"Okay Raph!" Leo laughed, pointing to Raph. Mikey was tired of after supper being so boring so he turned this particular night into a game of "try not to laugh". Raph grabbed a slice of pizza from the table. "Want a slice?" Raph said to Maddie, and she hesitantly grabbed a slice of pizza. She took a bite, and dropped the slice. "…HOOOOOTTTT!" She shrieked. The others were rocking on their shells. "Very funny." She groaned. She swallowed hard, making the others laugh harder at how red her face was. "I guess that had a purpose. Minus one to all of you, one and a half to each of us. So I guess it's my turn now." She smiled. She pulled out a can of prank chips. "Hey, Mikey. I got this new brand of chips. What do you think?" She said, struggling to open the package. She turned the can so the lid was facing her. "Why won't this thing-OW!" She yelled, and grabbed her eye. The springs hit her eye. Everyone was laughing their heads off. "I guess we all lost a point." Maddie laughed. Everyone counted their chips. "Looks like Donnie's the winner of round 1!" She announced. "Pay up." Donnie grinned, and Leo handed him his slice of pizza. The night went on like that, and then the next night on the patrol, they all heard a roar, and Donnie was gone. "DONNIE?!" Leo screamed, and the search was on. It was slash. He beat Donnie to a pulp, and hid him somewhere on the rooftops. "I bet it was slash!" Raph said. "Humanawho?" Maddie asked. "Slash." Leo explained the whole story.
"Whaaaat…?" Maddie said after the story. She squinted. "Hey! I found him!" Maddie yelled to the others. "What happened?" She said, observing how hurt he was. Maddie said he sprained his arm, and Leo went to wrap it. Maddie turned around. "Mikey? MIKEY?!" She yelled. Mikey was gone. "Raph, you go with Maddie to find Mikey. I'll stay with Donnie." Leo instructed. After five minutes, Raph and Maddie found Mikey. "I'll challenge him to buy you time." Raph said, and Maddie ran over to Mikey. Before Maddie and Mikey knew it, Raph was fighting slash. "Nothing's broken or sprained, but this looks pretty bad." Maddie said, pointing to a large cut on his leg. She pulled a bottle from her bag. "This might sting," she said, Mikey cringed, and Maddie reached into her bag for a wrap. Before she could pull it out, slash threw her around, and smashed her into a pump. Slash lifted his mace, and he let out an excruciating shriek. "Leo?" Maddie said, half conscious. She struggled not to pass out, and weakly pulled out an arrow. Meanwhile, slash was backed up on the edge of the roof. The next thing Leo and Raph knew, slash fell off the roof. They turned around, and saw Maddie unconscious, bow in hand. They brought everyone home, and Maddie woke up first. She felt a sharp pain in her leg, and looked down. "How did this happen…?" She asked. Leo explained the story, and looked over to see Donnie and Mikey. "What the-oh wait…never mind." She said. "I already took care of their cuts." Leo said. "Oh, you can't think about a cracker without it catching fire, but you take care of cuts without a spark?" She grinned. Leo rolled his eyes. "There's still plenty of mutagen canisters out there, so let's go." Leo continued. They awoken Donnie and Mikey, both saying they felt much better. When Donnie said there was a canister in a forest, they all headed in. They were in the middle of it, when Maddie heard a scream. "HELP!" It screamed. "BETH?!" Maddie yelled, heading toward the place where she heard the scream. She stopped in a circle of trees. She heard a scream again when a bird passed. She pulled an arrow out, and shot the bird. The screaming stopped. "That can't be good." She said to herself. She started running to where everyone was before, thousands of birds chasing her, mocking her loved ones' screams. Just before she reached the turtles, she slammed into an invisible shield. A giant airship hovered above her. "Don't fight anymore. Join me to make it stop." Someone said through a speaker. "Baxter Stockman?! No!" She screamed. She heard something muffled from the other side. It was Mikey's hand trying to break the shield. He just laid his hand on the shield after a minute. Maddie covered her ears, trying to block out the screams, starting to cry. She felt like this torture was going to go on forever, when suddenly, the birds disappeared. Maddie put her hand through the shield, showing it was weak now. She bolted through the shield, right into Mikey. "It's okay." He said. Maddie was still crying. "At least you were strong." He smiled. "Strong? I was crying the whole time! How is that strong?" She yelled. "You didn't give in to Baxter." Mikey responded. Maddie chortled a little, and started walking out of the forest. "Let's get out of here before Baxter acts up again. Besides, I think we found what we were looking for." She smiled, holding up a can of mutagen.
