Chapter 18

12 hours part 1

(Sherlock POV)

Waking up in the middle of the night, I glanced over at Molly. She laid beside me, not a care in the world. She was not a pretty sleeper. No, the woman I fancy was sprawled out, her body spread like a murdered victim. She drooled and snored like a chainsaw. The best of it would be, when she would put me in a wrestling move.

Fancy? Yes definitely fancy. I could no longer deny or water it down to just a physical attraction. The proof would be also, when I turned down her proposal of just sex and no dating. I wanted more with her.

Last night I broke my resolve not to have sex with her until we went out a date. Okay, so I did cheat a little last night, but we both needed that. The attraction was definitely there.

By the time I woke up the sun was fully illuminating the room. A shadow hovering over me protected my eyes.

"Morning, " I greeted with a half smile to see her straddling me. "Morning,"she winked. Molly moved her hips up a little getting more comfortable and sending my dick to alert mode.

"So are you in a grumpy mood? That can easily be fixed with a little lazy morning sex, " she suggested wiggling her hip, sending my cock into a frenzy.

"I was serious, and it wasn't because I was grumpy. I want to do this proper, date then we'll see about sex, " I demanded.

Her face faltered and much to my disappoint, her movements stopped too. "No," she answered moving off of me.

"Why?" I asked because I wanted to know. I've finally came to terms on what I wanted.

For right now, to be with her. I wasn't quite sure how strongly I felt about her. This was my first time with these emotions, I just felt the need to spend time with her. It was just dating,to see where this went.

For a few moments nothing. Molly just put her head down burying it into her knees, she brought to her chest. "Let's just forget it, " she suggested.

Wait hang on, damn it. Why was this happening? I thought we were making progress. This was fucking with my head. Molly clearly expressed she wanted me, but then she didn't want me in that way. I could honestly say I felt like one-night stand. Someone, whom you just slept with but you hoped would never have to see again.

"Let's get dressed. I have business to attend to. I'll need you to dress formal," I lied. I know it was wrong to trick her, but I needed at least a chance.

She raised her eyebrow. Probably suprised on me giving up so quickly. "I have nothing formal," she answered bringing it to my attention.

"I had my designer team already create some clothes. Seeing how our hands are attached I'll have them make a few more outfits to accommodate to this situation, " I explained.

Within an hour some tailors, seamstress, and fashion designer had shown up at my house. The team had taken both our measurements, then proceeded to go to work. Molly seemed entranced by the whole process, her eyes darting around to see everything.

After sometime, when they started to finish up the outfits, Molly faced scunched up.

"These is not for work is it?" She observed. Her mind seemed to think things through. Quickly her hand came around jabbing me in my side.

"Ouch," I hissed.

"This is dating attire," she accused. Her eyes shifted away like she was disgusted. I already told you sex is fine but not dating.

I threw my hands up in anger. "You're impossible. Yes, if you must know it's dating attire. I'm sorry but apparently I have to trick you. For some strange reason I can fuck you and leave, but I mention dating, and you look at me like I'm Hitler.

"You're wrong I don't think of you that way. I don't want to fuck Hitler," She responded with her eyebrows scrutched up teasing me.

This was clearly getting nowhere I needed a straight answer from her. Was she trying to deny this chemistry we had? Maybe I was being crazy and only I felt this way. I needed her to not only reject me, if that's what she wanted, but to give me a reason why.

Liking someone was such a headache, but one I didn't want to go away. I felt that anguish, when I tried to pretend these feelings for her didn't exist.

"They did such an amazing job on these outfits. It would be a shame for it to go to waste. I'll go on this one date with you," she agreed empathizing the one date part.

I smiled smugly at her. "Good, but I guarantee that eventually you'll change that dating rule," I promised.

She frowned at me and scowled trying to back away. I pulled her back with a smile. I had a feeling that, if she could she would be trying to escape. After I thanked my designer staff I sent them home, and called my driver to get us.

"You have a garage full of cars. Why do you need a driver?" Molly questioned.

"First it would be hard to drive with our hands attached like this. Also the fact that I don't drive," I answered.

"Oh you don't have your license," she guessed.

I didn't reply to her comment. My driver had pulled up right on time. He was always punctual and efficient. All this plus he never got any tickets or accidents is why I trusted him.

My driver, Henry, kept looking back at us through the rearview mirror smiling.

"So where I'm I taking you two for your date," Henry inquired.

"Somewhere quick and cheap," Molly blurted out.

Seriously she wanted to play this game. Fine then I'll play. "Henry actually take us to the most expensive restaurant in the area," I ordered giving a smirk to Molly.

"Ugh. Pfft. Huh?" Molly huffed in annoyance.

I look over at her studying her. She doesn't want this to be serious just a quick mercy date.

"You know if your going to agrue I suggest you use actual words. Plus you agreed to this date," I pointed out.

