It goes without saying for both of the Schnee sisters that they are not used to the sight of a slow moving city. There were people driving all around and people walking here and there, but this small city on Patch is nowhere near as busy as Vale or Atlas. They were comfortable with that though; after spending nearly their entire lives in a bustling city, it is nice just to explore a quiet little town.

Winter had no idea what they were trying to accomplish. Her little sister dragged her into town, and they have visited clothes stores to weapons stores. No matter where they went, though, Weiss kept on saying that whatever she looked at would not be good enough. She was also clueless of where their next destination is; Weiss seemed to be wandering around aimlessly now.

"Not that I don't enjoy spending time with you, Weiss," said Winter, "but might I ask why we are here?"

As she surveyed all of the stores around her, Weiss replied, "I heard from Mr. Xiao Long that Ruby's birthday is coming up here soon, so I was wanting to try to find a good birthday gift for her."

"And you brought me along because?"

"I wanted to spend some time with you. We did lose out on many years after all." Weiss looked around some more before she finally sighed in defeat. "Plus, I could really use some help," admitted Weiss having swallowed her pride.

"Is that right?" inquired Winter with a raised brow. "Give me a minute to do a bit of research." She pulled out her phone and did some searching online. Weiss leaned against a wall with crossed arms, impatiently waiting for her older sister to find something. It was just a few short minutes that felt like years to the younger sister, but Winter finally closed her phone. "I have an idea. Follow me."

Weiss followed her older sister as she pondered what Winter had come up with. The two walked across town for a mere couple of blocks before they arrived at a fancy store. The name of the store was "Ember's." This place was a jewelry stores, one part of one of the largest chains of jewelers in the world.

"Jewelry?" Weiss asked skeptically. "Do you not know, Ruby? Do you really think she would be interested in jewelry?"

Winter answered, "The common necklace and other items of the sort: no. Something unique, meaningful, and heartfelt: absolutely." By the look on her little sister's face, she knew that Weiss was starting to catch on. "When is her birthday?"

"Five days from now."

"Alright then. Come on."

The two Schnees entered the store, where they were greeted by a man dressed in a elegant black suit. "Good afternoon, and welcome to Ember's. Is there anything that I could help you with?"

Weiss replied, "Yes. Who could I speak with about commissioning a customized piece."

"I can help you that," answered the vendor as he led them to a counter. "What do you have in mind, my dear?"

Weiss eyes widened as she realized she has no idea. "I don't know. I haven't given it any thoughts yet."

Winter stated, "We only just gotten the idea to get something customized, so we haven't had time to think on it yet."

"I see. Might I ask what this would be for?"

"It's for my girlfriend," said Weiss. "Her birthday is coming up soon, so I want to get her something special."

"Oh, It's a gift for a very special someone then!" the man stated ecstatically. "Well then, tell me, is there something that can symbolize her or your relationship with her."

Weiss grabbed her chin, thinking of every small detail about Ruby and herself. Within minutes, the heiress eyes brightened when she arrived at an answer. "I believe a white rose is the best way to symbolize our relationship."

"Excellent!" exclaimed the vendor as he clapped his hands together. "We can work with that."

Weiss and the man spent the next half hour discussing the type of jewelry they could buy, the material it can be forged out of, special minerals that can be added on, and all of the possible decorations. When they have finally come to a decision, the vendor pulled out a ticket book and began to write down all of the details for their commission.

Winter asked, "So how long will it take to get this made?"

The vendor replied with a smile, "We'll have it by next week."

"That won't do. Is it possible to get it done within the next four days?"

The man's smile disappeared, and he replied nervously, "We could, but there will be an expensive rush order fee with it."

Winter crossed her arms. "That's fine. We can afford it."

The man's smile reappeared, happy that he did not miss out on a sale. "Very well. We can get it done within the time provided. We have many skilled craftsmen at our service and would appreciate the overtime," he assured the sisters.

