A/N: I know everyone is waiting for the update on A Life Changed. I promise I am working on it but I am having to do research on spinal cord injuries. If I have any readers who has experience or knowledge of Spinal cord injures and wouldn't mind sharing information with me please message me. It also appears as if my muse really wanted to focus on this story because I have written the next two chapters for this story. I'm hoping to have the next chapter to Birthday finished and up before tomorrow morning. I still have to pack because in the morning I leave for a week on the beach. What could possibly happen with four cops and a victims advocate on the beach with plenty of Alcohol, lol.

Alex paced back and forth in the small interrogation room at Rikers. The meeting she was about to conduct with Wesley could go one of two different ways. It would be used in court and the case possibly tossed out or Olivia could find out and either love her for it or hate her for it. The only one beside Casey that knew what she was up to was Michelle.

"Can you please stop pacing?' Casey asked as she shuffled some paperwork around "I can't believe I let you talk me into this."

"You are free to leave so nothing falls back on you, I have to do this."

"Alex…"

"Don't Alex me." Alex almost shouted stopping long enough to close her eyes and take a deep breath to calm her nerves and temper "Do you know that in over eleven states a rapist can sue for visitation rights and once they are out custody. Eleven states that's eleven states too many."

"I'm aware."

"Do you realize that New York is one of those eleven states? Can you imagine after being raped and choosing to keep the child, that you are ordered to take the child to visit it's father in prison. I use the term father loosely. How many different ways can the system rape a victim?"

Casey shrugged her shoulders as if to say I don't know.

"I can't let that happen to Michelle and certainly not Olivia." Alex ran her hand over her face and exhaled "Jesus, Casey this case is destroying her and its killing me to watch it."

"I'm not going to pretend to even begin to understand what you two are going through but Alex if his attorney finds out…"

"I'm what going to be fired, censured, disbarred?" Alex asked leaning over the red head "You need to realize there is nothing and I do mean nothing I won't do for my wife."

Casey only pursed her lips together as she stared at the blonde.

"Casey I am giving you a chance to walk away now. Everything will fall on me and I will make sure you are not tainted."

"You know in the Army they always teach you that you never leave your battle buddy ever."

Alex looked at Casey in confusion.

"You're my battle buddy."

Alex fought hard to swallow past the lump that was forming in her throat. She was about to open her mouth to say something when she heard the guards behind her. She slowly walked around and took the seat next to Casey quickly falling into her attorney mode.

Wesley sneered at the two women in front of him. He knew the blonde was his dear ole mom's wife but why she was here was beyond him.

"Mr. Smith you have chosen to have this meeting without your attorney present correct?" Casey asked as she placed a recorder between them.

"I have."

"Very well, ADA Cabot has something she would like to discuss with you."

"What could my dear ole step-mom want?" Wesley asked turning his attention to Alex "Are you looking for the signs that she's going to rape you? Or wait could it be that she is already a rapist and you cover for her? You know until Michelle met that bitch of a mother of mine she always alibi me."

Alex ground her teeth together and tried her best not to take the bait. She had never in her entire life wanted to hurt someone as bad as she did Wesley. She could imagine picking her briefcase up and slamming it against his head again and again.

"Alex" Casey whispered as she tapped her under the table with her foot.

Alex glanced at Casey out of the corner of her eye and then back at Wesley. With more confidence than she was feeling at the moment she pulled a stack of papers out of her briefcase and slid them to Wesley.

"What are these?"

"They are papers drawn up by my lawyers terminating your rights to your unborn child."

"But that is my flesh and blood." Wesley stated pushing the paperwork back toward Alex "You see I know that I have rights to him. You do know it's a boy right and like any father I hope it looks like me and acts like me."

"If I have anything to do with it he will never act like you." Alex growled through clenched teeth. "He will act like his grandmother. She is the sweetest and kindest person on the face of this earth."

"How many times has she held you down and fucked you roughly?" Wesley asked knowing he hit a nerve when he watched her body twitch "Or maybe tied you up and fucked you? That's how it started with me. Then when Michelle stopped fighting I couldn't do it anymore and went looking for other women."

Alex and Casey looked at each other and then back to Wesley.

"You raped Michelle?"

"Well, you can't rape the willing."

"First of all we do not know the gender of the baby." Alex stated as she slid the paperwork back toward Wesley "Second of all for once do something kind and sign the paperwork."

"I could but I need an incentive to do so."

"The only incentive I am willing to give you is for you to know that your child will always be taken care of and will never want for nothing." Alex said wishing she could offer him all the money she had but knew he was the type of person that would use that against her and have the contract declared null and void.

"If I still refuse?"

"Have you ever heard of the law firm Cowen, Debaetes, Abrahams, and Sheppard LLC.?" Alex asked with a smile on her face.

"No why."

"Because they are the best family law attorney's in the nation and also is now receiving a nice monthly retainer fee from my account. You think your life is a living hell with the criminal attorney you haven't seen nothing yet. They are currently waiting for a call from me to start proceedings to go after you for child support." Alex held up her hand to stop Wesley from interrupting her "Believe me when I say they can fix it to where any money you will ever receive on your books will immediately be diverted to an account for Michelle. They can also make sure that any wages you earn in prison and you will earn wages in prison because you are required to maintain a job in there will be diverted to her as well. The icing on the cake any past or future inheritances or winnings you shall ever receive will again immediately be directed to an account for her. You see all that will come in handy where you're going because there is always a price to pay."

"You wouldn't"

"Oh I will and I have they are just waiting for orders to file the papers." Alex stated once again sliding the paperwork forward to Wesley this time with a pen on top "They also have paperwork to file to have the court take your parental rights from you. So it's your choice on how you want to play this game but I would recommend you to chose wisely."

Wesley stared at Alex for a minute and then at Casey "Signing this cannot be brought up in court or used against me can it."

Casey exhaled slowly before she spoke "The only way that it could be brought up if I or your attorney brought it up. I have agreed with Alex not to bring this paperwork up in court and if your attorney has half a brain he wouldn't even ask about these papers in court. I'll be honest with you I have enough evidence against you to put the needle in your arm already I don't need these."

Wesley picked the pin up and stared at the document. The words really didn't make sense to him the best he could understand was the line that the defendant was voluntarily surrendering his parental rights to the unborn child carried by Michelle West. In return at no time in the future will Ms. West ever try to revoke this order and neither will Mr. Smith. Also in agreement between both parties the defendant can never attempt to locate said minor until they have reached the legal age of 18. Any attempts before the age of 18 will be considered a violation of a court order."

"I will sign this on one agreement." Wesley stated as he looked up at Alex for the first time showing true emotion of pain in what he was about to do.

Alex nodded for him to state his condition.

"Please let me know when he is born and the stats. You never have to tell me a name but please let me know time, weight, length and such."

Alex swallowed past the lump that was forming in her throat once again. She could only imagine if this was what Olivia was going through the day she had to sign everything away on Wesley. "I will."

"Thank you." Wesley stated signing at the four lines that were already marked for his signature. Once he finished signing he pushed it back to Alex.

"I will also make sure one picture a year is sent to you" Alex stated as she stood and placed the papers back in her briefcase "I can only imagine you are feeling what your mother felt when she had to give you up. She never got the chance to have a picture sent or anything else. As much as I hate you, I do hate you, I do not want anyone to feel the pain she has felt all these years. So I will have one picture a year sent to you all other stipulations apply."

"Yes ma'am" Wesley stated as he looked down at the table unable to look anywhere else
