A week passed and it was one day before the Christmas Eve. It was early in the morning and everyone was still sleeping except from Molly who as usual she woke up very early to make breakfast for everyone. When Remus woke up and walked downstairs the beautiful smell of fresh cupcakes made him walk to the kitchen. ''Good morning Molly'' He said and Molly smiled ''Good morning Remus'' Remus sat there for a while holding a cup of coffee in his hands and enjoying the silence. His silence thought stopped when everyone started to wake up one by one. Molly put the breakfast on the table and the occupants of the house started to eat while chatting with each other.
Hermione and Ginny today were going to visit Diagon Alley to buy all the gifts they wanted for their friends and family. They were discussing about where they we going first when Remus turned around and touched Hermione's shoulder.
''Do you mind if some of us come too? We know you wanted to go for shopping but these are very dark times. You need someone to protect you.'' Remus said to the 2 girls and the men who Remus was talking to looked at them with question.
''No it's okay. Of course you can come. We know that these are very dark times. And we should not forget that attacks all around the world'' Hermione said and Ginny nodded and everyone smiled ''We are going to get dressed and we will be back in a while so we can leave.'' Hermione said and the 2 girls left to go to their room. Half an hour later they went downstairs and into the living room where they saw Remus, Sirius, Lucius and another man they didn't know waiting for them. ''We are ready'' Ginny said and the men stood up and Lucius nodded.
''Then we are ready to go but before we go, you have to meet Henry Slughorn. He is an Order member who for a few years was living in Australia under the wish of Dumbledore. He came back just an hour ago but he just arrived here. He will be coming with us.'' Lucius explained to the two girl who nodded at them.
''Now that everything is clear let's go'' Sirius said and opened the door to Hermione and Ginny so they could go outside. ''We will apparate from here. Hermione I know you can apparate alone but let's just go together so we can be ready'' he added
''Of course Sirius'' Hermione said and took hold of Remus hand while Ginny took hold of Henry's hand. Hermione and Remus arrived first and soon everyone else followed.
''So where do we go first ladies?'' Henry asked and smirked
Ginny smiled ''Our first stop is to Quality Quidditch Supplies. We need presents for our quidditch players'' she said and Hermione laughed and all together they went to the shop. For about two hours the 6 of them were visiting one shop after another and were trying to find everything they wanted. After they walked out of their last shop the girls turned around to see the men ready to fall down. The two of them burst out laughing and Hermione went and kissed Remus cheek ''We are sorry for making you go all around Diagon Alley. Maybe we could go to The Leaky Cauld-
Suddenly a bang was heard and death eaters appeared around the Diagon Alley. Remus and the men moved in front of the girls and pulled out their wands. The girls did the same. Hermione waved her wand and their shopping bags went inside her pocket. Screams were heard from all around the alley and people were running frantically.
''Let's go'' Sirius yelled and took hold of Ginny's hand and they started to run followed by Henry, Lucius and Remus who was holding Hermione's hand. Suddenly death eaters appeared in front of them and Sirius stopped and moved in front of Ginny and he send a spell towards the death eaters who fell on his knees after he was hit by the spell. However death eaters had circled them. Aurors and more death eaters arrived in the scene. Hermione took hold of Ginny's hand and moved in the back. Hermione suddenly looked at her opposite and saw a man hiding in the shadows. He was hiding from all the others but he wasn't hiding from her. Hermione was looking at him but she was taken aback when someone yelled Remus name. Hermione turned around in moment to see Remus fall down. She screamed and run to him. ''Remus, come on, open your eyes, Remus please'' She was saying with tears in her eyes. Sirius kneeled at the other side of Remus and was shaking him ''Moony come on.'' Hermione looked at the scene in front of her. The aurors were failing to protect the people. She looked around her. People were unconscious or dead around her. Suddenly she felt someone squeeze her hand and saw Remus open his eyes ''Oh Remus '' she said and tears rolled down her cheeks. ''It's okay cub'' he said and Sirius and Hermione breathed a sigh of relief.
''Black we need you'' Lucius yelled and Sirius went immediately and started to fight again. Remus stayed at the floor near Ginny who had knelt down.
''Hermione'' Ginny whispered and Hermione looked at her. Her eyes widen the moment she heard someone scream ''Lucius watch out'' She turned around and saw a green light going towards Lucius who was hit by a spell and he couldn't move. Hermione run to him while the time was like it had stopped. Lucius was looking at her with fear in his eyes while Hermione stood in front of him. ''NO'' Everyone screamed the moment the killing curse fell on Hermione and a white light circled her. When the green smoke disappeared everyone was surprised to see Hermione standing. The death eater who ha cast the killing curse was looking in horror the moment Hermione stretched her arm and a force that no one saw coming send him and his fellow death eaters straight to the wall. Lucius able now to stand up looked at Hermione and saw for once again that her eyes had lost their color and had become black.