He finished writing down all of the details and passed the invoice to the Schnees. Weiss took a look at the total. Any normal person's eyes would have popped out at the price, but Weiss was not as shocked. "Now we will need a down payment for the commission," stated the vendor. "It's only half of the price of the order before the rush order. The rest will be paid when you pick up the order. If we do not have the item ready within the time you provided, you will not be charged the rush order."

Weiss grabbed a credit card and handed it over to the man. "I hope you do get it done by then. I want to give it to her on the day of her birthday."

He swiped the credit card through a machine and, upon approval, handed it back to its owner. With his usual smile, he said, "Of course. We will have it done by then."

"Thank you." Weiss took her card back and her copy of the invoice. They were bid a good day as they left the store.

Once they were outside, Weiss said, "Thank you, Winter. I really think she'll love this gift."

Winter smiled. "She will. A girl like Ruby will love any heartfelt gift, especially from you." The two sisters gave each a quick embrace. "Now it's my turn to pick where we go next. I've heard a lot of rave about this café that's close by. I would like to check it out."

Ruby sat up in her bed, dressed in her pajamas, and reading a comic book. It's been ages since she read something from one of her favorite series, and she needs to catch up to the latest issues. She was so involved in the comic she was reading that she did not notice Weiss entering the room.

The heiress jumped into bed next to Ruby asking, "What are you reading?"

Ruby had to do a double take as she finally became aware of her girlfriend's presence. "Oh. Hey, Weiss. I'm reading the series that takes many years ago before we had stuff like cellphones, TVs, and even cars. It's about this kid who was born with this anti-demon weapon as his left arm, and he uses them to fight these living weapons created by a creepy man called the Millennium Earl."

Weiss took a look at the pages Ruby had the book opened too. She saw a boy wearing a cape and a mask whose left arm was a claw, and he was fighting a refined man with very dark skin. "It looks very interesting," she commented.

"It's a very good story," stated Ruby. "The series was on hold for a while, but they recently started to release new chapters again. I'm going through and reading it again so I can remember everything that happened. You should try reading it sometime."

"Alright then. I will."

Weiss got off of the bed and headed towards the closet. She grabbed a clean nightie and made her way towards the door.

"Hey, where are you going, Weiss?" asked Ruby.

"I'm going to the bathroom to change," answered Weiss.

"You don't have to. You can change in here," Ruby suggested as she placed her book to the side.

"But you haven't seen me in just my underwear before," the heiress argued.

"So? Come on! We're girlfriends here, this is our room, and Blake and Yang are in their own room. It should be alright for you to change here."

Weiss smirked as she came to a conclusion. "Ruby, do you want to see me in just my underwear?"

A slight blush appeared on Ruby's cheeks. "Maybe."

"Alright then."

Locking the door to make sure no one barges in on them, Weiss moved to the center of the room to start changing. Ruby watched with anticipation as Weiss first slowly took off her jacket and exposed her collarbone and tossed her jacket into the hamper. The heiress then bent over to delicately remove her boots, and she stretched out her toes once each foot was freed. The next article to go was the sash that secured the her combat skirt to her waist.

Now all Weiss was wearing was her combat skirt. She looked at her girlfriend, and she could clearly see the anticipation in the young girl's eyes. She reached down to grab the bottom of her skirt and began to slowly pulled up to remove it. As she removed her combat skirt, she slowly revealed plain, white panties, and then she exposed a white strapless bra. Now she stood in the She smirked and tossed her clothes into the hamper.

Weiss pointed at herself and she asked, "So, how do I look?"

The more Ruby looked her nearly naked girlfriend up and down, the darker the shade of red on her face became. She quickly grabbed a pillow and buried her face in it. "You're too sexy!" she shouted into the pillow. Her response was muffled, but Weiss could clearly hear it.

