Like I said, I'M BACK IN BUSINESS! There's not much to really say other than I was actually meant to upload this a few days ago. But I kinda "Jumped the Gun" so to speak and didn't format the chapter that was meant to go out. But I will say to expect TWO chapters for MVM today. And next I am thinking about doing GN, GL. The Beast Within

Ratchet landed his ship near the... Honestly Ratchet had no fucking clue what he landed next to, seeing the mold collect on the buildings and the gases in the air fog his vision. "Jeez." Ratchet said as he equipped his 02 mask and planted his feet on the planets surface. "You guys really let this place go." Ratchet said through his communicator.

"I'm sorry Ratchet, but the only thing that could be done is quarantine the planet." Sasha said.

"And let nature do the rest in eradicating this poisoned air."

"Exactly."

"Perfect." Ratchet took a few steps on the planets surface, only to hear his cockpit suddenly open up right behind him. "What the-" Ratchet said, positive he locked it. However the answer he was looking for walked around the ship and met the Lombax. "Skrunch?!" Ratchet yelled. How in the living hell did he even get into the ship? The Lombax had no idea. "What are you doing here!?" he yelled in anger, the ape was the least of his problems, he wasn't in the mood for babysitting. The ape however jumped and gestured as he pointed to the facilities on the ground. "I think he's trying to help." Sasha said as she heard the monkeys cries and grunts.

"Sasha you're really overestimating this things intelligence."

"Maybe he wants to help you cure Jordan's illness." she suggested, mammals gotta stick together after all.

"Whatever! I just don't want to hear it from Qwark if he gets hurt. I'm not a babysitting service." Ratchet cut off his communicator and equipped his N60 Storm. He and Skrunch carefully walked across the planets surface to find the facility using only nothing but the monkeys instincts. As they walked Cubit after Cubit along the planets surface, Ratchet had his eyes peeled for any "Wildlife" that may wander the planets surface. Skrunch screeched as he heard something from the right that Ratchet didn't hear. "What now!?" Ratchet yelled in anger.

Slowly, the answer begun to loudly moan and reveal itself from the shadows of the cave it hid in. With its bulging red eyes and its deteriorating body, it looked like a Blargian alien, only in some kind of trance. An evil trance. "What the fuck is that thing!?" Ratchet said wide eyed. "STOP!" Ratchet commanded.

"YEAAAAAAAAAAAAUUGH!" the trooper screamed. Ratchet pointed his blaster at the trooper and decided to end this fuckers misery. He shot it in the chest multiple times, but it still kept moving. Only the precise shot to the head caused it to finally fall. "Sasha are you seeing this?" Ratchet asked through his communicator.

"Can't say I'm surprised." the nurse said through the communicator. "The amount of toxins and gases on that planet can do the craziest things to people."

"No kidding. I'll have to keep an eye out for more of these things." Ratchet continued his trek across the contaminated planet until he had a lead on the hospital the nurse told him about. From time to time he encountered a couple of these Blargian monsters and was able to kill them with easy headshots. As long as they didn't move like a normal Blarg trooper, they should be easy to kill.

500 cubits later.

As Ratchet and Skrunch passed by building after building, Ratchet heard loud moans from another alien. Only this time, this was accompanied by multiple aliens, creating a small horde of twenty of them. He saw them gather and begun to approach the two creatures. "Uh oh." Ratchet said. He quickly equipped his Shock Blaster and begun firing round after round out, hitting five of them and taking them down with ease. But they just seemed to keep coming! Ratchet decided that since they were bunched up so closely, now was the time to use some explosives. He equipped his Nitro Launcher and told Skrunch to step back. He fired a single grenade out of the gun and caused the explosion to send blood and guts all over the planet.

With the area clear, they continued to comb the planets surface until they found the hospital. Skrunch then screeched and pointed towards a building north of them, making Ratchet know in the back of his mind that this must be the hospital.

He slowly pushed the doors open and saw the reception area of the hospital. Guess he would just have to search the place from top to bottom until he found the medicine. Skrunch went through the air vents of the facility, finally leaving Ratchet alone. The Lombax begun to search room after room for any sign of life or that medicine. He finally reached the kitchen after searching the two stories of the building and found no sign of life whatsoever. However once he reached the kitchen, he heard cans and bottles fall from their place and decided to turn his flashlight on his helmet on. He slowly combed the area and locked his eyes on two large figures eating contaminated food. He slowly pointed his gun at them, accidently knocking over a can in the process.

The two creatures quickly looked towards the sound and saw the Lombax. They screamed as loud as they could and charged towards the Lombax. Ratchet equipped his N60 Storm and rapidly fired bullet after bullet towards the creatures. Despite dodgin a few of the bullets, Ratchet was able to kill them with ease. Ratchet got down to examine the beasts and saw that they must've been mutated rats due to appearance and very unusual size.

Ratchet continued his way through the hallways until...