Her head snaps back to me quickly in disbelief. "Excuse me. Ok first off I suggested something quick and cheap like maybe going out for coffee or tea, since it is a first date. Really the most expensive restaurant around here on the first date. Yeah just because you have money doesn't mean I want you to flaunt it on me," she snaps and I have to back away a little.

Is that what she thinks I'm not trying to flaunt my wealth it's just that this might be my only date with her. I was going to a nice place anyways. Now I just changed it to a more expensive place.

"And second of all huh is a word. For example, when I offered to have sex with you with no dating or strings attached and you refused-

"Huh?" Henry squeaked.

"See told you it's a word,"Molly smiled.

Why? How? I'm I attracted to this. There's so many girls, who would give me less of a headache. They would be boring. But Molly cute, strong, sexy and unexpected a part of my brain reminds me.

When we finally do arrive she has her one free arm on her hip in rebellion. This could be trouble. I scoot over to get out, but I can only go so far.

"Changed my mind," Molly announces not moving.

"What's wrong?" I ask calmly despite the storm brewing.

She just gives a shrug with the ever so reasonable answer of because as her reason. Slowly I can fill the lid tipping as my temperature to boiling point raises.

"Let's be reasonable. We could just try this out. I'm not holding you to any promises. Let's not act like children," I suggest.

"Uuummmmmmm….nope," she replies and that's it I'm at boiling point. A place I've never fully been in my life, before Miss Hooper came.

Without warning I start to pull her out of the car. When she realizes what I'm doing she quickly grabs at the door in a last ditch effort.

"I don't want to! No! You can't force me on a date. This is date rape. Help I'm being date raped!" She shouts.

People start to peak over to see what's going on, but some keep to themselves. "Miss Hooper please refrain from saying those words. People might misinterpret you're definition here of date rape," I hiss in her ear.

She took a deep breath and got out of the car. "You're right I did promise, but it's just this one date." She insisted.

Finally the war was at a standstill for now. Relieved I guided her into the restaurant. The place had a nice atmosphere to it classy and sophisticated but not too uptight. Once I gave my name they quickly found me a table. Yes a perk of owning a multi-billion dollar industry and being a Holmes. Although I hoped I got in due to my business and not from the status of my family's last name.
"Right this way Mr. Holmes," he greeted. He looked over at Molly a little too long for my liking.

"And your name miss? He asked with a smile.

A grin spread across her face. "Miss Hooper. Molly Kathleen Hooper and sole heir to the Hooper fortune," she introduced herself graciously.

I had to blink for a few seconds, she was really good at playing pretend I almost believed her.

"Oh my apologies I didn't recognize you," he lied.

At first he was going to sit us at a table but I insisted on a booth to hide that our hands were attached. Once he left I glaced over at Molly.

"And do pray tell what fortune would you be the heir to," I joked.

She shrugs with an indifferent look. " Probably about £200 from my mom Jill, she is a bad gambler, and my dad Shun dojo. Shun doesn't really believe in money and Jill believes in getting more, which always results in her losing it," she explains with a small nostalgic grin.

"Didn't your biological parents leave you with anything?" I ask and the moment the words are out I want to take them back.

Before I could apologize she answers, her mood changed.

"Nothing. They left me with nothing, not even a word," she sadly vents out.

I want to ask, so I can somehow help, but she perks up with a smile. "My adoptive parents Jill and Shun are great no need to dwell on the past," she dismisses.

It's clear she doesn't want to talk about it, so I change the topic.

"What would you like to eat?" I inquire pointing to the menu.

She doesn't say anything, just intensely stares at her menu in confusion. A few moments pass before she looks up at me with pleading eyes.

"I've never heard of some of this stuff," she confesses.

"You don't recognize anything?"

"Um yeah water, but then you have sparkling water, spring water, mineral water, moutain water, and so on. What's the difference between all of them aren't they just water. I think I'll just ask for water from the tap," she replies.

Our waiter starts to head over to us, and I can see Molly playing a game of eeny, meeny, miny, moe with the menu items.

"I'll order for you. And I won't order anything gross," I promised supressing my laughter at her relieved face.

I ordered two full course meals with dessert and wine. Then thanked and dismissed the waiter, who had prying eyes for Molly. Besides I wanted to talk to her and get to know her better.

"You didn't order me anything weird," she jokes.

"It will be fine," I assured her.

Our appetizers came up very quickly. They were probably rushing for my sake. I didn't mind the wait. The longer the wait, then the longer this date would last. Molly starts to enhale the food taking little bites as possible. She's kind enough to leave me with two pieces.

"It's really good. If it's this good now, I can't wait for the rest, " she beams.

"Well at least you left me two little pieces," I teased.

Her face looks down guility realizing she also took most of my share. "Sorry I took from your plate," she apologize.