"Why thank you, Ruby." The heiress stretched out her arms and climbed into bed with Ruby scooting up close to the blushing redhead. "You know, I feel so comfortable wearing just my underwear. I think I'll sleep without my nightie tonight."

Ruby's heart was beating rapidly. She does not know if she could survive an entire night with Weiss in only her underwear. She slightly pulled her still red face away from the pillow, and worked hard to look at Weiss in the eyes and only her eyes. "A-are y-you sure you don't want to dress into your nightie?" she stuttered.

"No. I feel perfectly fine with what I'm wearing," Weiss replied confidently.

"So you are sure you don't want to dress into your nightie?"

With a raised brow, Weiss said, "You seem to really want me to get dressed into my nightie. What's wrong? I thought you wanted to see me like this?"

Ruby gulped. "I did," she replied nervously whilst waving her arms around. "It just feels weird to see you like that. You know. In just your underwear. Almost naked."

"How do you think that I feel about this?" asked Weiss. "This feels a bit weird to me too."

"You just said you were comfortable like that!" shouted Ruby.

"I'm used to wearing something in front of other people, so letting you see me in just my bra and panties is kinda weird. At the same time, though, I'm comfortable letting you see me like this too."

"Really?" Ruby asked a bit surprised.

"Yes." Weiss climbed out of bed and moved towards the closet. "If it'll make you feel better, I'll dress in my nightie tonight. And when you are comfortable seeing me in my underwear, I might let you see me wearing nothing at all."

Ruby was now officially brain dead. Her face was as red as can be, her heart rate was through the roof, and her body fell limp onto the bed. She could not believe that Weiss said that to her. Now all she could think about was imagining Weiss completely naked. She did not get a clear image; the private parts were still obscured in her head even though all of the clothes were gone.

Weiss, now with her nightie on, climbed back into bed with Ruby, who was still unresponsive. She rearranged the younger girl to where her head was lying face up on her lap. Weiss ran her fingers through Ruby's hair and gazed into the silver eyes that were busy looking into a different universe; the blush on the redhead's face has started to recede. "You really are still just a child, Ruby," stated Weiss pulling Ruby out of her stupor.

With her blush gone, Ruby crossed her arms and asked, "Is there anything wrong with being a child."

"Nope," replied Weiss. "Not with you, Ruby." She cupped her hand over Ruby's cheek. "You are perfect the way you are."

Ruby grabbed onto Weiss' hand. "You are too sweet, Weiss."

"Only with you and Winter, Ruby."

Weiss continued to stroke Ruby's hair, and Ruby continued to lie with her head resting on Weiss's lap. She closed her eyes as she enjoyed the sensation of her girlfriend's delicate fingers play with her hair. She simply loved these moments where they can quietly sit around and enjoy each other's company.

"So what did you do today, Weiss?" asked Ruby curiously.

The heiress shrugged. "Not much. I just explored town with Winter today. We first stopped by a few shops, but we didn't get anything." That was only partially true. Weiss did make a purchase, but it was for Ruby's birthday; there is no way she would want to spoil the surprise. "Then Winter draggednme around to a few coffee shops. She wanted to see if she could find one that served coffee she'd really enjoy."

"Oh yeah?"

Weiss nodded. "We actually like how quiet this town is compared to the kingdoms, and it is actually safe compared to other towns outside of the kingdoms. Winter is thinking about finding a house to buy here in this town, but before that, she would like to find a café she'd like to frequent."

"So did she find one?"

"She actually found a couple," answered Weiss. "But enough about that. You're birthday is coming up soon. Is there anything special you would like?"

Ruby stared up at the ceiling as she thought about what she would like for her birthday. She is certain that no matter what she asks for, the heiress could attain it for her. The only question is: what would she like? Eventually she replied, "Anything you decide to get me is all I would want."

Weiss playfully slapped Ruby's forehead. "Thanks for making it easy on me, Ruby." Granted this did make Weiss feel more comfortable about her gift for Ruby, it still irks her to not get a straight answer for a question like this. "Well, I do have the perfect idea then."

