..." I thought in my head. I was about to go insane and start panicking, but then, I realized something. I dropped my ax, causing Emerald and Crystal to look at me in surprise. I walked over to Crystal and stole the knight's sword from his hand. The knight then nodded, it's armor dropping to the ground, revealing nothing but thin air. I looked sadly at Crystal as her eyes widened. I gripped the sword tighter as I looked at the floor; that look on her face just made me want to hug her tightly and safely in my arms.

"Forgive me..."

Crystal's P.O.V:

I can't believe it... here I am... standing in front of my own teammate... who has decided to kill me. I mean, I understand, Emerald has more in store for his life, and besides, if we do save Yellow and Platinum, I don't think Yellow would want to hear about her cousin dying along the way. Gold looked up at me, sadness in his eyes. I couldn't stand the way he looked. And he couldn't either, since he looked at the floor afterwards.

"Forgive me..." he said. My eyes widened, causing them to fill up with tears.

"At least I'll die for a good cause..." I thought, closing my eyes and accepting my fate.

"Emerald, NOW!" I opened my eyes, only to see that Gold was on the other side. Stabbing both Becky and Emerald. My hand flew to my mouth, what was Gold thinking?! Becky, who was in complete shock, started to cough up blood as she let go of Emerald and fell to the floor.

Or at least, who we thought was Emerald. Once she dropped him, Emerald's body vanished as soon as it hit the ground. The smoke from it then swirled into a spiral, forming a familiar person.

"Emerald?!" I exclaimed, running over to him and hugging him tight. "You have no idea how scared I got!" I said. Emerald laughed.

"Sorry Crys. Had to do it so that Gold's plan would work." Emerald replied. My eyes widened, turning around and looking back at Gold, who was staring down at Becky. Becky coughed more, holding onto her wound with her hand. She smirked.

"S-Smart kid..." she said, healing her wound and standing up. "But I think you forgot something important," Becky said. I saw Gold look at her in confusion, but I saw it right away: the last turret.

"Gold!" Both Emerald and I shouted towards him. Gold looked at us curiously, wondering what was going on. The statue's eyes turned red, shooting two lasers straight towards Gold's chest; it was going to hit his heart and kill him.

"Oh no you don't!" a voice rang throughout the room. We all looked up, seeing a familiar face falling our from the ceiling and landing safely on the floor. She pulled out her swords, spinning them rapidly to deflect the lasers from hitting Gold. The beams reflected off the swords, hitting the turret and burning through the metal plate on it's chest, successfully hitting the red core and deactivating it. And just like the other two statues, it exploded into rubble.

"Booyah! That's how it's done!" Alto, our backup, said, pounding her fist in the air. Gold smiled.

"Thanks for saving my ass there, Alto," he said. Alto grinned back at Gold, but her face turned serious when she turned to look over at Becky, who was glaring back at her.

"So, we meet again, pirate girl," Becky growled through her teeth. "I didn't want to see your ugly face again with that stupid outfit of yours." Alto laughed.

"Yes dear, I didn't either. But, if I had you tacky clothes and even uglier face, I would be the ugliest monster in town!" Alto teased as Becky's face turned red with anger and embarrassment.

"Why you little-!" Becky stopped talking once Alto held up something that made Becky's eyes widen. It was a polished, maroon colored box with golden borders around the lid. "I-Is that..." Becky started to say, but hung her mouth open, unable to say anything. Alto nodded her head.

"Yeah, these are your father's ashes. Don't ask how I found them, though. I have my ways," Alto said. "Now, you do want them don't you? I mean, why would you say no, these are your father's ashes after all. It's precious to you," Alto then pulled out a match, lighting it with the tip of her gloves. "Now, if you don't give up right here and right now, these ashes can finally take there toll to the world of burning flames," Alto threatened, putting the lit match closer and closer towards the box. Becky's eyes widened.

"No! Stop it! Don't you dare torture me!" Becky cried, literally looking like she was going to cry. I thought popped into my mind as I looked over to Emerald. Emerald then caught my look on him as he groaned.

"Why am I always the one who is needed to succeed a plan...?" he muttered as I quietly told him the plan. He nodded, and locked him eyes on Becky, waiting for the right time when she's most vulnerable. And that chance was going to be soon.

"Oh? And what would it do? Perhaps... you don't need it..." Alto said, bringing the match even closer to the box. Becky harshly shook her head, unable to speak because of her loud sobbing.