"It's fine," I waved off earning a small shrug and smile from Molly.

This date was going good so far. I could hopefully convince her to lift her ban on the dating rule. I could get use to this, just being in her company.

"If I wasn't seeing this with my own two eyes, I wouldn't believe it. You really have gone mental," a familiar voice laughs.

"Irene what a pleasure. What brings you here," I sneer.

"When they said you were leaving for a couple days and taking Molly rumors started to spread.

1. You were going off to some island to have sex with your personal assistant.

2. You already did and got her pregnant. Resulting in you either giving up the baby or marriage.

3. You killed her and disappeared to hide her body.

But John told me the truth. Trust me this one is way more entertaining to me," she laughs pointing to our binded hands.

"Did you come here just for that," I snap.

Irene gives me her Scarlett O'Hara bitch face. "Don't flatter yourself. I was not aware that you would be here. Since you decided to play hooky I'm here on a business dinner with some business clients. You know just doing my job," she grins cockily.

Sometimes I question why I hired her. But then again, where else was I going to find someone that can speak as many languages as her, with the confidence and assertiveness to talk the big boys into doing business. She fights me on everything, but she gets the job done. I'm not stupid enough to let a good worker go just because we don't always agree.

Still her timing is annoyingly impeccable. "Irene which business clients," I ask.

Before she can answer I see two men walk up behind her, and I quickly but smoothly take my hand under the table hiding our predicament.

"Houdini! Sorry I mean Jim,"Molly shouts.

He gives her a huge smile and wave. Moran stalks up behind Jim, giving death glares to Molly. She seems to be oblivious to it.

"Fancy seeing you here. Wait…Is this a date? " Moriarty inquires.

"I'm eating with Sherlock, " She replies ignoring his question.

Say yes, Molly this is a date. I hope she's not thinking of inviting them, when it's suppose to be our first date. Could the bowling in my house be considered a date or watching a movie at my place?

"You should join us," Molly offers and there it is.

Irene steps up to the table. Yes perfect reject the offer. Go off and finish the business meeting. Let us enjoy our date alone.

"You want me to hang out with you two?" Irene asked in a mocking tone.

Yes perfect Irene, now tell her you can't and leave with Moriarty and Moran.

"I love to. I can get business done and hang out. Right Molly," Irene says enthusiastically.

I look at Molly pleading silently with her to reconsider. For a second I think she understands, but then the succubus interrupts.

"It'll be fun don't you think Molly," she smiles sucking Molly in.

"Yes!" Molly answers eager to please.

All of them decide to join. Irene because she wants to annoy me. Moriarty because he's either interested to see what this is between us or maybe has an interest in Molly. I hope it's not the second one though. Then Moran stayed, just because Moriarty did.

When the food comes, the leeches decide to pick off our plate instead of ordering their own food. Well just Irene and Moriarty, who also nitpick at my chooses. Moran seems to be indifferent to the situation.

"Irene shouldn't you get back to work pretty soon," I encourage trying to send a message.

"Jim do mind putting our meeting on hold?" Irene asks.

"Nope," Moriarty replies with a mouth full of my food and then feeds some to Molly.

I glare down at Irene, who is really testing me. "You know most people would get fired if they just messed around, when they were suppose to do work," I state.

"Just like CEO should set an example and not play hooky," she snaps back. She shrugs her shoulder at me giving me a try and fire me challenging look.

"Ohhhh spicy," Moriarty chimed in. "This dish is spicy," he continued handing over a piece to Molly, who gladly accepted it because she's a glutton for food.

Seeing this I reach my breaking point. "Moriarty please stop feeding my date!" I shout causing the whole table to go silent.

"So this is a date," Moriarty chuckles. To my surprise he gets up gesturing to Moran.

Moran nods and gets up calmly and Irene gets up too.

"Shall we get back to our business meeting," Irene offers.

Before Moriarty leaves he kisses Molly cheeks. "You should accompany me sometime," he suggests and I have to surpress my nerves.

"Lets go boss,"Moran urges.

"I don't think he likes me," Molly whispers.

"Oh don't worry he doesn't really like anyone, except me," Moriarty assures her.

Moran gives a shrug. "It depends."

"See you later Molls," Moriarty waves walking to the door.

"Bye Jim," Molly replies right before he leaves.

At last we are alone just the two of us. And suddenly the tension between us gets thick again.

"Lets get out of here and do something fun," Molly suggest.

"Sure seeing how all the food is gone," I say gesturing towards the empty plates.

She laughs and there it is that small clumsy sound brings me back to a good mood. I just can't help, but smile and laugh back.

AN: Thanks for reading I'll have part 2 up soon. I really appreciate all the reviews and those, who read my story. I also going to go back and edit some chapters. I have a laptop now. Most of these chapters I lazily did on my phone.