"What is it?" Ruby asked excitedly.

The white haired girl flicked her red haired girlfriend. "I ain't telling you!" she asserted. "I'm not going to ruin the surprise."

Ruby rubbed her sore forehead and smirked. "Well then, I can't wait to see what you got me."

Four days have passed by in the blink of an eye, and Weiss had returned to Ember's. Upon entering the building, she was greeted by the vendor who she spoke with when she first came in. The man greeted ecstatically, "Ah, Miss Schnee! It's good to see you again. The item you requested is ready. Come with me."

He led her to the counter, and he walksd into the back area for just a moment before returning with a long yet small, black box. "We were able to finish up this piece just this morning. I hope it is to your liking."

Weiss took the box and inspected the item inside. She was left breathless. It was better than what she expected, and she believes that Ruby will love it. She closed the box and stated with a smile, "It's perfect."

The vendor clapped his hands together. "I am so glad to hear that!"

He pulled out the invoice and punched the remainder of the price into the register. Weiss handed him her credit card, and she paid off what she owes. She grabbed the box and turned to exit. "I hope your girlfriend loves the gift."

Weiss faced the man as she replied, "Thank you. I am sure she will. You did a splendid job after all."

Everyone gathered together at the dining table on the night of Ruby's birthday. Everyone had their fill of dinner, and Tai Yang had just brought out the cake he spent half the day baking for his adorable, youngest daughter. The cake was covered with pink frosting and had rose designs dotted across the dessert. On the top was written "Happy Birthday, Ruby!" and it caried candles designed to look like the number sixteen.

Blake and Weiss keep forgetting that their team leader is actually a couple of years younger than them. Ruby does a good job as team leader, and she her skills have definitely earned her a spot in Beacon Academy. Sometimes it's just easy to forget that she is younger than them. The candles were a nice reminder for them.

Tai Yang told Ruby to make a wish, but she had no need to. Ruby already has everything she could possibly want. Wothout hesitation, she blew out the candles of the cake and everyone wished her a happy birthday.

Qrow held up his flask. "Happy birthday, kiddo. If only you were five years older, you and I could be sharing our first drink together." Qrow was met with glares from everyone in the room, except for Ruby who did not think much of it. The drunkard chuckled nervously. "What? I can't joke about it?"

Winter pulled roughly on the man's ear. "We really wish you wouldn't."

Yang handed Ruby a small, wrapped box with much enthusiasm. "Here. Open up my gift for you."

Tai Yang said, "Hey! Shouldn't we at least eat cake first," but it was too late. Ruby was already opening up her present. The man deflated and pouted, "Fine. I guess the cake can wait."

Ruby excitedly ripped apart the wrapping to reveal a simple cardboard box. She opened up the box, and inside of it was a long, red rifle scope. Ruby gasped at the item. She slowly removed the scope from the box, eyes filled with surprise. She asked, "Is this the Grimm Killer RTX 2015 Sniper Scope?"

Yang grinned with a thumbs up, and answered, "Yes it is, Rubes. It's one of the best scopes out there. I thought you'd like to attach that to Crescent Rose."

Ruby carefully set the scope down; she was breathing heavily. "H-how did you get the money to buy this?"

"You remember that guy, Junior, whose bar I trashed once." The brawler's little sister replied with a nod. "Well, a couple weeks ago he got onto another gang's bad side, and he hired me to help guard the bar one weekend."

Weiss said, "That explains why you went missing for an entire weekend."

"Yeah. I made some good money. A few hundred lien a night. Apparently being a guard for a gang is a well paid job," Yang stated with a overly exagerated chuckle. "Anyway, when I got the money, I could only think to use it to get something good for my little sister's birthday."

Ruby, still shocked by the scope, stuttered, "Y-Yang, you didn't have to."