"I-I will kill you if you burn it!" Becky shouted at Alto, teleporting quickly to her and grabbing her neck, beginning to choke Alto while violently shaking her body back and forth. I turned to Emerald.

"Do it now!" I told him. He nodded, snapping his fingers. Becky's eyes widened, tears still streaming down her face as she let go of Alto, dropping her to the floor. Alto began to cough, causing Gold to rush by her side, but at least she was still okay.

"No... no... no..." Becky kept repeating over and over, collapsing to her knees and grabbing her head in pain.

"What did you do to her?" I asked Emerald. Emerald shrugged his shoulders.

"I'm guessing I either gave her an illusion of her father, or the same illusion Gold had before when we were still traveling," Emerald replied. "But I honestly don't know." I looked over at Becky worried that she might hurt herself. I mean, I know she's the enemy, but she is still a person.

"Emerald, stop the illusion," I told him. Emerald's eyes widened in surprise, and I could see Gold and Alto's do the same.

"Why would I?! She's the bad guy in this situation, Crystal!" Emerald retorted, but I held up a hand.

"I know that, you idiot. But she is a human like us, right? She deserves another chance. Besides, she's in grief right now over her father's death. Don't you feel a little bad for her?" I asked him. Emerald look down, not responding to my question. After a few seconds, Emerald sighed, snapping his fingers again. Becky let go of her head, grunting as she fell on the ground, unconscious. Alto, being a little bit curious, walked over the Becky and checked her pulse.

"She's still breathing," Alto informed us, walking over to Emerald and me with Gold following behind.

"So... do we just leave her there or what?" Gold asked, glancing over at Becky. Emerald shrugged.

"We got no other choice. I mean, we can finish her off right now, but I don't think we should. After all, just like Crystal said, she doesn't really mean any harm." Emerald said. I smiled, messing with his hair.

"I knew you would understand, Emerald," I told him. Alto nodded, placing her hands on her hips.

"Alright then, we should get going. Treble and Bass are outside to help you guys heal." Alto said, proceeding to leave from the exit. Suddenly, the doors shut, closing tightly as it locked itself.

"You got be kidding me..." Alto complained, trying her best to open it. She even used her bombs and swords, but to no avail. We then heard a evil laughter from behind us, making us tense up.

"You all think you're so clever... aha... haha... AHAHAHA!" Becky said, laughing loudly as she stood up. She looked at me, walking towards my direction.

"I am going to kill all of you... right here and right now... no matter what..." Becky muttered, loud and clear enough for us to hear. Gold grabbed his ax and stood in front of Becky, trying to stop her.

"Don't you dare go any closer to her." Gold said. Becky just smiled, pulling out something and jabbing it into Gold's stomach. When she pulled it out, it was revealed to be a now bloody dagger as Gold fell to the floor.

"Gold!" I cried, running towards him. He started to cough up blood, looking at me and shaking his head.

"C-Crystal... please d-don't..." he said weakly, forcing me to stop in my tracks. I began crying once again as I started to walk towards him again.

"I don't want you to die..." I said, sitting on my knees next to his body. I grabbed his ax and pointed it towards Becky's neck. This thing was a lot heavier than I thought, but I managed to get used to it. Becky didn't say anything, until she started to giggle. Those evil giggles turned into laughter as she slapped me in the face. I fell, hitting the ground hard. She then proceeded to kick me in the gut and punch me more, causing me to cough blood this time. I glanced over at Gold, who's golden eyes were widened in shock and anger.

"Die! Die all of you!" Becky screamed, picking up her dagger and lifting it up. Before it could hit me, though, a figure stood in front of me with a bright light, knocking back Becky from reaching me. I automatically noticed who my protector was, and it was none other than Emerald.

"That girl has seriously turned insane..." Emerald muttered. I crawled over to Gold wearily, holding onto his hand tightly with my shaking hand.

"Gold... are you still awake?" I asked, worried that I was probably too late. Luckily, he nodded his head, washing away most of my nervousness.

"Guys, we need to get out of here, now. Alto found an exit." Emerald said. "I'll get Gold. Can you walk by yourself, Crystal?" I nodded, getting up.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Are you sure you can carry Gold all by yourself, though?" I asked Emerald. He shrugged.

"I don't know. But I know you can't based off your state," Emerald said.

"I'll take him, Alto said, walking over to us and easily carrying Gold's body over her shoulder like he was a dead body. "Let's go," she said, running towards the exit she found. Emerald and I looked at each other, nodding and running closely behind Alto.

