Ryke and Ruby found a room and made themselves comfy on the bed once they got changed into their sleeping clothes, not planning on leaving for a while "How long longs this flight?" Ruby asked laying on top of Ryke.

"Uh I think about twenty three hours or something to that effect" Ryke said drumming his fingers against her back "What are we gonna do?"

"Well we could…" Ruby sat up straddling his waist and slowly started to unbutton his shirt. Ryke sighed as her fingers ran over his stomach though he tensed when the strayed down.

"Ruby we can't" Ryke protested setting his hand on Ruby's wrist and sitting up "I mean you're fifteen should something happen you could be seriously hurt or worse" He ran his hand down her face "I'm sorry"

Ruby's face fell before she sighed before burying her face into Ryke's neck and wrapping her arms around his shoulders "I just wish we could do something all the girls talk about how amazing it feels and even Blake and Yang say it's one the best feelings in the world being so close to your partner". Ryke rubbed her back slowly, listening to her words and truth be told he wanted to more intimate with her as much as she did but the risks were too great.

They sat for a little while longer enjoying silence and each other's company

Ryke thought he heard something though decided to ignore -Tick Tick-

"Ruby" Ryke briskly said waking Ruby for her light nap on his shoulder.

Ruby looked around slightly confused at being roused suddenly "Huh wha? Ryke are we there yet?"

"No someone's picking the door lock"

They quickly moved Ryke hid behind the door and Ruby took up position in the darkened bathroom, the room fell silent once again only the ticks of the locks could be heard before the door was unlocked and was opened. Two figures walked in though Ryke recognised them, he stood up and closed the door behind them.

"Yang, Blake what the hell are you doing?"

They both spun around with a look of surprise on their faces.

"Oh hi Ryke we uh" Yang started attempting create a decent cover story

"We took a dust plane to Patch then snuck on here to surprise you two so we could have team trip" Blake explained before the door knocked.

"Weiss?" Ruby asked walking out of the bathroom.

"Yeah" Yang said rubbing the back if her head "She refused to sneak in"

Blake opened the door revealing Weiss with her arms crossed "They caught you didn't they?" she asked causing Yang to hang her head.

"Well we have another problem, there's no more rooms" Weiss stated entering the bedroom "All five of us will have to sleep in here, somehow"

Ryke rubbed his temples staving off a headache "Right, do you have your things?"

Yang went out and pulled in a few suitcases "Yep should we get changed and just try find room in the bed"

Weiss immediately stiffen "All of us in one bed with…with"

"A boy?" Blake finished smirking at Weiss.

"Yes!"

Ryke made a face of mock hurt "Weiss how could you this to me? You truly are an ice princess"

They all chuckled though Weiss glared as her hand twitched towards Myrtenaster which Ryke took as a sign to leave, which he quickly did. He stood outside the room waiting on they to get changed wondering how hard with about be to get 5 people into a small queen sized bed It couldn't be that hard he thought.

As it turn out it was rather hard indeed.

"Ruby your arm is in my face"

"Sorry Blake, Weiss your hair is going up my nose"

"RYKE PLEASE STOP GROPING ME!"

"Weiss I've been on the floor for the past fifteen minutes so that's not me"

Blake flicked on a lamp and they all extracted themselves from each other and Ryke stood up from the floor.

"Right let's try this again, Okay I'll get in first on the outside, then Ruby followed by Weiss and finally Yang then Blake" Ryke explained. They all climb in and after quite bit of pushing, poking and inappropriate touching they finally settled in a formation. Ryke was on the outside left who was spooning Ruby with his wings hand over the edge if the bed, Weiss lay in front of Ruby with her back to Yang who was laying on her back with Blake laying on the blondes side.

"This is quite comfy" Ryke said wrapping an arms around Ruby's waist.

"It is" Ruby agreed snuggling closer to him. Ryke smiled and closed his eyes, though opened them when he heard an earth rumbling snore from Yang.

"Bloody hell, how do you sleep through that" He asked to himself before he was answered.

"We don't know, I've just gotten used to it" Ruby said sleepily.

The next morning Ruby feeling the most refreshed she'd ever felt. She slowly opened her eyes to Weiss still out of the count in front of her, looking very calm and content. Ruby smiled when Ryke pulled her closer and buried his face in her reddish-brown hair. He mumbled incoherently and continued sleeping soundly.

Ruby gently extracted herself from Ryke's arms, he grumbled at his warm moving away, and sat up meeting her silvered eyes gaze with Blake's golden ones who was sitting with her back against the head board reading a book with Yang's head in her lap.

"Morning Bllaaakkee" Ruby yawned rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.

"Good morning Ruby did you sleep well?"

Ruby nodded stretching "Have you been up long?"