The blonde went over to her sister, and she pulled her into a powerful bear hug. "I didn't have to, but I did want to."

The hug was so strong that it was depriving Ruby of oxygen. The little struggled to pry herself free from her sister's death hug, but once she had, after regaining her breath, she smiled happily. "Thank you, Yang. I'll add it on soon."

The others started giving gifts to Ruby as well. The next one up was Blake, and she gave Ruby a novel; it's about a young girl traveling from town to town and fighting monsters while searching for her mother. The faunus said that this book was her favorite to read when she was growing up. Ruby happily accepted the her teammate's gift.

Tai Yang got Ruby a dvd collection of one of her favorite shows. The birthday girl was said she could not wait to watch it. The next one up was Winter. The eldest Schnee had no idea what to get Ruby, so she provided her a gift card that contains two hundred lien. Ruby was taken aback by the amount given to her; she had no idea of what to spend that money on. Winter claimed that it is no big deal leaving the hooded girl to wonder how much Weiss would get on her own birthday.

Qrow's gift was next, and he had gotten Ruby a flask, and the man once again received glares from everyone else in this room only that these were at a deathly level. Tai Yang asked, "Are you trying to turn my daughter into a drunk?"

Qrow raised his hands defensively. "No, no. I thought that she could put milk or soda or something in it for if she gets thirsty."

Yang said, "Qrow, anyone who sees that will think she is drinking something alcoholic."

Blake asked, "How drunk were you when you bought her this?"

Qrow shrugged. "I don't know. I lost count of how much I had after a while."

Winter grabbed the drunk by his collar and started tondrag him out of the house. "You and I need to have a talk," she chided.

"Try not to destroy my front yard," pleaded Tai Yang.

Now it was Weiss' turn to give Ruby her gift. Ruby grabbed the present with much excitement and unwrapped it rather inelegantly. With the wrapping gone, she now held a black box in her hands. Weiss grew more anxious as she waits to see Ruby's response, and everyone grew more curious about what is within the box. The red head opened it up, and she was left speechless.

She pulled out a necklace. Its chains were made from gold, and it carried two pieces of decorations. One of them was a pendant made from white gold in the form of a rose, and it was outlined by diamonds around the outer edges. The other piece was a heart shaped locket with the letters WR engraved into it. Onside of the locket were two pictures: one was of Ruby amd Weiss sleeping on a bench together at Winter's manor, the other was one Blake took of them together in their dresses on the night of the ball when they got back together.

Tears built up in her eyes, and she grasped the locket tightlyin her hands. With a smile, she said, "Oh, Weiss, I love it."

Weiss' heart skipped a beat. "Really?" she asked feeling relieved.

Ruby nodded as she placed the necklace around her neck. She grabbed the heart shaped locket and gazed at it happily. "Yes. This is the greatest gift I've ever got. I'm going to wear it all of the time."

Team RWBY all gathered around their leader with Blake and Yang leaning in for a closer look. It really was a stunning and beautiful necklace. They were both not at all surprsied that the heiress got something like this for Ruby. Weiss had been completely smitten with Ruby ever since the two of them got back together.

Blake commented, "This is so beautiful and romantic." The faunus sounded touched.

Yang nodded. "Yeah. How much did it cost you, Ice Queen?"

Weiss crossed her arms. "It is none of your business, Xiao Long." She noticed that the rest of her teammates were focused on the necklace. She whispered to her blonde friend, "I'll show you the invoice later. Just don't let Ruby know."

Qrow and Winter returned. Their clothes were roughed up, and Winter's hair was unusually untidy. The would not talk about what happened outside, and their was no evidence of a fight outside. With everyone back, they all sat down, the cake was cut, and they all enjoyed the desert before retiring to their rooms for the evening.