"You won't be able to escape! You'll all die here with me whether you like it or not!" Becky exclaimed madly, clapping her hands together. The ground began to shake violently, causing us to stop moving. The pillars in the room started to wobble and crumble onto the floor, missing us by two feet. Alto looked at both me and Emerald.

"We have to go. Hurry up!" Alto called, running towards the exit. We followed once again, a bit faster this time. Once Alto found er exit, she threw out Gold first, holding out her hand towards us.

"Come on!" she said. Emerald and I picked up the pace, hearing Becky's evil laughter resounding throughout the room. I grabbed Alto's hand as she quickly got me outside and started to do the same with Emerald. I never thought that falling onto grass face first would feel so relieving. I saw Alto's shadow above me, dragging me towards a safer spot away from the tower. I looked up and turned around, seeing Becky's room apart of the tower falling apart and crumbling to the floor, burying Becky herself inside. I turned back around and looked at Gold, who was turning a little bit more paler than last time.

"Gold!" I cried to him, getting nervous. I saw Treble and Bass finally come over, noticing Gold's body immediately as they rushed over to his side. Treble chanted and hummed some things as she moved her glowing hands back and forth Gold's wounds. Bass, on the other hand, bandaged up Emerald and my wounds with a special ointment and creams. Once he was done, he walked over to spectate Treble's work. I kept glancing over at Gold even thought Alto and Bass told me to rest. I felt really worried, but I didn't think I should because I know that Treble is going to take good care of him. Plus, he started to look more healthier by the minute thanks to her. A few minutes later, Gold started to mumble in his sleep. I quietly went over to him to check if he was doing okay.

I have to admit it, Gold actually looked a lot cuter in his sleep. I smiled, pushing some of his bangs away from his face. Everyone else was tired and falling asleep, so I didn't have to worry about doing this. I sighed, placing my lips against his forehead.

"Thank you for saving me," I whispered in his ear. Right when I was about to get up and leave, though, I felt someone grab my hand. I turned around to see what was going on until I felt something warm pressing against my lips. My eyes widened in shock when I noticed it was Gold. When he pulled away from the kiss, he grinned at me.

"You know I would do anything for you," Gold said. I felt tears well in my eyes as I pecked him on the cheek.

"Oh you..." I muttered. He just chuckled and laid back down to rest. My fingers started playing with his hair when I remembered what I had to do. I pulled out the signalling device that Red gave us and put it in my ear. It was really small, so I got scared that it would fall in my ear. That didn't happen, thankfully, as I placed it in my ear. It was a prefect fit.

"Locate Green," I said, thinking that he would be available. A beep went off as it dialed, vibrating lightly in my ear. When the vibrating stopped, I heard someone else instead of Green. It was Blue.

"Hello? Hello?! Hey, is this thing working or not?" Blue's voice rang.

"I-It's me, Blue! Crystal!" I said, trying my best not to wake everyone else up. Blue sighed in relief when she heard me talking.

"Oh thank goodness it's you! Listen, I don't have time to talk right now, but you need to inform the others about this!" Blue said. I nodded.

"Alright. What's going on over there?" I asked her.

"Eldra is trying to freeze us to death, that's what's happening! If she wants to do that, the others might get into the same trouble, just minus the ice," Blue said. My eyes widened.

"Becky tried to do the same thing to us! By trapping us inside with the tower and herself!" I told her. I heard Blue gasp.

"Becky committed suicide?!" she exclaimed. Right after she said that though, she let out a groan. "Crap..." After that, the other line sounded like static as it turned off.

"Hello? Hello?! Blue! Are you still there?! Blue!" I yelled into the device, but her voice was gone and there was nothing happening. I looked over at Eldra's tower, where Blue and her group was.

"I just hope they are okay..." I muttered to myself, closing my eyes and hoping my prediction was right.

WHY DID THIS TAKE LONGER THAN I EXPECTED GODDAMNIT ALL. Anyways, hope you guys enjoyed that, I wonder what happened to Blue and the others! And why are they trapping our heros to die?

...Actually, nevermind, trapping them until they die does seem like a villianous plan to me...

Um, so, like I ranted at the top earlier, I will be delaying this story a LOT, so I will apologizing and complaining about school and all of that shit. So... hope you guys forgive me? I am complaining to myself that this is going to take a year for me to finish, hopefully that's not the case, but I will probably give you guys another chapter this month. I don't know when, but that's for both you and me to find out. Alright then, see ya!