"A little while, though my pillow partner here didn't want me to leave"

Ruby giggled at Yang happily snoring on Blake's lap before she felt Ryke stir beside her. He stretched out his wings, his back cracking like branches off tree snapping during a storm making both Ruby and Blake flinch though the sigh he let out after proved he was okay. Ryke propped himself up onto his side so he could just see over Ruby's thigh.

"Hey" he drawled before laying back down again "Blake what does the clock say about the arrival time?"

"Seven hours, well arrive at 1am"

Ryke huffed running his hand over his face "How are five hunters-in-training gonna fill seven hours stuck in a small room?"

"Strip poker sounds fun" Yang mumbled from Blake's lap surprising all of them, though that idea was quickly shut down with Blake setting the book on her face with a little more force than was necessary.

Ryke shoke his head and peered over Ruby "So when do you think Princess is gonna wake up?"

"In about two seconds" Yang said before she sat up and half jumped half flopped on top of the sleeping Weiss who woke up spewing curses. Once she had calmed down she promptly decided that she would have a shower.

The hours past slowly with them mostly just lying in the room and talking. An announcement soon ring throughout the ship saying that they would be docked in ten minutes and all passengers should be ready to leave the ship. Team RRWBY gathered in the entrance hall with Yang standing at the forefront in her usual attire with Weiss.

"Uh you too are gonna have to put some extra layers on" Ryke stated zipping up is coat and wrapping a red scarf around his neck. Ruby had donned an extra padded skirt and wrapped her cloak around her body while Blake had a fuzzy bow over her ears and a dark purple hoodie.

"Why? It's coming into the summer" Weiss said in a matter of fact tone while Yang just nodded though their smugness was short lived when the doors opened to a snowed covered forest. As the other passengers filter out Ryke, Blake and Ruby stood was amused as they wait on their other members prepare for the snow. Weiss exited the bathroom with think woollen tights and a puffy white coat on while Yang had settled on a thigh length leather coat and a pair of blue jeans.

"Are the artic explorers ready?" Blake dryly stated as Yang gripped her arm in an attempt to steal some heat off her partner. They walked through the quiet streets with only the sound of the snow under foot to disturb the silence, Ryke seemed happy taking a deep breath of the air so cold that it almost hurt his nose.

Ruby nudged his shoulder "Happy to be home?"

"Yeah I've missed home, but" He put his arm around Ruby's waist "Now that you're here it's even better"

Ruby blushed and rested her head on his shoulder. They approached the hotel, as impressive at night cover in snow as it was in the sun light. They opened the door and walked into the foyer, which was dark aside from a few small lights scattered around the room.

"Shouldn't we check in?" Weiss asked lowering her voice as it echoed in the empty hall.

Ryke shook his head "Weiss I live here why would I have to check in?

They walked up the beautiful circler stair case to the second tallest floor "This is where you'll stay we only have rooms for me, Angelina and my mother up top theses room were built for family friends and the like. You can choose any of them ill see you tomorrow" Ryke explained before saying his goodnights and giving Ruby a quick kiss on the cheek.

He slowly make his way up to the main living area of his home which was at the very centre of the trunk with the three bedrooms, bathroom and the kitchen sitting no massive branches. Ryke heard some noise coming the kitchen as well as seeing a small trickle of little of light from the open door way.

"I'm just worried is all" He recognised his mother's voice as he walked towards the door.

"He's mature for his age and he loves you and Angie above all else he'll take it fine Val" Another voice said from inside the room one that he was surprised too here. He peer around the corner and saw too figures facing away from the door, one was his mother in her fuzzy baby blue dressing gown and the other in a plain black one.

Professor Goodwitch? He thought listening closer to the conversation.

"I know he does but I haven't been in a relationship since Arty died" Valerie explained with a sigh which make Ryke heart drop, though what happened next surprised him even more. Goodwitch part her arm around Valerie's waist and kissed the side of her head.

"He be fine, when should we tell him?" Goodwitch said softly.

"You just did" Ryke said from the doorway standing up straight, they both spun around with the speed of trained huntresses. They both realised who was standing at the door and paled considerably, Ryke took a few steps into the kitchen and Glynda quickly left.

"Ryke I know what you're thinking…" Valerie started though her son interrupted

"Mum are you happy?" he asked placing a hand on her shoulder.

His mother nodded with small tears forming in her eyes "Yes truly I am" Ryke pulled her into a hug.

"Then that's all that matters to me" they continued the hug in silence as Valerie sobbed happily but quietly into her son shoulder before he spoke up "But seriously mum my teacher?"

Valerie lightly hit her son on the back of the head before saying her good nights to him, Ryke left the kitchen giving Goodwitch a smile as he walked towards his room, where he stripped and changed into his pajamas and crawled into bed. No long after he felt two arms snake around his waist.

"So what happened into kitchen?" Ruby asked bury her face in between his wings and Ryke laced his fingers in hers.

"My mother is dating Goodwitch"