Ruby was sitting up on her bed, dressed in her pajamas, and staring at her new necklace. She absolutely loved the accessory. Not just because Weiss bought it for her, but also because it is such a great symbolization of their relationship. The rose pendant made out of white gold, the heart shaped locket with an engraving of their first initials, and the two pictures of them within the heart. Everything about the necklace was absolutely perfect.

Weiss climbed into be next to Ruby. "You really like that necklace, don't you, Ruby?"

The younger girl nodded. "I do. I really do." Ruby caressed the locket with her thumb feeling the engraving of their initals under her thumb. "I really love this."

Weiss leaned onto her girlfriends shoulder and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "I'm glad you love it." The heiress let out a small chuckle. "I have to admit, I was really nervous about whether or not you'd love it."

"Well, you can feel better now, because I love—" It was at this point that Ruby noticed that Weiss was just in her underwear. The redhead began to blush lightly. "Weiss, why are you in your underwear?"

Weiss shrugged. "I wanted to see if you could stand to look at me this time."

For some reason, Ruby did not feel as nervous this time as she did last time. "I can. For some reason, it doesn't bother me now."

Weiss raised an eyebrow. "Really? So you wouldn't mind if I slept with you in my underwear?"

Ruby shook her head. "I'm fine with that."

Weiss smiled. "Alright. Now even though it is your birthday, may I make one request?"

Ruby nodded. "Of course, Weiss. You can ask me anything."

Weiss whispered into Ruby's ear, "Could I see you in your underwear?"

The red head was shocked by the request. She would not have ever thought that the Schnee heiress would ask her such a thing. The thought embarrassed her somewhat, but she was happy to comply. "Sure. I mean, it is only fair, right. I get to see you in your underwear."

Ruby got up from her bed and began to remove her clothes. The first to go was her beowolf tank top, which exposed her back bra supporting her small but still developing breasts. She then grabbed her sweatpants and pushed them down to reveal her black panties. Ruby picked up her clothes and tossed them aside into the hamper. There she stood, wearing nothing but her underwear and her new necklace.

This must have been how Weiss felt just the other day. It was slighly embarrassing to be seen by someone else in just her underwear, yet at the same time she was fine with it because it is Weiss who gets to see her like this. "W-what do you think?" she stuttered.

Weiss had a slight blush. She turned her head away, but she continued to look at her girlfriend through the corner of her eye. "You look sexy." she replied.

"Yeah?"

"Yes, Ruby."

Ruby jumped into bed and cuddled up with Weiss. "Well then, I guess I'll sleep like this too."

"That is fine by me," said Weiss who was attempting to hide her blush.

Ruby let out a yawn while stretching out her arms. "I'm feeling a bit sleepy. I'm going to sleep now." She gave Weiss a kiss. "Good night, Weiss."

"Good night, Ruby," cooed Weiss.

Ruby lied down getting herself comfortable and wrapped up under the covers, and Weiss did the same. The heiress wrapped her arms around the younger girl and cuddled up close to her. At first, the sensation of their skin of their nearly naked bodies felt weird for the both of them, but after a few minutes has passed, they grew accustomed to this feeling.

Weiss laid her head down on Ruby's chest, and the latter began to run her fingers through the former's hair as she attempted to fall asleep. Weiss was relishing the affection her girlfriend was giving her. She looked at the necklace that her dolt was wearing, and she was so happy that she loved it. While looking at the necklace, the white haired girl noticed something.

She was annoyed as she mumbled, "I new it. Even hers are bigger than mine."

Well, I hope you enjoyef that chapter.

Now there is something I want to mention. Ruby mentioned the Vytal Festival tournament and the bad guys attacking Vale, but as far as this story goes, those events did happend, but not in the same way as in the show; all of the details are different. Penny is still alive, and Yang did not end up with one of her arms getting cut off. With this story, anything canon that happened after the night of the ball will have little to nothing to do with this story. So just keep that in mind.

Anyway, if you enjoyed the chapter, a review, fav, and/or follow would be greatly appreciated. Until next time! =)