"Jackpot!" Ratchet quietly yelled as he saw a closed off room labeled, "Laboratory". Ratchet kicked the doors open and saw the almost pristine lab in the wake of all of this disaster. At the same time, Skrunch fell from the air vents and met Ratchet inside. "Alright Skrunch. We're looking for a vial with pink liquid in it. Can you handle all that?" Ratchet spoke to the ape.

"..." Skrunch of course didn't respond and simply walked away from the Lombax. Ratchet and Skrunch looked through vial after vial that were conveniently labeled. However he saw something fly towards him and quickly ducked, seeing that it was just Skrunch screeching and throwing vials that didn't match. "Would you stop!" Ratchet commanded. "One of those vials could be the" Ratchet stopped as he saw Skrunch hold out a vial with pink liquid in it. Ratchet grabbed the bottle and read the label. "My god." Ratchet said to himself. "That's it!" Ratchet exclaimed with joy. I guess you can say he underestimated the apes intelligence. "Sasha do you read?" Ratchet quickly said on his communicator.

"Loud and clear." Sasha said.

"Skrunch found the medicine and we're bringing it back to you now!"

"Great!..." Sasha hesitated, realizing something. "I think you owe someone an apology?" Sasha finished.

"Huh?" Ratchet said as he looked around and saw the ape looking at him. Guess mammals really do have to stick together. "Well..." Ratchet hesitated. "I guess I'm-" Ratchet stopped as the moaning sound from before happened again. Skrunch and Ratchet looked towards the location and saw multiple infected Blarg wander through the doors and towards the duo. Ratchet would have to work on that apology later as he realized that the quarters were too close to use his Nitro Launcher, so he equipped the Shock Blaster and fired away. He took out one after the other, but they just kept coming. Soon they built a "Blockade" so to speak of alien bodies and knew this would hold them off for now. Ratchet went back the exact way he came, only to be met by even more Blarg. "Aaah!" Ratchet yelled in fear. The beasts broke through the blockade and all of the creatures were now beginning to overrun the Lombax and ape. They pinned them against the wall and just when they were about to go for the kill. A loud roar came from outside of the hospital, catching all of their attention, including Ratchet and Skrunch. They slowly followed the command and wandered out from the hospital. Once the coast was clear...

"Phew!" Ratchet yelled out in relief, wiping his brow. "Glad that's over."

5 seconds later...

"Oh boy!" Ratchet looked up as he saw the ceiling...what use to be the ceiling get ripped off from its infrastructure and tossed somewhere on the planet. And what exactly ripped off the roof?

Oooooh nothing but a mutated Blargian Snagglebeast, 20 times its original size. It roared down at the two creature, leading Ratchet to do only one thing.

Run to the hills!

"Ratchet?" Sasha questioned through her communicator. "Ratchet do you read me?"

"Can't talk Sasha!" Ratchet yelled.

"Whats going on down there?"

"I don't know. Are you running from a Blargian Snagglebeast?!" he sassed.

"Ratchet!"

"I'll contact you once I'm off of the planet!" Ratchet cut the communicator off and muted Sasha from any further communication. The Lombax begun to run out of air, seeing that he was running for about one and a half Kilo Cubits to make it back to his ship. Luckily he saw his ship in the distance and "Stepped on it".

Once Skrunch and Ratchet were both in the ship, he immediately took off and was about to leave the planet. But after looking at that beast, he couldn't let it live. Ratchet pointed his ship directly at the enlarged beast and begun to open fire, but his ships bullets only bounced off the beats skin surface. The monster roared in anger and Ratchet tried his rockets this' time, "denting" the surface, but still no damage. Now he was beginning to run out of ideas. That is, until Skrunch pointed to something in the distance. "What is it Skrunch?" Ratchet flew to wherever the monkey was pointing and low and behold, a nuclear rocket was just sitting there. "Great idea pal!" Ratchet said, knowing exactly what to do with it. If he could get the creature to pick up the rocket and with precise timing, Ratchet could shoot the rocket and cause it to annihilate the beast and whatever was down below. All he had to do was make a distraction.

Ratchet activated the outside microphone on his ship and begun the distraction. "CMON MOTHERFUCKER!" he yelled. "YOU WANT SOME OF ME?! COME AND GET IT!" he finished. The beast begun to approach him and Ratchet slowly flew away from the warhead. The beast saw the warhead and picked it up, having an idea of its own. Unfortunately, it was all about quick reflexes as Ratchet used his rockets and launched them directly at the top of the warhead.

KABOOM!

With the warhead detonated, Ratchet flew through the atmosphere like a bat outta hell while the beast slowly melted into nothing but ash.

Once he was in space, he quickly felt around his pockets to see if he had the vial, but stopped as he saw Skrunch hold the vial. He sighed heavily in relief and let autopilot do the rest as they flew off to the Phoenix to save their best friend in the whole universe…

I apoligize in advance for boring all of you guys with this long list of short chapters. But once we reach chapter 23 of MVM, I promise it will pick up after that. Actually I'm planning on doing another AVGH for chapter 24, and I think the battle of Metropolis is after that and that will be a great one I can promise you that. But hey, expect the next chapter of MVM in a couple of hours or so. Until then...
